Guest Reviews
- MATTHEW (2/5): - Well first off it was nasty found a gun in there (have 2 small kids). The shower was dirty shower head broke
- John (2/5): - Smoking room, dirty
- Lyle (4/5): - Poorly maintained property. Missing toilet paper spindle, black material on floor of bathroom. Some bugs present. Overly expensive on football weekend. Minimal soap and shampoo for two people.
- William (6/5): - The staff was terrific, the beds were clean, but the carpet needed vacuuming and the bathroom around the toilets were dirty.
- Darius (4/5): - Ice machine had bugs no hot water
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty Room. Roach bugs crawling around in the bathroom.
- Brittany (2/5): - Will kick you out and call the cops if you have more than two people in your room they are mean would not recommend staying here
- Stephen (8/5): - Very clean. Staff was cordial and helpful. Bed was hard as a rock but slept well second night. No USB plug in entire room. Think 1980 decorum. TV, Refrigerator, Microwave... Convenient.
- Rhonda T (6/5): - Pretty basic. The bed was very hard. And the room was a little smelly.
- Jeffrey (2/5): - Both Expedia and property are not worth your bisiness
- Patrick (10/5): excellent Spartan room - A clean, well-lighted place. My one issue was solved immediately and with courtesy. I will stay there again, if I go to the same conference next May.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was not a clean room and had water on the floor in the bathroom. Was not worth the $245 a night price even if it was during Alabama’s graduation weekend. Why are hotels allowed to raise prices for special weekends?
- Roy (8/5): - For a Budget inn and the price, it is a good deal. Rooms are a little outdated but the linens are clean, the air conditioners work great and are loud enough to drown out the major thoroughfare. Clean property, friendly staff and safe and secure.
- raven (10/5): - I love staying here. It the best.. and the employees are so friendly
- Chadwick (2/5): - The tv only had a few channels and the room looked dingy. Bathroom didn’t look so good either
- Susan (6/5): - When I checked the sheets before actually bringing our stuff in I noticed the sheets were very dirty. We ended up just sleeping on top of the blankets because the sheets were dirty. Also the booking was for 4 people and was only given 2 towels. Housekeeping did not come to the room at all while we’re there for 3 days.
- Matthew (6/5): - toilet seat missing screw. Shower lever came off when I turned it. Place desperately needs capital improvements. I guess you get what you pay for
- Pam (2/5): - Keep
- Justin (4/5): - Room wasnt very clean. Dead bugs in bath tub, mold on shower curtain. It was a smoking room but had a extremely srong marijuana smell. Everyone isnt a drug user.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Dated but quiet
- Adam (6/5): - Place was fine and inexpensive. Good ac. Beds were super uncomfortable
- Terry (8/5): - I was looking for a clean room and good bed and AC for a few days and it fit perfectly. Tv was a little small but it didn’t really matter.
- Nancy (2/5): Don’t try to save a buck staying here - We were put in a terrible room in the back corner with a view of old toilets. The a/c wasn’t on. The door didn’t fit you could see light all the way around it. There was dirty underwear behind the bathroom door. Mattress was terrible. I just left. I msg the hotel and they did offer to switch me but I was already out. They could keep my money. Why put a person in such a room to begin with. The upside the staff was very friendly
- Katherine (6/5): - People standing outside on the property late night
- Felicia (8/5): - Alright
- Felicia (10/5): - Okay
- Gordon (8/5): - It was clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Didn't stay because of unsafe conditions and room was not clean or my room I booked wasn't available
- Larry (2/5): - The night shift was the worst experience ever.
- Denise (2/5): - The floor was filthy, there were roaches, and the next door people were yelling and slamming the doors.
- Katherine (10/5): - It is very quiet
- James (2/5): Better conditions in a war zone! - Toilet when flushed would back up and almost overflow, then after 30 minutes you could try to flush again to no avail. The bed was like sleeping on a piece of plywood. I slept better in some of the places i was in in Iraq and Afghanistan in the desert!
- Sam (2/5): - Nasty
- Dan (6/5): ok - meh
- Blair (4/5): - Property was run down
- Charles (2/5): - Everything was cool but not for 90 a night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bed is a brick - Staff was excellent!! Bed was absolutely hard as a rock eith zero give, probably would have felt the same to sleep on floor. Shower curtain was to short and flooded the bathroom when used. AC sounded give out and was clanking had to turn it off to attempt to sleep
- Bobby (10/5): - My favorite
- Robert (6/5): - The bed was hard, no coffee maker in room, bath towel was stained, bathroom door frame showed signs of water damage and substandard repair, and no hot water.
All that being said it served my purpose for a one night stay on an expensive University of Alabama weekend.
- Eric (10/5): - Perfessional
- Terry (2/5): - Trash on floor. TV did not work. Bathtub had mold growing in it. Bed mad a popping sound every time you were on it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hotel - My stay was great
- Thomas (8/5): Clean, Friendly & Budget Conscious! - Granted, it is an older property, but it is also very budget friendly. The room was quite spacious and suited our needs perfectly. Definitely worth taking a look at if you were budget conscious and just want something that is clean and in a good location. Front desk service was very congenial with our late check in. Friendly staff.

- April (10/5): - Sweet
- April (10/5): - They are so sweet
- Wyndi (2/5): - The room was nasty, towel in floor to catch water from leaky faucet, the handle to the shower came off in my hand, there was something smeared on the walls, half done wall repairs & furniture/bedding was something out of the 90sz
- Eric (10/5): - Perfessional

- April (10/5): - Good people
- Michael (6/5): - Staff was nice but room had bugs over the night. Beds felt like a brick. Fine enough for one night but that's it.
