Guest Reviews
- taylorlN1207IF (10/5): Very nice hotel - Very nice hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was super friendly. Breakfast was tasty with many options. Location is perfect, close to everything. I sleep very good and feel welcome. I really recomand this hotel for anyone visiting!
- ZebulonQ (6/5): Clean & Tidy Riad with helpful staff. - I stayed here for 1 night as I was looking for something around £50 per night. I’ve seen it advertised at around £80 per night at times. Its location like with a lot of Riads is difficult to find and the taxis can only drop you at the perimeter of the old town. Asking for directions isn’t easy as I don’t speak good French and no Moroccan or Arabic. But generally, people were friendly and helpful. The Riad itself is clean tidy and had the necessary air conditioning. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the inclusion of breakfast was both hearty and satisfying.
- makiskar (10/5): Best hotel in Marrakesh. Best and helpful staff ever and a tasty breakfast. - Everything was perfect. The hotel is located in the center of Marrakesh, five minute on foot by the center square. It was very clean and traditional as a hotel and the room was more than comfortable. The best thing was how great and lovely the staff were. They were very friendly, they helped us organise our trip in the desert, they booked us a taxi when we arrived and when we left, helped with our local guide, they gave us instractions about the city and what to avoid or what to see. The breakfast also was homemade and it was so so so tasty and even the day we had to leave very early they prepared it sooner so we could eat and leave in time. If i visit Marrakesh again i will certainly stay there and i definitely recommend it.
The wifi could be better but it's not very important for my so i dont mind that much.
- H7104QEjoej (10/5): A place to be in Marrakech - Comfortable and spacious rooms, plenty and rich breakfast in the terrace served with smile and good energy. The Riad itself is super authentic and stunning. They have reasonable prices for daily tours, which is great
I highly recommend the place for everyone
- BP500 (8/5): A good place for backpackers - The O Ly-Hotel is a riad, i.e. a traditional Moroccan house with a courtyard, which has often also a garden. It is centrally located in the medina of Marrakech in a quiet neighborhood. From there, all markets are within easy reach. The O-Ly can not be reached directly by taxi, the last 200m you have to walk and best rent a porter who knows your way around, because the entrance is not easy to find. The O-Ly is a simple but clean hotel, which, in addition to its location, convinces above all by the very nice roof terrace, where you can have breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening. The price-performance ratio was very convincing. We stayed a week and would certainly come back.
- Lifeofnadiine (10/5): Best Riad in Morocco - I travelled to Morocco by myself and spent my first five nights at Riad O Ly. This place is amazing, very authentic, the hosts are super friendly, warm hearted, open minded and welcoming. They answer every possible question with a smile on their face and are glad to help you in any situation. If you‘re interested in day trips, hammam or more, they will organize everything for you.
The location is perfect, just a few steps away from the souk and yet in a quiet area. Breakfast is rich and typical moroccan. The room service is very good and the cleaning lady is super sweet.
After my first stay in Marrakech I came back twice and this place just felt like a real safe haven! I recommend this Riad to everyone if you want to experience the real moroccan life including their warm hearted, kind and friendly people!
- Ayoubo123 (10/5): Ghdynnns123 - Riad O-LY it is a really nice palce in Marrakech, if you do like to chill enjoy good moment on the terasse😍 this was my second time to visit the Riad, I did not regret this choice. Thank you for making our stay in Marrakech comfortable and fun
- tarikaamers (10/5): Absolutely My address in Marrakech - A wonderful and warm place.
It's my address in Marrakech.
Nice people serving you and welcome you with some moroccan tea.
I felt like Iam home..
Clean and always smells nice parfums. My room was always cleaned up every morning after I leave for a walk in the old meddina.
Perfect location, near to everything.
I enjoyed chatting with brahim and Mohamed.. They are very friendly and show you tips, plans and places to visit.
I fully recommend this place.
- Ari001 (10/5): Quite place near the markets and with a very clean Riad and Supper Freindly Staff - The staff are amazing and helped me save money by letting me know what things should really cost. They set up bookings and arranged transportation for me and were easy to deal with. They were very attentive to my dietary needs and they were always available. This Riad, while a little tricking to find, is right at the end of one of the major streets of the markets in Marrakesh. It is just far enough away to be quite, but close enough to get a good meal or find your favorite treasures and gifts for family and friends.
- mohah335 (10/5): My Experience with Riad O-Ly - First of all I never write reviews. I just come on trip adviser to read reviews once I think of travelling .
But my stay at Riad O-Ly was superb which I had to sign up and post a review that to may help someone who is coming to Marrakech . I have stayed at many places all over the world but this Riad in Morocco exactly in Marrakech was my favorite.
They staff at this Riad take care of the customer and always make sure to make your stay the best. The manager Aziz was so good and always asked us if we needed something ( Moroccan Mint Tea and cookies were all for free )
Since it was my first time in Morocco I was unsure about the area. But this Riad gives everyone a cell phone and a map of Marrakech once you get to the Riad O-Ly Aziz or Ibrahim will hand you the map to show the places that must be visited and also the way so they make sure you are never lost with water , mint tea and cookies .
Every time you leave the Riad the cleaning crew will clean your room with fresh towels . Moreover , they do that every single day no matter how long you stay there .
The breakfast was amazing on the terrace , I can’t describe how great this place is and how great the staff are.
If you are going to Marrakesh you have to stay here. The staff make everyone feel safe and secure and are always looking out for you.
