- George (1/5): - No bar and no breakfast 1 toilet roll for 4days stop we ordered a double room and was given a single room with a orfull bed
- Sarah (3/5): -
- Daniel (5/5): -
- Julie (6/5): A base and good place to rest - This is the 3rd year we have stayed at this hotel. We chose it because of its location - minutes away from the Model village which my son loves, close to the beach and it isn't too far to access public transport.
The room was clean when we got in, wifi worked fine, shower worked OK. We didn't find out until we got there that the outdoor pool was closed, this has been something my son has previously looked forward to
Our room only had a window in the bathroom which meant it was warm at night. There was a fan which was fine to keep the room cool during the day, but too loud at night
We saw a cleaner by chance on the 2nd day and our bin was emptied and we were given more coffee and milk, but our room wasn't checked the other 2 days we were there.
- Edward (4/5): Never again will I set foot in this so called hotel - No food on offer location good room very small bed and furniture seen better in a skip Not got the time to tell you what I think of this hotel

- Egle (9/5): No complaints - Lovely swimming pool, cosy room, clean and comfortable bed.
We will definitely back again! Perfect location. Bar was closed.
- West (4/5): ok but overpriced as the facilities were not as advertised - Bed was comfortable. Unfortunately we booked in March understanding that the pool and restaurant would be open. They were not. Such a fabulous building with so many facilities not used. The rooms need TLC but the bed was so comfortable. Missing the TV remote and took a couple of hours to get one. Just sad to see a building with so much promise to be in such a state.
- Joanne (4/5): - The bed was very comfortable There was never anyone at reception and was left waiting ages even though there was a bell to ring for reception. The room was damp and had mould on the bathroom ceiling and in the bedroom towards the bathroom
- Bekim (5/5): Ok but won't not recommend - Comfy beds and good location Dirt and stains everywhere, old carpets and squeaky boards underneath, tiny and smelly rooms!
- Angela (2/5): Location was great, that’s about it. - Location was the only good thing about it Room was dirty.Dirty towels with pubic hair on them and stains.Dirty bathroom ,hair everywhere.Showed did not work, had to wash up using tap .Again pubic hair all over the place in the bathroom. No Tv remoute either.
- Abbie (8/5): Lovely stay great value for money - The pool it's amazing No bar or food
- Lee (8/5): Very enjoyable - No breakfast Nothing
- Redfunny (10/5): - The flat was absolutely clean , the staff was fantastic I felt at home , the respect , the language was perfect , I guess the staff had that touch of confidence and perfect experience The toilet brush was not clean , at least we should have a bottle of drinking water or to use when making a cup of tea , yes I have to use water from the washing machine basin , was it safe for drinking , I guess yes , where is signage to show that it’s safe for drinking water

- Paul (7/5): - The location was good with plenty of hot water The corridor smelt of tobacco and the bed was rock hard, and the bathroom needed attention with loose tiles
- Chris (1/5): Worst hotel my advice paid to stay somewhere you actually get bed and breakfast - What breakfast there wasn’t one :( the room was not cleaned properly. there was rubbish left underneath my bed behind the Chester drawers never been hoovered. the carpets were dirty my door wouldn’t lock or close. Gave me the wrong key number when I looked next door the room was more spacious. Just one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Really not happy. and rusty shower bar.

- Aaron (10/5): -
- Miles (10/5): Perfect for Great Yarmouth holiday spots and Harry Ramsden - Local to Great Yarmouth holiday places. Local to fish and chips at Harry Ramsden. Perfect food.
- Mira (6/5): - Nice big bath tub and plenty of hot water We thought we’d booked a room with a sea view but we were on the opposite side of the building
- Ernest (6/5): Good value - Excellent value for money great location Price reflects hotel foreign owner and staff i encountered first room offered was dirty
- Roy (1/5): - It was close to beachfront Toilet leaked everywhere and wasn't the cleanest of rooms
- Leon (1/5): -
- Colin (4/5): not quite VFM but good location, but it is what it is. - Staff were fine and present when I arrived. Next to the sea front which is always a bonus! It is what it is I'am afraid, marred by long term guests smoking at the hotel entrance. Room generally was not very nice.
Hotel needs investment like many I have stayed in during the last 3 years. Not the cheapest or the most expensive but it could have been better, the bed in particular had seen better days, as with the furniture, which was tatty and insecure.
