Guest Reviews
- Barbara (10/5): - The staff were so helpful! Restaurant & breakfasts were very good. Pool area in villa is a nice touch. Ambience was perfect. Very relaxed & a quiet reprieve from the craziness of Canguu.
- Ebony (10/5): - Lovely accommodation with private pool.
- Angeline (8/5): - The pool area was very pleasant, the rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly.
- Aisha (10/5): - The staff were very nice it was a quiet location
- Catherine (10/5): - Customer service was great from airport shuttle, cleanliness of room and friendly staff.
- Naiane (10/5): - Love this hotel. It was the most pricey from my trip but at the end of the trip, I just wanted a place to rest and it was quiet close to the beaches. Very confortable and large rooms and bathrooms.
Great breakfast, I enjoyed the pool both days I was there and had a massage on my last morning before leaving to the airport.
I paid around 12k IDR to get a bike ride to the beaches close by, 160k for a grab taxi to the airport, and onky 25k grab bike to Seminiak (40 minutes ride).
Definetely recomended it!
- Makenna (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay here very much! The property was a little hidden away which was perfect for some peace and quiet and we felt safe. There were many restaurants nearby in walkable distance and it is only a 20 minute walk to Canggu beach. The room and private pool was amazing and very clean! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We were able to rent a bike from the hotel which was very convenient and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, dinner and the spa services.
- Angeline (10/5): - The pool area was quiet and beautiful away from the bustle of the Canggu streets. A great place to relax. The staff were very friendly, helpful and quick to correct any problems. We enjoyed our stay!
- charlotte (10/5): - loved it!! thanks so much 😊
- Allie (6/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had toilet issues, broken shower handle and issues with the main door which was not great. Could also hear other people in rooms and the hallway at all hours… guests were smoking cigarettes that filled our room with smoke smell during night/day as well. Could use improvements but a decently nice property
- Luke (8/5): - It was a beautiful property, with a couple of small maintenance issues it would be amazing. Service issues are more of a personal issue. The front desk staff were friendly attentive to basic needs.
- Troy (10/5): - Great friendly quiet place to stay
- Luca (8/5): - Villas are nice and very private. The structure, in global, requires a little bitt a better maintenance (bathroom was really old and some things were not working, the entrance door totally broken, etc) but in complex good and affordable. Nice area with a lot of different option for food and not far from the sea.
- Danielle (4/5): - Toilet was dirty and looked like it needed replacing. Sheets and towels had stains on them. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
- Kim (10/5): - The staff was friendly, the room was clean and it was a relaxing place to do some remote work from.
- Andrew (8/5): - I stayed in a room with a balcony and nice views. The walls are a bit this so I was kept awake one night by loud neighbours. The breakfast was decent although tea and coffee options are basic. Given the price, the rooms are good value. They also provide free bicycles which I used to ride to the beach. Otherwise its about 15min walk.
- Lucas (10/5): - The Bali Dream Villa Resort! What a fantastic choice. The Bali Dream Villa Resort offers a serene escape nestled in the heart of Bali's lush greenery.
From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The villas are spacious and equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.
The private pool in each villa adds a touch of luxury, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Bali's beautiful sights. The staff go above and beyond to cater to your needs, whether it's arranging transportation, recommending local attractions, or preparing delicious meals at the on-site restaurant.
Overall, The Bali Dream Villa Resort provides a tranquil oasis where you can truly relax and indulge in the beauty of Bali.
- John (10/5): Ahmazing! - We loved the hotel our villa was such a beautiful vibe and it was quick and easy to get around from the location
- David (10/5): - Great
- spencer (10/5): - Was an awesome Villa, I highly recommend.
- Urmila (8/5): - Friendely staff
- Saima (10/5): - Excellent Property. Very welcoming Staff
- Jayme (10/5): - Amazing time spent here
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Won’t be going back. The service is terrible. Restaurant is so slow with very limited options. Very difficult to get transport to anywhere. Staff are not helpful at all. Mosquitoes are really bad here as well.
