Guest Reviews
- Daniel (2/5): - Sheets were stained and place has bed bugs. Confirmed by doctor that our child had bed bug bites the day of check out. Beware
- Keona (10/5): - Good
- Keona (10/5): - It’s ok
- Julie (10/5): - It was nice and quiet
- Mary (6/5): - The staff is great and the cleaning lady is wonderful but I just didn't like the upper coorperate company that owns the place.
- Hong-Ying (8/5): - Service somehow intense. Reminding me the games my lover likes. Lots memories from the past. But we all grew up and should live her the right way. And no matter where she is, we have to meet one day.
- Jason (8/5): - Oh the staff was friendly the guy walked me 2 the room and if need anything let him know. That was the only time i ever got walked to my room. It wasn't the nicest room. You get what you pay for.
- Donna (10/5): - Was a little skeptical at first but after seeing the room and staying there it was perfect for what I needed. Would stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
- Roger (4/5): Photos of these rooms are a lie - The room we were given looked NOTHING like the photos on their website. There was no one at the desk either of the two times we went there after checking in, including when we checked out. No housekeeping people were seen by us at any time. We couldn't be PAID to stay there again. You decide for you.
- Jeremy (8/5): No frills, but not a bad stay - The location is a repurposed medical facility. It’s a good value for the rate, very basic no frills hotel close to Hallett race circuit. The front desk staff is not at the front desk but a small amount of time so you have to call to check in. Young man walked me to my room and was nice. Room was missing the chain lock and it was odd to have the shower in the room without privacy if was to share the room with someone. Bathroom very small and low toilet. The ac control knob was missing and I left a note for the staff to replace while I was out for the day, but was not done. Not a big deal since was moderate temp that week. Very lukewarm water in shower. Overall it’s a dry clean place to stay and better than in a tent at track. Maybe next time I can get a room like in the photos on site.
- Melody (2/5): - We showed up to check in waited 45min walked inside and outside of property.. no one ever came to counter.. had to stay in the next town at another hotel.. then hotel refuses to refund us for the room we prepaid for! they show us as a no show but THE HOTEL WAS NO SHOW NOT THE GUEST
- Niabi (8/5): Purpose of Kitchenette! - I have traveled often and picked a room with a kitchenette intentionally during Thanksgiving with the idea of being able to prepare meals. There was NO UTENSILS, POTS, PANS OR GLASSES. We love the Drumright Inn and the hospitality, but the kitchenette was a disappointment because people don't typically travel with those items. I hope they choose to at least have the minimum items to utilize in that space.
- Deanna (4/5): - No maid service for the few days I was there. Have to wait an entire hour for enough hot water to even think about a shower. Walls between rooms are very thin can hear the
neighbors in whatever they are doing. Was not a place I will return to.
- Rick (6/5): - There was no toilet paper in the restroom. The room was not really clean, but what can you expect for the price.
There was a cobweb in the room… so I laughed as it was Halloween month.
Would not stay in the renovated hospital turned Motel again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable and Quiet - We had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and the air conditioning was cool and quiet. The staff is friendly.
- SharkKisses (2/5): Bates Motel - Positives: The couple who manage it were pleasant. However, they were off property when I arrived, so I had to wait about 45 min to check in. Pets are allowed with no extra fees.
Negatives: The location is down the backroads & isolated. If you need anything at all, you must drive onto town..you can’t even get a pizza delivered there.
Ok. The room pictures shown online are blatantly false. Not just photoshopped ..but just lies. The exterior is accurate, I thought it had been a school. Ohh no. It used to be a hospital/nursing home facility around the 60’s to 80’s, Little to no attempt was made to freshen up the place. I’m not some new age crystal chic, but I would not have booked there had I known. Just bad energy..the place a chaotic maze of dark, stale hallways that are packed full of…stuff. Just old stuff which was…weird.
The Room (Single Queen). No. Just no. I was so pissed that I made side by side pictures of what was advertised vs what I got, which I have attached. I think they adequately show how horrible it was. I mean…the shower randomly just there in the middle of the room was enough…no need to add the whole ‘you might..probably will get murdered or possessed during your stay’ vibe to it.
