• SOBIA (10/5): - The property was neat and clean. Had all amenities needed for a family. The location was fabulous and very near to the famous Oia blue domes. Opposite view was blue sea. The host of the property Stavi was very helpful and friendly. She gave us the ideas what to see and how to get to those locations. All in all I would highly recommend.

• Li (10/5): Good view, near Main Street - The room is big, there is bathing tub, balcony, traditional cave hotel, our room is facing the sea, very beautiful, kitchen with utensils is provided. All the door and window can open with glass, that we can have sea view even we close the door, we can wash clothes and hanging in balcony, it drys in hours, lots of hanger are provided, it is very considerate. Our room is next to the road, can move to the Main Street in minutes. The reception is very nice and helpful, they help us to apply for a boat trip, that is very nice trip, thx very much. We stay for 2 nights, an extra bed sheet and blankets is provide on request. Transportation is provided on request too. In all, very good experience for our stay in Santorini. Thanks you all
• John (10/5): - Great place with excellent hosts! It looks just like the pictures. Very comfortable and in a great location without too many people passing by out front. The hot tub was amazing in the evening. Would definitely stay again.
• Krishna (6/5): Baby had a horrible time! - Our baby had the worst time. There were insects in the house, and the bedsheets were not washed properly. His face had two reactions on each side. The property and location is great, but the cleanliness could be better. Also, a lot of steps to the apartment. So make sure your knees and back are in good shape.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Warning! pictures not accurate on all rooms - Warning! When we arrived at the property there was no hot tub even though it clearly shows one in the pictures of the villa we selected, I let the owner know who just said we can move to a different apartment which does have a hot tub so we agreed but this turned out to be 15m walk away and didn't have the caldera views, although the place was very nice we felt that the first day was wasted and stressful and that the pictures need to be more accurate for the correct rooms. I spent £200 a night to have to be moved around and it was so hot we needed the pool/hot tub to cool down.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Best View, Best Host! - The property has a breath taking view of the volcanic caldera and is situated in the heart of Oia city. The best part was George, the host at the property who helped us with our tourist plans and also helped with multiple other things, including airport transfers. The property is very clean and very accessible. Perfect recommendation for anyone’s Santorini visit.

Also, a few bottles of water or some nourishment would’ve been super helpful! Also a list of local places open on eat in the low season would’ve been EXTREMELY life saving! The cell phone provided was amazing! It was so helpful. Location was perfect! A summer stay would be amazing at this location but not necessarily in the winter time. Would stay again!

Views from the windows and two balconies were fantastic, looking at sunrise and sunset over the sea everyday! Bathroom is pretty modern and cool. Strongly recommended! Also this apartment has parking lot at back. it's very convenient. In Santorini, we saw several people carried heavy luggage to climb many steps before they can find their hotels (some hotels are not car accessible).

• Gina (8/5): - We had a lovely stay at Genesis Cave house. The views from the terrace are outstanding, probably the best on the island! The downside of this is that lots of people want their photo taken there, but it can be quite amusing watching all the posing! It’s perfectly placed for all the many shops and restaurants. We enjoyed visiting Amoudi Bay; walking up and down the 220 steps nearly finished us off so we got a taxi the next time (15€ each way) we’ll worth it to sit by the sea and eat some lovely seafood. You can catch a bus to the beaches on the island and this is easy and very cheap. Stavros was very helpful and booked taxis for us. He gave us a mobile phone so it was easy to contact him. I definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.
• Mike (8/5): Great location - Wife and I decided to stay here for our honeymoon stay. It had a great view of the caldera and was close to a great sunset spot as well. I'd highly recommend this area for a stay, it has great value considering how much other spots cost around it. Two thumbs up!
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Pros: the view is fantastic, the outside seating area is great, plus you feel like you really are in a cave house. Stravos was very helpful with everything regarding getting there and anything we needed. Loved having our own kitchen, cold AC, and the place cleaned every day. Cons: The communication prior to checkin was poor via online messaging, but calling worked perfectly. The bed was not the best. The shower was shorter than average- at 5' 7" I was a bit tall for it. Also would be nice if there was a set of beach towels.

• Naomi (10/5): - We stayed in the 2 bedroom Villa and it was excellent. Can’t beat the location, right on the main drag, and it had TWO balconies- top balcony gives almost 360 degree views. This was amazing for sunset drinks and the view- BREATHTAKING!! The apartment was handy to a bakery and local supermarket as well which made buying provisions easy. Also, a huge thank you to Stavros who was there to meet us, explain the apartment, and he also helped us with our bags. Such a lovely guy- he just wanted us to have the best experience in Santorini and we certainly did. He also remained with us on the last day to make sure our departure transfer turned up. Stavros is such a kind and considerate man. The only minor negative was that the shower water pressure was not very strong at all. We imagine water is a precious commodity on the island so this may be why the water pressure is not so great. This was only a minor negative and would not stop us staying at Genesis Cave houses again as it’s such a beautiful villa. We have unforgettable memories of our wonderful stay on Santorini and we loved your villa/apartment. Thank you again Stavros and George.

