- Fahd (10/5): A Hidden Gem in Cappadocia – Perfect for Families! - We had the most amazing 3-day stay at Mira Capadocia, and I can't recommend it enough, especially for families! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel is super family-friendly. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, and the owner is genuinely one of the kindest and most welcoming people we've met on our travels. One of the things we loved most about Mira Capadocia is its location. It’s nestled away from the busy tourist crowds of Göreme, which means you can truly relax and soak in the beauty of the region without the noise or rush. The hotel is just a short walk from the Kızılırmak River, where we enjoyed peaceful walks every evening. The area also has some great local food options which are authentic, delicious, and not overpriced. Do book a session at the Avanos Pottery Workshop. The breakfast each morning was simply exceptional, a generous spread of fresh, locally sourced items served with a smile. We especially enjoyed starting our day on the terrace, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. If you're visiting Cappadocia and want a place that combines comfort, genuine hospitality, and a bit of tranquility, Mira Capadocia is the perfect choice. Everything was exceptional.

The rooms are warm and cozy and provides you with all that’s needed. The owner of the hotel is a very kind and helpful individual. On top of that breakfast provides a beautiful panoramic vista view of the surrounding area. 10/10 in my opinion and highly recommended

Similar to other hotels but fresher and a better variety of offerings. Hotel is just a short walk to downtown Avanos. Ideal location. The owner and staff went above and beyond to see to our comfort. Perfect in all respects.

- Linda (10/5): Hidden Jewel in Avanos - Hotel is quaint with a lot of charm. Rooms are tastefully decorated. Very, very clean. Staff was most accommodating and couldn't have been more helpful. Minutes after I made the reservation Faruk called me in the States to find out what he could do to make our stay better. He gave us options for pickup at the airport and arranged for the shuttle service. Then he arranged our balloon flight. We didn't have to do a thing. Breakfast was included and it was awesome. I highly recommend this charming hotel, and we definitely will be coming back. No reflection on the hotel, my only regret was that we flew to Kayseri airport over an hour away. We should have flown to Neveshir which is only 25 minutes away.

Arranged for shuttle pickup at airport. Made arrangements for our balloon trip. Anything we needed he was there to help. Minutes after we made our reservations on Booking.com he contacted us and took care of all our needs. And let's not forget breakfast. What an amazing choice of foods. It was exceptional. We will definitely be coming back

Breakfast was excellent every morning. Not situated very close to main attractions in Goreme. Not close to the ballons in the morning so tourists need make efforts to view the balloons ok their own.
- Sajad (10/5): The reviews are accurate, its a great place to stay, combined with a great host. - My wife and children really enjoyed the stay in the large family room, which has a luxury feel combined what I can only describe as cave (Hobbit feel of all those who like Lord of the rings) architecture feel. Make sure you use the communal and private outside seating areas, which for me were the highlight just sitting outside late evenings enjoying the cool breeze.

It's a real hidden gem in Avanos, a lovely town by the river and just a short drive from the busier places like Goreme, Uchisar, and Urgup. - Catrin (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Cappadocia! We are glad we chose this hotel. - My family and I had a wonderful stay at Mira Cappadocia hotel. From start to finish the service was excellent. Prior to arrival the hotel kindly arranged all the activities I had requested and the airport transfer, which was paid for during our stay. The owner was kind, friendly and attentive, as were all the staff. They could not have done more to make sure we were looked after. The activities we booked were varied and were fun and informative. The facilities were spot on. Lovely clean and comfortable rooms with all the basics you would need. The rooms were tastefully decorated and there were nice outdoor sitting areas. The breakfast room was on the top floor and had a fantastic view over the town. There is a terrace also which makes an ideal viewing point for watching the famous Cappadocia hot air balloons. The breakfast was delicious and so filling. It set us up perfectly for the day ahead and what we couldn’t finish was offered to be packed up for us to take with us. The area itself is really nice with plenty of activities within easy reach by car. The town is within easy reach on foot. We didn’t have a lot of time spare to explore all of it but there are plenty of shops, cafes/restaurants, and a lovely riverside where we noticed there are gondola type boats that you can go out on the river in, probably in the right seasons (we visited mid March). If we return to Cappadocia we will definitely stay at Mira Cappadocia and highly recommend it. :) Nothing to dislike
- 118mandyg (8/5): Lovely traditional hotel with cave style rooms and authentic decor! - Lovely traditional hotel with cave style rooms and authentic decor but unfortunately it was out of the way in Avanos which meant we had to take a 20 minute taxi to get into Goreme for any nightlife!! Breakfast was Turkish style which was not to my taste but was well presented! Unfortunately the waitresses were unable to communicate in English so it was difficult to request anything! The coffee on offer was only filter coffee which was awful so we drank Turkish tea! The front desk staff were helpful and actually upgraded us as the hotel was empty! It was a lovely hotel but I would definitely have preferred to stay closer to the tourist area of Goreme where I could see the balloons flying overhead and where I would be able to walk to a restaurant to eat in the evening!

