L’ascenseur neuf parfait
Et la belle piscine et son éclairage ultra branché Difficulté de compréhension avec le personnel, mais bon un sourire, de la patience et on se comprend

- Jackie (8/5): Clean ; good price. Nice peaceful location - Comfy bed. Lovely view from the room .
Staff were very nice.
Room was clean . Bath was big.
Riverview was peaceful
Large roomy car park
I would stay there again . Nothing to complain about. .. only just a caution to others...when pulling out of the car park...as the trees or hedge block the view a little and you do need to pull the vehicle out onto the road to see...just do it with caution and all is good.
- Ceļotājs 75 (10/5): - Beautiful hotel on the river bank, good pool, excellent breakfast.
Good quality!
- tamar (10/5): great experience - We stayed for 2 nights as a family and booked 2 rooms.
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast was wonderful.
The pool was under renovation (we knew about it), and we went on some trips instead.
Overall, it was a great experience!

- anthony (10/5): - Hotel et personnel agreables. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec une superbe vue sur la rivière kwai. Petit déjeuner correct. Bel espace piscine.
- Alicia M. (8/5): - Riverside location. N/A
- Stefan (8/5): -
- Thue (6/5): - Pæne og rene værelser. Flot udsigt over floden.
- Panithan (7/5): - Scenic views and good hospitality Refrigerator was not working.
- Panithan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (8/5): - The property is a little out of the way but very nice. It does not have a restaurant or a spa. It would be nice to have more amenities. The staff is amazing and very helpful!
- Monton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - サービスや部屋はよかったです。ロケーションも最高でした。朝ご飯の内容はもう少し充実させた方が良いと思います。全体的に冷めていて、パンやフルーツのバリエーションも少なく残念でした。
- Lee (5/5): Passable -
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Rani (9/5): There is an elevator/lift - despite the various reviews that say it is stairs only. That is a fabulous addition. - The pool was so lovely at the end of a hot day. The view from the room was amazing. Breakfast was nice - buffet on weekends and pre-ordered main course with buffet add-ones on weekdays. The room was very nice and the mattresses were comfortable- much softer than most of Thailand but maybe a bit firmer than North America. They didn’t always restock water and pool towels but the staff got them for us immediately when we asked.
- Cherry (4/5): Disappointing - River view Noise from boats and music.
- John (10/5): Great hotel stay. - I went to Kanchanaburi for a few days during a month long Thailand vacation and had a great time. The Glory Hotel was a great choice. Its staff was great. It was a very comfortable room and the location was quite good. I’d definitely stay there again. Breakfast was good and filling.
- David (8/5): - Great location in the River. Slightly isolated out of town but staff very helpful in getting us a taxi. Breakfast was ok but the eggs , bacon etc was cold
There is no restaurant or bar at this hitel
- Pattaraphorn (7/5): Good -
- DORON (10/5): Worth every penny - Perfect location and well maintained
- DORON (10/5): Don’t think twice - Perfect. Worth every penny
- Pattaraphorn (8/5): Very good -
- Ben (6/5): nice, but not wow. - The view is lovely, the room is big enough, staff is friendly. The bed is terrible, very hard mattress.
Breakfast was ok, except the fact that they force you to pre-order your food a day in advance, and commit to certain hour to come.
Coffee was bad, maybe should think of buying proper coffee machine with real coffee.
- Dean (10/5): stunning - Where to start.... Absolutely beautiful views of the mountains and river, the room was huge with lots of natural lighting, large balcony. Bathroom was nice with a large bathtub. Location on the quiet side of the river but only a few minute ride and your into the town, 5 minutes from the famous river kwai Bridge. I will definitely be returning in the future. My only negative is that the bed was a little hard, other than that it was a perfect stay
- Armand (10/5): - This stay was just perfect for us.
- David (7/5): Loved the position and view. - The balcony view was amazing. Comfortable bed. The bath tub shower. Terrible to use and dangerous.
- Sophie (8/5): Very good - The view was beautiful.
The room was big.
The shower was a good size.
There was a full length mirror
The breakfast was tasty.
The pool looked nice although needed some upkeep.
There were chairs and tables next to the river.
Staff were friendly.
There was a safe. The bed was super rock solid.
No mirror to do make up in and sit down.
