- Patrick (7/5): - Goeie locatie netheid kamer, tafel was niet goed gekuist. Alles kleefde vast aan de tafel an zodra je er iets opzette. Hebben tafel dan maar zelf afgewassen.
- Bunsong (8/5): -
- Stephanie (6/5): Tidy but not as described - Location is just outside the main part of Paihia, but right next to a grocery shop and petrol station.
The room size was fine, with a bed, table and chairs and the bathroom was also a good size. There was also a pool and ample parking free of charge.
There is also a laundry ($4 per washer/dryer) which is handy when travelling. The listing said it came with a microwave, which wasn’t correct. They also say reception is staffed 9-430 daily, also not correct (I tried on 2 occasions, both within hours, but both times the door was locked).
The spa bath was broken as well, unclear for how long this has been the case.
Also, there is a step in the bathroom that is not clearly marked as a hazard. The bed also was quite uncomfortable.
- Stefanie Kim (8/5): Relaxing and enjoyable, lovely pool area - Although Te Tiriti is a bit further from the main shops and restaurants in Paihia I like the location better. It is closer to the nicer end of the beach for swimming and right next door to Woolworths. It only takes 10 mins to walk to the main part of Paihia. The pool was the standout feature for my family, the kids spent hours in there ! There’s heaps of parking and the rooms were spacious, well furnished,
Comfortable and clean I couldn’t really fault our stay but perhaps one thing that might be a downside for some would be that there wasn’t great coffee, but I think that’s a reflection of the price paid for the room and with Woolworths next door it’s easy to pop over there for
Supplies if needed
- Stewart (4/5): I was disappointed. - It was clean. The fact that in four days I had no interaction with any member of staff, despite signs saying that Reception would be open, it wasn’t. There was a lot of literature saying what we mustn’t do, but very little to help with the stay (it didn’t even mention the pool). Noise from the main road.

- Marcelo (7/5): Good stay on Paihia with the BBQ letdown - Is a good location, with Woolworths next door, and close to Waitangi grounds. Beds are comfy, TV with stream services. It was too cold for the swimming pool. Kitchen facilities are ok. Nicely close to the forest, so lots of wild life nearby. A letdown: In Booking they mention BBQ facilities, even they show one in the webpage. We arrived ready for the BBQ, but we didn't find it. I sent a message asking for that, and the reply was "apologies, but another guest damaged it and we are not planning to put it back". Fair enough, but on that case take it off from Booking and from your webpage.

- Justine (7/5): Ok - Lovely 2 bdrm unit, spacious, good amenities. Handy being next door to Countdown. Nice quiet location. Although the unit looked clean, there was an unpleasant odour - smelt like a public toilet.
Nice big swimming pool but could have done with a clean to remove surface debris. Didn't see any office staff while there but communication good via text for check in and check out instructions.
- Lynne (7/5): It was a good budget motel! - It’s was lovely and clean in the unit and value for money. The pool was not clean, and there were duck in it. The spa bath not working. Couldn’t get normal tv.
- Jiyeoun (10/5): - It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed, so we were able to stay very comfortably.
- Richard (2/5): Definitely not a four-star motel - Comfortable bed This is not a four-star motel. It's two-star at best. It's a 1970s or 1980s motel which has had minimal updating since then. The front office was closed when we arrived at 2.30pm. We had to make a call to be told our room number. To get to it meant going to the end of the building, through the pool gate, alongside the pool, and up a set of stairs, all while carrying suitcases in the pouring rain. Rooms are small and dated. In our first room was a small shower box, a kitchen shelf with kettle, but the only sink was the tiny one in the bathroom. Only one bedside table. On the second night we had to change rooms because water entered during the heavy rain, soaking the carpet and curtain. The next room was also small, with a spa bath that didn't work (there was a sign saying so). When we checked out again there was nobody in the office, just a drop box for the key. I asked on the phone why the office was unmanned, and was told they were working out of a caravan park elsewhere, and were short staffed. That was a poor excuse for supposed four-star customer service, and the rooms were similarly lacking. I do not recommend this motel.
- Heather (4/5): - Not much. Run down, musty smelling. No staff anywhere. Ducks thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool though.
- Stuart (10/5): Most enjoyable - Quiet and private Difficult to get change for the laundry these days
- Clare (9/5): - Really helpful staff, accommodating a late check-in and had our room lit waiting for us.

