Guest Reviews
- Salvo (10/5): -
- Faridah (9/5): fantastic - the view nil
- Melis (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay here, perhaps next time will book the cottage which is abit further out to muffle potential nois - We stayed in the cosy studio cottage, the bed was comfortable and the view was incredible. The perfect spot to unwind and get away from the city. Location is awesome, there’s plenty to explore nearby and the property itself is on a large acreage where you can walk down and see the sheep and alpacas. The kitchen is fully equipped, space was very clean, tidy and welcoming. Loved the property itself however, didn’t enjoy the rowdy group in the next cottage who were yelling and screaming late into the night - kind of ruined the peaceful vibe.
- Brandt (10/5): -
- Hasse (10/5): Enjoyable weekend away with amazing views. - The studio is small but exactly as described! The views are stunning and it had everything we needed, including a well equipped kitchen. Their property is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around the bush looking for wombats.
- Eun Hee (8/5): -
- rachel (10/5): Beautiful cabin with everything we needed in a stunning location - We loved our whole stay but the stand out was being be to step out and watch the sheep and spot wild deer. The spa was a nice way to relax of the evening We loved it all. The main bedroom the bed was a bit hard but that’s being picky and not a problem at all.
- Harpreet (8/5): -

- nghi (9/5): Old but comfy cottage - Host was very informative, txt us in advance giving us recommendations on places to go, and eat which was very handy. The location was amazing, short drive to town for cafes, restaurants, IGA. The view from the backyard was amazing, made my coffee and was walking around the back to absorb it all in. The cottage is old but we weren't bothered by it as it was clean and cosy. I found a strange smell in the kitchen on day 1 but no one else in my family was bothered by it except for me.
- Lorraine (8/5): Lovely couples retreat - Beautiful views, lovely couples retreat The rooster starting just after 4am
- Stacy (10/5): Had a great stay away from city in lovely accommodation and perfect location - The serenity and view Nothing

The surrounding area was truly stunning and the studio itself was clean, comfortable, and stocked with just about everything you could need. We had an absolutely delightful stay and I couldn't recommend this place more.

- Debbie (10/5): - The Studio was perfect for us, small and perfectly formed with everything you could possibly need for a weekend or midweek break. Spotlessly clean and comfy bed.Very quiet and I loved the tranquility of the views. The gardens were really well looked after and the alpacas, sheep and baby lambs were adorable. Will definitely return.
- Lacey (7/5): Nice place, would stay again without the annoying noise. - Great location, stunning views.
Clean and lovely setup. There was something outside the squeaked/grinder the entire weekend which was very hard to sleep with.
The windchimes were also very annoying to sleep with.
Quite a cold place despite having the fire and heater going.
- Bernhard (10/5): Exceptional - Location, wood fire place plenty fire wood, big spa
- Melissa (9/5): Superb - The view.

- Sascha (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, alpacas and sheep nice touch
- Lee (9/5): Pretty View - The Studio was very comfortable with everything you needed. Communication from the owners was very good. The view was exceptional and beautiful gardens.
It was a very hot day when we arrived so it was very welcoming to enter with air conditioning already on. The road being main access to the town was a bit noisy, especially the trucks and started early in the morning. I'd hoped The Studio at the back might have been quieter. There was a nearby rooster which woke us extremely early each morning about 5.30am and carried on and off over 45mins. So forget a sleep-in. NB the shower is over the spa bath which might be different to get in if older.
- Kieron (9/5): Superb -

- Justin (10/5): 100% Recommend to anyone looking for a short escape in the heart of Western Gippsland - A very comfortable; quaint home away from home; excellent location; fantastic facilities; approachable and pleasant host; Highly recommend to anyone looking for a country escape with everything you need.
- Sam (8/5): Great Views - Cute cottage with everything we needed. Would have been nice for the cottage to be heated up before we arrived as it was very cold. Also one day I was working from the cottage and someone was mowing the lawn on a ride in mower which gave me a headache and made the afternoon not so relaxing or enjoyable.
- Sienyta (8/5): Very good -
- Dean (10/5): Perfection is the best word to descibe our stay. - The location was a beautiful place to stay. The room had everything we needed to be comfortable. The communication from the owners was exceptional and made our stay more enjoyable. Thank You. The only thing i didn't like was the stay wasn't long enough.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): - Such an enjoyable little getaway
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely beautiful view
- Jessica (7/5): Beautiful country getaway with stunning views. - Beautiful gardens and lovely little cottage, a little slice of country heaven. closer to road than envisioned so traffic noise was louder than anticipated but otherwise very happy and content.
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brandt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fleur (10/5): We had a lovely time at the Studio, enjoying the sunsets and soaking up the peaceful vibes - Amazing views and peaceful surroundings loads of flying bugs in the morning in our room, not sure how they got in!
- Ingrid (9/5): Great place to unwind - Number one is the view. Love it! The bathtub was bit broken also too bad we can't stay any longer!
- Kate (9/5): Superb -

- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Aurelia (8/5): Very good -
- Isabella (8/5): Very good -
- Robin (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Chelsi (6/5): Nice View but wouldn’t rebook. - Beautiful View directly opposite Studio. Hosts were really nice and friendly. Hosts Dogs wouldn’t stop barking at us when we were outside (when hosts were out). Too close to other guests. Cottage next door had children and not a relaxing retreat stay when you can hear children screaming. Lots of cars going past one of the days when the other building was occupied.
Town is extremely quiet so you have to travel out for things to see and do.
- Kunal (10/5): Great View, Comfy room and awesome getaway - The location was great and convenient close to shops. The room was clean, cosy and the bed was firm. The staff was very helpful and assisted us in visiting places in and around
- Kaitlyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (8/5): beautiful surroundings in a beautiful location - the view the trucks going passed/ noisy air con
- Jason (8/5): Our stay was a delight fantastic accommodation, really enjoyed it relaxing awsome sun sets & views . - Location was fantastic, staff were friendly & site was easy friendly & staff were extremely competent in asking questions & messages very prompt absolute joy in this day & age . felt secure with parking & staying at property in general. Beautiful views & accommodation, would highly recommend a stay . Julie’s fresh eggs were fantastic & her lovely country hospitality makes you feel very welcome. Aircon was abit noisy, some Maintence was needed on screen door. Soaps provided, knew bbq would be great, maybe paper towels tissues , small milk, some biscuits supplied from local bakery with there logo .
- Jesse (8/5): The staff were friendly and the property was lovely however the not included breakfast was inconvenient and disappointin - The property was nice, mountain view studio was amazing. The views from the balcony were exceptional - exactly what my partner and I were after. The room itself was tidy, clean and comfortable. The property’s location was great - just a two minute drive out of the Neerim South town centre. Nothing really about the property itself but we did find it rather inconvenient and disappointing the Booking.com listing for the property advertised breakfast was included - only to find out on the first morning of our stay breakfast wasn’t included. Included breakfast was the main reason my partner and I chose Vivere Retreat.
- Leonie (4/5): - Major issue was communication. Apparently the contact number we were provided with was not working so issues that arose in relation to our stay could not be dealt with in a timely fashion.
- Atoana (10/5): - The studio we stayed in was clean and well facilitate, The view was amazing, we needed to get away from our busy life in Melbourne and relax and Vivere retreat offered just that. We also go to visit Noojee Trestle Bridge which is a 20 minuet drive. Overall this retreat is well worth a visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved location. There was a lot to see.Wonderful views from our porch.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a lovely, cosy and very clean cottage with a loft bedroom and stunning views of rolling hills.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place was great. Has a nice view in the back yard.. enjoyed the stay..
- Jamil (10/5): Beautiful spot! - Beautiful surroundings. Well located, serene area. Very clean. Great host. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed in the studio which was a little self contained bedsit with a generous verandah overlooking spectacular rolling hills.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Loved the feel of this stay was enjoyable and owner was lovely, only annoying this was being charged extra for second bedroom when I booked for both rooms - last minute advertising incorrectly
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful wonderful accomodation
Everything I required and so much more
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Viewsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A beautiful property, with amazing views, & lots of bird life, would love to stay here again.
The studio has everything you could want, & our wonderful host had the heating on for our arrival.
- Adriano (10/5): Great overnight getaway - The retreat provided great views from every room and our stay was very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Angela went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable. Very happy with all at the retreat and will certainly look at a return in the future.
- Lindsay (10/5): - Lovely and cute... Nice getaway for our little family and there were even toys for my three year old to play with and entertain him all night. He loved it and he loved the big spa bath also. We relaxed in front of the fire with a cheese platter and freshly cooked chocolate & raspberry muffins made from our lovely host Ange. Thank very much.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay. Amazing views and nice and cozy rooms would definitely return again
- Emily (10/5): - Absolutely lovely!
Ange was so welcoming and even baked some tasty fresh muffins for us.
The views, the cottage, the supplied breakfast basket, were all wonderful.
Will certainly be back.
- Andrew (10/5): - We had a great stay here. The room was comfortable and clean. Our host was very helpful and friendly and did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. The room was warm and cosy upon arrival and we really enjoyed our stay. We even got to meet one of the cats which was so friendly and he literally raced across the yard to greet us. Wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back to stay for multiple nights.
- Justin (10/5): Beautiful property with stunning views - First time stay. Ange’s hospitality was five star. Beautiful room with everything you need including a spectacular view.
We’ll be back
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing view...just breathtaking. Ange is a lovely host and muffins were delicious
- marilyn (8/5): - our stay was very good , lovely breakfast left out for us along with home made museli and some delicious muffins , linen all lovely and clean as were all the facilities , only problem we had was with heating the main area , conara was not sending out enough heat and split system was far to high up on the wall , all the heat from split system was heating up loft beautifully but we couldn,t get any heat from it into main living area , otherwise everything else was excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cosy weekend away - Hostess Ange was delightful - really accommodating and friendly and ensured we were comfortable from beginning to end. The cottage is delightful and we enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and fireplace for a cozy, decadent weekend away. The layout of the property is great - we could keep it all heated easily, and backyard views were a real delight! Would happily stay here again!
- Margaret (8/5): Beautiful views. - We really enjoyed our stay at Vivere Retreat. It is well located on the main road and 15 minutes from the highway. Friendly, welcoming hosts. Breakfast in fridge ready for us to cook at our leisure. Beautiful setting. Comfortable cottage. Would stay again.
- John (8/5): A modern relaxing retreat with sensational views - Vivere retreat is a lovely relaxing stay with spectacular views and plenty to do in the local area. The retreat came with freshly baked muffins, bread, milk, coffee and much more to make the stay most comfortable. The retreat itself was beautifully modern and decor was fresh and clean. We were lucky enough to witness two great sunsets directly east from the verandah and large windows. A great relaxing stay away from home.
- Beck (10/5): lovely place to relax. gorgeous view. - A lovely property with separate dwellings. We loved the mountain view studio. Very comfortable and quiet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Irresistible cottage - The view from the cottage is awesome. We love the design of the cozy cottage, the beautiful view and the nice host.
We’d love to go back and spend more time in this lovely cottage on the following travel.
- Lorraine (10/5): Lovely country get away with gorgeous views. - Angela, our host was very accommodating and friendly. Our country get away was very relaxing and had all amenities you could want. The nearest town was neerim sth, which was a lovely country feel and had all the shops necessary, if you forgot anything from home.I certainly will come back again and perhaps stay a little longer.