Had to pay 200bht for new room key
- Sasipong (9/5): Superb -
- Kellie (7/5): Great location and comfortable stay - The location on the river is very peaceful and relaxing, with well kept gardens. The breakfast was very nice. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We originally booked a room with a bath and changed it once we realised these rooms are located on the 4th floor up 6 flights of stairs. Beware that the rooms with a bath do not have a shower. It is a bath only. The hotel agreed to shift us to a ground floor room which was much appreciated.
- Suriyan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rathakorn (9/5): Superb -
- Yoswaris (10/5): - Ok
- Dean (8/5): Highly enjoysble short stay. - Location and views of the river spectacular Staff really friendly food really good.
Beds extremely hard very difficukt to sleep.
- Ana (8/5): Very good - The river view is beautiful and the location is easy to get around. Breakfast could be better as you have to decide a day in advance what you would like to eat. In the room, not having a remote for the ac and having to control it at the entrance is annoying in the middle of the night. The hotel will benefit from having a bar or restaurant in it as the scenery is so beautfu. Exl
- Paul (8/5): Very good - The shower was in the Bath and the lead was too short, so had to kneel in Bath to have a shower.
- Christopher (8/5): Very pleasant, good value, quiet hotel on the river. - Nice comfortable room with beautiful view of the river. Quiet setting. Good breakfast. Great location. Great value. It could do with an elevator!
- Anthony (8/5): - A great place to stay when visiting all the main tourist attractions in the area
It was just a pity the staff couldn’t speak English
- Gordon (10/5): 2 Night Stay at Glory River Kwai Hotel - The Glory River Kwai hotel is an excellent hotel & very close to everything: 15 minute easy walk to the bridge & 25 minutes to town centre. Very clean, modern room - all with a balcony & sitting area overlooking the nice pool and the river beyond. Glad to give strong recommendation to stay here. Great staff too.
- Alexander (8/5): - Lovely relaxing stay by the kwai, nice and quiet
- Elmarie (6/5): I was there with my mom & we liked our stay. - Lovely view & peaceful A little far from things to do.
- Benjawon (7/5): Good -
- Uwe (10/5): - The reception was well prepared and fast. I got a room on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view on the river and the town on the opposite site.
In The Glory one is not too far from the busy area of Kanchanaburi, but has also quietness around.
Facilities are good, although the dining and breakfast aeea should have arrangements to isolate it from the sometimes windy conditions of the riverside.
Anyway fully recommendable.
- Theera (4/5): The explanation of the hotel in the Booking website should say that the hotel does not have elevator - Room were clean, size was good, and balcony was providing a good view No elevator, not able to change room on a different floor without some reimbursement
- Daniel (10/5): - Lovely hotel, staff didn’t speak much English but did their upmost to help you. Wouldn’t let me carry my bags, room overlooked the river and close to the tourist attractions.
- Onno (8/5): Business - Nice location. Noisy rooms, very poor breakfast for this price.
- Kanungjit (6/5): Pleasant -
- Picha (8/5): - Small but peaceful accommodation attached to the river.
- Chanchai (8/5): Very good -
- Jakub (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (8/5): Very good -
- Christian (7/5): Good - Nice pool area with sunbeds, hammocks and a beautiful view of the river.
A small walk away from the main street that had decent night life with plenty of bars and the superb vegetarian restaurant "On’s Thai-Issan Vegan" It would be nice if they labeled vegan options at the breakfast buffet. There were few veggie options and no plant based milk.
Brochures in the room promotes tourist facilities that are abusive to animals. Please instead promote places such as Somboon Elephant Foundation who has a great elephant museum and only do hands off!
There were little flies everywhere including in the room and in bed. Downside of staying by the river I guess :)
- David (7/5): Good - Nice location on the river. Unfortunately a lot of noise from the other side of the river with tree cutting and a loud concert to after midnight.
- manchesterianBangkok (4/5): 2* or 4* - On the face of it could be a Thai 4* except no lift so rated 3* but it is a bare 3* due to the fact that the mattress is rock hard as are the pillows never experienced anything as bad in the thousands of hotel rooms I have stayed at .Another big negative is the lack of soundproofing between rooms it's like your neighbors are in the room with you!
When we arrived in the room no soap or toilet tissue.
All in all way overpriced!
