• Helen (10/5): Our first trip to Marrakesh and we shall definitely be back to stay here! - Fantastic central location right in the Medina yet so quiet and calm once you’re through the door inside this beautiful Riad. Every need was cared for …. Mohamed was so kind and informative in advising us on fabulous places to visits, arranging transfers & taxis, booking tables etc. Our room was delightful and the fresh flowers and daily replenishment of fruit and bottled water lovely. Being handed a cold bottle of water each time we left the Riad also really appreciated! The roof top relaxation areas and pool were stunning and so comfortable after a busy day exploring! That we didn’t stay for longer!

Riad haut de gamme pour clientèle qui aime le luxe et les attentions. l'emplacement pour le déjeuner est une table commune, c'est un peu dommage si on aime pas le système "table d'hôtes" malgré tout il est possible de déjeuner ailleurs sur la terrasse mais alors moins bien installés (tables basses). salle de bain un peu trop petite, et peu d'espace rangement (trop étroit) dommage car la chambre est très grande. le lit était trop haut meme pour nous qui sommes grands..
• Hans-Rudolf (10/5): Mitten in der Medina von Marrakesch ein Paradies aus Gastfreundschaft und eine Oase der Ruhe - Mohamed hat uns unsere Wünsche geradezu von den Lippen abgelesen. Nach unserer Ankunft am Morgen wurde uns ein herrliches Frühstück auf der Dachterasse serviert, und so ging es weiter während unserem ganzen Aufenthalt. Besser geht Gastfreundschaft nicht …. Nichts, alles war perfekt für uns!

• Everett (10/5): An amazing Riad - one of the best places we've ever stayed. Best concierge service and staff! - The hotel was in an amazing location, just opposite The Secret Garden, however, it was also really quiet. The staff and service was exceptional. Basically they provided a full concierge service - the best we've ever had (and we've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels). For example, I saw something in the souq on the first day and couldn't find it again - a few hours after my request they sent me a pin and an address to locate it! Their recommendations were great. There were rose petals and fresh roses when we arrived. They refreshed a bowl of fresh strawberries at least once a day. The breakfasts were amazing and we arrived at 10am and they still served us a full breakfast for no extra charge. We left at 8pm and there was no question of charging for extra time, we were free to use the facilities. There were only 5 rooms and there are so many different areas in the Riad and on the rooftop so you could be solitary or social. Their rooftop terraces were amazing. We honestly couldn't recommend the staff and the facilities enough. They provided great recommendations re restaurants and food. It was an amazing stay! Having to leave! Although they don't have a restaurant we didn't realise they could organise a dinner in the hotel at your request, although perhaps that's on us as they always brought delicious nibbles with drinks etc.
• Rachel (10/5): Exceptional, well appointed luxury Riad with attentive, friendly staff not to be missed - The Riad in the north medina, very central and only 5-7 minutes walk from taxi drop off; staff meet you to put any luggage in a cart. Every member of staff was exceptional, so helpful and ensuring that your stay was the best. None more so than Mohamed who ensured we were accompanied, if needed, to local restaurants, helped book activities to suit us and was always welcoming. It is a small, intimate raid, quiet, with a beautiful rooftop terrace and well appointed rooms and after a few days it felt like home and we will miss all the friendly staff. It is difficult to think of any bad points. For us, over three score and ten with bad knees, the stone steps up to the rooms and breakfast areas were a challenge at the end of the day!

The riad is beautiful, calm, and perfectly located in the Medina. The staff, especially managers on duty, were exceptionally kind, polite, and helpful — they made us feel truly welcome from the first minute. Honestly, nothing. Everything was excellent — service, comfort, cleanliness, and the overall atmosphere.

• Fox (10/5): - Honestly cannot rate this riad high enough. Hands down the best place I have stayed at in 23 countries. The accommodation itself is beautiful - a traditional riad fitted out in style and taste and a cool, calm refuge after a day sightseeing in the heat. The team led by Mohamed were attentive, helpful and professional. Fabulous breakfasts on the roof and drinks/snacks offered at all hours. Mohamed organised everything - transfers, tours, restaurant bookings - and could not have been more helpful. I thoroughly recommend Dar Mo'Da. Nothing!