This whole thing was a debacle. The aesthetic was just gross…but it is actually in a state of disrepair that is hazardous. There was a weird old industrial style 2 unit plug-in behind the headboard that had a broken cover and exposed wiring, and I would not be surprised if there was extensive mold growing under the carpet by the shower…I did not see or smell any evidence of that though. Everything was at least 10yrs out of date, even the tv.
Honestly the thing that bothers me the most is the blatant false advertising that this chain engages in. ‘Oh, we’re a cute little budget boutique hotel….obviously they have zero regard for the customer.
- Jeffn92 (2/5): Run down / dirty / awkward - First of all went out of my way because of the good reviews and man were they misleading. The sheets on the bed were dirty and had hair all over them. Locks on the door would not work. No smoke detector. No peep hole in the door. No hot water. One towel for the shower witch is next to the bed. Ac filter was solid dust would barely work before I cleaned the filter. They did tell me the internet was down but not that the cable was also out so no t v. Very then walls I could hear everything the neighbors were saying. Table had sticky stuff all over it. Apparently this was a hospital they turned into a motel. It shows.
- James (6/5): - The room was ok. The refrigerator quit running the day before checkout so it ruined food. The cable went out the day before. When we checked in they never gave us Wi-Fi password. The toilet in the room had to be plunged everyday, we couldn’t get it, was told someone was coming but never did. The stay was 2 weeks for my daughter and her 2 day old newborn. One of the chairs was already broken in the room along with some missing blinds. There was no housekeeping at all, I picked them up several days we turned the sign to please come in. So luckily I got her towels and toiletries to last including bought her toilet paper. 1 washer and dryer free to use however they were not great took a long time, other guests were removing clothes to do theirs. Very frustrating for a new mother needing to constantly wash. The hot water in the shower took a long time to heat up, needed to turn ac off while showering. Hard to get a hold of front desk for anything. No phone in room.
- James (2/5): - I booked my room several days in advance. When I arrived, I was told they had none of the rooms I payed for. Instead, I would be upgraded to a room with a kitchenette. The room I was given had no air conditioning. There was no window unit and the central AC did not work. In fact, the thermostat was hidden behind shelving which I had to move to access. The thermostat did nothing. I had to get by with a ceiling fan for the night. Note this was in late July. When I called the front desk, I was simply told to call Expedia to get a refund. I got a refund for my second night and bailed out.
- Louise (8/5): - Nothing fancy but clean, coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Best price ever! The staff were friendly and provided all I needed.
- Alexandria (10/5): - The staff is very loving and made me and my family feel right at home love this place and I joyed being here
- Larra (2/5): - This place was terrible. There was trash stuffed under the beds, blankets looked dirty and were wrinkly, coffee pot was full of mold. I ended up not staying and went tona different hotel
- Rachael (6/5): - The pictures on Expedia are very misleading. This place, although the staff was friendly gives me the creeps. The walls are so thin you can hear everything. Shower in the middle of the room, bathroom almost looks like a shared bathroom. Picked this place because it was pet friendly which I loved! I mean you get what you pay for but I’ll pass on this place next time.
- Diana (2/5): - Run, stay somewhere else this place is straight out of a horror picture
- Nicolau (2/5): - there was absolutely nothing I liked about it.
The sheets were dirty, there was still hair from the previous person, the room was in a industrial shed with no windows, I felt fleas in my legs.
I grabbed my stuff out of there, jumped into the car, and went to a hotel in Tulsa.
I can say that I have traveled the world, working in aerospace providing technical support to airlines around the globe.... I have to say that this has been my worst experience in an hotel. Oyo hotels should be ashamed for not refunding my money.
- April (8/5): - The building is an old hospital, one story, and it's well maintained for it's age. Nothing is fancy or high end, most renovations are low budget, but properly done. If you enjoy unique and odd buildings, you will enjoy this location.
