Guest Reviews
- Terry (6/5): It was good. - It was a great location. The staff were friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Did not have a breakfast which was advertised on google. It was a grab and go.
- Barbara (7/5): It was a good stay. - The grab & go breakfast was a great idea.
The staff were great & very friendly. Convenient to nearby restaurants. The toilet stool rim was loose so you had to be careful getting up from it. It's a very low toilet & not conducive to men sitting down on it! I think, it needs a taller toliet.
- Jimmy (9/5): good over all - ok hot
- Jennifer (10/5): - I liked the ease of getting in and out. Close to some restaurants. Close to Mt. Rushmore and other attractions. Quiet. We lived the sack breakfast. It was great to have water and juice on our touring, as well as a snack.
It was clean, well equipped. The doors could use something, so they don't slam when you go in the room.
- Carleen (6/5): We were comfortable enough for sleeping overnight with an early rise & exit. - Easy access; easy to find; sufficient parking; friendly check in staff; good WiFi connection; Tub faucet leaked; toilet ran unless jiggling handle; carpet smelled a little ‘stale’;
- Sandra (9/5): -
- Filomena (8/5): Great place to stay if you want to be near Mount Rushmore. The bed was comfortable - It was quiet and close to everything. The bed was comfortable The carpet felt damp needs to be replaced. The person next door kept letting the door slam but that’s not hotel’s fault.
- Madeline (7/5): Easy stay… bring your own breakfast - Easy check in, perfect location next to food and Mount Rushmore. “Breakfast included” is a brown bag of random food.
- David (10/5): -
- Wanda (6/5): It was ok. - BRown bag breakfast was terrible. We had a dog and no where on the third party website was it indicated that the motel was not pet friendly. No one asked as we checked and I only knew when I saw the No Pets on the reader board after we had moved in. Our dog spent a rainy night in the car which got wet because we cracked the windows for air circulation. No Pets should be well advertised.
- Janice (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to book directly with place. Staff were great would recommend to travelers - The location
The room
The bed
The staff Grab and bag breakfast
The shower dripped all night. Did share with maintenance so it could be fixed
- Mungle (9/5): - You could see Mt. RUSHMORE MONUMENT from the street where we were staying. On the outside of the town walking distance from everywhere
- Kojiro (10/5): - Very reasonable. Good location.
- Rick (10/5): - Close to area attractions
- Irene (7/5): - prima accomodatie, perecte lokatie. Het ontbijt was een zakje met inhoud wat je smorgens af kon halen. Dat hadden ze ook de avond ervoor klaar kunnen zetten dan hadden we er smoregens niet op hoeven wachten.
- Laura (3/5): Horrible. Would never recommend to any body - Not much Dirty and there continental breakfast was a bag full of stale stuff. Actually seen them recycle the food people did not eat back to the bags. One of the bags we got also had a bite out of the honey bun
- David (7/5): - Great location They weren’t honest about offering free breakfast, it was a grab and go breakfast in lunch bag
- Larry (7/5): -
- Wesley (4/5): - Toilet was small
- Christine (9/5): Good location for Mount Rushmore and Keystone attractions. - Location in Keystone, walkable to restaurants and things to do.
Spacious room. Good amenities. Room didn’t have a proper window, only one covered over that used to look at pool. So room was dark, needed lamp all the time.
- Kevin (10/5): - Access to downtown Keystone was so easy...walkable... but key access to the Monuments was a few minutes away... center of it all and for a great price... Good Times...
- 718teresag (8/5): Was fine for what we needed, but no internet - We needed a motel room last minute just for 1 night while in the area & they had one available. It's an old hotel, very basic, nothing fancy at all, hasn'tbeenupdatedsincewho knowswhen...but our room was clean, bed was pretty comfy (way better than what we expected), hot water for showers, microwave, mini refrigerator. It was very quiet, we heard no noise at all during the night, & we liked the 'grab-&-go' breakfast the next morning...it's a good idea, actually. Staff was friendly. Internet didn't work at all, which was the main drawback, especially if you were staying more than 1 night & really needed internet access. I've found that to be the case at pretty much every Super 8 I've ever stayed at...no internet access, even though they advertise as having it. What's the deal, Super 8??
