• じんじい (9/5): 雰囲気のあるB＆B - 想像していたよりずっと広い部屋でした。部屋のインテリアは可愛くて期待通りでした。スタッフの方はとてもホスピタリティにあふれ、目が合うといつも笑顔で挨拶をしてくれます。朝食はフレンチスタイルかスリランカスタイルのどちらかを選べます。私はスリランカを選び、大正解でした。とても美味しかったです。通りにはかわいいブティックやジュエリーショップがあり、歩いてすぐの場所にビーチもありました。ゴールに行くときはまた泊まりたいです。 お部屋は外の光が入らないため、日中の暑い時間に部屋で寛ぐには少し暗かったです。

• Nanako (8/5): 安くはなかったけど雰囲気楽しめました。 - 部屋の雰囲気が町のコロニアルな様子とよく合っていて、ほかはずっと無機質な感じだったので、楽しめた。 階下がキッチンだったが、夜は静かになった。サイドランプもいくつかあり、助かった。 シャワーブースのガラスが短くて、外にシャワーがいかないように苦労した。荷物を置く場所が少なく、テーブルが非常美不安定だった。朝食はおいしかったが、出てくるまでに時間がかかりすぎた。

Breakfast was excellent, with both French and Sri Lankan options that were delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. • Aparna (9/5): - It was an amazing experience to be staying at Le Jardi Du Fort. Everything was excellent - the location was just so apt because we had senior people in our group! The place in itself was so quirky and very unusual in a brilliant way! All of us enjoyed our stay here. Everything was perfect! One small point of feedback - one of the bathrooms had a shaky commode. It would be great if you can get it fixed and voila, aside to that, it was just perfect overall! The staff has been lovely and very accommodative!

• Charlotte (10/5): Great two nights in a characterful hotel in the heart of Galle fort. - The location of the hotel with Galle fort is excellent, easy walk to the shops and the main tourist attractions. It’s within the fort and full of character with lots of puppets hanging on the wall, which gives it a memorable quirkiness. The highlight, however is the staff, who are wonderful, really fun and friendly and clearly get on well with one another. There’s a good atmosphere within the hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. The location, the puppets, the staff and the comfy bed.

• Eleonora (10/5): Amazing place - I loved my stay at this little hotel. I was expecting a very tiny room (the single room), but to be fair it was a bit bigger than I expected. The room was super clean, simple but had everything I needed including air con and fan. Special mention to the staff, everyone was friendly and incredibly helpful, they really made my stay special. Breakfast is fantastic! The only thing to flag is that the windows face a balcony, not the outside, so you don't really get a view. And the toilet was only separated to the rest of the room by a small wall - so if you need maximum privacy that's something to consider. But for staying in Galle 2-3 days it was just perfect!

• Catalina (10/5): - We spent one night in Le Jardín du Fort and it was lovely. The location is absolutely incredible and the staff working here are all so lovely and welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed from the start to the end and provided us with the best service. Would recommend this place to anyone. Rooms are lovely and clean with hot showers and working air con. The vibe of the place is also very nice. The breakfast was excellent.

• Joanna (10/5): Charming place with wonderful staff and fab location. - Such a charming place to stay. Loved the quirky style, lovely rooms and kindness of all the staff we met. Sanjay in particular was really attentive and helpful to us. The breakfasts (& lunch/dinner options) at their restaurant “Puppets were really tasty and great value. All in all, we thoroughly recommend staying here - if you want to be somewhere with bags of personality and in the charming heart of the Galle fort area - choose here! Nothing. All was lovely.

• Philip (9/5): Quirky bijou hotel with lovely staff - Quirky and cute. The rooms were comfortable. The staff were polite , friendly and helpful. Central location was good for walking out. I had the breakfast granola bowl with fruit which was delicious. The rooms were cute but lacked space if you wanted to unload your suitcase. A couple of days was perfect.

Busy kafefront mot gaten hvor du får frokostservert. God mat. Åpen kjøkkenløsning så det er liv og røre. Hyggelig å ta en drink her om kvelden også, men mye lyd. Stort flott rom. fine fasiliteter. Gøy sted å bo på. Badedag? dropp bystranden og hopp i en Tuk Tuk til Jungel beach eller litt lengre men flott: Unawatuna beach. Det ligger en strand nærmere også, langs hovedveien. Det var mye lyd overalt for en som har ME og er svært lydsensitiv. bytranden er dessverre forsøplet og det er trist. Plast ligger over alt. Her bør byen og hotell gå sammen og ta affære.