- FoodyGlobetrotter (8/5): Relaxing atmosphere - The riad was first hard to find and once we got used to the Moroccan streets it was pretty easy. The riad itself is very clean and beautifully decorated with the huge & amazing date tree, the rooms are air conditioned and you have the possibility to smoke shisha on the rooftop and playing cards (like we did). The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend it!
- edonn2016 (10/5): Best riad you can find! - Girlfriend and I have spent 10 days in this riad and it was absolutely amazing! Everything was as promised or even better! Aziz is excellent host who will do everything to make your stay perfect.
Every morning you will enjoy very good breakfast, excellent mint tea or coffee on riad terrase which is really nice.
Room was cleaned everyday.
They will also arrange your excursions or give you good advice where to go.
Everything was PERFECT!
- sanja00 (10/5): Great location, nice riad, helpful host, excellent value for money - We came at midnight, our flight was delayed, they waited for us on airport, we went with car near riad, other man waited for us and carried our luggage, we went by walk to riad. It was scary because it was night if it is first time in Marrakech. But welcomw was very warm. In the morning you have fresh made breakfast, fresh coffee, boiled eggs, pancakes, orange juice, fresh fruit. You can chill on terrace with morrocan tea. You have to be prepared that riad is like you are in hous wit other people, there is no intimacy like in hotel. Isolation of windows is not good. You have 7minutes walk trough souks to reach jemaa el fna and this is perfect position because in riad is very calm.there is air condition in rooms. Water pressure is not tipican european etc, it is lower. You also don‘t have shower curtain. Birds are singin 6-8 in the morning on date tree in the middle of riad. Air is a bit moist because riad does not have windows on outside. Our host was very helpful!!
- 495medh (10/5): My experience with Riad O-Ly - It was one of my best experiences there in Riad O-ly , they managed my airport transfer very well and they send a guy waiting for us to help us with our bags and everything was managed , the Riad was cool , we have been helped for many things for instance they gave us a map with an amazing explanation , delicious breakfast , free mint tea with biscuits and rooms were every day cleaned .
Don't trust those people in booking who sale taxis because they won't take you to Riad directly , it is better to book a taxi transfer with Riad itself,
Thanks and we hope to come back.
- anaritab2019 (10/5): Amazing!!!🤩 - Delicious breakfast, beautiful rooms, good terrace!!!👌🏽 The location is perfect too!!
Ibrahim and Aziz were very friendly, they helped us with everything!!!😉
It was a very good experience!!😃
I’ll be back...!!!😊
- ibrahim_267 (10/5): The Best Stay in Marrakesh. - This is the amazing place that I found by chance. It has great location. So close to center but it is away from noise of jamaal el fina. They offer great breakfast as well included fresh Orange juice and limited filter coffee and other delicious food. You will hear birds singing While ur having breakfast. Normally breakfast from 8 to 11 but if you need to leave early, they can make it ur breakfast early for you. Thats amazing thing that most of the places are not offering. Rooms are very confortable, double beds, air condition and ensuite. You dont need to pay for expensive hostels in Marrakesh. Just stay here and enjoy the calm and hospitality of Morocco .they offer you also tours in Marrakesh and give advices. İf you have any questions, Ibrahim and Aziz will be ready to make you feel comfortable and good. I strongly recommend you stay here at least one night because, you will definetely extend your stay like me :) thank you guys. Your doing great job. Hoping to see you soon.
- 82zuzannar (10/5): Peaceful oasis - Absolutely gorgeous riad with exceptional owners : two brothers who run the place and their dedicated stuff. Beautiful smell all over the place: inside the patio, on the staircase and in the room itself. The interior designed puts an oriental spell on the guests and takes them into the magical world of tales of 1001 nights.
- Lovty (10/5): Thank you riad oly - · We loved the way we were welcomed into the riad and made to feel at home. The riad is clean and beautifully decorated. The staff are exceptional and went above and beyond with every little thing - for example, picking us up from the parking spot, booking us taxis, giving us info and tips and organising a day tour to Atlas mountains which we loved and it went really well. Nothing was too much. The breakfast and hospitality was amazing. It felt like we were staying with family. No doubt that we will come back and stay here again. Thank you a thousand times Riad oly for a beautiful stay. We are so grateful. A special mention to Aziz and the other stuff - You guys are the best! Shukran :)
- javier (6/5): - el trabajador que estaba pendiente de nosotros muy agradable y amable, pero la dueña bastante apática y borde
- Kathy (4/5): Very disappointing - We really wanted to love this place. It sounded great in the listing, it looked gorgeous when we arrived, and the location was ideal. Oh, and also the housekeeping was excellent. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. First, the listing said there was a restaurant and bar/lounge -- one of the main reasons we chose this riad -- but there wasn't. That definitely should be removed from their listing. Second, there was no hot water in the shower -- something the owner seemed resistant to believe. But no matter when we tried it or how long the water ran, there was no hot water at all, not even lukewarm. And the inviting sunken tub had no taps, so had no water period, hot or cold. (On the plus side, we took such fast (cold!) showers we were able to get out and explore more quickly!) So while the location was great and it looked pretty, we definitely can't recommend this place.
- Claudia (8/5): Beautiful Riad - Loved my stay at O-ly. Stunning to look at, very authentic. Beautiful!!!!!
Staff very helpful and caring. Good breakfast.
It's not a plush hotel, I stayed in March, nights were cold, the water wasn't very hot, it is located down a tiny alley. For the experience, I sacrificed a bit if luxury. Would stay again.
- rosa (8/5): Friendly staff! - The staff we met were really friendly, we were only there for one night but feel like I'd go back. Good location to the bustle of marrakesh but was very peaceful place to stay
