Shuttle service and help with our snow gear pick up was great The photos of YUKI don’t do it justice . The r little cabin was great , better the. Pics Although not stairs up and down so you need to be able to use stairs We had trouble using washing machine and microwave due to language barrier Besides that it was just right
- Stephane (10/5): Gorgeous chalet and lovely staff - Just back from the Morino alps retreat chalet: The place is great. Nothing to say about the chalet itself, the pictures speak for themselves, but this is what I can add: It is clean, spacious, fully equipped kitchen with enough stuff to cook and serve 6~8 persons – so not just a couple of coffee mugs and spoons as it is sometime the case. This is a place where you can have dinner at night instead of going out all the time. The place also includes a Bluetooth speaker a TV with an Apple TV device, which is also very convenient if you want to watch something else than the Japanese news. The place ticks all the boxes you would expect from a place in Japan: central heating from the floor, very comfy bed, a shower and a bathtub, big wardrobes in each room, etc. The big balcony also adds to the convenience – if you are a smoker, or simply if you want to enjoy your breakfast in fresh and cold air facing the forest One thing to note: This is not a ski in/ski out, you have to walk for 5~8mns to reach the slopes. But the best part of it is probably the staff. The guys are so helpful. They will give you a lift here or there anytime as long as they are available. They literally took us to/from the slopes every day, also brought us to the supermarket when we needed, picked us from//dropped us to the train station etc. This is not some sort of included taxi service that you pay for in the first place, this is pure kindness and complementary treatment. They don’t have to do this, but they do it – just to make your life easier.

- Tom (10/5): Great place to stay in Happo-One - Very close to Happo-One - walk down the track and arrive at the gondola station. Same for home. Getting to the other resorts means walking the 6 minutes to Hotel Toku and the bus goes from there. There is no dedicated drying room but we did not find it a major problem.

Chalet sleeps 6 but there weren’t enough mugs and only one wine glass.There’s a spot for snow gear but it’s not really heated so boots etc didn’t completely dry

However, not very walkable to restaurants etc. Probably need a car or hire taxi . Staff communication was excellent. The villa has everything we need for a week stay. Rooms are spacious and functional. None. Maybe just the location was not walkable for dining.

Amazing view from the main/dining area. Comfortable beds. Very spacious. Well insulated. It was very clean except for 2 areas. One tub had some very obvious pubic hairs in it, which a cleaner wouldn’t have missed…so this told me it likely hadn’t been cleaned before our stay. And on the kitchen floor, there was a small area in front of the oven that had some dried food, etc that had obviously been missed by a vacuum. But everything else was sparkling! My main complaint, however, was that the kitchen was not well-equipped. There were no kitchen towels. There weren’t enough mugs. There were very minimal, very cheap plastic cooking/serving utensils (spatula and spoon). A great oven, but no oven mitts or trivets for hot dishes to go on the table. No baking dishes. No measuring cups or spoons. No vegetable peeler. etc I cooked very simply, but these omissions made my cooking unnecessarily frustrating/complicated. I’ve stayed at far cheaper accommodations that were far better equipped for actual cooking. There also weren’t lots of places to hang towels considering the number of rooms/guests.

- Melissa (10/5): - The location was just magical. Those mountains are breathtaking. The chalet had all the mod cons. Staff were super helpful when we couldn't work a few things out. It was warm and inviting and the chalet had so much character. We had a car and everything was so close. This was a super convenient location and a nice little neighbourhood to walk around. Would love to stay in this accommodation again. We also went up to Mountain Harbour via the Iwitake Noah Gondola. It was definitely worth it. The views were amazing. We had lunch at a little restaurant called Gravity Works. Pizza and pasta made from scratch with no nasties. The place smelt amazing and the ambience was sensational. Definitely worth a visit. Really picky but mirrors in the bedroom would be helpful and better seating in living area so all could be together on the sofas.

