Guest Reviews
- Olivier (10/5): On y retournera! On y retournera!
- Anastasiya (10/5): - Amazing place with wonderful view. The hosts are both very nice, excellent breakfast served at a time you want. Room is small but very nicely decorated. Opened shower is a bit strange :)
Accueil chaleureux.
Chambre propre et joliement aménagée.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Can’t wait to go back - The hosts Pascale and Phillipe were lovely and the room was just fantastic. I was only there for one night for business but look forward to going back in the summer time to experience the peace and tranquility that is Le Clos Du Cher
- Robert (10/5): - Great location in the quite country side. Not far from Lyon. Dinner was great and the owner were very nice.
- Jill (10/5): Great place to stay - We used this as a base to visit Le Tilia Restaurant in Joux and the Beaujolais villages. Our hosts were very welcoming and provided us with everything we needed. The big room we were given was in the converted stables so the architecture was interesting. The space was expansive and had a large bedroom section as well as a seating area. We also had a nice area outside for sitting down and taking in the view. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner provided by the hosts on our first night was amazing, including the cheese board with more than 10 different local cheeses.
- Shenshen (10/5): We enjoyed so much. - I went with my mom. It was super great trip for us. Pascale & Philippe were super host. They not only picked us from train station, but also took us to the ghost far. We were able to experience the most local Lyon farm view, life and food of course. Room was clean and cozy. Highly recommend for stay and dinner.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cozy country side bed and breakfast. - This is one of those magical places in the French country side that you see in the movies. The hosts are a lovely couple, who will make your stay just perfect. Our breakfast on the balcony overlooking the surrounding area was the best part of our whole multi week European trip. Will be dreaming about coming back to this place.

- Karen (10/5): A unique experience in an incredible location - We found this Lovely former vineyard on Hotels.com and from the time of booking it was a wonderful experience. We got a nice note from Philippe & Pascal asking if we'd like dinner on our arrival. I would highly recommend anyone take this unique offer. They made us a wonderful home cooked locally sourced dinner, with wine from the local co-operative, then spent time giving us tips of the area, places we would never have discovered without their assistance. They make you feel so welcome, and the accommodations are one of a kind, stunning decor and very comfortable. We hope to come back.
- Orna (10/5): - The owner's are very nice , place was clean and quiet area , beautiful surrounding highly recommended
- Catherine (10/5): A Dream Come True in a Charming Village - A dream come true!! Le Clos du Cher was everything I could dream of and more. We stayed in the Red Room which was spacious, private, and beautifully decorated. The room had everything you could want- an electric tea kettle and supplies, an expresso maker, even an umbrella to use. The wifi was reliable, the water was delicious, the bed was comfortable. The included breakfast was great; coffee, fresh squeezed juice, ham and cheese, french bakery, and eight kinds of jam! It was served in a beautiful room with a view and soft music. Within walking distance is a charming village with epicure and bakery. The hosts served a fantastic, traditional, homemade dinner for us one night...WOW! Since I didn't have a car during the day Pascale and Phillipe included me in their daily trips and errands, sometimes dropping me off in yet another charming village for a few hours before picking me up again. They know and love the area, so they gave us great tips on where to go, even scheduling a Beaujolais tasting with a local wine maker (a top experience in this trip!). Their dog is sweet and well mannered. I highly recommend this guesthouse!
- Bruno (10/5): Du cachet. Du silence. Du repos. - Great stay. Du cachet. Du silence. Du repos.
- Murray (10/5): Lovely, informal, friendly, quiet retreat - We arrived to be greeted by Pascal and Furher the dog and were shown into their beautiful home where we met Phillip in the kitchen such a lovely atmosphere we felt so welcomed,Pascal showed us to our room which was everything i hoped it would be a simply stunning space with high quality amenities and amazing views. We were asked if we wanted dinner being my first time in France i didn't know what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised with a beautiful four course dinner and some varied conversations with lots of laughs. We slept very well in the big comfy bed and woke up refreshed breakfast was a joy inc homemade yoghurts plenty of choice you will not be disappointed.Overall if you're looking for something with style, class, serenity, home from home vibe and great value then this is your place. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay. Only wish we could have stayed longer.
