Guest Reviews
- Ailing (10/5): Very comfortable with great activities and yummy food. - Such a comfortable place to stay to avoid humidity and mosquitoes The food is totally beyond my expectation, so fresh and so well made. The transfer between hotel and airport was seamlessly organized. There are several hours that the generator is scheduled to go off which is totally understandable.
- Simon (8/5): Good but frustrating - Food was good. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. My top tips for an enjoyable visit are 1) stay in a chalet. We initially had a room in the main lodge but it was noisy and lacked privacy. We upgraded to a chalet which was far superior and, although more expensive, represented much better value for money. 2) stay 2 days rather than 3. All the tours on day 3 are within the grounds of the lodge and you don't really see much. 3) don't miss the Tambopata tour on day 2. We saw more wildlife on this one tour than all the other tours put together. If we had stayed a week earlier or a week later I may well have scored this experience 10 out of 10. Frustratingly, when we stayed there were several young children and this can be a problem.
At the lodge you are effectively trapped, you cannot wonder off on your own. There are only two places to hang out, your chalet room which has limited lighting and no wifi, or the main lodge building which can be very noisy if young children are staying. It isn't just the noise, you come to a jungle lodge to be immersed in the sounds and atmosphere of the jungle, not to be trapped in an expensive children's playground. The hotel needs a dedicated quiet area where guests can really relax and enjoy the location. Of course, you might be lucky and stay when there are no kids, in which case I am sure you will be scoring it 10 out of 10.
- Lindsay (10/5): Unforgettable experience at Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion. - We loved the location, the staff, the food and the planned excursions were all wonderful. Our room was in the main lodge. There was only an option to book one room type so I’m not sure why we were here. I was expecting to be in one of the cabins. It was so noisy where we were. You can hear the shower running and people talking in the next room. The sound of someone walking past our room was really amplified and trying to take a nap during the day was not possible. It was very peaceful from 10pm though so we slept well at night. Overall we loved our experience here, just the room was disappointing. The room we stayed in.
- Yi Min (10/5): Very nice! - An unforgettable Amazon experiences! Nice food nice room nice tours! The hotel got tours which could easily fill up the whole day and the tour guide was super nice. My flight leaves at 8:50am in the early morning and the hotel could have arranged for the guests to leave earlier, but fortunately I got there on time

- laura (10/5): Highly recommended! - We were in a cabana right in the jungle where we could watch and hear the animals!
The food was fantastic and all staff were amazing. We saw an learned so much from our wonderful guide

- JAKE (6/5): Nice place but could use some changes - Breakfast in the 2nd floor. Helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious , even though there was no water in the cantina and food ran out and coffee cups are hidden underneath the bookshelves, but there is a bell to ring to ask for items and they did replenish upon request. But showers had plenty of HOT WATER and helpful hotel staff. The rooms smelled VERY strongly of both sewage and cat urine ; not much you can do about the sewage smell and I suppose cat urine is better then having mice or rats… but I found the bad smell so powerful I had to sleep with the bathroom door open AND And the Balcony door open . Yes, the bathroom smelled better than the sleeping room. I didn’t use the pool on the basement level or jacuzzi in the room. So can’t comment on that. FYI our 3 rooms we rented for family were all On the 9th floor and elevator only goes to the 8th floor so you have to walk one flight up and down to the elevator . But asking hotel staff for help with your luggage on that last floor is so helpful. I do not think I would return because the overwhelming smell really did bother me if it were not for the entire family with us in 3 rooms, I would have changed hotels.
- Hong (9/5): A highly memorable stay! - Amazing stay in the Peruvian jungle. Great well-planned excursions. We saw so many animals. Roof is not sound proof for rooms in the main lodge.
- Grit (10/5): Unvergessliches Erlebnis - Super nettes Personal

- anas (7/5): - The property is beautiful, and the rooms are clean. The food was tasty, with good use of local ingredients, the staff, mostly, were nice, and the guides were excellent and knowledgeable. Excursions were generally interesting, Despite these positives, we will not be returning or recommending to anyone. the overall value did not match the high price, and the lodge does not feel “all-inclusive” as advertised. Almost nothing is actually included, and the extras come at a really higher price than usual. Given the isolated location of the hotel, this just feels greedy. For example, they provide a single water bottle for the room, which is used for brushing teeth, since tap water is unsafe, and any extra must be purchased, even during meals and during long exhausted excursions. Another example is that some excursions also required very expensive additional payment, such as 888 soles to visit a clay lick with birds, while the included one had no animals.