- Lisa (2/5): - Won’t be going back. The service is terrible. Restaurant is so slow with very limited options. Very difficult to get transport to anywhere. Staff are not helpful at all. Mosquitoes are really bad here as well.
- Lisa (10/5): - Awesome area. At first I thought it was isolated but after a few minutes walking I found great places to eat and drink. Everyone was super friendly. The place is stunning!!
- Kristina (6/5): No Wifi & Very Dirty. Stay Elsewhere. - Wifi did not work most of the time, which is important during rainy season. The TVs were only hooked up to play from wifi enabled apps, which meant when it rained (everyday) we needed to leave the property.
Cleanliness was low. Cups provided many have never been cleaned. The floors and baseboards were covered in dust and webs. Spiders and ants everywhere in the room (including on the bed). Pillows smelled vulgar (need replaced). Curtains and bug nets all need a deep cleaning. White sheets and towels had stains. Toilet paper seemed to be scarce with housekeeping.
- Alex (6/5): - It was a passable experience. The rooms need a bit of soung up and the bed linens could be better
- cameron (8/5): - The place was good, there's a few bits like internet quality and the daily cleaning that could of been improved on but honestly we had a lovely time and couldn't complain too much.
- Lee (6/5): Decent stay - Lovely, but pool was under construction. This should have been mentioned in advance, as I’d have booked someplace else.
The location was great and staff were really nice, though.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place was perfect for us! Close to Echo Beach and wonderful staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel staff went above and beyond to meet our needs and nothing was never an issue
- Jackie (10/5): - A lovely place with a tropical forest feel. Good average-sized swimming pool and we were given an upgrade as a mother/daughter combo and they couldn’t supply twin beds (requested) so they put in a softish older bed next to the lovely King Bed with a sheet but no duvet. Drawback was only being able to check in after 3 when check out is at 12 and we were only staying one night. The hotel deserves more than 10 out of 10 for the breakfast - literally the best breakfast we had in Bali and I would suggest the best breakfast in Bali at an average-priced hotel: Eggs and pancakes cooked to order, lots of meat to choose from along with noodles, rice, potatoes etc.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Gorgeous villas and very quiet tucked away from the center of town.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful property😊
Staff were all lovely.
Get in early for breakfast.
- Carol (10/5): Peaceful oasis - This is the only place I stayed in Canggu where I got a decent nights sleep! It’s a bit further out from the centre, but it’s quiet at night which is amazing. Excellent service and breakfast. Taxis can take you into town for 50k or hire a scooter.
- Carli (8/5): Beautiful villas, ok location - I wish we had more time to stay there so I could really experience the villa, which was amazing. I wish the location was in walking distance of more shopping and restaurants as the traffic in Canggu is ridiculous and walking seems to be faster than driving. Overall, the resort itself was beautiful- the food at the restaurant was good and fresh, but took over an hour to get our food both times we ate from there. Overall, our experience for the short time we were there was very pleasant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is beautiful! The pool is amazing and they have scooters to rent that are very affordable. The staff is super nice and they are great at helping you find where you want to go if you don’t have a driver. The breakfast is amazing as well! There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We received an upgrade upon arriving. The property is very beautiful and clean. It is a good location - quiet, but close enough to the action. We were able to borrow bicycles for free to cycle around. We really loved this place and were sad to leave.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff is very helpful and very nice. Resort is little bit of the road, however this guarantees you peace and quite time. The hotel is very well equipped and villas are exceptional. Local money exchanger scammed me but the staff helped me to get my money back.
- Timothy (8/5): - Stayed here for part of our honeymoon, the staff was exceptional, and the breakfast buffet was great!.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We went when is was off session so the hotel was only 50% full which was great for us . The staff were very accommodating- beach shuttle was never an issue the walk back was a lovely 15 minutes . Breakfast was amazing - and then later we ate at local places ( many to choose from if you didn’t eat at the hotel .
