Set in a lovely garden, the accommodation is peaceful and really comfortable and hosts are extremely gracious and offer warm hospitality at its best. Breakfast was wonderful and the home is interestingly decorated with historical and family paintings and photos. We feel privileged to have stayed here. Not applicable

Breedon Hall is such a beautiful interesting house and was the perfect place to stay over on our trip back from Wales. Close to Kedleston Hall and Calke Abbey too.

- Daniel (10/5): Lovely stay with really welcoming hosts. A real home from home. - The location in this historic house was fabulous. You are invited in by your hosts, invited to join them for tea, a lovely large room - so quirky! The breakfast was fabulous in the family kitchen with fresh eggs, home made marmalade, carefully sourced sausages and bacon etc. Also catered really well for the vegetarian in the party with smashed avocado and poached eggs. There was home made granola etc too. All in all a really lovely place The only criticism would be that the bed was a bit too soft for my taste - but I love a really firm bed so this really is just me!

Beautifully decorated bedroom, super comfortable bed, fabulous breakfast made using home grown fruits and vegetables, lovely garden to sit out in on a balmy evening, safe off-road parking. - Rollo (9/5): Lovely B&B - Lovely breakfast; fantastic welcome. Beautiful house and comfortable room. Gorgeous little spaniels. The check out experience was poor - there was no one there to check us out. I wanted to use my american express card but this would not work online. I needed to use their terminal, therefore I had to pay with a different card. Unfortunately there was absolutely no one there- we tried calling the landline and ringing the door bell multiple times. Other than this point it was excellent.

- Steve (7/5): Comfy, quirky, excellent hosts, but small room. - The breakfast was lovely, the couple were excellent hosts making us feel at home. It was set in a big country house that had been restored with love. Good internet and free parking. My wife stayed whilst I went to work and they put garden furniture out and offered her tea and coffee. Tea and coffee in the room. I appreciate that I did not pay for the bigger rooms however we felt that for £135 including breakfast it was a little pricey for a 10 foot room which should we think have been a single. Part of that space was taken up by the toilet and the shower was in the room but in one of the alcoves by the chimney with a flimsy shower curtain. The other side was a small hanging space with 4 mismatched hangers. We were living out of our cases as there was no where to unpack. There was no desk for me to work at although they did offer my wife the use of the desk in the larger room. Generally tidy, just dust in the toilet. Coffee in the room however it was an open pot partly used, would have been better to be closed or small sachets. Had a nice view of the garden but couldn't see it from the bed as it was covered by the toilet wall.

- Philip (5/5): Not happy with stay would not recommend it - Room was very small , if there had been 2 off us as my wife could not come at the last minute the room would have been no good as there was no were to put 2 cases the shower was in the bedroom....? And the double bed was so tight to the wall you could just slide along the wall to get in .....? And on leave going down the stairs there was a big pile off dog poo on the stairs carpet disgusting , not good value for money would not recommend this place , very disappointing paid £125.00 a night could have got a nice big hotel room for that and I paid when I arrive up front and on day of departure got an email to pay account when I had already paid .....?

- Paul (10/5): - If you’re looking stately, refined, relaxing stay in the English countryside then Breedon Hall is the place! Sophisticated charm including personal touches by the owners make you feel right at home. Charlotte prepares you a wonderful 5 star breakfast. Sites to take in are Blenheim Castle, Stoneliegh Abbey. We caught a theatrical performance in Derby and experienced a world class Symphony in Birmingham attend by the Duke of Edinburgh. The home’s decor is beautiful and parking is easy. We highly recommend this Manor House.

- Jennifer (10/5): It was just up my street, character and style with modern comforts, do try The Quorn bedroom. - Breakfast was excellent cooked and served by the Host, nothing was too much trouble. The location was chosen due to its proximity to a family party being held in the vicinity, easy to find just off the A42 and close to some interesting places to visit i.e. Calke Abbey, Staunton Harold and Chatsworth further afield. Nice pub which served excellent food 5 minute walk down the drive but do book in advance.

We were staying there because of a wedding in the area and Charlotte even offered to drive us there.. how very kind. Our little dog Jenson was also given special attention when he stayed with the family all day. He had a “woof’n “ great time!🐾 There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like !

- Brilliance (9/5): Great stay and lovely hosts - Lovely hosts and a very sociable atmosphere created at this beautiful and grand house, Breakfast was delicious. The gardens made a great view from my bedroom window. Fresh milk for my cuppa was one of those little extras that make a difference. I passed some beautiful and very grand bedrooms. I'm not complaining as the bed was comfy however, the room I stayed in was only small. It still had everything I needed but I'd be tempted to see if one of the grand rooms was available if I return... I was in the area for work and wouldn't hesitate to return.
