It was last minute but ridiculous to spend $140 on a filthy "suite" with cigarette holes in the comforters, stains on sheets, mirror busted and weird random storage closet with ulocked door. Thankful we got in late and left early so my kids could bathe. Also found a hook on my trailer hitch as of someone tried stealing my truck. Will never return

Bugs on walls and it was dirty. Went back third time and manager wasnt very helpful so we just left and found another hotel to stay in.

- Wallace (2/5): - My stay here was not good at all. First they had no record of my reservation. Instead of a 2 beds we got I king size. This was ok except the cover was for a full bed and had holes in it. No towels were in room. The TV would not allow you to change channels without doing something e extra to remote.

Broken toilet seat, TV and internet didn't work, room didn't have anything to hang cloths, security door latch was broken, no outside lights except front of hotel. The lobby was atrocious and uninviting, I would not eat there. They charged me for the room although paid by Expedia but they did credit me back. Some lamps didn't work and some shades were ripped. Room came with 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, 1 floor mat, 0 hand towel and the towels were visibly dirty. One waste basket near the door, not one in the bathroom or by the sink. There were numerous stains on the walls and refrigerator. I wasn't going to stay there a second night that I had booked. I'm trying to get refund for second night. Expedia and I tried to reach the hotel but VM was full and they didn't answer.

Stole my mother-in-law's credit card # and used it at the local Whataburger, while she was checking out the room and refused to stay. Took our money before we arrived and would not refund. People live here. It is NOT a Days Inn. It is NOT being remodeled. Don't do it.

The refrigerator did not work and I have medication that must be kept at or below 46 degrees. mold and dirt around the bath fixtures, the bed did not have a bed skirt so the box springs were exposed and the one bed covering was small and did not cover the bed completely. Carpet needed to be cleaned and the overall room needed dusting There wasn't any washcloths and when I tried to take a shower the faucet fell off in my hand. the bed pillows were so old that they were flat and I do mean flat.,

The room smelled of smoke, the ceiling coating was falling off, there was dried pink liquid on the walls, the bed looked like it was slept in, the shower curtain rod was held up with zip ties, the exhaust fan cover was missing, tiles in the bathroom was missing, and there was damaged drywall.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not Staying Here Again - CONS: The hotel was dirty with bugs everywhere, the smoke detector was gone with exposed wires, pillows without pillow cases, burn holes in blankets, towel rack was broken, curtain rod was broken, plastic cups by sink were not wrapped, water made me sick to drink, mini fridge had a terrible smell in it, and the front desk person was barefoot If you respect yourself spend the little extra and stay at the Best Western in Brewton instead.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Manager is RUDE!! - Stayed here for a weekend. The lady at the front desk after hours maybe 10pm is when I checked in and she was Soo sweet and nice. The manager (the guy) on the other hand was not too helpful and very rude. My issue was I checked out a day early and asked about a refund on my last night, he told me I had to go through hotels.com and discuss it with them about a refund as it was not up to him. So, I called and they turned around and called the hotel and he refused to refund me as I got a “special rate”, but it wouldn’t have been a problem if he didn’t give me the run around to make calls and everything. He also wouldn’t let my sister “check in” for the last night as it was still available even though I did turn my keys in the day before hoping I’d get a refund for my last night. So I basically got ripped off my last night and the manager would rush me off the phone and even hung up on me while trying to ask questions. All I know is I will NEVER book here again. Our stay was ok the only good thing about it was the beds were comfy, everything else needs to be upgraded.

Not all of the lamps work and fresh paint would be great. No ice machine, vending machine or coffee pot. It’s a great spot for a clean room and comfortable bed. We have stayed here multiple times.