Did not like how small room was, bathroom was so tiny that I had to sit side saddle on the toilet seat, amenities were virtually non-existent, and they turned off electricity the last morning we were there.
• Seng-Lai (10/5): Perfect location, excellent service - We couldn't ask for a better view and location. This place is amazing in every way. Short walk to the castle and sunset viewing points, restaurants and cafes and souvenir shops. The rooms were clean and amenities were more than adequate, especially we rarely spent time in the room except to shower and sleep. The owner George greeted us when we arrived to give us a personal tour of our cave house, explained where we were situated in reference to the other cities and landmarks on the island and answered our questions. He also helped arrange our rides from and to the airport and he was always accessible by phone. We highly recommend Genesis Cave Houses.

• Beth (10/5): - This property is just perfect for a couple's getaway. The view from the balcony is STUNNING. It is tucked off the main walkways, so it is quiet and private. Freedom and a co-worker met us near the post office and carried all our suitcases...such a kind thing. He was also instrumental in booking wonderful restaurant reservations, 4 wheelers and transport back to the airport. Was a smooth and easy check in and check out process.

Although it was hard to get to, we had an amazing amazing host - Lefteris. Not only he was hospitable in giving us the whole summary of the island, he was very dependable and helpful to get us what we needed in a timely manner. Overall, we love the stay, but most importantly I have to give him compliments for his hard work and being such an awesome host! He made the difference and is someone who is not entitled but worked hard for what he has been given.

• jack (2/5): Don't be fooled by the pictures - First off, it was difficult to get ahold of the owner, George. Get directions on how to get there and where to park. Talk about deception. When you look at the pictures of this ?hotel? the only thing that's accurate is the breathtaking view. But you could get that from any hotel in Santorini. This place was TINY. There was no place to unpack and hang your clothes. And there's no way you could use that toilet without turning sideways. Cramped. The pictures make it look like you were getting a multi-room apartment. One shows the terrace with a table and two chairs, no way you could squeeze two people on that deck. The kitchen had dishes and cups that wouldn't buy at Goodwill. Plus getting up and down all the steps to the Cave was taxing but the dog poop and trash on the path was disgusting and nobody ever cleaned it up! Final word of caution, don't look under the bed. It hasn't been vacuumed since 'Zorba the Greek' was born.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - The location is good with private Carpark lot provided. The person (Freedom) checked us in had done an amazing job. Took his time to introduce us to the island, gave us a phone for easy communication, and answered our every questions. Every patience and nice guy. Unfortunately we experienced some setback like power tripped (the whole town), the balcony areas were invaded with hundreds of small bugs/insects which I believe it’s the seasons of it breeds and lastly, we took an hour plus to look for the accommodation, no signage, google map wasn’t updated and even asking the local, they don’t know anything about the location. Ended up, we have to call Freedom to look for us to direct us to the place. Nevertheless, I feel the entire stay was quite okay. Will stay here again if I return.
• valerie (10/5): Amazing! - Perfect location! Close to all the shops and restaurants but quiet and safe. The house was very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for everyone. Before arriving I sent several emails to George (the owner I’m assuming) and he was more than helpful and never seemed annoyed at all my title questions. The best part was Fredom. Fredom seems to run everything, at least he did during our stay. Fredom was awesome!! Attentive, kind, helpful, I could go on and on. The hospitality during our stay was above and beyond! If I could think of anything negative or provide any kind of warning in writing my review, I would! I make decisions based on reviews so I understand the importance of writing an hostess review, but there is nothing bad I can say!

The host, George, was very nice and he pointed out the locations of every restaurants and stores remained open during the new year holiday. Rooms are clean and spacious and the sea view is fascinating.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing view and a terrific host! One of the best! - Terrific place for couples or solo travelers (room isn't too big). The view from the balcony is AMAZING! The room has TV, fridge, wifi, and hot water. It's a pretty memorable stay and the host is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Path to the place is a bit narrow with lots of steps (no elevators) so be mindful that your luggage aren't too heavy (otherwise, will have to hire a donkey to carry your stuff).
• Will (10/5): Perfect Overall! - I arrived at around 10pm, I got in contact a few weeks in advance with George through email to get transportation from the airport, He came to pick us up right where the taxi let us off, it was a rainy night and George helped me with a very heavy luggage. He explained everything in detail, everything was perfect during my stay for 2 nights. The room is overlooking one of the best views in Oia, Would recommend greatly!

• Rico (10/5): Spacious, comfortable room with jacuzzi - We stayed at the Genesis Caves for 2 nights. Hotel is in a great location, facing the caldera of Santorini, and a 5 min walk to the famous sunset watching. Hotel was very spacious with the bedroom in the rear, center room with couch, and then a large living room/kitchen area, along with 2 bathrooms. Jacuzzi in the front was a very nice touch. Hotel staff was prompt, answered phone calls, and very helpful in providing suggestions on things to do and see.