- Keith (4/5): - There were no hot water within the shower
- Elissa (8/5): - Was just there for one night to go to a graduation in Stillwater. All motels in Stillwater were extremely high. This was very reasonably priced. I booked a queen bed but there were none available so they upgraded me to a king free of charge. However it was the hardest bed i ever slept on. There was a covered deck outside my room and about 9:30 i could distinctly here a couple fighting out there. I heard alot of Fbombs. Finally i got out of bed, turned on all the lights and open the curtains so they could see me and they went away. Also the dead bolt on the door did not work. The desk is not manned at night so i did not feel I could complain to anyone. There was a big gap between the door and the jamb so i heard everything fhat went on in the hall. However it was clean and very reasonably priced.
- Colin (2/5): Nasty old retirement home that had no rooms - I got there and they were overbooked and nobody there. A note at front desk to call a # and they answered and said they were full and sorry, go away.
- Genevieve (2/5): - When checking in there wasn’t anyone at the front desk so we called. When she finally showed up she wasn’t wearing shoes. She then proceeded to tell us that there weren’t any rooms available even though we had a reservation. I asked to speak to a manager who cursed at us said it wasn’t her problem and she wasn’t going to help us out. There were no other hotels available and we ended up sleeping in our car.
- Barbra (6/5): not good - there was bed bugs, and they had only left 1 towel for 2 people. Plus had to call them to check in, not at the desk after 3 in the afternoon. Doubt if would stay there again
- Michael (6/5): Strange - Off the beaten path and quiet. Building is a repurposed hospital or nursing home with very little updating to cover up the fact. They were out of key cards so we was given an actual key which took about 5 minutes to unlock the door. Had 2 rooms and both were very tricky to get into. Felt like a nurse should pop in at any moment. But it did the job and was CHEAP.
- Melissa (4/5): Yikes - Looked like a halfway house. There were no rooms left in the main building (an old hospital) and so we had to go to the back building, which was literally a metal garage made into apartments. The room didn’t look anything like the general oyo pictures on the website. There were no windows, the cable box was broken, and the heat was busted so it was FREEZING in our room. We had to steal a tiny space heater from the laundry room next door that was keeping the pipes warm I guess. Also, no towels provided to shower with.
- DeAnna (10/5): - Pleasant and helpful staff.
- Douglas (8/5): - It was a very interesting location. I thought I had gone on a goose-chase until my GPS led me to it - it was way off the beaten path. However, it was a very nice room for a great price. The girl at the front desk was wonderful. I plan on staying there again next weekend. I would recommend it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bed Bugs - The room had bed bugs that where very obvious. I left immediately and when I reached out to hotels.com they contacted the hotel. The hotel would not issue a refund. This is the second time I have tried posting this review. The first time hotels.com said it violated their policy because it included:
• Specific prices
• Personal insults or profanity
• Any personal details
• Commercial website addresses or phone numbers
It most certainly did not violate any of those.
Ironically after I tried posting it the first time the hotel said a refund would be issued.
- Verified traveler (2/5): NO GO - Awful. Left within 15 minutes of checking in. Three rooms for a business trip and having to fight to get a refund. Dirty, creepy; you could not pay me to stay there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The hotel was filthy and just gross and smelled of cigarettes really bad just not clean or anything I complained and got no refund we even left because it was just so gross.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I didn’t stay at this dump after the cops came blazing up on my family as we arrived. The cops ended up right in front of the door to the room.
Walked back up front and left. The clerk said to leave the key on the desk because she had already walked away from the desk. She said she didn’t blame us for wanting to leave. So I want my money back ASAP!