Every single towel and/or rag that we were given were so stained they didn’t even look white. There were no locks on the door. Tv remote didn’t work. Dirty sheets. Only 2 paper thin pillows per bed. Smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. Just many things that we were very unhappy with…I do not recommend staying there

Staff was so nice and even checked the room, turned on tv and made sure was prepared for me. I was able to choose if I wanted upstairs or down. Great lighting and parking for safety and close to everything
- Greg (6/5): maybe 3 star m star hotel brewton Alabama - for the price i will say it was all i need for one night but if your looking for real quality i don't recommend it it had issues one the tv remote didnt match the tv wouldnt control the bathroom had mud in the floor like from a boot. bugs not cool no toilet paper holder it was gone, exhaust fan no cover paint flaking off the ceiling just little tacky if you expect qualiy but as they say you pay for what you get

- DALE (6/5): Not a 3 Star Hotel - On the Hotels.com site this is listed as a 3 star hotel. You are lucky if this is a 2 star motel. We had a late check and the lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. I have ZERO complaints about the staff. However, the Motel leaves a lot to be desired. We got in the room there was no toilet paper to be had. I had to go back down to the front office to get some. There were also zero toiletries in the room, only 1 wash cloth and a few towels. The TV, which was already on when we got in the room, was stuck on one channel and you couldn't work the channels or the volume. I had to unplug it just so we could try to sleep. The fridge and ac worked fine, so that was a plus, but I'll be honest, the next time I go to Brewton, I will find another place to stay. I hate to leave bad reviews, but after traveling most of the night, this was not something I needed to run into.

The manager kept calling me asking “when I was getting there because they were booked” I had already paid for my room and found this very strange to keep calling me and asking me this. I just kept saying I didn’t know. It sounded to me like he was trying to rent my room for a few hours before I got there. Will NEVER go back. And room was missing the lamp shade, microwave plate, smoke detector, phone. The bathroom had dirt and mud all over the floor. When I say horrible that’s an understatement!!!

The bathroom tile was falling off the walls. We had to spend an hour arguing with them to get our room cancelled and refunded. Please stay far far far away from this hotel

The bed was comfortable but the bedspread had seen better days. The towel count every day was inconsistent. I never knew what or how many I would get each day. The water pressure and temperature were great! For whatever reason there were two refrigerators in the room. One unplugged, the other plugged in with a bag of ice in the refrigerator section. I moved the ice to the freezer section. The refrigerator seemed to work fine. 2nd day in the TV remote quit working. The room was cleaned each day. Seems like it may be used as a residential facility as well.

The last night the owner said if we rebooked with hotels.com instead of directly through the hotel the next time we were working in town that he would not honor the website rate or reservations.

- Tony (4/5): Only if you are desperate... - It was Memorial Day Weekend and we could not find a hotel anywhere near the beaches. This one was an hour away, but all we could find, so we booked it. When we got there we were told they were sold out, despite our confirmed reservation through hotels.com. After a bit of us say b we had a reservation and her saying they don’t have a room, she somehow “found” the “last” room and gave it to us. This is a crap motel. The room is warm and old. Double beds only and the beds were springy and saggy. Not comfortable at all. But, the room was decently clean (except the room stank of something like someone had been smoking something in it very recently and the TV was left on, so....). We survived and in the end we’re thankful for a place to lay our heads down. The drive from the Florida beaches to here was beautiful...we were blessed to drive through the Blackriver Forest at sunset...gorgeous sky! The motel is just a tad bit into Alabama. Good basic donut place in town.

When I ask the receptionist they told you can vacate the room on mind night. They are responsible for online booking. And telling I am not paying them so they are not responsible

First I get there after booking a reservation and they tell me there aren’t any rooms available, and they overbooked because, and I quote, “the owners are money hungry”. I know times are hard for everyone right now but that doesn’t mean screw people over so you can get ahead. I was on the road for hours and really just wanted a place to sleep for a bit. Finally they find me a room and I head up there. The floors were dirty, flies were buzzing around, and stains all over the sheets. I really needed a shower so I hop in and as I’m about to get out I notice dirty towels hanging on the door and on the floor like they hadn’t cleaned after the last tenant. They had new looking towels hanging up on the rack so I grabbed one and it was heavily stained. I managed to dry off with a clean washcloth and got my stuff and left. I felt more gross after the shower and experiencing that. It was disgusting. I was able to get my deposit back but that’s it. I won’t be coming back here that’s for sure.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Quick N easy - Being that my travel time is unusual for the event I had to attend, they were most accommodating and with the exception of having to switch rooms twice, my stay was enjoyable and restful
- Militarymember (2/5): - I have never been placed in the position of writing a bad review until now. First of all, as a military member visiting, the staff seemed to pay no regard to me standing there waiting for assistance. They were discussing their personal life, their work schedule and significant other while i patiently waited to be serviced. Two, the key to my room did not work, multiple times! I went back to the front desk at least four times before the young service clerk followed me to my room and opened the door with her master key. She then tells me to come to the front desk and get an attendant to open the door for me, "EVERY TIME I NEED TO GET INTO MY ROOM". Are you kidding me? I said, "No, I'm a grown man and will not come to the front desk every time i need to get in the room that I'm renting for the night." What is this a prison cell? Third, the renovation is not complete. The bathroom shower tiles are a mess and the soap is a dry brick. Fourth, they require you to put $100 deposit down for the night. You would think that the $100 would be credited back to your account when they found out you didn't take the TV. But no. I had to call back a week later and ask them to refund my money. They asked me for my credit card information over the phone so they can credit my account. This was not a seamless automatic transaction. What kind of management is running this property? The staff is not properly trained & the company has no hospitality awareness. Sad business. Do not patron and AVOID!