• Leslie (10/5): Stunning Caldera Views - The views from your own small, private balcony are jaw dropping but that's not all there is to love about this little gem. My host, Lefteris, met me at the bus station in town with a big smile. He carried my luggage up and down the steep steps of the cliff side, all the while keeping up an energetic commentary on his beautiful home town. He was very responsive through my entire stay, giving me advice on places to eat, best spots for sunset watching and even post office hours! The room, with its white cave house walls and blue doors, was very lovely. And let me just say that the bed was so comfortable- best of my entire 21 day trip. Air conditioner and internet connection are excellent. Sitting on your little balcony at night you will feel the magic of the Greek isles. Highly recommended.
• Huns (10/5): Superb view! - The first day was a bit of a disappointment since the previous person who was in our room got into an accident and we had to stay in another location for one night. They did try to accomodate us with a good place but there was no view at all. But the second night and the rest of the nights we had a great time. Awesome view, and the staff named "Freedom" was very friendly and helpful. Room was very small but the view and the patio is fantastic. It does take a but of effort to get to the cave house so if you have hard time walking up and down the steps I would not recommend! But for rest of us, I highly recommend!!!!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great 2 night stay - Really nice two night stay with Genesis. Due to an error, they had overbooked our room for the first night, however Genesis upgraded our room for the first night and then moved us to our original room on the second night. The service was excellent and we were kept updated at all times. The rooms are beautiful and a really good location with a good view. Be aware it is down some steep steps. We would definitely stay here again. The only recommendation was a minibar. We spent £700.00 for two nights and I would expect for this price there should be a minibar.
• Average (6/5): Could have been better - Beautiful view great bed. No wifi for over 50% of the time tv was a waste of time Greece religious or Arabic only. No hanging spots in bathroom only 1 in the main room. Tiny balcony no exhaust fan or vent in bathroom which is also the toilet. Poor choice of meeting point and only contact phone or internet no reception.

George was able to communicate with us via Expedia message (there is wifi almost everywhere you go in Greece). We met at the local post office. And he had someone there waiting for us to help carry our bags down to the room. It really is just like the pictures on postcards! We had the room with the jacuzzi and it was wonderful! Very spacious! We had housekeeping come by every day, which we were not expecting. This is really the perfect location! If you are going to make the expensive trip to santorini greece, I HIGHLY recommend staying in Oia!! It really is the most beautiful place on the island! The views are just unreal!
• Roger (10/5): Wonderful stay in Santorini! - Brilliant! George and his team were fantastic hosts for our stay in Santorini. Our arrival was flawless as George arranged transport from the ferry port (we were arriving from Crete) to our accommodation. We booked the beautiful cave home for our stay, but were given the option to stay in a new property that was more ideal for our small children with a breathtaking view and perfect location on the main thoroughfare a few minutes walk from the original property. After looking at both properties we opted for the new place and it was wonderful! The accommodations were new, clean (plus housekeeping came by every day!), functional; with upscale furnishings, two separate bedrooms, two amazing balcony/patios overlooking the water and a full kitchen. The unobstructed views were spectacular! We had a wonderful time and would certainly recommend George and Genesis Cave homes to all.
• May (10/5): Excellent hotel with the best views - We were upgraded to the Genesis Cave Apartment Villa upon arrival. The villa was gorgeous and the location was excellent! We had the best views of Oia from every windows and balcony in our apartment. Restaurants and shops were only few steps away. We had the best time here.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome stays.... - The host George is great! Everything is just awesome! The room, the location, the view is fantastic!!!!
• Pengjun (8/5): - The original booking was messed up -- it was double booked. So we didn't get our sea view. Instead, we got a much bigger suite that does not face to the sea. As a compensation, we got a suite with the sea view the next day, which was pretty awesome! The receptionists were great and friendly. They carried our luggages since we arrived Oia.
• JB (10/5): Beautiful Units - Very clean and organized. Beautiful view. Strategically located, close to the main view point, bus station, some restaurants and café near by. And most of all George is super nice and helpful, you're in a good hand!
• AJiaxing (10/5): - Amazing place with breathtaking views, great location! The owner George of the houses was really helpful! One of the best experience that I had! I'll defiantly come back to this place next time in Santorini! Highly recommend it!
• Umut (10/5): Pictures do not do justice of how beautiful it is - George was waiting for us at the oia post office with a donkey for our luggages. Which was incredibly useful as there are alot of steps until the cave home. He explained everything to us and was always there for us when needed. The home wow. It is much much better than what you see in the pictures. It is absolutely amazing. People would walk past us and take photos of the home as it is beautifully located. Only 1 min walk to see the famous oia sunset. Few minutes things walk to the bus stop. You will not regret booking here with George.