• Margaret (10/5): - Riad Dar Mo’Da is truly special; one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. The property itself is stunning - with a gorgeous courtyard and elegant yet comfy furnishings, and design and decor details that clearly draw on the owner’s career in the global fashion business. No detail is overlooked. It was remarkable how quiet and restful the riad was when the medina outside was hectic and bustling. But the real gem is the staff and the hospitality. It’s the kind of hospitality that feels effortless and sincere, but which clearly involves much thoughtfulness to execute. Mohamed, the manager of the property, not only made our stay at the riad exceptional and made us truly feel like VIPs the entire time - he also has impeccable taste. He helped us with restaurant and shopping recommendations, and every place he suggested was exactly to our taste. But the entire staff was also so warm and welcoming, and you got the sense they were genuinely happy to see you as you greeted them in the hallways. The daily breakfast was amazing - I will dream of the orange blossom pancakes and the homemade marmalades. I will certainly be back, and next time, I’ll take them up on their offer to learn to cook a meal in their kitchen - although I don’t think I can come close to their skill.
• Petra (10/5): Wir hätten es nicht besser auswählen können! - Das Riad liegt in touristisch sehr belebter Lage im angesagtesten Teil des Souks und bietet nach Eintritt durch das Tor eine Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung! Es ist sehr stilsicher eingerichtet, hat die höchste stylische Dachterrasse der Gegend mit super Ausblick über Stadt und Atlasgebirge. Als Gast wird man rund um die Uhr sehr zuvorkommend umsorgt- auch mehrmals tgl mit Tee und Gebäck und Wasserflaschen. Es gibt wertvolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants, gern war der Gastgeber behiflich mit Reservierungen. Das gilt auch für Transfers zum Flughafen, wobei das Gepäck vom Personal zur Taxistelle geführt wird. Es gab wirklich nichts zu beanstanden!

• Britta (10/5): Serene setting in the heart of Marrakech’s hustle and bustle - Dar Mo’Da was absolutely gorgeous. The property was clearly designed and curated to be an elevated stay in beautiful and serene surroundings. You would never know that just steps outside the doors the hustle and bustle of the souk awaits. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and the amenities were lovely (rooftop dipping pool, several rooftop patio levels, views of the city, etc.). The rooms are quiet with plenty of light during the day but nicely dark at night, ideal for a good night’s rest. Dar Mo’Da is in the perfect location to explore the heart of the Medina. The staff was incredible - they picked us up at the airport (small fee, completely worth it), helped us figure out fair prices for items in the market, made reservations at wonderful restaurants, fed us delicious breakfasts, and were just generally kind and thoughtful. We weren’t sure about cultural practices during Ramadan, and the staff gave us insight on navigating Morocco during the religious season. We had moved locations to join up with a larger group, and I had to return to pick up something left behind. They not only held onto my items, but also welcomed us to stay for a few minutes on the divine rooftop patio with a birthday drink. If I ever have the pleasure of visiting Marrakech again, I would stay here again, without a doubt. That we had to leave!

• Wolfgang (10/5): Super gastfreundliches Riad mitten in der Altstadt mit Rund um Sorglos Pakte - Eine zauberhafte Unterkunft und ein Ruhepool mitten in der Altstadt. Das zentral gelegene Riad gewinnt aber noch zusätzlich durch die excellente Gastfreundschaft des Teams. Besonders das "Kümmern um Alles" hat uns zu entspannten 4 Tagen in Marrakesh verholfen. Mohamend hat nicht nur die Abholung vom Flughafen organisiert, sondern auch einen privaten Führer, den wir uns geleistet haben (lohnt sich!), die Abendessen Lokation empfohlen und reserviert, sich um den Ausflug ins Atlas Gebirge gekümmert usw. Einfach perfekt - und hier nochmal vielen Dank dafür, Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war reichlich und es wird auf alle machbaren Wünsche eingegangen. Das Riad liegt sehr zentral und durch die Nähe zum "Secret Garden" auch immer wieder zu finden. Wenn Riad Übernachtung, dann gibt es für uns nur dieses - und wir haben schon viele Reisen mit Booking hinter uns, so herzlich waren nur wenige. Nichts, war perfekt.