- Fleur (8/5): -
- Francisco Javier (9/5): Muy agradable.
- Cheryl (8/5): -
- Suzanne (10/5): -
- Guest (7/5): It was a great location being next to the supermarket & walking distance to the conference venue - The Spa bath was not working and i was really looking forward to relaxing
- Mikayla (10/5): -
- Maury (8/5): Nice accommodation for small budgets; would come again. - Pool was beautiful, but too cold to go in at that time. Room was well furnished; loved the leather sofa and easy chair, nice dining table/chairs, good bedrooms, linens, towels. Reasonable decor. The kitchenette was well furnished. WIFI worked well, but did have to be signed in daily. Not a lot of power outlets available, but we managed. Staffing, at least at that time of year (winter), is not very available. During "open office hours" there were no staff when we checked a few times. Calling a number posted in the room did eventually get a staff person, and we received what was needed by a door delivery. The room was pretty 'ready' when we arrived, though. Just don't count on on-demand service in the off-season. Body Wash provided does not come off easily (as is common for many brands), probably due to conditioners, so it requires a long stay in the shower to feel rinsed (not water-efficient). Would suggest regular bar soap, which rinses much better (Shampoo was fine).
- Patricia (10/5): Manager was amazing - Clean and comfortable Nothing
- Colin (6/5): Great staff, thank you.But everything else let the place down, We wont go back. - The staff were very helpful but the room was a bit jaded, the bed was comfortable but there was no WIFI or television for the two days we stayed there. My wife and I have a double room right next to the road so it was noisy if the window was open.
Not somewhere I would visit again Everything could have been improved, I was very disappointed as the placed looked very attractive from the photographs. They need to up their game.

- Guest (5/5): It was ok but wouldn't stay again. - The room was adequate, the bed was comfortable, there was a dark coloured makeup washer which was nice to have. There was a microwave and toaster so we could prepare meals. The pool was a good size but as it's winter it wasn't clean. A fixed shower was over the bath and that was difficult for older people also the shower curtain wasn't waterproof so water leaked over the entire floor.
Towels weren't changed unless we requested it in the 4 days we were there.
The office was never open so couldn't speak to the owners.
Woolworths was next door and noisy in the early morning unloading the trucks.
- Jane (10/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): Was a great place to stay and very reasonable in price. Lovely walk into town down the foreshore . - Good value
Walking distance to everywhere, Woolworths next door , quiet. No bed side tables in main bedroom. Barely enough crockery. No sharp knifes or a can opener that worked.
- Peter (7/5): Close to supermarket, fuel station and easy walk to main restaurant, shopping precinct. -
- Denis (8/5): Had Enjoyable time - Parking was good,
Quiet’
Decent size
Spotless
Very comfortable bed
Woolworths nearby,
Short walk to beach’s Nothing really
- Arie (9/5): -
- Jade (8/5): - The staff are very welcoming and the rooms are perfect sizes. The high ceiling is a.great touch.
- Anthony (9/5): -
- Anne Qi (9/5): A gem close to the waterfront - It was comfortable, clean and has a pool that makes you feel like you could be on an island resort! Perfect for a group of friends or a family. About a 15 minute walk to the main part of town. Would be nice if the pool was heated for winter, but really no complaints!
- Rick (7/5): - Good value for money
- Sopo (10/5): - Clean room and awesome manager welcoming and making me feel warm. I wanted to stay longer. Although a view for me was needed! 🙏 I'll def come back!!! The noisy road. Only cos of my circumstances I needed to get away from Auckland noise!
- Tracey (10/5): -
- Hao (8/5): -
- Guest (6/5): - Appreciated that guests are encouraged to consider water consumption and over-use of laundering. traffic sounds from the road were loud, and activities in other units could be easily heard. There is room for improvement in cleanlisness (windows need a good wipe down to take mould off and spider webs could be removed).
- Sumit (10/5): Overall best experience. -
- Catherine (9/5): - Size of unit, curtains were lovely. The location was a little further away from the main area.
- Carol (10/5): - Lovely place to stay, really nice staff
- Paul (9/5): - Great location handy to all 👍
- Lynette (10/5): -
- Leevi (10/5): -
- Peter (9/5): Nice motel at great location. - Spacious and fairly well appointed. Was too cold for a swim but the pool looked great.
Love the air dryers!
- Pamela (7/5): Clean and roomy - Clean and big
- Guest (10/5): First time we came there my kids came from fiji they liked it - Very nice clean and tidy nice view kitchen Storage was nice warm enough bedroom nice Everything is fine and good environment
- Doug (9/5): Great Property and Location. Pristine condition and Fab service. - While we expected one of the units overlooking the pool there was no issue with Unit 9. The important point was that we had a ground floor. Spotlessly clean and great service although the TV was a bit tricky for a while. Over the years we have stayed at this establishment a number of times and have never been disappointed. Our one night stay, on this occasion, was further enhanced by receiving a real nice freshly caught snapper from a couple of other guests. Certainly we will be back. Many thanks. Nga Mihi As mentioned all good. No complaints. The only negative was the atrocious waether during our stay which was obviously out of your control.
- Shaunice (9/5): -
- Irene (10/5): - Great communication from the owners who were very accommodating to our large group. They really went over and above to ensure we were comfortable and well catered to. If I could give a higher rating I would
- Halkyard-Harawira (10/5): Great hospitality to any needs that cropped up. - Manager was very amenable to our requests for anything. I should have booked earlier to get an extra room.
- Guest (8/5): -
- Hine (8/5): -
- Guest (10/5): Great area, a lot of food choices, lots to see and wonderful Staff - The pool looked inviting and clean but it was to cold.
The room was spotless and just the right size for the 2 of us!
The bed was very comfortable can't fault the place or the Staff
- elgene panela (10/5): -
- Wi Sam (7/5): -
- Paulene (8/5): - Very clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed. Good basic room.
- Shampa (9/5): - The location was great. The room was clean , big enough. There was no wardrobe or a place to keep our clothes .
- Shampa (9/5): A nice place to stay when you are in Pahia . - The location was great. Caltex in front , Woolworth just beside the hotel . 200m to the beach ..1km from Waitangi treaty grounds, 3km from Haruru falls and 1.5km to Pahia city centre.
The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfy. No wardrobe or any place to keep our clothes
- Reiner (8/5): -
- Wayne Facer (8/5): -
- Linda (10/5): A perfect location to enjoy a fabulous weekend with family. - The beds were very comfortable, the rooms spacious and well equipped, along with a great location.
Our rooms were located next to each other and there was plenty of parking for our group.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, which made our stay even better.
Thank you so much

