Was hoping to get a ground floor room with direct access to the pool but my room on the first floor was also great. The staff is so welcoming, friendly and warm. It’s a bit out of the busy center of ubud but with everything you need right outside the hotel. Hope to come back for a 3rd time! Nothing. (Except maybe the pool doesn’t have a lot of sun)

The whole place has such a beautiful and relaxing vibe, and the staff were absolutely incredible — kind, professional, and always welcoming. Every single member of the team made us feel special. Unfortunately, I don’t remember everyone’s names, but they were all amazing. A special thank you to Yeannik, who spent a lot of time with us during many tourist trips and made the experience even more memorable.

I swam in the hotel pool by myself, it felt like we were the only people there because everyone stays in their room or goes out. We went to downtown Ubud, and it's a darling little town, so fun.

Honestly, I’ve never experienced this level of hospitality before. They have set a new standard—so much so that it feels like their approach should be studied and taught in hospitality schools. Our villa was super clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The resort had such a relaxing atmosphere. The resort is slightly outside the Centre of Ubud but is only a quick grab into the centre. When I return to Ubud I will definitely be rebooking this resort. The breakfast could be improved.

This is the best Resort in Ubud 100% - My wife and I went there for our honeymoon and it was the highlight and the best thing in our trip. Hospitality is amazing and the entire hotel staff. They provide full day service car to take you on Tours in Ubud. Our Tour Guide his name was Putr Ktut a local from Bali. He was amazing and very polite , helpful and honest. Would definitely recommend him for your Tours in Bali. Nothing really everything was excellent. However, they can improve more on their breakfast and the foods on their menue.

- Gregory (10/5): We have discovered a hidden gem! - A first-rate boutique hotel with a first-rate staff! Our heartfelt thanks to Tude, Yannik, August, Yoga, Wayan, Mirah, Asri, Warasana, and all the other members of the Purana staff, for making our 2-week stay here a highlight of our 3-month tour of Southeast Asia. The rooms and villas are spotless and well-appointed, the pools and common areas are meticulously maintained, and the on-site restaurant can’t be beat, even in an area with many awesome options. The complimentary shuttle to the center of Ubud was much appreciated. Take a day tour with Yannik, or a Balinese cooking class with Yoga. You will not meet a kinder, more accommodating group of young people anywhere. Highly recommended!

I hope they get the recognition they truely deserve. They are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is a bother and they always try their best to make you feel like a valued guest. We had a driver named Ketut, who picked us up on our arrival in Denpasar and entertained us all the way to Ubud with talk of Balinese culture and history. He was a gem. We did a cooking class with a young chef named Yoga who was very talented and extremely patient with my husband and I as we attempted the Balinese cooking. It was so much fun. I had a Balinese massage that fixed a knot in my should blade the size of a fist. The masseuse was gentle but firm and I felt immediately lighter and less stressed after the appointment. Such a great place all round. Do yourself a favour and go! Not a thing it, was totally awesome !!
- Beth (10/5): Oasis of calm! - Our villa was absolutely beautiful - a real oasis of calm in its surroundings. The bed was really comfortable and we loved the open air shower. The real gem of Purana is the staff - they are all so kind and really want you to enjoy your stay. For my husband’s birthday they gave him an additional plate at breakfast with a candle in and left a sweet happy birthday note on our bed. They were also always asking if we had any special requests, even on their special Nyepi day, as they wanted us to be comfortable. Every single thing we ate was fantastic - we really recommend trying all of the Indonesian breakfasts (white porridge with chicken especially!) and we loved having this served to us in our room. It was always absolutely delicious and VERY plentiful - we didn’t need lunch at all while staying at Purana as the breakfast was so good. We also did a cooking class which was excellent - the chef was very knowledgeable and again we had a great meal from that. We went on two day trips with a driver which were both very good - they have lots of different trips available to choose from and the car is very comfortable and has great air con. The driver shared information with us and took great photos of us at all the sights! There is a free shuttle that takes you into Ubud centre and we found this very helpful also so we could explore this area.

Total luxurious the bed comes with the net in case you were afraid of mosquitoes, but I did not get bit here. The stuff were always trying to help you. They always go above and beyond. Only 11k for a scooter with gojek/grab. Not in central Ubudbut it is quiet at night and close to Rice Fields in nature

- Akhil (10/5): Incredible from start to finish - My wife and I recently stayed at Purana Boutique Resort for a few nights, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Bali. We booked the one-bedroom villa with a private pool, and it was incredibly tranquil and private, the perfect blend of luxury and serenity. After spending time exploring, it felt amazing to return to our own peaceful oasis. The on-site restaurant was absolutely delicious. We found ourselves eating most of our meals there because the food was so consistently good. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Another major highlight was the complimentary shuttle to and from Ubud center. It allowed us to fully experience Ubud while staying somewhere peaceful and slightly removed from the busy center, which ended up being the perfect balance. We also appreciated that there were additional experiences available right through the resort, like cooking classes, spa treatments, and curated local tours. We didn’t have time to try everything, but it was great knowing those options were easily accessible if we wanted to add more to our stay. What truly made this place special, though, was the staff. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Each time we returned to the resort, we were greeted warmly with smiles and kindness. What stood out most was how the team wore many hats. The same friendly faces who helped us at the front desk would also serve our meals or drive us into town. It made the experience feel personal and authentic, and we loved building real connections with them throughout our stay. Yannik was an incredible guide during our half-day tour. He took us to see the rice paddies, a beautiful waterfall, led us through a meaningful water purification journey, brought us to stunning temples, and arranged a visit to a coffee plantation. His insight, knowledge, and generous hospitality made the entire experience unforgettable and deeply special. N/A