- Verified traveler (2/5): The place and time there we rather forget. - A few mornings no water. A few times no electricity. Breakfast was not nice. Far from shops and beach. A terrible experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful but very isolated - The hotel is lovely and the breakfast is delicious.
But the hotel is completely isolated, no restaurants no shops no beach. The free shuttle only operates once a day to Canggu and the taxis can be very corrupt and try and rip you off, be careful and never pay more than 50k. Bluebird taxi does not operate in canggu anymore and the drivers don’t have a meter so you are really at their mercy, negotiate a price at the beginning and don’t be surprised if they are rather unfriendly.
The staff of the hotel were very friendly and the room was clean and had a nice balcony.
The food at breakfast has a great selection but the food for lunch and dinner is not very healthy but a good option if you don’t want to take a 30min Taxi into Town.
If only the location and food would be healthier then this would truly be our dream resort.
- Michelle (10/5): - What an amazing hotel loved it.
It’s outsude the city center which I like by the river.
They have everything you need here but will get you scooters, bikes etc if you need. Or plan a tour for you if any kind
- Karp (2/5): Quiet location - Would never stay there again or recommend it. The shower didn’t work , very little hot water even for Bali, bath tub was broken. Very expensive drinks and food when you could get them. After three attempts at ordering something from the menu, each time they never had what was on menu . Finally order a meal and it never arrived. We have stayed at lots of different places in our 11 visits to Bali and this is the worst. Guess had jewerlly stolen. Don’t go you will be sadly disappointed. We left a day earlier then we paid for.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Exceptionally friendly staff and beautiful villas - Stayed with 4 friends for 4 nights and had a wonderful time
- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved this villa would definately recommend - Loved everything about it! Great beds great privacy!
- Graz (10/5): A quick get away - Bali Dream Villas are a 10 min walk from the beach in a very peaceful part of Canggu.
Check in, check out and service were easy and hassle free.
The breakfast was more comprehensive than I expected and delicious.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very beautiful, private, quiet place. Not much entertainment, walk to the beach 10min where you can find more restaurants and shops. The breakfast options could be better. But in general really enjoyed staying there.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Lots of bugs, and takes forever to get anywhere - If you are looking to just lay by the pool or have your own private pool this is the place for you. My girlfriend and I stayed here and it said you were just a few miles from a lot of attractions but due to the heavy traffic in Bali it took almost an hour to get to most of the sites we wanted to see, also there were bugs all over our bathroom and bedroom, and the bed was as hard as a rock making it hard to sleep. I would recommend staying elsewhere. positive is the hotel is very reasonable with Cost, and their staff were friendly and the spa was nice
- Michael (10/5): Wonderful for a romantic break. - We upgraded to a beautiful villa with private pool on inspection of the standard room we had booked, which looked a little small and slightly depressing. It was well worth the extra money. The villa was perfect and the private pool a real treat even though the communal facilities were good. Staff were lovely and helpful. Only downside is the location is a bit isolated and the food a bit below expectations. Taxis are cheap but the beach is not really walkable.
- jools (8/5): - A lovely hotel tucked away from it all. Staff are wonderful and are more than happy to help. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Only minor detail shower is a little inconsistent with water flow.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Totally inadequate in today’s modern world. Bali has not kept pace with infrastructure when you arrive you are herded like sheep the reading is so bad and th best thing was when you left at the airport the departure was the best and most professional operation.
- Melissa (10/5): - Beautiful villa with private pool... staff was wonderful..
- Michael (2/5): Very poor value for money - Booked and prepaid for 5 nights, stayed 3 hours. Old, run down, dirty and very poor location. For the price paid we expected much much much better.
- Steven (8/5): A pleasant hotel with good facilities - The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a reasonable size and good value at the price point. Pool, spa and bar are in good condition and nice to use - an excellent manicure was had. The only disappointing bit would be the breakfast, good freshly made omelette though. Coffee is dreadful.
Above all else, the gardens are fabulous.