- David (8/5): -
- Baxter (9/5): Great seaside stay - The location was amazing as it was so close to the beach and the family entertainment of Yarmouth.
Pleasent and helpful staff and brilliant value for money. Nothing to put in here.
- Garry (7/5): -
- Pamela (9/5): -
- McKay (6/5): - A great location and the staff were lovely. The bed and sheets were clean and smelled nice and fresh.
It was great value for money though. We weren't advised the pool would be closed.
The carpet in both rooms were not clean at all and my single room bathroom especially needed a bit of an update.
- ANKIT (1/5): N/A - We were given an occupied room. Upon entering, we discovered someone was already sleeping in it I was given an occupied room. Upon entering, we discovered someone was already sleeping in it. This was extremely inconvenient and distressing.
- Sarah (5/5): Okay for a budget 1 night stay but wouldn’t stay again - Great location with small car park, the man on reception was very friendly and helpful (when you could find him). We had to be moved rooms because the door wasn’t sliding in the en suite bathroom. Had to wait for a while to check in as no one at desk. Pool area closed for maintenance and bar area was also closed other than for seating.
- Anthony (1/5): Very bad hotell - Nothing Drunk men fighting when i checked in .place stunk of shit ended up staying in my car fir the night
- steven (7/5): Stayed previously and would stay again - Clean and recently decorated room (25) a bit on the small side but really comfortable bed and had everything we needed inc free tea and coffee, free parking for our motorcycles with security lights. good location for the sea front. Friendly staff Nothing
- Quinn (4/5): - No breakfast
- Caroline (2/5): - Didn't like it very much Was disappointed that our room was smelling of sewer from shower a guy next door was slamming doors and keeping us awake untill 3-30 am was moved on last night but into a room that had been partitioned to make two rooms so walls not ideal can hear everything 😞 was nice of the owner to move us but in new room only had one plug socket no TV was nicely positioned to access sea front but needs terribly upgrading swimming pool not in use no bar no breakfast very basic also my other problem was our window didn't shut so there was people outside door untill late drinking and smoking and leaving it outside main door something needs to be done otherwise this alone would or could put people off! Tried to tell owner but he didn't understand what I was trying to tell him but he was a very pleasant man and lady worked hard to clean the rooms bedding was very clean this hotel would be lovely if it had bar open maybe small breakfast supplied and lots of revamp it's quite outdated in places.
- Eden (1/5): The family room was disgusting they let it out knowing full welll he admitted he knew the shower wasn’t working and we d - As soon as we arrived a lady is been throwing up because her room stinks of fish and the guy tells her he will clean it but she has to pay another £70 to move rooms LOL Knobs hanging off wardrobes and chest of drawers unsafe for kids ! Used cigarette rolling papers under bed too !
- Dawn (1/5): Don't stay here - The pool is closed. Now for essential works but its hit and miss when its open. Such a shame as years ago it was a lovely hotel and pool.
The rooms are ok but single glazed windows so can hear all traffic and voices of people walking by.
The manager or owner is very unhelpful. We booked a room for 3 of us which was a single bed and a double bed but wanted a room with 3 singles or a bigger room which I would've paid more for. He was only available from the inter com at the front of the hotel and said he'd come up to the room in half an hour. We said we were off out to dinner and he said they were very busy. Only 2 other rooms were out as the keys are kept behind the reception so could see all the room keys hung up. He didnt then ask if all was ok. Just completely ignored us. When we went there 6 weeks ago the pool was open but it went green the next day so only used it once. Our kettle didnt work and he wasn't nice then either. Its like everything is too much trouble for him. I hasten to say we will never stay there again. Which is a shame as we were regular visitors there years ago. After Covid and them using this hotel to house immigrants, the pool was then boarded over (they no longer house them) but its gone downhill so much.
- Gary (2/5): Would NEVER stay there again !!! - There was no breakfast availabe, no dining room the staff were very unhelpful. Not a nice place to stay !!! See above
- Adam (8/5): -
- Robert (7/5): -
- Sharon (1/5): - Nothing as it was nothing like the pictures Everything couldn't stay there. It was dirty and smelly. Definitely wouldn't have felt safe there.
There was hairs on the bedding and towels. There was bugs in the shower.
The pool was unavailable due to no water and dirty.
The smell in the place made me fell sick.
