I requested mine was cleaned after 3 days but it was never done during the 6 days I was there. Other guests just got frustrated and piled their rubbish outside their room in the corridor for over 4 days.

After paying and getting to the room it was too small for my children to sleep in the bed and they refused to refund my money. I spoke with the manager and he acknowledged his rep/co worker lied and still he refused to cancel. They kept my money and my children and I had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. They ruined day one of my vacation and robbed my $500 USD
• Danielle (10/5): - Very friendly, professional, and accomodating staff. I stayed in a single-bed room (as a solo traveler) for 5 nights. Worked for me as I was out exploring the area most of the time. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to parks and shopping malls. It's also about 15 minutes from Meongdong, which I didn't know upon booking the room. Meongdong is a fun touristy place to walk around and try street food. The single rooms in the hotel are quite compact, so if you are planning to travel with others and/or be inside for lengthy periods, perhaps opt for a larger space. Still, I was very comfortable--bed, bathroom, shower etc. all was well-kept and clean. I also paid for breakfast each morning at a very reasonable price. They offer buffet style with many options. I am vegetarian and was able to get my fill of eggs, fruit...and coffee. I will plan to stay here again when back in the area. Many thanks.
• Natasha (8/5): - My stay was very good! There were a couple of malls nearby that were about a ten minute walk away. There is also a convenience store right next door. The staff was very nice during my check-in and even helped with my bags when going up to my room.
• Mijin (6/5): - I stayed at this hotel mainly because of its convenient location — being within walking distance to Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, and Cheonggyecheon. In that regard, the location is excellent. However, the experience overall was disappointing. The hallways had no ventilation at all, so the air was stale and the temperature was uncomfortably hot. The room itself was extremely small. While the air conditioning worked, it was too strong — it actually felt cold, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. There was a laundry room, which was convenient, but for a hotel with over 240 rooms, having only one washer and one dryer was simply not enough. It felt like there was no real consideration for guests’ needs. When I entered my room, I found leftover makeup stains from the previous guest and dirt at the bottom of the trash bin. It was clear that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. On top of that, the drain near the laundry area smelled terrible, likely because it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. I stayed here for two nights as a way to slightly cut down on costs during my month-long trip in Europe. But looking back, I wouldn’t stay here again. Even at a similar level, I’d say Toyoko Inn offers a much better experience in terms of cleanliness and guest care. If the ventilation and cleanliness were improved, this hotel could be a good choice given its location. But as it stands, I can’t recommend it if you value space and cleanliness, this may not be the right choice

• Evan (8/5): - Overall I had a good stay. For the price, it was a great choice. I think they can improve on keeping the rooms a bit cleaner. My room was dusty on the desk and there was hair on my bed. There were a lot of marks on the wall which made the room look dirtier than it actually was. Also it looked like there was a lobby bar/cafe on Expedia’s pictures, but it was closed the whole time I was there. I may have considered other hotel options if I had known that. The best part by far is the rooftop terrace with great views that is open 24 hours. A great place to bring a group of friends or sit by yourself, have a drink and enjoy city and mountain views of Seoul. The staff were also friendly. In general, a good option if you’re traveling on a budget, but if you have a little extra to spend, you may want to consider other options in Dongdaemun area, especially if offer similar rooftop views.

Room is quite small literally fits a queen bed with probably 5 inch space between the wall and the bed. Bathroom is spacious enough to shower comfortably. It’s not an ideal size but at least you get to move around comfortably.

There’s only one washing machine for the whole hotel, so we had to use the coin laundry down the road. The gym is very small. We were given a room in which the whole walls had glow in the dark stars all over them, this made it impossible to sleep. The toilet/shower in the room are in a glass cube, with zero privacy. Pretty strange

Travelodge Dongdaemun is a 5-10 minute walk from the heart of Dongdaemun and a 10-minute walk to Gwangjang Market. If you take transit, it’s a few bus stops or few subway stations away from Myeongdong. Airport limousine bus 6001 has a stop across the street at Baiton Hotel. The staff here are very helpful. The queen room I was assigned to has lots of wear and tear and the glass panel adjacent to the sink wasn’t clean. The room would feel tight for 2 people. There is a Wow Pass machine in the lobby and luggage scale. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay here.

Arrived late and mostly just used the room to sleep and shower which it did its job. A little overpriced for a one night stay for a small room in my opinion.