- Rashid (8/5): Very good - Location, the view, staff all very good. Very nice ambience in the morning and evenings. Room was very different, but nice. A good view of the balloons in the morning. Local supermarket, restaurants and shops nearby. The restaurant allows dogs, which can be off putting for some and allergies. Throughout our travels across Turkey, this was the only restaurant which allowed dogs. One of the guests also had a dog, which barked loudly often and early in the mornings. Not a dog hater, but expect certain measures to be taken around animals. Would also not recommend the laundry service. They discoloured our clothes. My white t-shirts and my daughter's white dress came back grey. The family room with one double bed and two single beds which we had, also has problems circulating air to the attic with the twin beds.

The location is perfect, you are in 10-15 min drive distance from most attractions in this area. Hotel has a very good access by car from the main road as well as from the Old Town Avanos. Parking is very good as well. Can't remember anything we didn't like.

I think staying closer to town or in Goreme/Uchisar would have been better and more accessible to the area for a more authentic experience. - Nina (10/5): I will definitely go back to stay in MIRA hotel and explore more as everything is reachable easily. - The location was perfect - it is a quiet neighborhood that allows one to enjoy morning coffee with the view of flying balloons or afternoon tea outside on several terraces / it is a walking distance from old downtown, pharmacy, supermarket, ATMs, shops, ceramic centers, cafes, restaurants , fresh produce stands, the river and shady park. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is exceptional with homemade food and local specialties / the owner himself is always present at breakfast to greet guests and listen to their comments and requests. The hotel helps you to book excursions with the reputable and experienced outfitters and helps with transfers. The rooms are supplied with all necessary amenities and stylish decor and details. The building itself is very unique - am old Greek house. I liked everything / that place made me so happy !

The staff at breakfast were very lovely and the breakfast itself was spectacular. Would defo recommend anyone staying there Cleanliness was good, but could have been better. The lady at the reception was kind but the guy who I think is the manager was not that kind, he didn’t seem to smile more and was not approachable. Also you cannot really see the hot air balloons from the hotel, the description said that it was very close to the hot air balloon area but it was quite a distance by car and from the hotel it seemed like little flies in the sky so if you are looking for a view of the hot air balloons then I would recommend booking something much closer

Breakfast was simple but so good, lots of choices which were all delicious. Loved the cooked to order cheese omelet. Will definitely be back.

- Audrey Archer (10/5): Avanos’ secret oasis is Mira Cappadocia - This may be the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in in Cappadocia! Excellent bed with sumptuous bedding. Super hot water on demand and spacious airy room and sitting room. The complementary breakfast was farm fresh every morning with many offerings outside of the usual continental fare. Incredible team making it all happen. A hearty round of applause for Mira Cappadocia. God willing I will return.

The owner Mr. Ugir was the most helpful host i ever came across. Impeccable service by his team in arranging all the tours etc to our comfort . We had a beautiful holiday and we credit Mr. Ugir for helping us to enjoy our holiday to the fullest. Would love to visit the place again just to experience the beautiful moments again.

- Safa (10/5): Wonderful little hotel - We stayed at Mira for a short break, hotel staff were very friendly and attentive, before our arrival they emailed & called to see if we had any requests which was nice, the staff booked us a table at a restaurant for an evening meal, even at short notice they managed to arrange tour bookings and hot air balloon rides during busy periods. Airport transfer service was also arranged by the hotel, even after we missed our flight they managed to re-book us. The room was very clean and drinks were not charged as extra, plenty of towels and hot tub was a nice touch. Special thanks to Gökhan for going the extra mile for fulfilling our special requests. Although the hotel does not provide evening dinner we were able order takeaway meals to our room. On our last night we had an early flight to catch, the staff were kind enough to make us breakfast even at 5am, very pleased with our stay and would recommend to all! Best regards Safa & Elif