- SUNG YONG (8/5): - Close to Rushmore Mount
Close to shopping Area
- reeves (4/5): -
- Roxanne (10/5): - Easy, nice, comfortable
- robin (10/5): - Definitely staying here again
- robin (10/5): - Have stayed here many times always clean and wonderful staff
- Ginger (2/5): - We were miss led about the quality of breakfast. We received a paper bag with a muffin and water in it for breakfast. The decking was in poor repair over all not a good value for the money. Disappointed!
- Scott (7/5): great location - great location and well priced, friendly lady at check in breakfast was just a bag with a few items in it so had to go buy breakfast somewhere else
- Gail M (7/5): -
- Ryals (9/5): -
- Michael (9/5): - Decent hotel Breakfast was not great. A brown bag Breakfast was a surprise
- Thomas (10/5): - I like this place simple and clean
- Ferdinand (6/5): Room was ok but has some smell. Wifi signal was none that I can not connect. - It was close to Mount Rushmore Memorial. Wifi sucks! No signal at the very end room. Breakfast was not really that great for brown bags. Its an ok place to stay only because it is close to the Mt Rushmore Memorial.
- Erik (9/5): -
- Christy (6/5): - The beds were uncomfortable but the service was excellent and the convenience was great! Hopefully they will get better beds or next time I am bringing an air mattress!
- Rainer (8/5): War nah am Ziel; Übernachtung ok; Frühstück verbesserungsbedürftig - Die Lage Das Frühstück
- Nicolas (8/5): -
- Marcum (10/5): -
- Alatorre (7/5): - Good location close to the monument frienly staff offer us a different room. bathtub needed to be clean
- Rita (10/5): - Great grab and go breakfast
- Margaret (8/5): - Clean and new mattresses
- Terry (7/5): Great base camp for the area - Great location Smell from the garbage of the restaurant next-door
- Vladimír (7/5): - Hluk ze silnice
- Jeff (10/5): - The motel was clean and quiet. Numerous food options at the other end of the parking lot. Within walking distance of attractions, restaurants, shops, displays, and things to do. In addition, it was the cheapest place I could find but did not sacrifice quality. A welcome surprise.
- Didik (10/5): -
- patty (10/5): - Clean room, nice location and very friendly and helpful staff.
- Mark (10/5): Outstanding.. - Everything was just great!!!! Not a thing 😊
- Brian (10/5): - Limited parking for motorcycle trailers
- Pamela (1/5): NEVER AGAIN! - There was a sign in the room that stated breakfast was not their strong suit and they recommended eating somewhere else. The plumbing didn't work and the sheets had blood on them.
- K3287FRaprilp (8/5): Family Vacation Stay from Canada - We had the suite for a family of 4 lots of room. Dated but clean. Staff were super nice and helpful. It was located on a nice strip close to food and shopping. Recommend staying here! Only downfall was the internet was down and after a long travel day it would have been nice to not use our data.
- patty (8/5): - I liked that it was within walking distance of everything. Very friendly staff.
- Jill (10/5): - We had a room with 2 beds and it was a very large room! Not crowded at all. Pillows were amazing. Bed was very comfortable. Loved the sink/large vanity area separate from the toilet/tub-shower. Clean. Breakfast was a "grab-n-go" bag. We loved that....came with a large water, choice of granola bar, large muffin or danish, peanut butter crackers or Goldfish crackers, fruit cup & orange juice! Plenty to keep you going until lunch. Staff were all super nice. If we ever needed anything we just asked the front desk. Steps away from lots of eateries/shopping. Would definitely stay here again.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- April (3/5): Poor - location beds, office closed at 11 pm, paid 140 for a old trash place, no breaksfast,
- Sheila (7/5): Good - Everything is within walking distance. Clean. Sack breakfast is not considered "free breakfast" and is false advertising in my opinion
- Roberta (10/5): - Staff was amazing and friendly. Would definitely recommend
- Susan (8/5): Very good - Closeness to restaurants & Rushmore monument. The breakfast was not what was expected
Grab & go bag. Not a breakfast
- Ronnie (5/5): Passable - Location No pool. Terrible breakfast
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good -
- Losanpirabu (7/5): Good -
- Liaquat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (10/5): - One of the closest hotels to Mt. Rushmore, there are a few restaurants nearby. Parking lot would be tight for big trucks, trailers. Provided towels to clean motorcycles in a bucket next to the office!
- Shasta (8/5): Very good - Convenience for dining was excellent. Shopping within walking.
- Wendy (4/5): - Hotel was run down and dirty.
- Timothy (10/5): Nice. - Nice.