They did put us in another room - which was a cleaner and the tv worked. Cheap rate - but personally I would never stay there again.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Did not like the run down rooms and building. I like the price, maybe too much for the condition. I like the staff. Only place to stay in Brewton. Stay or drive 25 to 25 miles from another town.

- Larry (2/5): - The room was awful! There was black mold all over the ceiling. The towel they drape over the tub to put on floor when stepping out..molded. Sheets dirty. The curtains were falling off rod and you either had to settle for open space on side of window or down the middle. There was a huge gap around the door that bugs were coming into room. Pretty sure there were bed bugs. Had it not been such a long day we would have left right then. We left at daylight and front desk person seemed surprised we were leaving so early. We waiting to get home to shower and wash everything we had packed for fear we brought something home with us. We traveling a lot and have stayed in some questionable hotels in 3rd world countries...this one was worse. Sadly, we were told this is the beat hotel in Brewton. Do yourself a favor and drive to Evergreen or Milton...you will be much happier. I took pictures, but not seeing a place to post them.

No wifi we are supposed to have complimentry wifi and its been down they said. We have to 2 bed and one bed is broke to where you actually flip out of the bed when the other person gets up. The complimenty breakfast is a joke. The staff have been friendly and the water is hot. The only 2 good things about this hotel.

- awilsonsebbo (2/5): Unbelievable - I knew we were in trouble when the OWNER of this establishment WOULD NOT HONOR the price that HE quoted us! Should have driven away then. My family was attending graduation. We knew that Brewton was not know for the convenience stays but this was a bed and a bathroom so.............. I called approximately 3 weeks in advance and low and behold, the owner answered. I explain to him that we needed one room for three nights in BREWTON, AL. I brag that we are attending the graduation of our two grandkids from T. R. Miller there. He seemed pleased and gave me a price of $50.00. I answered with "and we also have an AARP". He gives me a price of $45.00. On May 26, at approximately 6:50 p.m. we arrive at a motel of sorts...... being "remodeled" and I walk in to get what I considered to be a decent room for three nights at 45.00 per night, plus taxes, etc. WRONG, WRONG. They proceed to tell me that I didn't call Brewton. They tell me I call Atmore and that the rate there is $45.00. I do think I know where I call. I am a grown up. They refuse to honor my price quoted BY THE OWNER. I "suggest that they call him". They tell me he is "out of town". Funny, because they finally call him and his wife answers and he immediately gets on phone. Here is where the rubber meets the road. The owner is obviously wanting to give Brewton somewhere that friends and relatives can come and stay, some Brewton badly needs, Right? The OWNER REFUSES to stand by the quote of 45.00. I explain that he is the one that gave me the quote. I didn't pick it out of the air! Still refuses. They insist that I called Atmore! Why would I want to stay in Atmore!!? I suggested that they really didn't want me to review their lovely establishment - however that did not seem to faze them.... SO Walls were faded in places and painted in others. Bathtub was cracked and no drain cover to take a bath(would not have anyway, looked suspicious, but I had bleach). Sink faucet was so loose i actually could have packed it in a bag. A/C worked however, Sorta. carpet was clean but torn. bathroom floor was dirty upon arrival(again I had cleaner). Doors were dirty. Did have small refrigerator however I placed a bottled