- ROBERT (8/5): 5 Night Stayh - 5 night stay. A few nice restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, 10 minute walk will get you to the many bars and restaurants the other side of the river. A 30 minute walk will get you to the famous bridge. Exactly what we wanted, somewhere close to the nightlife but not too close.
- Alan (5/5): It could be a little gem if it had a lift and put ramps etc in. - A modern boutique style building with built in problems.
It is next to the river and is in a wooded area with no neighbours. About 0.5 km. [over the river] to River Kwai Road with its bars/restaurants area. It's on 4 floors but doesn't have a lift [this detail should be highlighted]. You have to go up 3 steps from the road to the reception, then down 3 steps to a 'sunken garden' then up 3 steps to the rooms section and down 3 more steps to the riverside terrace, [this could be flood defences as it is on the riverbank]. When we arrived the staff were helping to carry an elderly lady in her wheelchair, down/up/down the steps. The t.v. seemed to have mainly Thai shopping channels.
- Mitchell (10/5): Amazing stay and would definitely recommend to others! - Amazing views, location and breakfast! The outside pool is a must use for your stay in the evening, where the sunsets on the river making for amazing scenery! No lifts
- Pojsawee (7/5): Good -
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was great and spacious room
- ธนวัฒน์ (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No elevator the stairs are dark otherwise it is a good hotel the hotel has 4 floors
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The view from the room is excellent. It was good stay for me.
- CommBkk (6/5): Not met my expectations - I booked the room via agoda that’s fast booking and check-in. Nice staff at the front desk. There were not enough staffs at the lounge for breakfast, also the staffs wasn’t nice. Not enough choices of breakfast for this cost of room we spent. The wall was thin so that you can hear the loud noise from upper floor. The room was big with balcony but the bed was not soft. There were ants in the room. Anyway, this hotel has nice view. If I have a chance to come back, I’ll say no.
- MariaGasemHuanbutta (10/5): Fantastic! a nice cozy hotel with great views. - I loved the hotel, the pool is beautiful. The decoration and the room size is great. The bathroom is small but well equipped with right amenities, and there is a standing shower that is great too.
There is not elevator so if you are booked on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th floor make sure your knees are ok. Usually the staff helps with the luggage too.
There is a but. The clealiness. The hotel seems to be clean as the colors are kind of dark, deep purple eggplant color.
The room looks clean but there are small ants around the coffee and tea making facilities. We did have also ants in the sink in the bathroom. The sink had kind of patches of a white thing around.
There are some damage parts in the room that should be repaired.
Windows are huge and need to be cleaned too to enjoy that amazing view they have.
Bed and linen are quite clean, the views from the room are amazing, full river kwai view in all floors. Lower floors, probably a little less, but views are stunning anyway.
The breakfast is limited but sufficient. It is more than enough but the kitchen, open kitchen, is messy and untidy. There are little ants around the bread and croissants.
The breakfast view is amazing, right in front of the river. will be amazing if they could decluttered the amount of chairs around.
On the way to the pool there are 2 small rooms: one seems to be the kids playroom and the second one, kind of library or meeting room. Both are completely messy and full of staff, cluttered. Not a good look when you walk to the pool.
The swimming pool is stunning, maybe with white marble tiles although the wooden floor are in desperated need of repair, some of the wooden boards needs to be fixed because walking bare feet can be even dangerous.
We couldnt enjoy the hotel at night. but they have a nice cozy garden and a bar to enjoy the views of the river with some music.
Staff is very friendly and willing to help, but seems they are the ones who took over the hotel, thats why probably the hotel is a bit messy and cluttered as there is not management present.
The experiencie and the place has been great.
We will defintely come back
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good scenic near river kwae. The room need to clean up a bit since it has been closed
- XTravelingSoldierX (8/5): A good place to stay - This is a great hotel with a nice view of the river and away from the business of the downtown area. If you like peace and quiet and still just a 10-minute walk from town, this is the place to stay. The swimming pool is very clean and they have wood platforms along the river for relaxing, having tea/coffee/food, or sunbathing. Breakfast isn't the best but you are within a few minutes' walk from town and there are many restaurants/bars and street food of your choosing. While you are here make sure to visit the Death Rail Bridge, Jeath War Museum, and The Curve coffee shop.