We were greeted by a memeber in the middle of the night arrival who was particularly rude, unhelpful and couldnt even confirmed whether we were at the right hotel or not. He was yelling at us to pay foe the taxi, which we intend to, had we known we are at thw right place. The rooms are extremely dirty and unhealthy.
• Minh-Tam (10/5): - I like the location of this hotel, which is very close to the area's two public markets where there are many options for street food. Very close to subway stations and a major shopping area (Dongdaemun Design Plaza)., with lots of restaurants. Room small but clean. The only down point is the room does not have good noise insulation so we can even hear people next to us coughing. Staff are good in English and quite friendly and polite.

The area of Seoul it is located is close to 3 coffee shops , a cultural park , the subway station ,shopping malls, and dinning options all with in a 5 to 15 min distance via walking . The subway station is literally located outside the doors of the hotel . Down stairs from the hotel is a conscience store with several basic goods and 5-10 min down the street there are several coffee shops. A Starbucks being one of them. The staff were very helpful and patient to help me navigate the city . The laundry was easy to do and cost 3000$ Won. There are also 3 money exchange locations with in walking distance .

The breakfast offer was delicious and fullfilling, and the staff was helpful. The staff at the registration desk was always helpful with directions, getting transportation, and providing solutions for unplanned issues. This hotel is very economically worthwhile.
• Verified traveler (6/5): No space, but it is clean - Stated had ocean view, but very obscured and window wasn't clean so you couldn't see out anyway. Room was older and needed some updating. Furniture was clearly a little older. Carpet had multiple small stains, but cream color. Beds were good size and comfortable. Room was clean and a good size. Plenty of natural light, but bathroom lighting wasn't very bright. Pool was very nice and heated. It had a nice view and it was heated. I believe you had to borrow a towel. There was a small restaurant on the rooftop. There were three heated igloos you could either rent for 20,000 for an hour or it was free to use if you ordered food up to 30,000. Food was a bit above average price, no appetizers, a few cocktails and 1 vegetarian option. However, the food was good and had a good presentation. Hotel was a bit away from the downtown area and buses were confusing and slow. Pros: Near ocean, nice rooftop area with enclosed igloo to rent/use nice pool area, clean and good size room Cons: Older room- older appearing furniture, can see some wear and tear, some small stains on carpet, further away from city and no easy public transportation 8/10
• Yeonhee (8/5): - Fantastic location. Very small room but adequate. Good facilities and excellent services. Breakfast buffet(need to pay ₩9,900) helped to start the day. Gym was small, and laundromat had only a pair of washer/dryer. Air conditioning worked well, and bed was comfy.

Bed was comfortable. -traveling with a large suit case, no were to place it beside the floor but can not fully slide under the bed. - Couldn’t walk around the bed the way it was positioned in the room. breakfast was good as long as you showed up within the first hour. After that you were lucky to get stuff. But, worth showing up early for.

• Naoko (8/5): - The air conditioning was broken in the first room and we were a bit cold for the first night, but the staff was very kind and quick with changing rooms for us. The area is very convenient in going around Seoul.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Never again - Disappointing experience. The room was dusty, the carpet was full of stains. Not enough room to even hang the clothes as my coat was brushing against the teapot. Breakfast was really sad. Just to give you an idea of the class of this establishment - the sugar for coffee in the breakfast area was in a glass jar from strawberry jam. Pros: close to the center, a small grocery store and fruit stall are right there.
• JUNE (6/5): Carpet needs replacing - Check in was quick and hassle free. Excellent WiFi and great location. The carpet in the room was extremely stained. We had two single beds and they were really small, however slept well.

Call the lobby to tell that the room are dirty and they said that the house keeping is not working until tomorrow. Also they mention about “if you need your room clean, please call them ahead”. • Scott (8/5): - We stayed five nights in this hotel in a 'superior room', which is essence, was clean and tidy but somewhat on the very small size; tiny in fact; a bathroom and a bed with not much space between. However, one needs to consider that Dongdaemun is a big tourist area. The staff were very facilitative and overall, we enjoyed out stay.

• MOHAMMED (10/5): - Tucked away between the busy streets of Dongdaemun and Myongdeong, this foreigner friendly hotel sits in the wholesale home building supply district and dried fish market. It’s still very quiet and the hotel rooms have the bare necessities— tv, mini fridge, shower, tea kettle and desk. Subway is 2 block walk and bus stop is 2 block walk. Cafes and restaurants near by.

• Oscar (10/5): Good Hotel and great for your money - Hotel was great and was close to the DPP and metro station. breakfast was basic but good and affordable. the only issue i had was that the room would only get hot. i wasn't able to turn on the AC cool option. i fixed the issue by just turning off the heater and keep the room at what every temp it would stay at. i would stay at this hotel again especially since it was next to a GS25.

The beds are comfortable but our room had stained carpet that needed to be replaced. I purchaesd the breakfast package and the food was cold everyday. This hotel was a hit or miss.
