- Rob Voster (9/5): Very pleasant - A beautiful entrance, a wooden staircase to the guestrooms and a stained glassed door to the private quarters of the hotel. You only see this in France. The owner, a graceful man with a careful, friendly smile met us with enough words to make you feel welcome, fit for purpose. These first 3 minutes are impressions that last. The room we were given was clean, quiet, warm and had a shower that deserves the name. In other words, everything as it should be, but seldom is. After a 20+ km Camino walk all the luxury and more. Our own decision not to have breakfast in the hotel's restaurant the next morning.
- Iris (8/5): Komme gerne wieder - Gute Lage.
- Michael (9/5): I enjoyed my stay and I would return now that I understand how this hotel operates. - Good location and good breakfast No restaurant for evening meal, also, I arrived at 21:00 due to traffic problem near Paris and was told reception closes at 20:00 but I was fortunate that there there was someone still there to give me a key for my room and explain the code system.

- Russell (7/5): Good -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional - Nice concept, friendly owners, perfect for a short stay in La Charité sûr Loire. Good value for money
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (9/5): Good Value and Location in LA Charite-sur-Loire - Good location up the hill from Centre Ville about 500m. Secure bicycle storage. Good breakfast. Literary theme in an older but renovated building. Owner was kind enough to allow us to check in two hours early. For those with mobility issues, note that this older facility has no lift.
- Dominique (8/5): Very good -
- Carrie (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed one night while in a cycling tour. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. There’s a good space for bikes at the hotel in the courtyard and breakfast was very good. The host was very friendly and gave recommendations for dinner

- Simon (9/5): Great place from which to explore La Charité and also a good overnight location if travelling on the north-south A7. - A clean, friendly and very quirky hotel just 5 minutes walk from the historic centre of this enchanting town. Comfortable room, efficient bathroom and a good breakfast.
- Fadeux (7/5): correct -
- Paul (6/5): Good for cyclists. - Good facilities for cyclists. Interesting hotel, although past its best. Problems with the toilet. Rather basic room.
- Alison (7/5): Good -
- Martina (10/5): Very special place - Beautiful in every aspect.! Where can you still find a personalized place with each room thoughtfully ( and in this case, with literary knowledge) decorated with its own theme?
Anyone, who has even a hint of interest in individualism will love this place and also the incredible town.
Very clean and inviting!
- Emilian (9/5): Very happy it was on our way,. A bit noisy early morning, no food in town if arriving after 9pm - a pretty hotel with friendly staff
- Tapio (9/5): Randonneurs - Very friendly service. Close to the sights. Very interesting city overall. No problem to check in earlier than advised. Maybe toalet flus is quite noicy.
- Ruth (8/5): It is a great little hotel with lots of character in a great location. - A really character full hotel. The host was excellent, and breakfast was delicious. It was an exceptionally hot weekend, and we missed having air conditioning. Although the host did provide us with a portable machine, which was effective, it was just a bit noisy for nighttime.
The character of the hotel made up for it, though, and as I say, it was really hot!
- Artem (8/5): Very good -
- Moira (1/5): Dreadful! Worse place I’ve ever stayed in - Nothing at all don’t book here if you can avoid it very expensive for shoddy accommodation and poor hospitality Arrogant lazy host. Gave us a dark dingy room.. not the one we had booked. Rooms are nothing like on booking.com… no light unable to photograph it was so dark.. no sleep due to essential fan since small window couldn’t be opened due to air con outlet. Rude arrogant unpleasant owner .. we had to remove MTB shoes before going in then had to wait carrying all our gear from our bikes for over 20 mins whilst he made a call ..after we had cycled all day… had he had any flooring worthy of protection I’d have understood but whole place was in a state of disrepair!
- Niels (9/5): Superb - Nicely decorated hotel. Lovely lady who runs te hotel. I found a parking spot right next to the hotel. Great coffee for breakfast, with a hint of chocolate.
- Haydn (9/5): Good spot in very interesting town - A little different in terms of decor theme … & easy bike storage
Good breakfast
- Venetta (9/5): Great authentic French hotel, very helpful host. - Easy to find, good position, very helpful host, good accommodation for bicycles, tasteful room decoration and layout.
- Helen (9/5): Superb - Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, very friendly innkeeper. Lovely courtyard for an apero.
- Michael (9/5): Very comfortable and well located. Quirky and fun decor. - Very well located a short stroll from the town centre, where there was plenty of choice for an evening meal with some great recommendations from the proprietor. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a view to the front of the hotel.
- Benjamin (7/5): Nice hotel with lovely owners - Value for money