- Corneliani (8/5): Good value for money - The hotel is nicely located at the river side on a quiet location but just a 5 minute walk from the main street with many restaurants and bars. They have a very nice pool overlooking the river. Rooms are clean and the breakfast service is wonderful (basic but good service and fresh). The reception has a very cozy and local atmosphere. The hotel has free use of bikes to bike around the town. Staff is very service oriented. The hotel doesn't have an elevator and 4-5 levels. So if you can't walk a lot of stairs, make sure you get a room on level 1 or 2.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great Hotel right on the river Short walk over the Bridge for Restaurants and Bars
- Charles (10/5): - Very comfortable, with Great River View is an extremely helpful staff. The breakfast room is terrific and I really enjoyed the pool.
- Sia (8/5): - Good stay. Staff friendly. View is beautiful especially at night we have drinks by the riverside.
- kcmooreiii (8/5): Good for a Couple Days Stay - Pros - Good location and rooms have a good view of the river. Very clean and modern. Can walk to decent restaurants. Good (large) breakfast, cooked to order. Not the cheapest option but the value is good compared to other hotels (more expensive or more dated - or both!) in the area.
Cons - If you want a tub, the rooms are on the fourth floor and there is no elevator.
- Stephen (10/5): - Nice quiet location, but within short walk of restaurants, etc. Very peaceful and friendly staff.
- Napat1066 (10/5): Poor communication, cancelled booking - Some of the reviews mentioned poor communication, lack of staff, bar/restaurant not open. So I tried to book via their website and had a question, emailed them no response. I then booked through Bookings.com but had a question about transportation, emailed them no response.
So the hotel may be as described by others but the lack of communication gave me no confidence so we've now cancelled two rooms and will book elsewhere.
- Lynt0nE (10/5): Great place to stay. - The Glory River Kwai Hotel was a wonderful place to spend a few days.
It is a small and very stylish hotel on the banks of the River Kwai, a beautiful location 5 mins from the main restaurants and attractions.
The staff speak some English and were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
They have free bikes for guests and
the complementary breakfast was also very good.
Highly recommended
- MartjeUK (10/5): Wonderful! - I loved this hotel, everything about it! Cannot find anything bad to say. The staff - especially Am and Mon - were wonderful. So friendly, so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Even though their English is very basic we always got there in the end. They always made the extra effort. I also liked the position of the hotel, just out of town over the bridge, about a ten minute walk but in a much quieter area. My room was on the ground floor (which I preferred as there is no lift) with a great view over the river. The pool was lovely, also overlooking the river. There are a few restaurants nearby, only a few minutes walk. The only little thing - if there has to be one! - is that the mattress was quite hard, but that is of course a personal thing. What I also appreciated is that they picked me up from the railway station when I arrived because they 'had to be in town anyway' so that was very nice of them. A great place, would definitely return!
- Fluminis (6/5): Nice views but moldy in the room - The hotel is pretty decent but i t is the little details that just didn't give us that very satisfactory feeling. We had to wait 20 minutes before we received at the front desk and could start the check in process, Mold in the room (probably some old leakage). Lukewarm bad coffee at breakfast but we could order some proper coffee from the menu at cost. A sewage smell in the bathroom. The location direct at the river is really nice I have to give them that.
I would have given 4 stars but with a fairly high price you just do not get enough money's worth
- Maradardi (6/5): Great riverside location. - The situation of the hotel is perfect, a lovely riverside location and the town is easily accessible by foot or tuk tuk. There are a few good restaurants within a few minutes walk. The rooms are clean and spacious with a small balcony overlooking the river, the beds are very firm. The staff are very pleasant and willing to help, however, we did have some communication issues as they did not speak or understand very much English which unfortunately resulted in us having to change our plans for sightseeing. There was a good choice of dishes at breakfast and everything was freshly cooked. Generally the hotel needs a bit of attention, some of the decking around the pool needs replacing, there were tiles missing around the pool, several of the sun loungers were broken and the bicycles need a good service. There did not seem to be any evidence of a manager in control, which I feel would have been a benefit as I think that with a bit of leadership and direction this could be a really great little boutique hotel.