There was a lot of space and a beautiful outdoor terrace. The location is excellent being in the medina and yet also so quiet and peaceful. The staff were exceptional and couldn’t help enough, especially Mohamed.
• James (10/5): This riad helped make our stay in Marrakech so special - would highly recommend! - We loved staying at Dar Mo’Da - it was a very nice property that felt like a little oasis from busy Marrakech. Location was really good, central enough for easy walking around and access to sites, while still being in a nice part of the medina. Room was a good size and well decorated, had a comfortable bed/bedding, included a safe, and had central heating if it was colder at night. The water was also filtered at the property, but bottled water was also refreshed in the room daily or provided for free as you were coming and going. Every morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast (which we got to tailor from day 1 to suit our preferences) on the rooftop and it was a lovely place to sit if you had some afternoon sun or wanted a mint tea. Shoutout to Mohammed who went above and beyond with making the stay special by helping us book various experiences and restaurants or give us advice on where to shop or what to see while we were strolling the streets of the medina. We loved the whole team here at the riad - they were so kind and really made it hard to leave! Only watch out is no locks on the room doors - it helps keep true to the feel of how the riad was built and everything fine/there was a safe for passports etc, but in case it would bother others.

Die Zimmer sind alle überdurchschnittlich groß und bis ins Detail liebevoll gestaltet. Alles war blitzsauber, und der Service ist extrem serviceorientiert: aufmerksam, schnell und dabei angenehm unaufdringlich. Die Herzlichkeit von Mohamed und dem Team macht den Aufenthalt wirklich besonders. Für uns ganz klar das beste Urlaubserlebnis überhaupt. 10/10.

• Torild Hoff (10/5): 1001 night meets heartwarm service - We had the most amazing accomodation in the "annex" that had room for both us grown ups and our teenage son who was superhappy to have his own room with a bath. The private terrace outside our room was used a lot by us, having mint tea and just chilling. Roof terrace had the best view imaginable. we enjoyed our breakfast there every morning. Perfect location for visiting the souks and retreating when it gets too much. Mohamed and team were exceptional, a service straight from the heart delivered with a smile. Nothing too much. Just wow! It was sad to leave....
• Aarti (10/5): A home away from home - Ok, firstly we need to give a big shout out to the staff at the Riad. All the team were amazing. Starting with Mohamed, who right before we were due to travel messaged us to ask if we needed to be collected from the airport. From then on he was so attentive and helpful. The rest of the team; Mo, Mallika 1, Mallika 2, and the lovely Suleiman all ensured we were well looked after throughout our stay. But best of all was the beautiful African Grey Parrot, Luna who will steal your heart. The Riad is right in the Medina opposite Le Jardin de Secret. The Medina itself is just a cacophony of the bustle of tourists and retailers, but once you are inside the property it’s like a little quiet oasis. The property was clean, aesthetically beautiful and like home away from home. Lovely rooms, and facilities. Location wise right next to some nice lounges and bars, and easy walking distance to many others. Though if you ask Mohamad or Mo you will get some amazing recommendations and they may even help make the reservations. The medina normally is so busy that we were very put off, but our experience in the Riad is why we will keep coming back here. Can’t fault anything about it

The room, facilities, food and staff were truly incredible. It felt like being at home! We couldn't recommend it highly enough! There was nothing we didn't like. We have no negatives at all.

Emme ole koskaan saaneet näin hyvää ja henkilökohtaista palvelua, mutta silti inhimillistä, ystävällistä ja ilman mitään numeroa asiasta. Henkilökunta on täysi kymppi. • Julia (10/5): - Das Riad ist wunderschön und malerisch, mit nur fünf Zimmern, was eine sehr persönliche und familiäre Atmosphäre schafft. Der Service ist überdurchschnittlich – Mohamed und sein Team sind äußerst aufmerksam und tun alles, damit man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Unser Zimmer mit Terrasse war sehr schön, auch wenn das Bad etwas eng ausfiel und wir uns eine Minibar gewünscht hätten. Insgesamt ist das Riad eine kleine, magische Oase fernab vom Lärm und Trubel – absolut erstklassig!
• Elvira (10/5): Wie im Märchen, Gastfreundschaft 💯 - Wunderschönes Riad, wie in einem Märchen aus 1001 Nacht. Das Allerbeste ist aber Mohamed und seine Mitarbeiter. Mohamed weiss bereits im Voraus, was du ev wissen oder tun möchtest. So eine Gastfreundschaft und Herzlichkeit findet man selten! Und das Essen im Riad war königlich! Da gibt es nichts.

