- Ota (9/5): Relaxing stay away from the city. - The staff was incredible. So very nice and gracious, and very helpful. Limited English, so knowing basics and apps came in handy. Food was delicious! Way too much, but rather have too much than be left hungry. Views and seclusion was nice. Close to temple and farm. The motion lights. Like that it turns off, don't like when it turned on in the middle of the night (sleeping baby). Wish we knew about bag transfers - should have asked sooner, but thought we only needed 1 night (actually needs 2 nights). Hard to get a taxi up there at night. Very few taxis running.

We didn't get to experience the bath but we hope to next time. Very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. The staff were all so kind. It is not that we "didn't like it", we just wish there were some menus prepared in English so we understood what we were going to eat or if there were other options.
- Kate (10/5): worth the cost for food and location - Amazing Japanese food, impeccable service (attentive yet non intrusive) , quiet location lovely peaceful views. The temple, turn right outside the door and walk for 10 mins was incredible, virtually no one there and more impressive than the tourist traps in Kyoto (fushimi inari) amazing mountain view. The location is amazing. 10 minute taxi from Oji station. Can't recommend highly enough. The onsen was lovely. Nothing I could think of at all.

Temple near by (walking distance) is beautiful and must visit. Food is excellent both breakfast & dinner. private onsen in our room patio 1. there were no shower in our room, very inconvenient 2. the place is a little outdated