Management was the biggest let-down: not flexible, not accommodating, and defensive when we pointed out misinformation on their website instead of simply apologizing. Many staff seemed confused and untrained — reception in particular — though restaurant staff stood out positively.
lunch and dinner are strictly à la carte, and portions are quite small with no option for seconds. This can be an issue for guests with a bigger appetite. I personally liked the à la carte style, but there should at least be fruit, snacks, or nuts available between meals as we were shortly hungry after meals. Variety was also lacking — the breakfast and lunch menus were the same every day, and the dinner menu repeats every other day. There was a tea time between lunch and dinner, which has tea and coffee and one type of dry cake that is the same every day which you'd rather starve than have it. Service at meals was also very slow, with 30 minutes or more between courses, which is tiring after a long day of excursions.
Overall, it did not deliver the premium all-inclusive experience promised.
- ANTIGONI (7/5): Great Facilities, Disappointing Services - An amazing hotel with excellent facilities. It was in the middle of the jungle. The staff was very polite. Our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable. the management was very poor. Even though they told us it was “all inclusive,” neither drinks nor even water were included! Remarkably, at breakfast there wasn’t even any water available. They charge you for absolutely everything. A small bottle of water costs 12 times more than in the city. The food portions were very small, and we were often left hungry.
The food options were limited, and especially for people who don’t eat meat, they are forced to eat trout every single day.
The desserts were unimpressive. Even though they have incredible raw ingredients such as bananas and cocoa, they don’t make good use of them.
The massage was terrible, especially the facial I did — out of the 60 minutes, she left a mask on me and walked out for 25 of them. They didn’t even offer a glass of water or a tea, even though I had two treatments. I don’t recommend it.
We stayed three nights, and on the second day, even though we followed all their instructions, nobody came to clean our room.
Desayuno flojo
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect Amazon Stay - Gorgeous lodge in the Amazon jungle. Everything was included and nice thoughtful touches like gifted water bottles. From the arrival at the airport and transfer to the lodge, to having an organised itinerary of activities - everything ran seamlessly. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Nothing
Scordatelo..
- Michael (9/5): I wish we could have stayed longer. - The cabin was beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The food was amazing.
- Pablo (10/5): -
- Mengqin (10/5): -
- Talia (10/5): Exceptional - It was magical
- Wanyue (9/5): Superb - The facility is excellent, and I truly enjoyed being surrounded by the wild forest. The excursions were well-organized and very enjoyable.
- Audrey (8/5): Very good -
- Jayne (10/5): For a solo traveller this hotel made everything very comfortable. - The staff were very welcoming, it was very clean and the excursions were ideal. Nothing
- David (10/5): Immerse yourself in the wilds of the Peruvian Amazon and cuddle up with some amazing wild creatures. - This lodge exceeded our expectations. Amazing meals. Beautiful wild setting. Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Excellent guided tours (our guide Uriel was magnificent and fabulous at spotting wildlife.) The boat trips along the rivers were surreal, especially the morning breakfast boat out to see the wild parrots on the clay licks. The pickup and luggage storage services were added bonuses. This definitely requires a three night stay (which we did) 4 nights would have been out of this world. We would have loved to stay longer...
- Mariana (10/5): Best amazonic option - Great location, great activities, great rooms
- Bilash Kumar (8/5): - The property is very well maintained. The staff were super helpful. The food is good.
However, the power availability during night could be improved.
- DILESH (4/5): - Wouldn’t recommend this hotel. While it is presented as luxury in the rainforest, it has a lot of issues.
Food was not nice. Had to pay for drinks even water. Jorge and Abhner were great staff but rest were pretty bad. Janet as tour guide was great but we didn’t see that much wildlife mainly small insects which we had seen before. Room was not good - hole in the cabana roof led to us being swarmed by insects every day and staff did nothing to help. Cleaners were terrible. Sheets had stains and marks.
We contacted the hotel directly afterwards and were given a terrible reply. This stay was the worst part of our trip.
- Ramirez-chuley (9/5): Wonderful property with timely planned excursions! - The fact that the excursions were lart of the package. Also the food was excellent and the property itself was very well maintained. We also felt very safe and well cared for. Wish we had AC.