- debranancysmiths (10/5): Amazing staff Amazing place - Hi ..knowing how valuable trip advidor is to checking before you book I really wanted to add to the great reviews about the glory river ...it is just perfect in every way the staff are truly wonderful ,everyday was so beautiful for the soul ...genuine smiles and laughter and such a peaceful feeling ( kanachaburi was the best "feel of Thailand" for us after 6 trips) ...the rooms all face the river and the view is stunning you can see the bridge to the left ...we walked there but unlike bangkok etc you can get ride there for a standard genuine price easily from truly lovely people who we ended up spending great times with ....the hotel is 5/6 min walk from everything you need and was an amazing restful experience..p.s no lift so maybe if stairs are a problem stick to ground or first ( views just as wonderful ) they actually moved us on 3rd nite as I asked if they had any English channels as i was needing a night in ( too much sun ) and they moved us down to a room that had cable ...so kind ..and without doubt best staff anywhere we have been x
- Malcolm (8/5): Great spot for the hotel - Excellent hotel for the price I paid . Right on the river just where I wanted to be in a nice quiet spot . Breakfast was fabulous with eggs done while you waited compaired to other hotels I have stayed in , we'll worth the cost compaired to other hotels in Thailand
- warons (10/5): Beautiful small hotel next to the river - This place is a gem. For a moderate price you get a big room with beautiful river view. Breakfast is not fancy but good enough. There’s also bicycles you can borrow to ride around the area.
The hotel has no elevator, so it might not be the best choice if you cannot walk up the steps, but I guess you can always tell the reception you need a room on the first floor in that case.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Exceed my expectation. The hotel is beautiful and super clean. The breakfast is not fancy, but good enough
- Ruby (10/5): Riverfront views - Great little hotel
- 739ScottM (10/5): Brilliant Hotel - A hidden gem at Kanchanburi. The hotel is around 5 minutes on a motorbike away from the bridge.
Rooms are great but the views over the river is stunning.
Only slight downside is u are around 15 minutes walk from the nearest shop. It's ok during the day but very dark at night.
Staff are wonderful and great value for money.
- metteq2015 (8/5): Great view and very friendly staff - We enjoyed very much our stay at the Glory River Kwai. Lovely view, spacious &
stylish rooms plus a good sized swimming pool. But what made the stay special was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful.
- Jen (10/5): - Staying at Glory was an awesome experience. Location, staff and service were excellent. It is by the beautiful quiet River Kwai, not far away from the main attractions. Cycling around was the best way to see this place. Bicycles are provided for guest for free. The infinity pool and all the rooms facing the river are a plus. My family stayed for 3 nites totally enjoyed ourselves at Glory.
- Pamela (8/5): Great stay - Nice rooms and property. Close to the bridge and river view was beautiful. There were some parties going on at the property across the river and you could here the loud music on the first night. Bring conditioner if you need it as they only have shampoo. Room is a bit dark but perhaps to create a more relaxing environment. Would book again.
- happygirlfriend (8/5): Nice place - Lovely place but no lift not the best location but the town is walkable or a tut tut The breakfast is-good but there is no restaurant or bar. Great pool and staff are very friendly but poor communication.
- HelsBels1967 (8/5): Nice & peaceful - We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of November for The River Kwai Festival, unfortunately this year they moved the dates to a week later, hotel is clean & comfortable with amazing views staff are friendly and helpful, couple of restaurants very close to this hotel or you a 15 minute walk or a 100 baht tuk tuk ride away from a very lively town which has lots of places to eat
- Noosa (8/5): - The location is good. Awesome staff , clean , good hotel
- efraser123 (8/5): Friendly staff, amazing view - Staff were lovely and helpful, room was spacious and clean, view was tranquil and beautiful! Pool was really nice. Only downside of the hotel was that the restaurant wasn't open the first night and upon seeing the menu the second night we decided against eating there as there were no vegetarian options. However there is an amazing restaurant next door, 1 minute walk down the road called 'Blue rice restaurant'. We ate here lots and loved it!
- Elad (10/5): - Beautiful location, very friendly and helpful stuff
- bikerjoe15 (8/5): Nice staff. Hotel not maintained well which was a pity - Hotel got nice view but not well maintained, heater broke down and sink not working well. Had to change room. The staff are wonderful and helpful. Hotel has full of mosquitos but do not provide repellent. Had to go out to buy our own. Breakfast service was excellent as they bothered to set up a buffet area for us (the only 2 guests in the hotel).
- Andy (8/5): Nice hotel right on the river - Nice clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Very good location, can walk to all the local attractions.
