Guest Reviews
- Lara (10/5): - My daughter and I loved our stay here. Minh and his wife were lovely, kind, responsive and accommodating. They arranged tours for us and were available for any questions. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Excellent showers and strong wi-fi. Good location. Would stay again. Great value for money, highly recommend.
- Laura (8/5): - Thanks for letting us stay in your home! This homestay is with a very welcoming and friendly host. If there is anything you need, Thuy is happy to help. She even arranged for us to have massage in her lovely private garden. What a treat! Because you stay with a family, some household noises are expected, but we slept well every night. Also, the power went off at times, but Thuy did her best to fix this. Overall, this is a convenient location, close to the old town, but away from the hustle of traffic and tourists.
- Sandy (10/5): Excellent - Find were very clean, big bath, wifi, and a brilliant location. My host was really friendly and helpful. Thank you and will come back again one day
- Alan (10/5): Excellent home-stay hotel in Hoi An - An excellent home-stay hotel on the edge of Hoi An's old town. Thuy was an incredible host, seeing to our needs and treating us to home-cooked breakfasts (which come with the room booking).
- Verified traveler (10/5): Thank you Minh and Thanh :-) - The owners, Minh and Thanh, are wonderful guests. This lovely family will make you feel most welcomed in their home. Location is very near to old town, breakfast is amazing and free bicycle service is a plus.
- alison (8/5): - Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The town was magical.
- KUEK (10/5): Lovely hosts and great accomodation - This homestay was really a wonderful, Minh and
Thuy was fantastic, the husband and wife really make us feel welcomed, Breakfast served was awesome, good location. Definitely recommend and would return here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Review of Minh Phat. - Great caring family. Thui (the owner), went out of her way to make sure the stay was a happy and memorable one. Good size rooms, had all the facilities, great breakfast. Highly recommended.
- Rosemarie (10/5): The best Homestay ever!!!! Amazing family homestay - This is the first homestay hotel we have ever booked and what an amazing surprise to see that their service was just superb!!! Better than the 4 star hotel we booked. Thuy and Minh was fantastic! I couldn't recommend them enough with their welcoming and warm hospitality!!! I would definitely comeback and stay again!!! Breakfast served was awesome, served with fruits every morning and you get to choose what breakfast etc.
- JianHao (10/5): Nice place - Very good host and nice place to stay at.
- B (10/5): Good value and central location - This homestay was really a wonderful experience. The husband and wife really make you feel welcomed and are willing to help in any way possible. The breakfast they cooked for us each morning was some of the best we have had while traveling.
- matthew (10/5): "Amazing Homestay" - This is a beautiful homestay located on a quiet street within walking distance to the old city. The rooms are lovely and spacious and very comfortable. Minh & Thuy are the most genuine and kind hosts that you could ask for. I was so lucky as they cooked a delicious dinner for me and always made me feel like a friend. The delicious breakfast every morning is made to order in their beautiful garden with a stunning assortment of fresh local fruits. They are the cutest family and it is so wonderful to always see them smiling. I can't recommend this place enough. I stayed 2 weeks but wish I stayed longer!
- worldcitizen (8/5): nice homestay with wonderful breakfast - It was obvious that the homestay had completely missed my reservation when I arrived. I was lucky that they had an unbooked room leftso that they could at least accomodate me . They have rooms on the ground floor which are definitely worse than those on the first floor.
Otherwise are the rooms nice and clean with fast and reliable Wifi , TV and a decent bathroom. The daily breakfast is really good because of a big fruitplate every day.
They have bicycles for hire and can help you booking tours and transport.
There are nowadays tons of homestays in Hoi An which in my opinion offer quite the same quality of service and rooms. The big advantage of this place is the location within walking distance to the Old Town , which was my main reason to stay here this time.
- Amalia (10/5): The Real Vietnam - What a wonderful stay we had with Thuy, Minh and their beautiful family. If you want to experience the real Vietnam with it's special people do not hesitate to stay here. It's very clean and within walking distance to the historic center. A lovely breakfast is served every morning in their beautiful garden with lots of advice on where to go and what to do. My wife unfortunately had an accident and Thuy came to the hospital, accompanied us to a second hospital in Da Nang and stayed with us all day. You couldn't ask for more and for the price you will not come close to a better place to stay in all of Hoi An.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Home away from home - My sister and I spent a lovely few days here. The homestay is beautiful and clean. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. We even got upgraded to a better room on arrival. The breakfast was superb. The location is great - walking distance to the main town and ancient towm. I think the what stood out to me the most was how amazing the family was. They really made sure you were well looked after. The town unfortunately got rained out and flooded so there wasnt much to do (I can imagine there is a lot more to do in the dryer season). The family even offered us a complimentary tour in the country (although we didnt land up going cos of the rain). When we couldnt get to the shops, we were made delicious dinners. They arranged for a boat to fetch us to take us to meet the taxi to get to the aiport. They really went out their way to make sure that we were safe as they genuinely cared. I would highly recommend that you stay here as you wont be disappointed :)
They also offer a wide variety of tours etc but we didnt get a chance to use them as a result of the rain but they can arrange pretty much anything for you.
- Alexander (10/5): Lovely hosts and great accomodation - Very very warm, friendly and accomodating hosts. The hosts went out of their way for our comfort, they helped me out when I was feeling a little unwell. Spacious and clean rooms. Cheap bicycle rental. Good location. Definitely recommend and would stay here again if we ever return to Hoi An
- Jason (10/5): A must stay! - The family run Homestay is spotless, the family are so helpful and absolutely lovely. They have free bicycles to use and their own very reasonably priced moped to hire. Breakfast is delicious with local and international options and plenty of fruit. This is a little gem of a place!
The family helped with suggestions and onward travel. I can't fault my stay at all!
- susanne (10/5): felt like home - will come again
- Mary (10/5): Comfortable and relaxing with personal touches - I wasn't sure what to expect at a home stay, but this experience was a great way to spend a few days in Hoi An. My friend and I had been traveling for several weeks, and found this to be a really relaxing and enjoyable part of our trip! Minh is a super accommodating host who goes out of his way to make you comfortable. Breakfast (included) was amazing! Especially the fruit plate which changed based on what they had found that day. The place is also brand new, so the rooms are in great condition and there's a beautiful garden patio outside.
How does this differ from a guesthouse or hotel? Minh's family lives there, and he's always around to chat or help out if you want to plan a tour or anything else around town. (And he has an adorable baby!!) It's definitely a lot more personal, which was a nice change for us after staying in hotels for weeks.
Location was great. Very short walk to the old town area. He has nice bikes to rent also $1/day) which we took to the beach twice.
I would strongly recommend checking it out!