- Emily (9/5): A really brilliant stay surrounded by animals! - This place is amazing. The cabanas are right in the jungle and you can feel (and see!) the wild life all around you. Really nicely appointed and comfortable. The excursions are great. The staff (particularly waiters and tour guides are brilliant). Jorge was our waiter, and I especially want to say Romario was our guide and he was absolutely brilliant. Our whole group felt really lucky to have him. We saw lots of wildlife, learnt a lot and almost all of the animals we were hoping for. Only two things really:
- The reception staff don’t feel so well coordinated with everyone else and so it feels confusing, rushed or you can’t get information (like the time of your transport home so you can plan excursions)
- The food is nice, but I think we all felt there was room for improvement
- David (10/5): Fantastic hotel with great staff - The location, staff, food & activities Nothing
- Gaia (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and spacious rooms. The organized trips were really enjoyable and interesting, and the guides were friendly and always available to help and answer questions. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent.
- Nicola (10/5): Perfect jungle experience - Location and staff
- Lisa (10/5): Great family stay, wish I would have been able to stay longer. - Location, facilities, food and staff. Welcome snack, soggy sandwich
- Adrianne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (10/5): Amazing! - We loved this Inkaterra property! I debated long and hard between this and Reserva Amazonica, in the end I chose this because it's newer and has wifi. The food here is fabulous, especially considering it's location. All the staff went above and beyond with each interaction. The guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There is no pressure for tips from any staff. The only "cons" I noted are: our cocktails weren't great, the margaritas were undrinkable (appeared to be a new person in training) and at happy hour (2 for 1) they seemed watered down.
- Sheryl (10/5): Wonderful! - It was wonderful! Beautiful resort, great cabins. Absolutely no complaints! The excursions were wonderful, Pedro was a great tour guide! We even saw a sloth peeing & pooping. 😅 Everything was great
- Sam (10/5): Luxury meets adventure - Best rainforest stay. The food is great, the guides are great, the rooms are very nice
Luxury meets adventure
- Lia (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything. Stayed 3 nights and 4 days which was a good amount of time to do all the excursions. Beautiful bungalows (be sure to book the bungalow which are much more private then the main building). Our guide Guillermo was wonderful and knowledgeable. Food was also amazing with a la carte menu for lunch and dinner, breakfast ist buffet style. Super friendly staff, especially Angelo. the bungalows are amazing, clean and with a giant comfortable bed. Due to mosquito nets on the window and bed very little bugs, but of course you are in the Amazon so don’t expect zero insects. They do everything to keep the rooms and main building clean and bug free.
- Fabiana (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was awesome. Beautiful room, beautiful property. Amazing stuff!
- Brittany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carla (8/5): I loved it! I saw many animals like monkeys, caimans, turtles, slots, tucans, parrots. My room was beautiful and in touc - It’s closer to the city and wildlife is present in the surrounding areas.
The hotel areas are well kept and have no insects inside.
The guides are trained to spot wildlife. The food can be improved. Not only in flavour but also including local ingredients.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shawn (5/5): Good property, Great Guide, Poor Value Received. - The property is definitely one of the best in Puerto Maldonado. The guide was outstanding; he was knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and careful. A few waiters were nice and personable, but most of the staff was average or below. The food tasted good and the meal choices were good considering where you are at. Booking only listed “rooms” which turned out to be different than the cabanas in all the pictures and descriptions of the property. It felt like a “bait and switch.” The “rooms,” of which there are 6, are located in the main lodge. The price difference from a cabana was minimal. The problem with the rooms are that they are quite small and have very little privacy, since the other guests are mulling around the lodge all day. There are only screens and curtains for windows so you hear everything from your neighbors and anyone in the lodge. For $400 a night, it was deplorable. The staff claimed the property was full and would not move us, even though I offered to pay the difference.
My daughter got terribly ill from contaminated food at the property and missed all but the first night’s excursion. The staff wasn’t helpful at all, except for one waiter, who had the kitchen make some plain rice and some tea; the other staff just seemed complacent and ignored guests. What this property needs is better management. The guides were excellent and a few waiters were attentive and friendly, and the property itself is great. For the price we paid in Peru, the whole experience should have been significantly better.