- Eden (8/5): Nice private villa with pool - The first villa on our stay here in Bali. 10/10 for me. The villa was amazing with a private pool & air conditioning! The room was cleaned daily. Only minor thing is the room service (food) could have been better. But I would definitely go back! Staff were very helpful & friendly. You can hire a bike with them as well :)
- Simon (10/5): great private villa - really great private villa. Bit far away from beach and town (more than a walk) but hotel arranged free shuttle
- Kaveh (6/5): Decent hotel, not a great value for the area - Overall, our stay at The Bali dream villa was all right, but not fantastic. The facility was clean and the staff were friendly as can be, but the location of the resort just was not what we were looking for. In addition to this, the walls were super thin, and we could hear our neighbors talking all night (though they did not even seem to be talking very loud). Our unit lost electricity twice, one time for almost a full day. The restaurant was decent, but one of the most overpriced on the island, and we have been here for almost a month. While I wouldn’t say it was bad, I do believe a much better value could be found somewhere else.
- Jessie (6/5): Overall Not Bad But Would Not Recommend - The hotel was ok. There was a strange smell coming from the hallway and a very bad smell coming from the shower in my room. The area was quiet and tranquil so that was a plus. I think that it overall it was priced too high for what it was. I wouldn't stay there again.
- Colleen (8/5): Quiet & away from hustle & bustle - We arrived very late at night (after the Baliku driver got us lost) & was greeted warmly by Wayan C, nothing was ever too much problem with any of the staff members. You usually asked once & whatever you asked for soon appeared. Lovely pool & meals area.
- Charmaine (6/5): Nice hotel - Nice comfortable room however had to keep asking for toilet paper, tissues, soap, etc wasn't automatically replaced. Room service menu variety was excellent but the breakfast buffet was very ordinary with the same food every day. Overall fair.
- Kerry (8/5): Peaceful but remote - The villa itself was ok and the pool was lovely
20 min walk to Echo Beach or 70,000 rupiah
Quite Remote area so if your looking for peace and quiet this is ideal
Breakfast is very average ok if you're a vegetarian food is cold , no teabags
Crockery and glasses in the room were not replaced daily we washed them ourselves !!!!
Room service food was ok
- Apoorv (8/5): hassle free comfortable stay - Me, wife and our 4-yr old stayed at a 1-bedroom villa for 5 nights at the bali
Dream villas canggu. We had selected this place because of kitchen facilities in the room and also because we wanted to stay in canggu this time. It's about an hour away from the airport but the moment you step inside, you know its worth it.
We loved our time here. The villa was clean and fit for purpose. My son loved the private pool in the villa. The kitchen doesnt have a big refrigerator nor a microwave but otherwise is adequate. The room and bathroom were nice and spacious. Wifi connection was strong.
Food options are not extensive but again, enough for the odd meal you might want to have in the villa. The food was tasty particularly local balinese options. Breakfast options are also good.
The staff were very attentive to our needs and also accommodated one or two odd requests we had. They can also quickly arrange a scooter or a car if you need. The hotel also has a common pool and spa but we never used those. We saw lots of others using them though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing Customer Service and Beautiful Hotel - The Bali Dream Villa Resort in Canggu was an amazing experience. The hotel was beautiful and the staff from reception, housekeeping and restaurant were all amazing!! The hotel is close to the beach however best way to get to places is with a scooter. The staff helped us in renting one. I would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great Pool Villa but Staff Training Lets it Down - Staff have not been trained well - General Manager needs to work on attention to details and train the staff to be focused on customer service better.
- Sallie (4/5): Big difference between hotel rooms and villas! - There are very big differences between the superior room, deluxe rooms and villas. Superior rooms are like a youth hostel with your own bathroom, or a very cheap airport hotel. They are very, very small, have no balcony, face the hot sun from midday onwards and very noisy. Paper thin walls. You can hear everyone walking in the corridor, the lift, people in next room etc. The view is of some kind of metal construction. I also had ants in my bed! I would NOT recommend staying in these.