- Charles (4/5): - Overall the room was okay. Outdated but clean. Pull out sofa bed was missing springs and very uncomfortable. We left at 10 am for the day, returned at supper time to our door being open. Room service neglected to shut it after cleaning. Nothing was missing thankfully. Would stay somewhere else next time.
- Jordy (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (8/5): It was good.nothing special the staff was very good - Very close. The advertised breakfast included was a bag with a water and granola bar.
- laura (10/5): - I liked they provided a grab and go breakfast which came in handy heading to mt. Rushmore. 4 min. From mt. Rushmore and a variety of things to do or eat areound the area.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Worked perfectly for us.
- Robin (8/5): Nie and clean - Nice, clean hotel and very convenient location. We couldn't ask for anything more. It was a lovely stay. Even if only one night.
- Mandar (9/5): Superb -
- Nathan (7/5): Nice rooms /but the grab bag for breakfast was not great -
- William (9/5): Clean friendly employees and great location - Good location Could have breakfast instead of a bag breakfast
- Dulce (10/5): Mrs. - The hotel is right at the heart of Keystone where there are lots of other activities you can do aside from going to mount Rushmore. It is very close to restaurants as well. They also have a laundry area which is also very helpful to us. The room is spacious for a family of 5 like us. One thing is that they gave us a room on the 3rd floor with no elevator. It would be hard for those that have knee problems or those that have a hard time climbing up and down the stairs. Overall it was a wonderful stay in this hotel
- Esther (8/5): - The hotel is in a great location for getting to Mt. Rushmore with easy in and out parking. The office staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. We were disappointed in the fact that breakfast was a grab and go bag. It should be listed as such in the description so families can plan accordingly.
- Rich (10/5): - I was disappointed tat there was no breakfast offered (when I booked, I thought I had read that it was), even though the room was set up like there should have been breakfast. The second morning, I asked, and the lady handed me some to go bags. That's the only thing that I was disappointed in and not too many places to walk to for breakfast.
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Close to attractions
- Darrel (10/5): - Nice lady at desk.
- Thomas (10/5): - Great
- Lonni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carole (3/5): Poor - Old, run down, not friendly. It was clean.
- Charles (6/5): - It was close to places to eat.
- Shiela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jess (4/5): - It was not a comfortable stay. The air conditioner is exactly connected to bed and noisy. The breakfast was like kids school lunch, wasn’t expecting field trip brown bag
- Susan (8/5): - This location was perfect for everything we wanted to see in the area. Our room was clean and stocked.
- Duane (9/5): Room was clean, bed was comfortable and AC worked great. - Location to Mount Rushmore. First place we have stayed and there wasn't a small bar of soap by the bathroom sink. I guess we were supposed to go back down to the office and get some. My husband is 84 and I am 90 and climbing to the 2nd floor one time was all we could manage after traveling over 400 miles to get to the Hotel. All Hotels should upgrade their bathroom stools to the taller version, as it is difficult to sit down and then get up with not even a grab bar to help us.
- Job (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (4/5): - If you stay more than one night they don't clean or put fresh towels in the room
- Rebecca (8/5): - Clean. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Only downfall is that the breakfast comes in a bag. No hot options.
- Bryan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Candice (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for staying in area. Lobby area/breakfast not available until 7am.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (8/5): - I did the online check in to speed up the check in process, which was nice. Front desk clerk was very nice. I chose this hotel because the website said breakfast was available, but then when we got there were told it was a "grab and go" bag. Available from 7am to 10am, but the office didnt open until 9am so we were out of luck as we left at 7am. Probably will not come back because the breakfast was the selling point. Otherwise it was clean, friendly staff, and a great location.
- RICHARD (10/5): - Very easy to find and close to everything
- Ramona (8/5): Very good -
- Deems (5/5): Passable - Price Beds were not good
- Brenda (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nelson (6/5): Pleasant - Location and price. The room could use good maintenance, the beds were like sleeping on the floor very hard.
- Patsy (5/5): Passable - The room was large, 2 queen beds, clean and heater worked well and was not loud. The description on Booking said there was free breakfast. We stay at Super 8 quite often and always have a good breakfast. This time we were completely disappointed with a brown bag breakfast consisting of a bottle of water, small container/bowl of orange juice, tub of fruit cocktail, and a bag of goldfish crackers. This is not what we have come to expect from Super 8. The owners need to do better!