From the moment I arrived, I felt more like a guest in a private home than a traveler passing through. The riad itself is stunning — beautifully restored with refined Moroccan design, a rooftop with sweeping city views, and serene corners that feel worlds away from the bustle of the souks just outside. Every detail is thoughtful, from the décor to the comfort of the rooms. What truly sets Dar Mo’Da apart, however, is the service. Mohamed deserves special recognition. He went above and beyond at every turn — from personally guiding me through the winding alleys, to arranging dinners and excursions, to making sure I always felt comfortable and cared for. He’s warm, professional, and incredibly genuine. His local knowledge made my stay not only smoother but also far richer. I’ve traveled extensively, and Dar Mo’Da is among the rare places where hospitality feels personal and authentic, not transactional. If you’re visiting Marrakech and want an experience that combines luxury, comfort, and heartfelt care, I cannot recommend Dar Mo’Da — and Mohamed — enough. Not a thing. Everything was exceptional. Designet er utrolig gjennomført, takterrassen har den beste utsikten, og det lille bassenget på taket er prikken over i'en. Rommet var nydelig, kjøleskapet fylt opp til enhver tid. They are very service oriented and are always available to assist with any requests. The manager Mohamed is wonderful. The rooftop pool is a bit small for swimming but really nice to cool off when the weather is hot. Breakfast is served on the rooftop. It is varied, very tasty and copious enough to serve as breakfast and lunch. We would highly recommend this riad if you want to spoil yourselves while in Marrakech.

• George (10/5): Good go back to it. - Mohamed, the concierge, is exceptional. Very helpful and is someone whose suggestions and recommendations I felt I could trust. The hotel is 10 steps away from the Secret Garden and this convenience is not to be overlooked because Secret Garden always has very long lines to get in and is absolutely worth visiting. The roof top terrace is possibly the best from the souk. From there, I have 360 unobstructed view of the souk. Perfect for sunrise and sunset, etc. The only downside is that there is no formal restaurant in this Riad but there are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. I rarely leave reviews like this and of this length, ever. It's that good :) No formal in house restaurant like other Riads
• Marko (10/5): Fantastic hotel - The hotel is centrally located in the old town. The hotel staff are fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a wonderful setting to enjoy the peace and quiet. Breakfast was enjoyed on the roof terrace.
• Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Dar Moda was above and beyond anything we had expected. With the riad being situated in heart of the medina, it’s easy to experience the bustling city when staying there, the view of which can be seen form the riad’s lovely rooftop terrasse while enjoying breakfast. The entire establishment is furnished very elegantly and calmingly, providing a perfect refuge from the lively environment of Marrakech outside its walls. However, the aspect that makes staying at the riad an absolute pleasure is by far its staff. Everyone there (incl. Mohamed, Hussein, Redewn etc.) were so incredibly kind, service minded and – above all – attentive to both our spoken and unspoken wants and needs. They have a high care for detail and ensured our suite was always in top notch shape (clearly having looked it over multiple times a day). As a result, it always felt like returning to a comforting safe haven after spending the day out. Additionally, Mohamed was very helpful in providing guidance around the city, great recommendations and reservations to various restaurants based on our preferences, as well as transportation to and from the locations when needed. To sum up, you definitely get your money’s worth at Dar Moda, and we would recommend staying at the riad to anyone travelling to Marrakech.

The rooms were spacious with thought given to what guests would need - Moroccan adaptors, hooks for hanging, benches for bags. The service was exceptional. Mohammed and his team were always on hand and, as well as providing delicious drinks and food, organised everything from restaurants to taxis to shopping. The location was perfect - in the Medina - right on the edge of the souks but also a straightforward walk to the city walls. Nothing!

The location is a very nice part of the Medina , close to a lot of museums and to the Palace. Everything was excellent. There are lots of steep stairs though. The stay was incredibly personal, the staff went above and beyond every day asking for ways to assist my husband and I and making recommendations. Every morning when we had an early departure for an excursion the team woke with us making sure we had coffee and food before we left which was outside of normal breakfast hours. The accommodations were gorgeous. I could've spent a full day at the riad relaxing, reading, enjoying the rooftop and terrace. I loved every day but I loved coming back to this place and knowing that I would not need to worry for one minute. Thank you so much for making this experience, truly I would never tell anyone to stay anywhere else. This should be blank in every review that is completed. I loved every moment of our stay and I wish we had stayed longer.

The breakfasts were wonderful and the location of the Riad is perfect, right next to the Secret Garden and 7 minutes walk from the main square. The decoration is gorgeous and everything felt very luxurious. I would recommend watching the sunset from the terrace with a beer and snacks. Nothing!