House was great with everything you could need and was clean and well prepared. Quite far out from everything, although this could also be impacted by our visit being end of season with things closed up and busses not running frequently. Would have been helpful for guides on how to use equipment and TV (in English) as we were unable to use some things.

- Amber (10/5): Wonderful memories were made, and the Yuki Chalet exceeded our expectations in every way. - The whole Team at Morino Chalets went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Alex picked us up from the train station and also took us to the supermarket for supplies. When my daughter dislocated her shoulder on the slopes the team couldn't do enough for us, picking us up from the clinic and also dropping us off into town numerous times. Eri was wonderful, helping us get the Ski Patrol report we needed to claim on our travel insurance. We were immensely grateful for the whole team's care. We loved that Yuki Chalet's location was right next to the Lodge. The Yuki Chalet is a gorgeous Finnish style cabin, tucked away between snow laden trees where groups of monkeys regularly wander by. It is spacious, warm, and has a very well equipped kitchen. The beds are very comfortable, the whole chalet is very clean and well maintained. It's a beautiful 15 minute walk to Happo-One Kokusai Chair to take you up the mountain. The shuttle buses to the other resorts leave from the Tokyu Hotel which is across the road. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire Morino Chalets team for their exceptional service. Your hard work made our experience truly unforgettable, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you’ve done.

- Zuriyana (9/5): My friend and I are very happy that we booked the house for our stay in Hakuba. - The house is very clean, and communication with the host is easy. The walk to Hakuba train station takes about 25 to 30 minutes. We enjoyed our morning walks to the train station and the surrounding area, which is so pleasant that you won't feel tired. However, it can be quite dark at night, so walking alone is not recommended. In a group, it should be fine, but it's better to be cautious. Fortunately, the host is very helpful and can pick you up or drop you off at the nearest station. It's not that I dislike it, but the area is quite quiet and can sometimes feel a bit eerie. However, it's not overly creepy. It's actually a beautiful neighborhood. The only minor issue is the distance from the nearest train station

- Jason (9/5): Spring time in Hakuba - The location in the trees was amazing. Had all the utilies that were required for a family with teenage kids. Shower was great. Walking distance to Echoland and as we had a hire car it was easy access to the rest of what Hakuba had to offer. LOVE the place and will return again for more snow time. Google Maps got us pretty close, but we had a picture of the chalet so wasnt a major problem. The sliding doors between the bedrooms could use a bit of TLC.
- Liz (8/5): Double check the location of your chalet (unlike me!), otherwise an awesome stay. - Overall our stay at the Larch Peak Chalet was really good. The lodge picked us up from the station upon arrival but I had not properly read the description of the accommodation through the booking dot com website as I had thought the location was AT the lodge, right in Hakuba and walking distance to everything we had planned to be doing. Turns out the Chalet was over to the south of Echoland and definiely not walking distance. The lodge was really helpful throughout our stay with giving us a lift if we got stuck, as we were otherwise relying on the overwhelmed & crowded local bus system (we were in Hakuba for a festival). If we had our own vehicle or if the festival wasn't on to overwhelm the transport system the location would have been fine, it's right near 2 of the bus stops. The chalet itself was great, perfect for our group of 3. 2 spacious bedrooms upstairs and the living/dining/kitchen downstairs and the snuggliest little reading nook looking out at the snow through the big windows. It was warm, well equipped and the shower was my favourite of our whole stay! The bed we were in was squeaky every time one of us moved and the pillows were too soft for me.

- Patatepartie (9/5): Big, comfortable chalet, best if you have a car - The place was huge! We were only 4 (including a couple) but it could double that relatively comfortably. The location is pretty good, especially if you have a car. It's 10-15 minutes walking distance from the center, so that's doable for diner, but we did take the car to go to the ski slopes. A bit on the expensive side, especially for 4 people, but we booked late, so not many options were available. I'm not a huge fan of the urinal next to the regular toilet in the 2nd floor bathroom, but that's a detail.