The deluxe rooms are bigger, have a balcony, lovely views and quieter. But are still very dirty, grey and torn linen, cheap furniture like the stuff you get in the reject shop. No water pressure. I swapped to one after the 1st night, and it was much better, but I definitely wouldn't stay here again.
I had a look at the villas, and they looked amazing. Own pool, outdoor/indoor kitchen etc.
Pros of Resort:
- Comfortable bed
- Free bicycles were really fun to ride around in, best memories of riding through rice paddies at sunrise and sunset
- Pool was clean
- Free breakfast is basic, but ok
Cons:
- Long way from cafes, centre etc. 1hr walk, 25mins bicycle ride. Echo Beach is about 15 mins walk. I love walking, happy to walk 1 hr ,but keep in mind it's Bali and sweltering hot to move between hours 9-5
- Free shuttles to town barely run, if the driver is taking people to airport then it's not available, price of catching taxis to town and back adds up
Tip - Stay on Batu Bolong Rd!!
- Kylie (8/5): Nice motel - Booked 1 night and received an upgrade to the villa with a private pool. All lovely.
Stayed on 2 extra nights in a deluxe room, it was a lot cheaper to book this online than thru the reception desk.
A scooter is handy from this location as it is quite far from the beach.
- Verified traveler (8/5): tranquil resort - very friendly staff, clean, nice & varied breakfast options. the location of the hotel is very undeveloped, it's a cute traditional village, very little is within walking distance & everything is shut by 10pm which is perfect for a relaxing & quiet break but if you're looking for nightlife & 24hr minimarts this isn't the best hotel for you
- Henry (6/5): Great room, and bed very comfortable - very quiet location - a bit out of the way if you are looking for shopping
- Lin (8/5): - Lovely hotel. Staff very helpful. Was A long way out for us but good if you just want a relaxing holiday. Free Shuttle to Echo Beach and Canggu Club. We used it to go to Canggu Club then got taxi to Kuta/Legian. Taxi drivers had problems finding it most of the time but we took note of different landmarks so we knew which way to go.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Too far from beach. - The hotel is lovely although it is too hard to get to Canguu beach and shopping district (about a 45 minute walk). The hotel offers only 3 shuttles per day. Echo Beach is a 15 minute walk. The rooms are nice but the shower is dreadful. Only boiling hot or freezing cold. Don't bother about the spa service, massages expensive compared to local rates. Nice for a short stay to relax by the pool but hard work to get anywhere.
- Anna (8/5): 4th time to Bali, 1st time to Canggu - Location: Walking distance to Echo Beach although more of a surfers beach (black sand and quite dirty otherwise). I found more happening in terms of restaurants/bars in the area surrounding Finns Beach Club (1 hour walk) or Old Mans Restaurant (20min walk) so most of the time we would walk there or get a taxi back to the hotel as hotel location is not lit up walking back so felt safer catching local transport
Staff: Extremely helpful and would accommodate whatever our request was
Hotel Food: Only had breakfast in the hotel and was buffet style. Nothing fancy but sufficient - fruit, cereal, pastries, bread and a few hot items (bacon, sausages, asian noodles/vegetables) but they had a guy who would make you a omelette or eggs whichever way you preferred which was good.
Accommodation: We stayed in a Pool villa which was nice - beds not all that comfortable but very spacious. A lot of shade over our villa so couldn't lay there to tan so used the main pool if we wanted to get some sun
- Caron (8/5): Peaceful and lovely - Great relaxing hotel in very peaceful setting. Remote location and not close to shopping and restaurants but hotel has free shuttle bus. Lovely walk to beach. Rooms are lovely but shower water pressure was a problem. Helpful staff and would definitely recommend for the price
- Jill (6/5): out of town resort - not echo beach - we looked for a resort and that is what we got. but we wanted to be closer to the beach and town, and the website eluded to that. we were not happy about how far out of town we were. we had to ride bikes to get to the closest beach, and take a 10 minute shuttle to get to town. you could really improve on how many times the shuttle brings people to and from the resort.