- Guy (6/5): - Average
- Sreenivasulu (4/5): - Nothing is good inside rooms. Everything is not clean, not working.
- Anita (2/5): - The room stunk so bad. I hated being there. We bought pillows because I wasn’t sleeping on theirs. They couldn’t pay me to stay there again!
- Vicki (8/5): - The only problem I had was that the people who seem to be residents long term, turn the area we were staying in into a night club!!! They were intoxicated and loud!!
- Fernando (8/5): - Clean room
- Rick (2/5): Disappointed - State Health Department will be notified this week.
Black mold in shower that was not installed correctly.
Hollow metal base made crashing sound REGULARLY as we tried to sleep.
Needed a good cleaning, and towels IN the bathroom.
One other reservation, and no walk-ins should have told us something was up.
- Natalie (8/5): - The area is ok there are a couple of restaurants close by. The attendant was nice. The motel could be remodeled. I also liked that it’s a smoking hotel. The bed was a little hard
- Verified traveler (2/5): A very bad experience - This was a terrible stay, unfortunately. There was a room on the other side with a man yelling all night long. It was frightening. Neither my television nor microwave worked. The towel bar in the bathroom was no longer on the wall. I was extremely disappointed and will not stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Has the potential, needs the work to be done. - The bathroom needs repair, ac would make very loud banging each time the condenser would cycle on.
- Stephanie (8/5): - Almost everything I can hope for in a budget minded hotel. Comfortable room, good AC, nice TV with DirecTV, good water pressure and plenty of hot water, quiet, no bad smells in the room, comfortable bed with nice bed coverings and pillows. Only small negatives - room was clean and swept but floor could have been mopped a little more and no ice machine. But would happily stay there again.
- Vincent (10/5): - Good friendly and very helpful would recommend
- Natalie (6/5): - The property needs to be updated
- Robert (6/5): - Good location. Clean room
- Anthony (10/5): - always a great place to stay
- Misty (4/5): - Liked that it was quiet but didn't like the way the staff was rude
- Judah (2/5): - Terrible staff
- raven (10/5): - Overall Wonderful
- Eric (8/5): - Perfessional
- Gary (4/5): Stay somewhere - anywhere - else - Motel was dirty, Floors were sticky, faucets constantly dripping, didn't even take a shower there as it was disgusting. Mattress may have been original from the 1990's - extremely lumpy and hard - like trying to sleep on lumpy plywood. Ancient flat pillows, and 2 super thin worn out small towels. Noisy as well - almost forgot, the fan in the bathroom (comes on with the light) should have a warning label about hearing damage!
Stay far away from this Budget Inn. The only positive was that they were in Tuscaloosa, and had rooms for under $200/night graduation weekend. I would've stayed in Birmingham had I known the deplorable condition of the room beforehand.
- LaGina (10/5): - Great service
- Greg (10/5): - Convenient location. Friendly staff. Very accommodating.
- Isra (8/5): - Clean and quiet
- Lisa (4/5): Loud - This was our 3rd stay here. We really only needed a place to lay down, but it wasn't good this time. The heater worked great, but was VERY loud. The bed is on a metal frame that sounds like a dumpster being dropped when it moves. Got very little sleep because of those noises. We won't stay here again.
- Treenalea (4/5): Extremely disappointing - Extremely disappointing. No real breakfast. Toilet kept backing up. Not in convenient location. Definitely would caution other travellers from out of town to do their research.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There was a loud banging noise outside of my room the whole time I was there. I called the office three or four times but no one ever did anything regarding the noise
- Vickie (4/5): Disappointment - The toilet Not securely attached to floor, matteress cover full of pee stains, shower curtain needs replaced...needs updated. Sheets look horrible
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Towel had yelllow spots
Sheets were not clean
Requested no smoking room but received smoking.
Bathroom toilet leaking with md on the wall
- Kristin (2/5): - It was filthy. Towels were thin and tiny, hasnt been cleaned. No box spring on mattress, water seepage in the bathroom on floor from toilet and tub. This is an awful property. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Asked for a non smoking room. However, the room smelled like smoke, and there were cigarette burns on the sheets.
- Lawanna (6/5): - The towels were dirty and dingy. The bed is hard and pillows too small
- James (8/5): - Economical, motel-style accommodations. Conveniently located near the airport and within walking distance of several fast-food options. Basic furnishings and amenities but clean. Manager personally picked me up at the airport and got up at 6:00 a.m. the next morning to take me back! Not the sort of accommodations sought for a weekend getaway, but an outstanding value for overnight travelers.
- CAROLYN A (2/5): - Only because only thing available during AU graduation!! This place was a pure dump! Stench from Smoked filled room took my breath! Stained bed lining, filty stained way out dated furniture, rust out rails to hang cloths, just nasty! We bought bedding for both beds for the 2ngts & lots of air freshner. The office personel friendly and charged $25 for early checkin. Graduation at 1:30 pm & check in at 4:00 coming from airport had no choice but to pay!
- Cheryl (8/5): - It was convenient could have been cleaner
- Robin (2/5): - First, I asked for hotels that provided breakfast…. We were told at the time to check in, this was not available… i would not have chosen this motel, had I known. The lady that checked us in, acted like “sorry, covid…. Oh well”. No…. BAD ADVERTISING!!!!!
The bed was hard as nails and on a metal paneled frame. Every time someone got up, the metal panel made a loud noise. The pillows…. Flat as heck pillows…..
shower and toilet leaked…. For the amount of money…. Expected it to be not so good….but come on….. still got us for $175+ a night
- Tatiana (2/5): Attention needed - It was just horrible. The worse hotel I have ever encountered. I need to speak to someone for some sort of refund. This was just robbery.
