• Peter (9/5): I stayed here because it is close to Hunter Mountain. - There was no breakfest. I was able to park my car. Location is great for skiing at Hunter Mountain. Rooms and bathroom were clean. There was nobody to ask questions. Picked up my key in a dropbox. Dropped it off there when I was leaving.

• Andrea (10/5): Very nice! - It was pretty clean!! When we just entered the room, it smelled and looked so clean. There is not enough light in the room.
• Mykhailo (6/5): It was okay - Great location! The room had a fridge, coffee machine, microwave, and hairdryer — very convenient. We stayed on the first floor and could hear noise from outside and the room above. The windows didn’t have proper curtains, so the outside light made it hard to sleep.

My wife & I will be back again. It was centrally located to the sights in the area, Kaaterskill Falls, North-South Lake and dining choices.

• Lior (4/5): - The only reason I give and not 1 is the staff, which was good. I come to motels to sleep, and this one was noisy. The room next to us felt like they lived there which was bizzare. They were audibly banging on the tables at 10pm and I had to ask them to stop.
• William (2/5): Beware, they close and will not answer phones. - They were not open when I arrived at 6:30. No one answered the phone and there was nothing indicating that after 6pm they were not staffed. I was left scrambling for a hotel room for the night.

• Nathaniel (6/5): - The Sunview motel is overall a pretty good hotel. The room was cozy, and the stay would have been above average except for the window situation. The front window by the door had very bright lights on directly outside of it all night, and the blinds (fully closed) did not effectively block out the light. Waking up at 2am looked like it was sunrise in the room. My husband and I had to sleep in the two separate beds and build pillow blockers to sleep behind so it wasn’t so bright. I would recommend the motel buy blackout curtains for the rooms if they’d like to keep the outdoor lighting so bright. One full length for the window without the AC, and one half length for above the AC unit.
• Gary (10/5): - This place is, in the best possible way, a blast from the past! A nice, quaint roadside motel with a mountain vibe! Great views of the Catskills from the small hill where there’s a fire pit and Adirondack chairs for relaxation and lounging. Re-read Rip Van Winkle after a fantastic dinner at Deer Mountain Inn as it got dark looking upon the mountains where the story took place. Picturesque and perfect! Had the entire motel to myself and it was so nice, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful experience!

Outdoor patio tables and chairs right on a porch for every room made an evening of cards game tons of fun. Brightly illuminated with ginormous parking area and an acre large loan.

• Ryan (8/5): - Perfect place to stay 10 minutes from Hunter Mountain. Dinning options very close. Town of Tannersville is walking distance from the hotel. If your looking for clean basic rooms with nobody to bother you and free parking definitely stay here. If your expecting a continental breakfast and hot towel to be delivered, this is not the place your looking for. Ski bum"s welcome....
• Derek (6/5): - The room was clean but be warned if you go in the winter it’s cold in the room, due to the fact there’s window air conditioners installed and no insulation around them. Pro tip take a towel and pack it around the unit the best you can, and put a blanket over the window because their floor lights stay on all night. The walls are super thin so you’ll hear everything, but for the price and location to the mountain to ski it was fine for 1 night. If you’re looking for a place longer than that then I’d look around more.

Slight thorns wouid be not quite enough blankets---had to turn the heat up rather than rely on extra blankets (which I prefer) and the bathroom window was not well insulated, so it was very cold in the bathroom.

• Wenling (8/5): Okay stay - I requested for upper floor room 2 months in advance and got a ground floor room when I checked in and room has no hot water. They were nice enough to switch me to a 2nd floor room and fixed the cold water issue but it’s not ideal as you can hear foot steps from upstairs neighbors waking you up at nights. They also don’t salt their incline entrance drive way so you should be prepared for wintery condition or colder temp nights that you may not be able to make it back to the motel.

Our room was right in front of stairs, easy access on cold night. it’s a decent property nothing fancy for the amount I spent. The location probably makes it worth it. Rooms and bed was clean, and cozy.There are plenty of options for meals that are close by walkable or 3-5 mins drive. I would recommend this and return here for few days of skiing.

It's a no frills place but kept pretty clean. The staff was very nice. shampoo/conditioner and soap in bathroom. bathroom was large and very clean. fridge in room. The full beds were a little small. would have been easier to sleep with queen size. There were two large stains in the carpet that were somewhat off putting but otherwise everything was clean.

• STEPHEN (6/5): Not the best - Arrived at 6.30pm with a reservation to find the office closed. No note, no guidance. Called the hotel # and got voicemail. Called again 15 mins later and was told my key was in the mailbox. Duh! Next morning, left at 8.00am and the office was still closed. Left my key and hoped for the best. All that said, this is an OK motel, close to town but quiet. It’s clean but needs some TLC. Bathroom smelt funky and the shower was a feeble dribble.

• John (8/5): Great value in a pleasant location. - The location was great for a Catskills hiking trip. The town of Tannersville is small but still boasts a few good places to eat. The room was fine and had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sufficient room. It is a great value as it is reasonably priced. The folks running the facility were very pleasant. Selena's diner up the road is a great place to eat. The hotel and some of the facilities are a bit outdated but it does appear they are fixing/improving things. The dog on the balcony was whining constantly which was probably the only annoying thing we noticed.

• Elaine (6/5): Won’t be back. - We didn’t have a restful night. The beds were small and uncomfortable. Bright lights shined in the window all night. The walk-in shower worked well for handicapped accessibility. Overall the room rate was very high for the room quality.

• John (8/5): - For the price and proximity to Hunter Mountain, the SunView motel was a good option. It felt clean and safe. The biggest downfall was that it was very noisy and loud being on the first floor. You could hear every car that drove past and every movement from the guest in the rooms above.
