• Laura Diana (6/5): - Afuera de nuestra habitación había un registros destapado y así estuvo todo el tiempo de nuestra estancia, para mí si significó un riesgo ya que iba con dos niños, cada que salían o entraban a la habitación me generaba angustia de que pudieran caerse adentro del registro o no se si sea una cisterna. En la alberca siento que les falta revisar detalles como que había una toalla húmeda en la parte de las rocas que estuvo al menos 3 días y una toalla húmeda desechable dos días, quizás son pequeños detalles, pero les resta puntos definitivamente.

They moved us immediately but unfortunately you could not pick up the WiFi inside our room, you had to go into the hall. I needed a small amount of ice to keep medicine cool and was charged 15 pesos each time. The pool the first night was unusable as a large group had taken it over and it was chaos.The staff were excellant. Location is ok,Decor is nice and place was clean .

Room was on top floor facing the pool & was extremely noisy up to 10pm when the pool closed. Being a 4-star hotel, I would’ve expected a bit more in the rooms - only bath towels. No hand towel, bath mat or face washers. Shampoo/cond was in a sachet. No pool towels provided. Good wifi connection throughout hotel. AC in rooms, although it was extremely noisy. Foul odour at the pool - not sure if it was from garden fertiliser or the cat that was wandering around (which I also think is not suitable for a hotel) - I wasn’t able to stay at the pool for this smell. The lounge chairs weren’t comfortable either.
• Flora (9/5): We had a really great time in that hotel ! - The location was really good and the restaurant staff was really really nice, in particular Fernando and Antonio. The food of the restaurant was also really good and quite cheap. Before arriving it was difficult to get in touch to be sure that a cot will be disponible in our room for our baby.

I also appreciated the fact that they were able to get me into the first available room after my very early morning arrival. Property was very clean but bedding & towels were pretty threadbare. What left a very poor impression was the terrible service in the on-site restaurant delivered by an experienced staff person. Tone was abrasive and my order was not delivered while many others who had arrived after me - was. He was then very aggressive at the end in his attempts to sell me products (mezcal, coffee, etc.) that he could provide me with. I solved that issue by having breakfast in another hotel on my 2nd morning.

• Ivette (10/5): - Hotel en muy buena ubicación, cerca de la Marina para tomar los tours y del centro, se podía llegar hasta caminando, también se encuentra cerca la incondicional muy buena mezcalera. El personal muy amable, nos hicieron favor de realizar check in unas horas antes porque nuestro vuelo que llegó temprano. El personal también te ofrece los tours al mismo precio que la marina. El servicio de restaurante es bueno y a buen precio. Un plus es que tiene sky tv. Lo recomiendo.

• Debbie (10/5): Great staff and location - This hotel was situated in the perfect position to explore. The best part for me were two exceptional staff members Leonel and Karla from reception that came to my rescue when my flight was postponed by 4 days. Using google translate and pure determination on thru part they were able to put in touch with the airline and look at alternative airports. I cannot thank them enough. Their help and support during a very stressful time allowed me to continue my holiday. It was a very busy weekend and as such the pool seemed a little cloudy and could have done with more cleaning.

Nice rooms, good ac, pool looked fine but spent most days at the beach and never got in it. I usually stay at Hotel VB next door but considering this was almost $ 35.00 per night less expensive I feel it was a great value.

• Jon (10/5): - Hotel Alikar is in a prime central location. It is well maintained and you’re only minutes from anywhere either by Taxi or walking. The Staff is very nice and friendly and very accommodating. There are plenty of breakfast options around the area to choose from and try however there Restaurant is also perfect with a lot of good menu choices and the food is made fresh. The Pool is also very clean and refreshing. They have 4 stars under their name in the lobby and I would say the Alikar is a solid 4 out of 5 Star hotel in Haultulco, Mexico.

Lo malo: Las toallas están en muy mal estado, están viejas, delgadas y algunas rotas, se escucha mucho el ruido de los pasillos y de la calle. He ido a este hotel los últimos 3 años y no ha habido cambios, el hotel sigue con los mismos malos detalles, la próxima buscaré otra opción.

NO ME GUSTÓ que pague 3 noches directamente al Hotel, el trabajo a realizar en Huatulco lo terminamos antes, quise cancelar la última noche y que me devolvieran mi dinero pues salímos un día antes, Expedia me dijo que como pague directamente debía arreglarlo con ellos, PERO ELLOS DIJERON QUE NO SE PODÍA Y QUE A PESAR DE NO OCUPAR LA ÚLTIMA NOCHE NO ME DEVOLVERÍAN LO CORRESPONDIENTE, y pues así fue salimos un día antes y JAMÁS ME DEVOLVIERON EL DINERO DEL SERVICIO NO OCUPADO. Lástima, si se vieron mal, cuidado con eso!!

• Verified traveler (4/5): After several times staying here, we wont be back. - We've stayed at this hotel several times in the past. This time however was a mess. We know that we stayed around the holidays, but during our 4 nights here we barely slept. People were around the pool partying and screaming until midnight each night. I believe they had some tour buses that would arrive around 7 pm each night and the people would get off and begin to party. We felt uncomfortable with the number of people around the pool during covid times as well with numbers reaching 30 or more people. Also the way the hotel is designed the area around the pool and restaurant tend amplify the noise so each room can really hear all the noise from the courtyard. The hotel management didn't know want or care to tell people to be quiet or enforce a quiet time, so people were loud with no repercussions. There are several mid range hotels in Huatulco, pick another!!