water in it and it froze within minutes!. microwave dirty (yep, you guessed it, I cleaned). Dusty, dusty, dusty, but....no need to say, I dusted. I will say that the bedding was relatively new but I just slept on top of the bed, on top of my blanket, covered by another of my blankets. TV had 11, yes, 11 channels and your remote had no way to just channel up or down. You got to manually enter each channel. And then of course, there was the hour long after midnight entertainment of man vs. woman verbal fighting for an hour, slamming doors, cussing, pushing, running up and down stairs. We needed Jerry Springer!! My suggestion.......Keep driving. And we didn't stay 3 nights.
- Rogerrou (2/5): YUCK! - Unfortunately, there isn't much to choose from in Brewton for hotels. This is a motel, and a bad one. The only good thing about the room was that the fridge worked. They still had the Quality Inn sign up, but it is no longer a Quality Inn. No cable (no TV for that matter). The ice machine had cobwebs on it, so obviously there was no ice. WiFi was iffy, only worked part of the time. Half of the lights in the room didn't work. Only found two outlets that worked. Every piece of metal in the room had rust on it. The carpet was was disgusting, I kept my shoes on until I went to bed. I asked for a non-smoking room, but this room had been smoked in before. I could keep going, but I'll just quote Alabama native Charles Barkley. "This room was turrble". Drive the 25 miles to Evergreen and stay in a decent hotel.
- rexbarker (2/5): Quality OUT!! - So ... OK. The room was clean, the bed OK and the shower worked. Those things are important but ... Undrinkable coffee in reception - not sure what it was - and nothing edible for breakfast. My friend's coffee maker would not drain into the pot - just filled up the coffee bag holder and overflowed. Mine leaked all the hot water from the base. My friend had a hair-dryer, and a place for an iron. I had an iron, and a place for hair-dryer. Only one 'snowstorm' channel on the TV - remote not working. Noisy a/c. 50% of the lights didn't work. Bits missing off the microwave. Both bath and sink taps dripped, and I think the cleaner was quite short as she seemed to only be able to clean the bottom half of the bathroom mirror. Dire!!
- 12kentb (2/5): Nasty - Ugh this place makes my skin crawl. Ancient TV, horrible wifi signal (if any) and no "fitness" room like it says on the website. Rooms feel dirty and cheap, definitely nowhere near a $70 value. Stayed on behalf of a business and will not be returning
- BradJBenson (2/5): Yuck - Save your money. Sleep in your car. This place is nasty, nasty, nasty. No TV remote, ancient TV, no coffee maker or cups (but there's coffee!), disgusting carpet, trash next to the fridge, broken furniture, and it smells like there's a dead animal in here somewhere.
- Kellygoleman (2/5): Brewton al quality inn - Dirty sheets no wifi signal,no key to the room had to change my own sheets.very rude.dirty dirty!! Horrible place to stay for 75.00 a night I would recommend driving the extra 20 miles for a nice room.
- 164kerrih (2/5): Horrible Customer Service - I had made a reservation for 2 rooms with double beds months before my date of arrival. the day of I called to make sure we still had rooms. Good thing I did, the lady at the front desk had given my room away and had given me a room with a single bed because construction workers that had been there "needed" the room. I said well that is unacceptable I need 2 beds in each room. She proceeded to get very rude with me and said I could call on Monday (which I was leaving town on Sunday) and discuss with her. Actaully a blessing in disguise because after reading the reviews glad we didn't stay there. We ended up at the Muskogee Inn in Atmore. Wonderful experience. Nice clean rooms and EXCELLENT customer service.