- Kalle (7/5): This hotel suits people who want a fully planned out schedule and are not so keen on having truly authentic wildlife exp - Starting with the good ones: facilities (rooms, public spaces) were very nice, thoughtfully decorated and blended well into the surrounding jungle. In addition, our guide Guillermo was great on the excursions. I think one of the qualities that makes a hotel ”luxurious” is flexibility and being able to accommodate to customers’ individual needs. Unfortunately this kind of thinking is non-existent at this hotel. For example, they will get very confused about any requests that go beyond their own plans. Taking a bus instead of a plane when leaving? Very confusing, they will not offer help with bus schedules. Ordering a coffee with dessert even though it’s not yet ”afternoon tea time”? Very confusing, took them incredibly long to deliver each day and coffee was served cold everytime. These are a couple of examples.
They will also be very strict on when you have to go eat dinner, it is technically not up to you. Tour participation is expected and does not feel like you can choose which tours to go to.
Some of their ”extra services” are incredibly overpriced. Romantic dinner for 150 USD, which means putting a table and a candle outside. Sunset boat trip 200 USD, which means going down the river and having wine or beer. A ”deep tissue massage” cost nearly 100 USD and was not a professional massage at all. Not to mention that you can not go to the spa together with your spouse (even if the spa menu claims to offer a ”simultaneous” massage for 2).
Plates at the restaurant are small, they don’t sell any snacks and you aren’t allowed to bring any to the room (which is understandable, but we went hungry during our stay).
The tours can be very big and loud groups on very established routes, which significantly lowers the chances of seeing any wildlife outside of monkeys and birds. However, tour guides were amazing and we were lucky to have a smaller group.
Also a few of the waiters are amazing and try to make up for some of the other pitfalls. Rest of the staff is not at the level where a hotel at this price point should be.
- Kestutis (1/5): Good but they will choose for you when you can leave , and will charge extra for ewerything ! - This place is just a magic , wonderful experience to stay here .The staff was amazing, and our guide was knowledgeable, eweryone is so friendly. However, our experience was ruined by one person – Farid from the Puerto Maldonado office. Despite our check-out time being 10 am, Farid, without any competition, mishandled our departure. He managed the boat arrangements, and the situation became chaotic. Although our pickup wasn't until 15:30, we were forced out of our room at 10 am with no place to go, withouth any possibility go to town , or food . When I requested a change in schedule, Farid demanded $200USD for a boat at a different time, leaving us stranded we cant leave at checkout and cant delay departure. Additionally, we were told we had to pay 200 soles for food, even though we could no longer access it. This was a first-time experience for us, and it was extremely disappointing and destroyed by one person who have no competition to do his job. How were we supposed to reach the airport for our flight if we have a Flight on the morning ? Who authorized Farid to delay our departure? So 1* rating it’s just becouse of this accident to attract owners attention to that becouse I writed emails to main inkaterra office and no one cares .
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Pedro - our excursion guide - was amazing. And Victor in the restaurant was fantastic.
The lodge was incredible!
- Joel (10/5): Amazing adventure. Would recommend to anyone. - Everything but the mosquitoes. The excursions were fun, informative and great. The buildings were authentic construction. The staff were exceptional! Mosquitoes
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - This place is incredible. The cabins are stunning, you really feel like you're sleeping with the wildlife but they are remarkably big free. The staff were super friendly and helpful, including our guide Dagar who was knowledgeable and showed us so much on the jungle.
The food in the restaurant was delicious and plentiful. This was a highlight of our 2 month trip to South America and would recommend it to anyone Nothing.
- M (10/5): Exceptional -
- Uma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amarjyot Singh (8/5): - Great property. Lovely location. Quiet.
They really need to get 24 hr electricity and air conditioning.
Also, the food looked amazong but didnt taste good. So definitely need improvement in that aspect. Cocktails were great.
- Dilara (9/5): Superb - Staff was really nice, food was good as well. I was surprised that there were no mosquitos at the cabañas. Privacy at the cabañas can be improved.
