- Roger (8/5): Great restaurant and lovely staff….. - Lovely buzzing restaurant and great staff…excellent dinner and breakfast…room okay, clean and well equipped! Had to ask for heating to be boosted….thought cost a bit too high based on other accommodation booked whilst walking the Thames Path.

- Katharine (8/5): Would definitely use again. Lovely 2 nights - It was perfect for what we wanted, staff exceptional good. Room was extremely well looked after and spacious. I can’t remember a place where you could turn your central heating on in your room, we were very cosy. Great It was on a main Road, so for some of our party they heard traffic noise.
- Virginia (10/5): Nice pub stay and breakfast with access to Oxford and Blenheim. - Good sized room, and bathroom. Very clean. Parking. Great breakfast. Nice pub adjoining. Used it to go into Oxford and to Woodstock (Blenheim Palace). Although the pub is adjacent to nice countryside, it's a little isolated.

- Jo Brookers (9/5): - Loved the rooms. Even though the pub is on a main road, the rooms are pin drop quiet. Lovely comfortable bed and we slept very well. The food was wonderful but not cheap. Couldn't fault the staff - they were super warm and friendly. It was a bit pricey. Both the accommodation and the food. Given the price, perhaps the rooms could offer more than nescafe sachets.

- Michelle (9/5): Return after 22 years and we were not disappointed. - The staff are amazing. The food is good - especially the breakfast. The room was very clean, well serviced and comfortable. The only mark down is the the noise from the very busy road but there is nothing that they can do about that!

- Julie (9/5): A great place to stay when visiting Oxford. - A beautiful building in a good location for visiting Oxford. Our room was excellent, tastefully decorated with a fabulous bathroom. Lovely toiletries and good sized towels and super soft bed linen.
The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful giving great advice about what to do in the area. Our room was a little chilly on arrival with it being such a cold day and they put the heating on boost for us. We only had breakfast which lived up to all the reviews. We had booked in advance to eat out in Oxford but from what we saw and the delicious smells had we had a longer stay we would have definitely eaten there as well. We booked a superior double room and the bed was two beds pushed together which isn’t uncommon however where the beds met there was a distinct ridge which was uncomfortable after a while. A thick mattress topper would have made this more comfortable.
- Christine (10/5): -
- Peter (9/5): - Excellent Our guest for breakfast made the mistake of having a pastry which cost him dearly!
- John (8/5): -
- Nigel (8/5): -

Excellent location within easy reach of the main attractions. Couldn't find fault with anything. Exceeded our expectations, would definitely stay here again.

- Sue (9/5): -
- polley (5/5): - The Manager was exceptionally nice and helpful The room had no fridge and for the price it should have done. The fan supplied was useless.
- John (7/5): Slightly over-priced but possibly that is due to location, friendly staff - Very convenient location for our visit to Blenheim Palace. Overall a clean room with only a minor stain on the bedcover. Breakfast was well cooked with generous portions. Umbrellas provided for "journey" from room to the bar/restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful Bathroom was slightly small, bed was quite uncomfortable so neither of us slept very well. My liver & bacon meal (10/10) was delicious, although wife's hake (5/10) could have been better cooked

- Deborah (10/5): -

- Susan (7/5): A pleasant overnight stop with good food. - Our evening meal was very good. Nicely presented and very tasty. Breakfast was also good. There is nowhere comfortable to sit, relax and just have a drink in the bar. It is all set up with wooden tables and chairs for food.
- Lisa (9/5): Excellent comfortable stay with very friendly staff - Room was lovely and spacious and very comfy bed! You could hear the traffic in the morning, only a minor thing.
- Sridhar (7/5): Short but comfortable stay - Breakast was good though spread was limited Greater choice of pastries and cereals