- Lilgambler123 (2/5): $109.00 LOSS. WORSE place I ever stayed. - We was working at the blueberry festival and needed somewhere to stay, to our surprise their was the quality inn right down the road. We stopped in and got the room with 3 beds and a kitchen. About 9:30pm we walked into our room after dinner and started getting ready to take showers and get ready for bed when we started noticing all the things wrong with this place. From mold all over the shower curtain to blood stains or something all over the sheets and pillows to ashes all around the bed to old straw in the drawer. We even went down and got new sheets and they was just as bad, we left them outside the door and one of the new sheets they gave us had a big stain and hair stuck on it. Awful, disgusting, horrible, nasty, terrible. We spent $109.00 for one night and couldn't even get comfortable due to the mess. Never ever stay here ever.
- infuria (2/5): Run! Do not stay here! - Filthy room, disgusting carpet, pubic hair in the sheets, cigarette smell, roaches, peeling paint, mold everywhere. We asked for a refund after 10 minutes and for the property owner's information and the MANAGER would not give us either. Rude, incompetent manager and employee. No refund. $74 bucks plus tax in their pocket for our 10 minutes of horror. Keep driving and don't even slow down.
- johnap633 (2/5): I had the fortunate experence of NOT staying at this hotel. - DO NOT STAY HERE When I went there on Sept 7 2014 I thought I was lucky to find a room on short notice. During the process of checking in I was informed that they hotel needed A COPY OF MY CREDIT CARD TO KEEP ON FILE FOR A YEAR. I asded why couldn't they just run it through and she told me they had to have a copy for tax purposes. When I finally understood that who ever stays there will have their cred card info put in a box anf kept for a year, I deceided to go to another hotel. This hotel is so outdated that they can't run your credit card through a computer. I choose not to have my credit card info stored in a box on the premises for anyone to possibly steal DON'T STAY HERE
- CaverScott (4/5): This is not a Quality Inn by Choice Hotels - I wanted to stay in Brewton which has only 3 hotels. The Ramada was a bit more pricey and swamped with temporary workers with higher rates. Before checking in to the "Quality Inn" I had them show my room. It is more likea "motel6" kind of quality, but I agreed to it. After breaking out the computer, I noticed that the Fee Wifi was a bar, at best, and I could not connect. I asked to be moved. The second room had good wifi, but the AC unit was not producing much; therefore, on to room 3. Good Wifi, and Good AC. I stayed here finally. The room was clean but is dated. Everything worked but again, this felt more like a Motel6 room but for twice the price. The continental breakfast was barely a qualifier. Being a choice member, I reported them to Choice Hotels. I was told they were "Cancelled" by Choice HOtels in March 2014 and should not be using all of the Choice Hotels promotional information (outside sign, inside signs, etc.), The check in clerk and maintenace guy who took to rooms was nice enough and provided reasonable service.
- kamg8908 (2/5): I don't see how this dump is still open. - I walked into my room, noticed the stains on the carpet and a large water stain across the whole wall. I had cigarette holes in my bed. There was a big hole in the ceiling above the shower with a towel plugging it. Cracks in the tub, mold on the shower curtain, black stains on the (clean) towels. I didn't have a TV remote. The room had a bad smell to it. This place is not worth $70 a night.
- derryandkimr (2/5): NASTY! - When I arrived it appeared to be ok. The first room we went to had a huge hole in the bathroom ceiling. The second room looked like the bathtub pain was peeling, the eletrical outlets were falling apart and would not charge my cell phone. The carpet was stained. There was pasta shoved into the sink drain. The breakfast advertized hot items. There was not microwave to warm oatmeal and only hot warm from a thermos that barely had water in it. This hotel should be closed. I will never stay here again!
- WGS1967 (2/5): DUMP - This is a dump. Don't waste your time stopping here to stay. Rooms are terrible. Beds and pillows are terrible. Coffee is terrible. This is not a CHOICE HOTEL even though they have signs sitting around. Rip off. You will not get a regular Hotel Recipe when you check out.
- 453jillp (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!! - We stay at a lot of Quality Inn's under the Choice hotels and didn't expect this. They are usually pretty nice. Come to find out this motel IS NOT part of the Choice hotel chain. They have severed ties...which explains A LOT!!!! Asked for a non smoking room and got a smoke room (we found out after the fact). It was beyond disgusting. Bed for starters: top blanket had stains, blue felt blanket under it had burn holes all over it, sheets had dirt marks where creases were. Pillows, well...one was lumpy like they had put styrofoam balls in a sack, other one was about 1" thick and flat. Stuffing was coming out of the corner which prompted me to look at the rest of it. It had black satins like someone drooled on it and it molded. Took the cover off and it was brown, ugh! Went to the front desk for another on and they gave us another lumpy pillow, all they had!!!! The tv had one channel, no remote in the room so had to go find one from another room. No coffee maker or alarm clock. Internet didn't work Bathroom was falling apart. No towel rod, well half of it was there. No toilet paper holder. Shower curtain rod was black and molding as was the top and bottom of the curtain...needless to say I didn't shower there. 