Steve (9/5): Perfect for a short stay - It was clean and neat. The location was great in the walkable downtown. Parking was convenient. There is covered seating outside the room doors. Nicely decorated. I thought it was just right for my one night stay. But, it can't meet every need. There is no interior space to gather..so no on-site area for breakfast. The owner does offer free grab/go breakfast items.
Charles (8/5): A really nice stay in a quaint old-style motel - It was well-maintained, off the beaten path but near the old downtown, by a nice trail. It was kind of like a trip down memory lane. Our personal circumstances (lots of heavy luggage to be carried into (and out of) climate-controlled spaces, having to haul it all up and down 5 or so stairs to unit 11 was a hassle. The sink area was a little congested with two adults in a hurry. But really, nothing major to dislike.

Ellen (8/5): Great value stay downtown - Great location and easy to walk to everything. Pleasant new owner who has updated shower head, refrigerator and coffee maker. Quiet location. Bed is too soft and we rolled together in the middle of the bed. More outlets needed so a power strip would work well. It’s a small but cozy room.

JOHN (9/5): For its specs, Big Horn Motel offers what I like most ... great value for money! - Our room was ... COMPACT but featured two chairs plus a folding table for rummy and yahtzee, plus a fridge with freezer large enough for all our ice bricks. We could back up our car to 8 feet from the door. It's just a 3-block walk to the Virginian Steakhouse and Occidental Saloon downtown. The new owner Chris is marvelously polite and helpful. It's hard to complain at all. There was no breakfast but we knew this all along.

henrygaynor (10/5): Like home. - Easy to find. Comfy room, like a mini- suite. Fridge, microwave, TV, great shower and lots of towels. Nice toiletries too. Slept like a log. Great deal and super nice staff! No check out time, no deposit, great location. Would DEFINITELY return. Even the decor was comfy and homey.

Renee (9/5): A good value for an overnight in Buffalo - I chose the Big Horn Motel because I wanted to stay at an independently owned, non-chain hotel/motel. The price was very reasonable. The room was small but cozy, the bed was comfortable. The owner was very friendly upon check-in, and it was convenient to downtown. The Big Horn Motel met our needs perfectly. It is a very basic room, but that was my expectation.

Auf der Suche nach einer Steckdose erhielt ich an dem Mehrfachstecker der Nachttischleuchte einen leichten Stromschlag. Als ich vor dem Schlafengehen duschen wollte, hatte ich den Kopf der Armatur in der Hand und konnte diesen nicht mehr einsetzen - somit ohne Duschen ins Bett. Als ich am nächsten Morgen dies melden wollte, habe ich leider keinen angetroffen. Auch gab es keinen Kaffee an der Rezeption.

Lori (10/5): - We chose the Big Horn Motel after reading the excellent reviews on Expedia..Reviews were accurate and I'm glad we chose it. Located on main street, not far from downtown businesses, diners and a couple bars. This is a VERY clean "old school" motel. I think some other reviews described it as a mom & pop business. This was a nice stay vs a chain hotel. If I had to say ANYTHING negative it was the 10 am checkout time. But it got us up and going. :) Otherwise i have nothing negative. Trudy was very nice and answered a couple questions I had and informed me about the live music that was going on downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

Jim (9/5): - The Big Horn is an older motel that is very clean and comfortable. It is very affordable= I paid less than $100 for the night. The owner checks you in and makes sure everything is satisfactory. Don't expect a pool or breakfast, just a clean comfortable room.
Susan (5/5): Weird vibes - Location was good and very central to different food options and the highway without being too close. The room set up was decent and had plenty of space. The bathroom was REALLY small and hard to move around in. The main office vibe was really weird for the hospitality industry with all sorts of MAGA paraphernalia and derogatory statements about different groups and demographics. Ultimately it's their business, but it's a weird choice to be so openly hostile to half your customers when you're in the hospitality business. It's something that would have changed our booking choices if we had known that's what we'd be met with before we made the reservation.

Janice (7/5): Trudy couldn’t be a better host - Trudy was an absolute gem and so lovely to meet her. She works incredibly hard to keep her motel running like clockwork and was very accommodating. Our original room was unavailable as there had been a plumbing issue in that block, but Trudy went out of her way to put us in another room that we were able to choose. I thought that was going above and beyond! Overall good location, despite the road works which were a bit of a pain but not a real issue. The rooms are slowly being upgraded and decorated bit by bit, but it must be very hard to try and do everything pretty much singlehanded. A little dated in decoration but clean nevertheless