- Jodi (2/5): Crappiest place ever booked - After a 12 hour drive to arrive here looked like something out of a B horror film. Even though i phoned to tell them i would be arriving at midnight. Place was locked up tight. No one would answer the bell. Even worse its litterally in the middle of no where. Called Oyo thru the hotels.com and they just said sorry about your luck. Im with an 81 year old woman and a 5 year old thanks so much for being concerned for our safety. This place looked like a halfway house. Pictures i looked at were so far from the truth. All this while trying to get to my family who had just lost my sister. The extra burden of trying to find lodging close to her funeral location at 1am was the worst. Not to mention the phone number on their sign is disconnected. I thought hotels.com had standards but apparently not ao much
- Tyana (8/5): Had a great stay - We had a great stay. There 4 of us on our stay my husband and me and 2 of our girls. Great prices and loved that they are repurposing the building. It was quite and quaint, and I loved the decorations. The beds were very comfortable and we had 2 bedroom in our room, 1 bathroom and a kitchen. The kids had their own room and we did too. The kitchen and rooms parts of the rooms were not fixed up and looked like they were still working on them and they will look great when they get it finished. We loved the park and will come back to stay in later trips.
There are a few things that were kind of irritating like the fan in out room would not work. The TV volume was set low or something so we couldn't hear it well when the air conditioner was on. The air conditioner was right next to it. Also there were bars on the head and foot parts of the bed that was missing, so if you leaned on the foot of the bed the frame would turn and you had to stand it back up. It would have looked better if the room didn't have the broken bed peaces. It made the room look cheap.
The service was great and we will go back. Can't wait to see what they do with the place!
- Nathan (10/5): Off the beaten path. - Unique property converted from a small, rural hospital. Funky collection of antiques in common areas were amusing to look at. Room was clean and comfortable. Probably not for everyone, but we would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place not too far from Tulsa - Had a good experience at the hotel. After leaving an item, it was sent back to me through the mail, so that is greatly appreciated. It was a good place to stay for a night that’s close to Tulsa.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Didnt know it was an old hospital.pretty cool place to stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No one was in the office, we never were not able to check in. We request our payment back.Had to go to another motel for the night. Called OYO several times, no response.
- Mellena (2/5): STAY AWAY!! THIS IS A SCARY PLACE! - Desk gave us the key to the WRONG ROOM. We walked in on a lady in bed asleep and she STARTED SCREAMING!! They were supposed to be holding that room for us, but obviously they did NOT! The room they finally gave us (which was the last one in the "hotel" had a bed FULL of dog hair, a toilet that had been used BUT NOT FLUSHED, and the TV had been left on as if someone had been watching it (remote was still on the bed). We got the impression that it was a converted home for senior citizens due to the hospital looking hallways, shower that was IN THE BEDROOM, and everything being located on the first floor. It is in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, and has NO modern conveniences.
- Nicholas (2/5): What the? - Place used to be a hospital. I’d say renovated, but renovation was never finished. Value is definitely there, but the town is dying and this place is just so strange it’s not worth it, and from what I could tell, never will be.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Property was an antique, but, usable.
- Mark (6/5): OK - The room was clean, it was just a bit odd as this is an old hospital. One cable box was missing. The shower was difficult to attain hot water.
- Nancy (8/5): Good for what we needed - It was a well located property for what we needed. The bed was very comfortable. Our room had a refrigerator along with a stove/oven. The place did look like it might have been a retirement home in a previous life.
- Douglas A (8/5): Oyo Hotel Drumright, OK - Good clean room for an affordable price. Let them know heat was not working and they swapped out the hvac unit.
- Jacob (2/5): Horrible excuse for a hotel/motel - Room was not prepared for any guest. Layout and facilities of room were closer to a barracks or jail cell than an actual room. Room heater did not work. Room temperature remained at +35•F. Also there was not hot water in room. Slept in vehicle which was more comfortable than hotel room.
- Yves_Jodogne (4/5): Odd place, service, has seen better times - This hotel is interesting for its kitschy look and antique trinkets. That's about it.
This place appears understaffed. It took a half hour to get registered. The rooms are old in appearance, functionality and musky. Walls are paper thin and I laid awake half the night because of the loud tv next door. Many of their customers are weekly and monthly renters. Odd characters wander about! Because of good ratings I drove an extra half hour to get here. I wasted my time!