- Ambs-Jade (8/5): -
- Lyndon (10/5): Just right stay! - Location next to Woolworth's Pool not heated
- Angel (8/5): Good price with good stay . - Location so close to the local restaurant and supermarket Nothing
- Eva Aroha (10/5): Enjoyed the comforts of home here, I’ll be back !! - Ground floor no stairs due to my healing ankle injury.
Was clean and very comfortable bed. The kitchenette was ideal and had everything available. Loved the personal touches with the hand wash, 2n1 shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Weather was windy, wet & cold but the heat pump made the room cosy & warm. My visit was exceptional with friendly, accommodating staff member, she was great, nice Maori wahine, also Woolworths & gas station next door. I recommend totally and will stay again. One of the best motels I’ve stayed in Aotearoa. First motel stay in Paihia, hands up Te Tiriti Motel, thank you !! Loved everything, location, comfort. Had a brilliant stay.
- Allice (10/5): - It was clean
- Glenn (8/5): -
- Chantel (9/5): Great spot, clean & had lovely staff - Location was great, loads of car parking space, clean with lovely staff. Great to have a heat pump as it was cold! Nothing
- Godfrey (10/5): - The lovely comfy room The washing machine is broken down in the laundry and a broken ironing board
- Tash (10/5): Awesome stay highly recommend to everyone 😊 - Everything is perfect
The staff have been really helpful and welcoming
Plus the location price and comfort here has been the best, I’ll definitely be returning here every time I come home Not anything to dislike
- Patricia (8/5): Love this place - Location: 10/10
Close to everything. Supermarket next door. Beach a 2min walk away. Easy to find!
Comfortable sized rooms for our family to spread out.
Reasonably priced for what you get. Totally recommend. Have decided when we go north, this will be where we'll stay 😃 During winter season... if you need heavier blankets to sleep, definitely bring/buy one. The ones supplied are just a bit on the thin side for me 😄
- Tracey (8/5): - Nice area Nothing to cook with
- Lance (9/5): -
- Jared (7/5): - Quiet and roomy Nothing
- Lessa (10/5): - Overall great place to stay for the weekend. Nothing
