• Thomas (10/5): - We were a family of five staying in two rooms, and we really enjoyed our time here. The location is excellent – right next to the cathedral and just a short walk to the entrance of the Pompeii archaeological park. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and everything was clean, both in the rooms and the bathrooms. The small balcony overlooking the square and the cathedral was a lovely spot to sit and take in the view. The rooms are simple and comfortable. They could easily be made a bit cozier with some color or artwork on the walls – just a small suggestion, not a complaint. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Pompeii.

Tuttavia, è vero cbe ho pagato pochissimo , ma la pulizia del bagno era carente, le pareti del bagno erano sporche così come il wc. .Anche nella stanza i muri erano sporchi e scrostati e in generale era parecchio mal messa. Il posto in cui è ubicato l'albergo è perfetto , ben collegato e Pompei è una bella cittadina.

Het is heerlijk om het hotel uit te lopen en op het plein te zitten, het is heel fijn om lopend naar de opgravingen te gaan. Parkeren is een nachtmerrie! Onduidelijke machines en duur.

• Sam (8/5): Good value in a great location - We booked this last minute after worrying about not getting back to Sorrento following a concert attending at the amphitheatre, which was just a short walk away — a big plus in the heat. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be given an upgrade, and the manager also offered complimentary breakfasts for both of us, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was comfortable and overlooked the main square in front of the cathedral, giving us a real sense of place. The air conditioning was very welcome, especially with temperatures hitting the 30s, and we managed a decent night’s sleep. The location is excellent — close to restaurants, bars, and, of course, the Pompeii Ruins. Breakfast was ok, although a toastie grill might help speed things up a bit in the morning rush. The staff were friendly and the coffee hit the spot. For the price we paid, in the location this was, and for the convenience, this was good value 😊
• Verified traveler (6/5): Great staff awful experience - Staff was super nice and tried to be helpful but our room was small, floor was dirty, beds squeaky and there was no cold water. We couldn’t shower because the water was scalding. I finally washed my hair in the tiny sink. The outlet in the bathroom was sticking out of the wall and the cover for plumbing was off as well so they must have known there was a plumbing issue

• Verified traveler (2/5): Doesnt worth - Very old structure in every meaning, we were there during November and We had many mosquitos in the room, we couldn’t sleep at all.
• Kristen (2/5): - Property was infested with mosquitoes. There were over 20 in the room. Woke up with multiple bug bites and staff showed no consideration. When we informed the staff, they were fully aware of a bug problem but stated they cannot do anything. There was no soap in the washrooms and no WIFI as respresented. In response we were moved to a different room that had dangerous electrical circuitry. When I plugged in the phone the cable sparked and I felt seriously endangered. All lights went out. Staff had complete disregard or care for the serious safety issue. Owner denied any issues. Avoid staying here at all costs.
• Gabriel (8/5): - Great option to stay in Pompei. The hotel is clean, in a centre of Pompeii, the ruins, the train station and the Santuario are walkable. The breakfast is good. The front desk personnel are very kindly, they always helped us with any requirement. The only bad thing is that there is not WiFi in the rooms, just in the lobby.

• Howard James (10/5): - A lovely traditional Italian hotel. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Our room and the hotel were immaculately clean. Okay, so there was no wifi reception in the room, but so what? The wifi reception in the public reception area was very good. The hotel is central to everything and a few hundred yards from the ruins of Pompeii. I would definitely stay here again. x

Hotel manager was extremely rude and was not willing to work with us when we had an extra person in our party due to an air b&b mixup. We ended up overcharged for a low quality room. They watched us coming and going from our room the entire time we were there, as if expecting us to do something wrong and waiting to make us pay for it. Not worth it!