• Adam (8/5): Très bel hôtel - Bel hôtel dans une magnifique demeure coloniale. Le personnel est très accueillant. La chambre est grande, la literie très confortable. Tout est très propre. Nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant mais le PDJ était excellent ! La communication était fluide et nous avons eu toutes les infos avant notre arrivée ! La chambre dans laquelle nous étions sentait parfois les égouts à cause de la salle de bain. Pour une nuit c'était supportable.

• santiago (9/5): - Hem tingut una estada fantàstica, el personal molt atent i sempre ajudant-he en tot el que necesites, la habitació genial, espaiosa, neta i confortable, el berenar bonisim amb molta varietat per escollir. En resum el recomano 8 de fet si torno a Galle segur que serà la nostra elecció.

Did not bother us as a family, but the toilet was not completely sealed off from the room we stayed in which could be an issue for some who want more privacy.
• John Henry (9/5): Boutique hotel within the fort, with a French feel. - Location within the fort, 100 metres from the wall. Exceptionally friendly staff in hotel and adjoining restaurant. Great breakfast… I went for the “Full French”. I stayed in room 1 on the ground floor. I had expected to have a view from the window, but the window — when opened — showed a small area with some potted plants with very little natural light, and also the path for waiters and other guests to walk past en route to the kitchen and bedrooms. To put a positive spin on this, I had amazing sleeps as the room had no light coming in to it.
• clare (9/5): - The character of the place is amazing. So chic so french :) Our room was gorgeous and plenty spacious for 2 peeps. The coffee was great and presented beautifully. We loved our stay here and the staff ensured all of our needs were met with big smiles and gratitude. Dont be offput by the overzealous email re the rules - once you arrive you will understand their reasoning.

He leído comentarios q dice q no tiene ventanas hacia el exterior pero para nosotros eso no fue un inconveniente , tiene ventanas q dan a un pasillo pero siempre las teníamos cerradas, es una antigua casa colonial con mucho encanto y techos altos. Ropa de cama y toallas súper limpias y ubicación en pleno centro del forte pero habitación silenciosa, para mi muy importante. Gracias al encargado Sanjaya y al dueño, muy amables con nosotros. Repetiría sin duda.

• Claes (10/5): Family nights in Galle - A small and chic boutique hotel inside Galle fort. Smart solution to be able to fit entire family in one room. A real experience with nice decorations and design. Note that our room had no windows towards the outside, but that was no problem. Breakfast was really nice. -

Nos ofrecieron una habitación mejor que la que habíamos reservado al mismo precio y sobre todo dar las gracias a Sanjaya que madrugó para abrir antes de hora la cafetería y servirnos el desayuno. El restaurante del hotel está muy bien.

We arrived early expecting not to be able to check in until later, the staff were very accommodating and we were able to go to our rooms on arrival. Breakfast was great, and affordable, the beds were comfortable, location was perfect for everything we wanted to see.

• Monika (7/5): Super Lage - Sehr bequeme Betten, auf der gesamten Rundfahrt haben wir kaum etwas vergleichbares gehabt. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Wir mussten nachts abreisen zum Flughafen, ein Mitarbeiter ist extra aufgestanden, um sicherzustellen, dass wir hinauskommen. Die Lage in Galle ist perfekt, direkt an Geschäften und sehr nah zum Meer. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer mit einer kleinen Treppe nach oben. Die Treppe ist sehr sehr klein. Für kleine Kinder ungeeignet. Für größere ist oben alles zu niedrig. Unser Sohn konnte nicht aufrecht stehen. Überhaupt nicht gefallen hat uns der Sanitärbereich: Toilette und Dusche sind durch Schwingtüren zu erreichen. Das Waschbecken befindet sich im Raum. Privatsphäre beim Pinkeln gibt es so gar nicht. Mit pubertären Kindern eine schwierige Situation… .
• David (7/5): Cute venue and great location though very pricy for Sri Lanka - Terrific location, very cute with lots of puppets. We had the family mezzanine, which was nice. The staff was friendly. You can pay by credit card. It's a bit pricy, breakfast was not included so we paid for it and it was not as generous as elsewhere in Sri Lanka.
