The place is very quiet, the room was overlooking the forest. Poor sound insulation of the rooms, you can hear coughing in the next room, as if in your room.

We recommend making that as part of your stay here. I wish the room had lotion, but overwise, everything met expectations.

• Joanna (8/5): - This was a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and fairly comfortable. The bed could have been more comfortable but was not the worst. The restaurant next door served delicious, creative dishes. Unfortunately, when we checked in, we had to wait almost 30 minutes for someone to arrive to let us check in, around 6pm. This was not communicated well so we stood outside waiting in the cold for most of that time. They did provide us a late checkout as an apology but it just started the stay off on the wrong foot. I booked this hotel wanting to give 5 stars based on my prearrival experience but dropped my rating due to this arrival issue. A note or more information could have been left for us. It was frustrating that we had to make 5 phone calls to finally find out that we had to wait what we were told would be "another 10 minutes" and ended up almost being 20. :(

• Andrea (10/5): I'll be back. - A big thank you to Brownsville Motel, and especially to Lori, the wonderful owner, and her sweet dog, Butter Cup. I live in the Bay Area and traveled up there to focus on finishing my memoir. My goal was to find a clean, comfortable room in the countryside with a desk where I could work peacefully--and the accommodations exceeded my expectations. Lori's dedication to hospitality truly stood out. Someone is always on the property, so no matter what I needed, Lori was at my door with a solution. One evening, she even went into town just to get me a large bottle of body wash. Now that's service! If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend staying here. For those planning a longer visit (I stayed for a week), I suggest bringing along some of your favorite food supplies. While there is a new store just up the street, having a stocked fridge and microwave in the room makes for an even more convenient stay. Thank you, Lori, for such a lovely experience. Please give Butter Cup a big hug from me!

The place is nice but the booking needs - The location was nice and the property was pretty clean and quiet. I booked a room with 3 beds; 2 twin, 1 Queen. When we arrived the only room available was a king. I was traveling with my 12 year old son and older male neighbor and we were not all bunching into the King especially that the man with me was not my partner or family, we’ve never slept in the same bed or house for that matter. I was very frustrated and couldn’t sleep at all. We had a long eventful day the following day.

Other than than limited amenities and the noise curfew after 10pm, it was OK. One can't even talk on the patio in the chairs in front of your own room due to the paper thin walls.

• Aldred (10/5): A Brownsville surprise! - I was pleased, no, amazed at the quality-price ratio of this motel. Rooms are decorated with themes ( ours was nautical) and are very clean. Management, David, was friendly and accommodating.

I did not know that which was disappointing as we had our grandson with us who eats a lot. But luckily I had a few snacks with us. I liked the bed and pillows, but there was a slight issue with the beds. The bed springs creaked. The curtain rod was missing an end which was not very attractive. The grounds keeper was blowing dust all around as we were trying to leave. Usually they stop and wait until guests have left then resume work.

One of my visits had the downstairs neighbor arguing with their guest and management handled the situation right away and had no further issues. Thank you for that!

• Alex (10/5): Brownsville Hotel was a cute treat in a small town! - The propreiter was really sweet! The room also had a unique vibe to it, as if you stepped into the guest room at a friends house. (: Pillows were not the most comfy and the bed frame was a bit loud and squeeky.

Brownsville is very sketchy, nothing to do, no where local to eat. The cafe ajoined to the hotel was closed. No hiking trails or things to do. Pretty sure most of the brownsville hotel patrons lived there. The room itself was nice, i got the "suite" comfortable beds and pillows, clean good smelling linen. I slept well. Had a.nice view as the sun went.down. 150 a night was steep. Id expect more of the.location, a fire pit with wood, a spa perhaps. Definity food service.