- Charlotte (6/5): - Sadly we were let down by the staff on our trip and because of this we would not return. Our trip to Bali was short & had one day available for the Gilli Islands. We had booked 2 days in advance & told everything was confirmed. We checked a few times as wanted to make sure everything was okay, we were assured it was.
On the day we turned up to reception at 05:00am as requested to find no car was there, we waited 45 minutes with no information. After asking the man on reception, he had no idea whether the car had been booked and had no record of the trip at all. When we asked what to do we were told we couldn't book another car, as one was already on the way - even though he had just told us that there was no record of the booking. We went back and forth, with phone calls from the staff member who had apparently booked us in who had the nerve to tell us there would be a cancellation fee if we left the lobby. For a car that never turned up!!
After waiting 2 hours we gave up, as by then had missed the ferry. In the end it turns out the car had gone to the wrong hotel, so it wasn't technically the staffs fault but the way it was dealt with was not acceptable as we were giving no information and not even allowed to book our own taxi. To make it worse we asked again and again to speak to a supervisor or manager to discuss the incident. We were told he would be called and sent for, but this never happened.
- John (10/5): LAID BACK IN CANGGU - Great place to be lazy - especially if you do not surf.Very friendly staff.
Pool villas are spacious and very private.
- Natassia (8/5): Great hotel close to Echo Beach - Great rooms, clean and well equipped. Friendly and helpful staff. A stone's throw from the beach.
Food isn't fanstastic, i recommend going out to local warungs and restaurants instead
- Simon (10/5): relaxing! - lovely stay here, location a small distance from the sea but ideally you want to taxi or scooter. great staff, food, pool, comfort.
- George (10/5): Nice Villa - The Villa was reasonably priced and very comfortable.
- kenneth (8/5): Very private villa - Very pleasant. Secluded villas and considerably less ppl compared to a lot of places in Bali.
- Tiffany (8/5): Beautiful hotel and pool, close to the beach - Beautiful villa in Canggu near the beach and in the rice fields. Depending on traffic, it can take between 30 minutes to 90 minutes to get there from the airport by car. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us in many ways. They also offered set tours, as well as personalized tours that my friend and I will remember for a lifetime.
- Kristine (10/5): Piece of paradise - Hotel was better than expected. Only 15 mintute walk to the beach, yoga centres including Serenity, Desa Seni etc... Was welcomed with a fruit juice. Nice modern rooms with good free WIFI. I stayed in a standard room, but was up graded to deluxe-low season. Had nice terrace to look over the gardens. Breakfast was buffet-delicious!! Staff always very helpful. They allowed me to use the shower after I had checked out, because I had a late flight back home. Free 15 minute massage voucher and free shuttle bus to airport. Seminyak is only 15 minute drive if you hire a scooter $5 AUD/day. Take the short cut :) I'm definitely staying here again.
- Lozza (8/5): Great hotel, awesome location - Very relaxing after the busy week in Kuta. Friendly staff, always willing to help. Great shuttle service to Echo Beach. One of the best breakfast buffets I have had in Bali, plenty of variety and an egg station. Would definitely stay again.
- Jon L. (6/5): Overall disappointed with stay - The hotel itself is quite nice but it isn't in a very nice location and you feel quite isolated.
There were significant problems with the wi fi and they failed to pick us up at the airport as had been arranged.
Overall I was quite disappointed and could not recommend.
- ed (4/5): Tucked away but badly built and maintained. - Stayed in the standard /superior room in the main block. We were some of the only guests for a couple of nights
+ nice location tucked away short scoot ride to echo beach and shops. Nicely maintained grounds goodish pool.
- poorly maintained hotel. Water was intermittently disconnected over 3 days no toilet flush. When connected hot water cut in and out. The shower was filthy and stank horrendously. They have fans that run 24/7 in there you can't turn off to control the smell.