- Dennis (7/5): Good -
- Antje (10/5): The all-in rainforest cabana experience you didn’t know you needed - The property is beautiful - a private property in the jungle, monkeys jumping around everywhere and birds chirping around you. We upgraded to a cabana when we arrived because we did not feel the price difference (between staying in a double room in the main house vs private cabana) was big enough to justify the difference in experience (cabana is the much more immersive experience, for sure!). Staff is incredibly accommodating, our guide was wonderful, and we loved that there was an “excursion schedule” that could simply be followed. Food was very good and the cocktails, too! Breakfast buffet was very diverse. The spa cabana is also beautiful. Not all guides spoke a very good level of English, which for the price point we did expect (as all tours / excursions depended on it). Luckily our guide was exceptional. If you’re going for value for money, there may be other options that offer a better balance/trade-off, but if you want the all-in experience, this is it :)
- Ruby (10/5): Absolutely amazing jungle experience for people that enjoy a bit extra. - The staff was incredible. Very Friendly and attentive. The hotel was very clean considering that you are in the middle of a jungle. All the excursions were very well organzied with knowledgeable staff. A bit more variety in the food that was serviced. We stayed for 4 nights and the menu was a bit repetitive. A 3 night stay is perfect. After that the excursion options are few in the area.
- Heather (10/5): - Amazing service, great food, unique experience! Conveniently planned for you, keeps you busy with interesting and fun excursions but still enough down time to relax. Definitely recommend!
- Kailey (8/5): Overall lovely but gets hard in the heat - beautiful cabanas, great food, excellent service- all restaurant staff super friendly (especially Abner and Fatima), beautiful property. Tour guide was excellent. The spa was lovely and very enjoyable. I appreciated the flexibility about the power and black out periods during the extreme heat but it seemed like it took a full day to address. That could’ve been addressed faster. There were some seniors on the property that I know were having a hard time. We definitely were. Perhaps there just needs to be an identified temperature threshold. Our cabana was perfectly situated to see monkeys and other wildlife from our couch. So fun! you should sell battery operated or rechargeable personal fans in the gift shop. Or frankly even paper ones. You’d make a ton. Especially during the heat wave when we were here. Everyone would’ve purchased one. Without a doubt. Also would’ve been helpful to have a few pharmacy items in there given how remote the property is. The gift shop also never seemed to be open with any regularity. Some attention to detail was missed when cleaning the cabanas. Cob webs and dead bugs that very easily could’ve been cleaned by housekeeping were missed. Especially in the light fixtures. I realize it’s a cabana that’s mostly screened in, but it was such an easy thing to clean and just wasn’t. Also the mosquito net over the bed is too thick. It doesn’t let air flow through from the fan which is crucial. Would recommend something a little more breathable that still keeps out the stray bug or two that get into the cabana. But the bug thing generally wasn’t an issue. (Except some dead ones). Also maybe a few more activities at the property if you opt out of an excursion. Overall we had a lovely time. It was a rough start with the heat.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wenqing (10/5): Wonderful experience. Highly recommended. We had everything we need in the room. The service is also great. -
- George (10/5): see above - The gourmet meals were terrific. Bird watching at the canopy tower was first rate: many different toucans and woodpeckers and coatingas. Visitors will see a large number of monkeys near the lodge.
- Olivia (4/5): Not a 5 star experience - Overall we had a great stay with Inkaterra, but it’s not a 5-star experience. Here is why:
- food, drinks and snacks are only served in limited time ranges. If you are hungry or thirsty outside of these ranges it’s just bad luck.
- They turn off all electricity multiple times a day. From half an hour to 2.5 hours per time. Means you sweat like a pig for that time, and are basically just waiting for it to be turned on again.
- The trips included are nice, but way to large groups at each activity. At one tour we were 25 joining, which made it loose its authenticity.
- They serve the breakfast as a buffet, which doesn’t work in the jungle. 2/3 mornings I have had to as the staff for new milk or yoghurt because of insects in it. Also they are slow at filling up the buffet, so you have to ask for plates, new food from the empty bowls and so on.
- Wi-fi is only in the reception/lounge
- We tried the spa, which was really low quality
The rooms/cabins are very nice and the staff very sweet, but when you look forward to, and pay for a 5 star experience Inkaterre fails to deliver.
- Winnie (10/5): Amazing stay in the Amazon! - The hotel is very well run and beautiful. I know it’s not truly in the real jungle but it gave us a good taste of it with a nice level of comfort. They planned the excursions for us and timed it very well. We didn’t feel rush or exhausted. All the guides were very knowledgeable and spotted many wildlife during our excursions. We saw capybaras, caymans, river otters, many types of birds and red howler monkeys!! The food was also amazing, three courses every meal! Lastly, all the staff were very friendly and professionally! It was an amazing experience!