Instead of enjoying my break I spent time finding somewhere else to stay after a 3 hour drive.
We were unable to talk to anyone about our concerns as there was no one on the desk for a minimum of 40 minutes. We ended up put the key near the computer and went on our way.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
If anything environmental health need to go and check the place out.
No way is it 3* it needs closing until it gets sorted
- Katherine (5/5): -
- Rebecca (2/5): Very disappointed uncomfortable stay with no swimming pool like advertised! - WiFi was good Our room had red hot pipes all along the side of our room, constantly on (august) extremely unsafe for younger children especially as it was shorts weather. Mentioned it to staff 3 times, nothing was done about it. The swimming pool had no water in it all week.i asked for a discount as it should of been made aware to us, replied ill check the website. I just checked it myself and still no mention of pool being not available. This ruined our holiday as we were really looking forward to swimming in the pool, bought new inflatables and toys etc and the weather was amazing. The plug sockets in our room had holes around them, a child could easily put their fingers in there and get hurt. There was allot if dust under bed, on skirting boards and window sill, dead spiders and bugs on window sills and even on the lamp. Our TV had hardly any channels that worked, kept saying no signal. There were allot of noisy guests by us, which wasn't really necessary as the hotel was huge. Really disappointed this year.
- Jorge (5/5): Para um local pra ficar dois e razoável - Nas fotos aparece a piscina e não fui informado que a piscina estava desativada sem água e suja o bar do hotel fechado e cozinha mas razoável para passar no máximo dois dias
- Lee (1/5): Terrible - The location. 5 second walk from sea front. This is not a hotel. It’s a hostel by the looks of it for drunks.
As I arrived it took a while for someone to let me in when he did we checked in and took us to the room. He wasn’t English and came across rude. When we went to room there was a cleaner in but the room was dirty. The toilet was leaking so had to put towels down and the noise coming from the drunks above was horrendous. The walls and ceiling were like paper so could hear everything. They were talking and banging all night keeping me awake. If I wasn’t with my 7 year old I would have kicked off.
To enter the hotel a code had to be entered but it wasn’t easy. The reason why it wasn’t easy is because one of the drunks mobility scooter was parked there where she would just sit and smoke. It was scruffy. Then when checking out right above reception water started leaking from the ceiling and not just a little drip. It was coming from above and the guy wasn’t even bothered. The bairn called it a waterfall but we had to squeeze against the walls to leave just so we didn’t get wet.
All in all this hotel (hostel) is the worst place I have stayed. I know I only paid £53 a night but if I knew beforehand I would not have paid £10 a night. It’s just a great location
- marie (6/5): - I liked the location of the hotel, the room was big enough for us. It was clean, comfortable enough for the 4 nights. Shame the swimming pool wasn't open! Wasn't aware until we got there which was a shame.
- Richard (5/5): Could be a great place with investment as it had a lovely bar and reception area but it was shut - Location, sea view, onsite parking Loads of stairs, 69 to be precise and no lift although the one there didn’t work and hadn’t for years. Heavy smell of smoke and not tobacco on first floor corridor from three rooms. Bed was too big for room and are now covered in bruising from bashing leg on side. No hot water for bath or shower despite running both taps. Guests smoking outside front door which we had to walk through to get in.
- Ian (6/5): -
- Tracy (5/5): -
- James (5/5): Meh... a bed for the night - Location Upon arrival I rang the ring door bell to be greeted with a disgruntled sounding employee just saying a 4 digit code, I looked at the door bell confused and he repeated himself with the same 4 digits, and then told me black keypad and the 4 digits again, not a single greeting, I then walked to the reception area and waited for the said employee to come to the desk, I instantly felt uneasy as the smell of cannabis was overwhelming with my 4 year old son with me. He then acted very confused and kept picking up different keys, and then eventually took us to a room, opened the door and said sorry smoke room, wait 1 minute I got confused, then walked to the top of the hotel and grunted here and didn't even say if you need anything just walked away.
- Laura (1/5): Disgusting. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. - Only good thing was the location. Before we entered the hotel there was people crowding the front door all smoking! So had to push past to actually get into the hotel as we got into the hotel there was an awful smell of old ash tray, very stale! We went into our room and found yellow stains on the back of the pillows, bogies and snot all wiped over the metal bed frame! The bathroom floor was filthy! Toilet was leaking with what looked like urine. It’s very clear the rooms are not cleaned properly or at all for that matter. We left and did not stay the night here.