Good enough to stay at 50 aud per night. Standard rooms definitely aren't worth 100 a night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Tranquil Paradise - A very small little resort that is very quiet and tranquil, the staff are absolutely excellent that did everything to make our stay as comfortable as could be. We definitely recommend this accomodation
- Sarah (8/5): - Overall was a good experience. However, the air-condition is pretty weak.
- Verified traveler (8/5): EXCELLENT HOTEL, GOOD STAFF IT WAS A PLEASANT STAY - IT WAS AVERY PLEASANT STAY THE STAFF WAS VERY GOOD AND THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT
- Josefin (8/5): Hard to find, but really nice! - We had a really good stay at The Bali Dream Villa Resort. Included breakfast buffe, which was good. A pretty quiet place and a bit hidden, my boyfriend had to drive around in Canggu for two hours as the taxi driver couldn't find the place. I would say that you would need a scooter to get to the beach and the main area of Canggu. Perfect for us who are willing to drive around on a scooter, but we would have been pretty isolated if not. Overall a very good hotel!
- Gordo (8/5): quiet and away from the rat race - 3rd time to Bali and we were looking for a quiet place just to relax with no annoying disturbances', it was fantastic, stayed in both the superior room and a private villa, rooms are dated and are in need of upgrade but that to one side it was fantastic, meals were excellent and the staff very friendly, helpful and very respectful. A bit out of town but what's a 10-15 dollar taxi......really enjoyable and would recommend to those wanting a change from the Hustle and bustle, very close to the surf beach....lovely and dare I say it..........no children during our stay...
- Scuba Scott (8/5): Great place located far from everything - If you want a place to just chill- this is it as it is far from everything which is either good or bad depending on what you are looking for
- Scott (8/5): 2bed villa with young family - We loved our stay. Nice open outdoor living, great private pool and common pool, good value nice food. Must do is Echo Beach Club for bbq seafood at sunset. It wasn't clear to us but 2bed villas are not connecting rooms so kids have to walk past pool to get to other bedroom. Steep stairs on the 2 storey villa was a bit unsafe for young kids. Get your room when on sale because I don't think it's worth the full rate in comparison to others at that price.
- John (8/5): We will return!! - We stayed in a private pool villa - huge space and wonderful privacy. Almost perfect. Our only criticism relates to the furniture: all form and little function - lots of good looking, but not so much effective, storage space - albeit a minor irritation. will return!
- David (8/5): Relaxing - Would recommend staying here if you wanted to be out of main stream Bali. Stayed in a 1BDM Villa with private pool. Echo Beach not too far away. Would recommend you have transport, ie motorbike as a little bit of a walk to main strip of eateries etc and dogs roaming streets can be a bit of a concern. Very relaxing, great place to stay and recharge.
- Sue & Alan (10/5): Great Resort Excellent Facilities - This venue is far enough away from the hussle and bussle yet close enough to be well centred The staff were very attentive and every request was attended to without it being a problem
- Verified traveler (6/5): Our family of 8 people's stay - A family wedding was a our reason for staying at Canguu. Our expectation for our 8 day stay was full filled with relaxing days around the pool and massages and treatments at the hotel spa. The staff were fabulous and nothing too much trouble. The beach is not suitable for swimmers and a trip to Kuta in busy times can take over an hour. If you can afford it, we'd highly recommend you stay in one of the villas with your own plunge pool etc. Very romantic!
- ana (2/5): - Not as expected. Room was small and dingey and bathroom was dirty with black hair all over bath tub. Perhaps there were better rooms but ours was not up to par. You could not open the windows either. We asked for a baby cot the first night and were told we would get one the following day. It nevered happened. We stayed 4 days and even though we kept asking for a cot, we kept getting a different answer. The pool is very nice and food is great at the restaurant. Service charge is included(21%) which we did not know so we kept leaving tip everytime we ate and ended up pating 41% tip total every meal. No biggy just wish they would mention that after the zillionth meal. Overall can not reccomend.
- AHMED SALAMA (8/5): Quite Resort - It's a good resort Villas hotel for Honeymooners, who are looking for Villa with a private pool, but it is faraway from the live area and the beach .