- Beijul (10/5): Cute little eco lodge with great food and excursions - Nice staff and fantastic food - they accommodate everyone's dietary requirements They didn't stick to the timings they said regarding when electricity will be on and there was no one updating us on it either - i understand power outages happen etc. but some communication shouldn't go amiss
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice accomodation, very good Food. I liked that everything was organized and you could just follow the trips that were planned. Very nice staff
- Vishnu (8/5): My trip to inkaterra hacienda lodge - Like food and location and cabanas. Power outage, for few hours.
- Valerian (3/5): not worth the money unfortunately - the concept and idea are great. execution was not great.
we arrived during a cold snap and the property continued its generator schedule switching off electricity during the day so all people sat in a cold dark lobby.
we had a very bad and unmotivated tour guide.
only filter coffee available
food was ok. looked good but only tasted ok not in line with what i expected for the price
canopy walkway unsafe as several safety pins missing.
- Helen (10/5): - I cannot fault the entire experience. The rooms and main lodge are so atmospheric, the food was authentic and tasty, the excursions were all interesting and the service was incredible. I was unwell and the staff went above and beyond laying on a special menu and finding me medicine. We had 4 full days and each was unique and educational.
- David (10/5): Unbelievable experience and stay. Pricey but overall worth the money. - Excursions were excellent and part of what makes the experience of the stay.
The food was decent quality and the hotel was very generous with its meals.
The seats outside of the rooms were nice to look at surroundings.
Bed was massive and comfy. Wifi was poor. This was not an issue for me personally as I liked switching off. However, if you are internet fixed for work or personal use, this might be an issue.
- Vicki (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, staff very helpful, good food, walking distance to downtown
- Tanu (10/5): Exceptional - Staff and food were amazing. I mentioned i was a vegetarian and they made vegetarian food just for me as their were very few guests at that time and i was the only vegetarian person. The cabana's were beautiful and so were the excursions. The guides were really nice too! There was no hot water and in the afternoon when their was no electricity for a few hours, It would get really hot! I understand that in the middle of the jungle, these facilities might be hard to get and we appreciated the fact that we were already informed about the timing of when lights would go off but the pool in the spa was not hot and we couldn't use it and thus the spa service felt not worth the money
- Alja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (8/5): we had a wonderful time - It was an amazing location with beautiful facilities The bar service was really slow.
- Keith (9/5): Superb -
- Dan (9/5): Great jungle experience with lux level service - Service is great, meals are fantastic. Great tours and well organized guides so that you can have a real worry free experience The hot water is very limited in the regular room. Also my room was facing the kitchen, it gets noisy at 6am when the staff came in and start preparing for breakfast
- Heather (10/5): Relaxing, informative stay in the Amazon - beautifully decorated chalets that blended into the environment. tasty food, staff who were eager to please resulting in excellent service. nothing
- Shivani (8/5): Excellent - Breakfast was excellent, and so was the staff. They are very good people. More variety each day for vegetarians and different receipes.
- Chaya (8/5): Very good - Staff is friendly Food options are limited
- Vrushali (10/5): - We had the time of our lives here at inkaterra hacienda concepcion. Everyone was very friendly and professional. My animal lover daughter saw a lot of caymans and cute colorful birds during the activities they had arranged. Being a vegetarian i was expecting to not have many options but was pleasantly surprised with the excellent vegetarian meals they had. Everything went smooth and we had a great time. Thank you expedia and inkaterra for giving us awesome memories.
- Christy (10/5): - We had the most amazing experience staying here. Everything runs so smoothly from checkin to the excursions. The staff is so helpful and very friendly. The food is AMAZING!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very enjoyable but with significant inconveniences - We had an excellent stay, but with some significant inconveniences. Service was excellent, the food was good (though somewhat repetitive and portions are quite small), and the entire hotel is beautiful. Our guide Pedro was fantastic - friendly and knowledgeable, and we were lucky to see many animals. The main problem is that electricity is only available for some hours of the day. This means that you may return from a hike in the jungle, all sweaty with an outside temperature of over 30 degrees, but the fan will not be working and your room will be as hot as the outside. Also, the rooms are very poorly lit, and with only 2 power outlets you don’t have enough time to charge phones and other electronics before the power goes down. Also, the dining room was short on staff during most dinners so we had to wait for a very long time for our food.
- Paul (10/5): - Staff was courteous and extremely helpful. Accommodations were unique and pleasant, in tune with nature and the surroundings. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Food was authentic and well prepared. Wildlife was abundant and tour guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone spoke English very well.
- Shine (10/5): - Unique location