- Cullum (7/5): - Where the hotel is located brill haven't got far to go from anything... Paying for something that was stated when I booked I was paying for bed and breakfast and didn't receive any...
- Hazel (3/5): - The bed was comfortable, tea and coffee facilities We stayed in the Edward Room and the bathroom floor had water damage so you had to put on footwear before you could use the toilet etc as every time you stood on the floor you got wet and it felt like the floor would give way, also there was empty crisp, sweet etc packets in one of the bedside drawers.
- Stephen (1/5): - Nothing Everything
- Mina (1/5): Horrendous in every aspect! - The location of this hotel was fantastic literally a 2 minute walk to the sea front! Where on earth do I start…. As I work a lot and this was the only holiday I was able to take my son on this summer I had to work till 5.30pm before starting our 3 hour journey to the hotel for 2 nights. We got stuck in rather a lot of traffic and as the hotel had stated we have to check in between 2-10pm I was worried we wouldn’t make the 10pm checking in time. So I rang ahead to let them know we would be late and would someone be there when we arrived to let us in.
The man who answered the phone spoke little to no English and did not answer my simple questions and instead put the phone down on me!
I called again to confirm I have a 5 year old and need you to confirm you or someone will let us in when we arrive to get into our room… again he refused to answer my simple questions. Third times a charm after being hung up on again… to be met with an angry man who then shouted down the phone to stop calling me… eventually confirming someone will be there to let us in!
On arrival at 10.20pm with a very tired 5 year old the man then persisted to check as in to the furthest room in the hotel…. I questioned the man and why we had to be this far away from the entrance and his reply was yes…. He then persisted to watches struggle up three flights of stairs with two suitcases and two bags. It doesn’t end there once entering the room I realised why it was so cheap, with dirty sheets a bathroom floor which was collapsing and spongy and wet to walk on and bogies smeared across the wall.
Just sitting on the bed, it creeped like a 90-year-old’s knees and to lay on with like a concrete pillar.
The beautiful pictures of the outside swimming pool was drained and left with a puddle of dirty murky water.
After finally getting to sleep around midnight, I was awoken to arguments at 2 am from the next room. If it wasn’t for the beautiful weather, the fantastic company I was with and the seaside the one and only holiday that I could afford for my son would have turned into shambles.
- Bungle (1/5): Why you should not use the 'Albert ' room at Victoria Hotel. - Location. Clean bed sheets. Room smelled of mould. Bathroom floor was rotten underneath the lino floor cover. It was breaking up in one area, with dirty liquid soaking the towels we used to cover it.its whole floor was squelching, and wet coming through into the bedroom carpet. Told reception man, who ultimately was not interested. Shower was set to scolding, no cold water mix at all. Health and safety issue which needs to be reported.
- Tenessee (1/5): -
- brown (10/5): -
- Revell (2/5): If needs must only - Location Car park bays too small
No lift
Dirty rooms
Dirty shower head
- Richard (3/5): - Location No help at all for disabled people, very rude to my grandchildren when helping me upstairs, in bad need of an upgrade, very tatty, beds were of military style
- Eliseu Tito (10/5): 1 - Double bedroom ???
- Stephen (4/5): Poor - Kettle didn’t work, no bar service, shower poor red hot, TV didn’t work no batteries in remote. As above
- Raymond (7/5): -
- Alan (7/5): Basic but good value if not in room a lot , check facilities before you book - Location, seating area, toilets by entrance, management very helpful, good price No pool , no bar , tv not working , poor cleaning , steep stairs with luggage, lift not working
- Emily (3/5): Awful, dirty, cheap don’t do it - The security getting in and out of the front door It was awful..bathroom proper disgusting, no cold water on the sink to brush teeth..room like a sauna..dark, small and dingy…advertised as has swimming pool in the garden, yet supposedly closed that the week before..don’t stay here!
- Gary (2/5): Poor - Location Dirty, small rooms for a double, shower was very hot or cold, stayed out most of the day so we didn’t have to spend to much time in the room, made u feel dirty, said there was a view on booking, all we see was a wall and other people in there room
- Philip (1/5): Dreadful - What did I think of the breakfast? There wasn’t any! Hotel advertises- Pool, bar, breakfast…..
There are none of these things.
- Clarke (8/5): - Nice hotel, good pool N/a