3 different runny shades of paint on the walls. Just really nasty and bad. We tried to speak to the manager and was told she wasn't in. Called again a few days later and was told she'd be in in the morning. When asked what time, response was "in the mornin". Very professional. They absolutely refused to credit us or work with us to resolve the issue. The desk clerk went so far as to tell the manager that I requested the smoking room AND an ash tray. I have never smoked a cigarette in my life!!! So they lie as well. Don't bother with corporate, they are not associated with them, which I guess is why they don't care to resolve issues. We even had pictures of everything in the room. Bottom line....you are better off sleeping in your car or even a tent!!
- ksupapa (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Near the locations we were attending. Only one night .Rain kept us from the beach. It was still an enjoyable stay. Will return next time we are in the area for an event. Only problem was directions to hotel.
- samsvalleyfarm (4/5): Not a $70 room - I usually like to stay in Quality Inns, but this one is not a $70 hotel. The bed was ok comfortable, but the sheets were stained. The internet was ok. The tv was in a tv stand thing, and was off set from the bed, it was an older tv so you couldn't see it from the side. I watch tv laying in the bed before I go to sleep, so it was a little hard to see. The carpet was old and stained. All the towels and wash clothes were very stained....at least I hope they had been washed. I would say I'll never stay here again or tell someone else not to stay here but there is not much choice, there are only 3 hotels here. One looks very bad and the other cost even more than this one and doesn't have good reviews either.
- SonjaD412 (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE! SLEEP IN YOUR CAR IF YOU HAVE TO!!!! - My fiance and I were in town for a wedding. We stopped here because it was close to the church. The wedding was at four, so we made it to the room at about 3:15. So we were only there about 45 minutes before leaving for the wedding. We came back after the reception which was about 9:00 pm. As were preparing for bed, I turn down the covers and notice spots on the sheets on one side of the bed. I called my fiance over to look to make sure I wasn't seeing things. He saw the spots too. Then I went to the other side of the bed and there were more spots on the sheets AND a string of somene's hair!!!! I immdiately called the front desk and told the woman at the front desk that the sheets had sperm and hair on them and I was coming to get our money back! She said ok. We packed up all of our things and drove to the lobby. When we get there, she tells us that she has spoken to her manager and was told that she could only give us half of our money back. Long story short, I told her I was not leaving until I had all of our money back. The lady kept calling and texting her manager. Finally I told her to call the cops because if nothing else I wanted an incident report. The cop came and said that no crime had been commited so he could only write a report...which he would do later and I could call later to get a copy of. After arguing with these people for about an hour, the young lady (clearly shaken at this point) said, "Forget it! I'll just refund all of your money." This place is a DUMP! If you have a choice between staying here or sleeping on the street, SLEEP ON THE STREET!!!! To the assistant mgr Christina: When I got on the phone with you and explained the situation, YOU LIED when you said you were not told the whole story by your employee. She DID tell you everything I'd said. I was standing right there when she told you. As a "manager" you should not have put that young lady in the position you did. I was furious and she caught the brunt of my frustrations because of you. If someone tells you that they have someone else's sperm and hair on their sheets, the FIRST thing you should do is offer to give them a FULL REFUND and be happy that's ALL they want from you! If that's not enough folks, the walls had some kind of stains on them, the carpets had stains, the toilet leaked, you could not make an outgoing call, and the room smelled like smoke! This hotel is a piece of S***!!!!
- ValareeH (2/5): nasty!!!!!! bed bugs!!!!! - We stayed here because my husband was working at the local paper mill..and being it was cheaper than the brewton inn where we usually stay we chose this one.. never again will I stay here I will either make the thirty minute drive or pay more for the brewton inn. We stayed six nights on the fifth morning my husbad found a bed bug by my head! After knowing this I found about six more and put one in a zip lock bag with tweezers and took it to the front desk.. no apology or anything just a well we will get someone to come clean it ...no...burn it down!!!! Infested!!! Would not give us our money back... I had about fifty or more bites on me (the bites show up nine days later I researched it) bites on my face, hands, feet, arms, legs and trust me they itch worse than a mosquito bite! Paid too much money to sleep with bed bugs!