- Sally (9/5): A luxurious paradise set in lush tropical gardens - After our son and his girlfriend left we moved to a one bed villa. This was spacious and luxurious extremely comfortable and stafg comtinued to provide exceptional service. A very minor point the sliding doors to the bathroom kept banging a bit annoying at night otherwise a fabulous stay
- Sally (9/5): A wonderful tropical paradise - A truly delightful hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel at home, all were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and competively priced, breakfast which was included in our room rate had lots of choice was served in our room at a time of our chosing. We only had to ring through to reception and staff promptly arrived to provide service. For example to mop the terrace after it had rained. The villa and the hotel itself is set in lush surroundings which are beautifully maintained. A short drive from the centre of Ubud the hotel was very quiet but provided a free shuttle service into town. Beds and rooms were very comfortable in this two bed villa. This is the only two bed villa with private pool and when i worked it out we could have had for the same price 2 individual villas rather than sharing with my son and his partner although we wanted to share. There were only two outside comfy chairs whilst we brought two from inside the villa so not a huge problem but seating for 4 needs to be provided. The rooms were smaller than the one bed villas and the twin room (and i am nit picking here) was not quite as spaxious or nice as the double room. Overall with 4 sharing we think this villa could be priced cheaper than it was.

- Marcin (10/5): Balinese hospitality - We stayed in one bedroom villa and our stay was super comfortable and we enjoyed it very much. Design of the villa is well though, and interior was stylish with nice materials and decorations. Brings nice Balinese vibe. You can see some time passage, but it's more of a noble patina than corrosion. All You need, You can easily find in Your apartment. It is obvious it is very clean. The biggest advantage is definitely the staff. Super friendly and helpful. Even if it is corporate policy, there is a genuine hospitality You can feel. Many thanks to all the people that helped us during our stay : Mirah, Yannick, Agostin and all the people I didn't remember their names (apologies). We also used their transfer (many thanks to our driver Agung) and also had a half day trip with Putra. Regarding both we are very happy about. For a half day trip we thought it is rather a taxi, but Putra gave us a lot of very interesting information about Balinese culture. Really, we learned a lot and Putra was super helpful and flexible during our trip. Generally it is very convenient to have a breakfast, lunch or dinner in the villa. Especially when You come with a 3year old child. Restaurant is good with a lot of options in the menu. Some of them are very good, some are just good, but everything is at least on a decent level. There is also free yoga class twice a week, but You can also book private lessons and of course, private massage. Location is very nice - still close to the Ubud center, but far enough to feel more calm atmosphere. Usually we don't stay twice in the same place, but that's one we might consider staying again while in Ubud.

- Liz (10/5): Perfect! - The staff are what make Purana so special. The facilities are excellent as well - comfy bed, nice bathroom, yummy food at their in house restaurant. But the staff really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. Amazing to have a free shuttle to the centre every two hours each day and they pick you up as well. The drivers were all so friendly and happy to share their local knowledge and tips. If I'm back in Ubud, I would stay at Purana again. Everything was great!
- Sonia (10/5): - La piscine privée, la chambre magnifique, la gentillesse du personnel pour nous aider dans toutes nos étapes : room service, excursions, suite du voyage, etc. Nous avons un peu moins apprécié l'absence de porte entre les toilettes et l'extérieur et la distance au centre d'Ubud mais le premier point était compensé par la magnifique villa dans laquelle nous étions et le second était compensé par la présence de navettes gratuites de l'hôtel toutes les 2h.

The rooms were clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and there was a free shuttle service to the city center both ways, which was very convenient. From the moment we checked in, all the staff were smiling and provided excellent service. Special thanks to Agus, who took great care of us, answered all our questions, and recommended wonderful things to do during our stay. The only minor downside is that, since the hotel is surrounded by nature, the frog sounds at night can be a bit loud for those who are sensitive. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Küvetimizi çiçeklerle süslemişlerdi, yatak çok güzel hazırlanmıştı. Yemekler çok lezzetli, personel inanılmaz ilgiliydi, çok yardımseverdi, her zaman güler yüzlülerdi. Otel çok temizdi, kesinlikle böcek veya sinek yoktu. Hatta bize oda ve vücut için sinek kovma spreylerinden verdiler. Jest olarak diğer otelimize bile ücretsiz şekilde bıraktılar. Otelin gün içerisinde aktiviteleri vardı, plates için özel hoca getirttiler ve ders çok keyifliydi. Merkeze yakın bir yere her 2 saatte bir ücretsiz shuttle vardı. Otelin konumu ve etrafındaki olanaklar çok iyiydi. Dışarı çıkıp otelin etrafında market, kafe, spa, havuz gibi farklı şeylere erişim mevcuttu. Her şey muazzamdı.