• Leah (6/5): - This place was like a hostel. Beds were very comfortable and view was nice. Bathroom was very small, toilet seat needed to be tightened. Tv did not work. Hotel was basic but a good value for the money. Rooms need to be updated.
• gregory (10/5): Beautiful location. - I was so pleasantly surprised at the location right next to this beautiful church and park and for whatever reason there was a fireworks show for about 5 minutes right where I was sitting at the outdoor part of the hotel bar. Only negative was wifi only in lobby.
• Montserrat (8/5): Pompeii a dream came true - My dream to visit Pompeii and climb the Vesuvius came true. Staying centrally located within walking distance is an important factor since I traveled solo. The location is fantastic. The hotel has a lot of history since 1871. It was instrumental in the excavation of Pompeii. Rooms are basic and yet comfortable. This was within my budget but location wise was fabulous.

One criticism has to be the shower in our room. It was very old, tiny and the water didn’t drain so overflowed.
• Zoe (6/5): Clean. Basic. Perfect Location - The hotel room was very basic. The hotel location is perfect for Pompei ruins and the Basillica . It’s a great base for visiting this side of the Naples area. Parking is in a safe nearby car park which the hotel has an agreement with for 15 Euro per day and you can come and go as you please. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room we had was really basic and definitely had room for improvement in regards to the bed and furniture. Also lack of plugs for our phone chargers etc . In the shower there was nowhere to put your soap/shampoo. There was also no toilet roll holder. The room was cleaned every day and we had clean towels every day.

Lent us a phone charger and helped with train times and where shops were. The lady who cleans the rooms always has a smile. Nice breakfast, immaculately clean - only lacks wifi on the rooms
• Curtis (8/5): Very good budget hotel. - Friendly helpful multilingual staff. Good location right on the piazza. 5 minute walk to the train station, 10 minute walk to the Pompeii Ruins and a nice church across the street. Being on the piazza there is some street noise but the room I stayed in had good sound dampening and was not directly over the main square. No wifi in the room which isn't ideal and the furnishings are dated as you'd expect for a hotel in this price range. Secure room with balcony, fridge, good shower and clean. Standard Mediterranean breakfast well serviced. All amenities very close by. Very good value for the money.

Pros: Walking distance from Pompei Found cheap parking at restaurant next to the hotel (different management) Cons: Place cleanness was horrible Balcony full of bird $#!+ Bathroom wasnt cleanned at all WIFI only at ground level No courtesy drinking water Service at maindesk was very rude and mean Only ONE toilet paper roll Room was filthy and stink Overall was an unpleasant stay. • ela (4/5): Hotel - Worddrobe hanging off its hinges. Air con was so nosy it sounded like it was going to explode. So did not use it. Breakfast was very different each day.. did get yogurt the last 2 days. As well as cake do that was good. Staff frendly. While sitting outside I was asked if I wanted Sex. So a little shocked and frightened about that. I would not stay in this hotel again.
• brad (4/5): Not a great stay - It's on older hotel, but this is Italy. The beds were not very comfortable. The room itself was fine. Not super nice, but fine for a night or 2. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly. The real problem was the concert going on in the plaza right next to the hotel. There was VERY loud music playing till almost 1 in the morning. I know this is not the hotel's fault, but I should have been notified before. One of our 2 rooms was facing the stage. It was like they were in the room with us.

• Lesley (8/5): Friendly and helpful staff - The hotel is very clean and the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the bar is somewhat limited, but again the staff are very friendly. I only ate in the restaurant once and was rather disappointed with the food. The hotel looks out onto a lovely piazza with fountains and the cathedral and campanile; for 2 euros you can take the lift to the top for fantastic views.
• Tim (10/5): A great hotel for a reasonable price! - The room was comfortable, and right next to the ruins. The multi-lingual staff was friendly, and offered many suggestions about things to do and how to get there. There is a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel. Along the streets within a 2 block radius are tons of small cafes, bars, and restaurants. There are tons of things to do within walking distance that are either touristic or more authentic depending on the direction you want to walk. The staff at the hotel gave some excellent tips on how to find a more authentic experience.