- bbh56260 (8/5): close to event i was attending - I only needed a place to sleep for two nights and this was only 4 miles from event. Basic room was 62.50 with tax, room 107 Basic with two beds, coffee maker, micro wave and fridge. Small room for commoder, in room vanity, and separate shower. room was clean with two sets of towels, heat was welcome for cold rainy weekend. Very ecclectic, pleasant front desk person.. This hotel is nothing fancy but it was clean and filled myneeds very well. If you are travelling with kids there is a small park and play ground next door.
- T9523RKjamesp (10/5): Excellent motel! Could not have asked for better! - Excellent motel for the price. This place had a monster sized bed, full sized sofa, table for eight, full sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and more. The owner was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Will be back soon.
- hckrychick (8/5): Off the Beaten Path - We are doing Route 66 and needed a place close to Stroud for the night. Opted for a side trip to Drumright after reading reviews of surrounding areas and ended up here. It is a delightful little inn (converted hospital).
The manager Pat showed us around and let us select our room. We stayed in the "operating room".
Very large room, comfortable king bed, kitchenette, large sofa and dining table, tv, and free laundry access.
The bathroom is small with a stall shower.
The inn has free wi-fi but it doesnt work in this room, probably due to such thick walls.
Overall, it is not a 5 star, but for the price and comfort, you cant beat it.
- LisaT882 (10/5): Second choice was best choice Drumright Inn - Not sure when we pulled up; two different buildings, apparently one of them used to be a hospital, now converted to hotel rooms. The manager who lives on site was an absolutely marvelous hostess, showing us different rooms to choose from up-and-down a long corridor. She made certain we had towels and helped us plug items in and turn things on. The owner apparently owns an antique store and has quite a few pictures & furniture there on site. A/C, coffee maker, fridge, microwave in rooms. There is also a large kitchen that one can use as well. My husband and I even played a game of pool next to the jukebox near the lobby before we heated up our dinner. Cable tv. Pet friendly really, no extra charge. Very reasonable rate including taxes $62.00. Daily weekly and monthly rentals. We would've loved to stay there longer. There is a park and children's area with a covered large picnic table next-door. The only negative is having to get off Rte 44 on to Rte 99, which loops back to 44 towards Tulsa.
- monican449 (10/5): Great Place to get off the Beaten Path!!! - If you are tired of the ""cookie cutter"" hotels, then this is the place for you. It is a converted hospital. The staff was super friendly. The room was immaculate clean. Beds comfortable. Is it your ""normal"" interstate hotel?? Nope...it's not. But darn worth the drive to Drumright. The folks that live on the property make you feel like you are at home. Drumright is an old town and well worth the time to explore.
- 955mistyd (10/5): excellent stay - when we walked in we walked in to a very clean building. the service was excellent and staff was very friendly. our room was very neat and clean. free wifi and free parking available. we are definately coming back.
- Mindz82 (8/5): Home away from home - We were so skeptical about this place at first. Once we got there all concerns vanished. We stayed on two separate occasions. The first time we had a king room with an oven and stove. The room was ok on size and had a nice sized bathroom but the shower was very very small. The rooms were super clean. Free onsite laundry for guests which is always a plus. The second time around we got the king (suite? ) . It was huge, king bed, 2 couches, full size fridge and oven/stove, and 6 seater kitchen tAble. The bathroom was also huge for a motel with full size bath/shower, and it's own washer and drier in the room. Honestly this room was the size of a smaller apartment. Super clean, and the manager deana was just always amazing and helpful. Working on the road you always love to come across places like this!
- kg2495 (6/5): Clean. - The room was clean. It was basic. The beds were okay, but borderline hard. Breakfast is not provided. The tvs are nineties style. It is one of only two motels in Drumright, so I guess in this aspect it is serviceable. It's an economy motel, so it is what it is.
- 878JulieB878 (10/5): Great for workers - My husband is in the area for a construction project, and is THRILLED with his lodging at the Drumright Inn. The staff was very friendly when I spoke with them and promised to take good care of him for me. He will be away for a couple months, so having a full kitchen is a huge bonus.
