- davies (10/5): Need to relax away from it all, High Parks is the place to go to. - An idyllic place to stay. Felt like we were away from everything. Grounds were stunning. Hosts were so friendly. Beautiful drive to get there too, we drove from Cumbria. Totally recommend this wonderful place to anyone. Michelle and Mark Nothing at all, it was amazing.

- Darcey (10/5): Beautiful picturesque weekend away in a cosy lodge, lovely hosts and a great start to the new year! - We had a lovely stay in the pheasant lodge, it was beautifully clean, comfortable and cosy and set in a lovely woodland setting. The bbq hut was perfect to cook a steak on our first night and really added to our experience! The only problem we found was she shower didn’t drain particularly well so we did flood the bathroom and had to use our towels to clean up the water!
- Sean Hopper (10/5): 10/10 this place is exceptional. - This was our second visit back to the Deer lodge and again like our first, it was simply amazing. It is now our favorite place, beautiful grounds for a nice walk, great location to visit Bedale and other surrounding villages in the area as only a 10 minute drive. Sean who owns the lodges alongside his Wife are exceptional hosts who always go above and beyond for guests. A lovely festive touch to the lodges this season and an extra special treat of homemade mince pies waiting for us. Booking out the BBQ hut is also highly recommended, this was perfect last week with the colder nights. It is a beautiful cosy hut, it also would be an amazing area if staying with friends and family for somewhere to gather in the evenings around a lovely hot fire. 10/10 as always, try this place out, I promise you won't be disappointed. Nothing. We would go back again and again. exception stay!

And the cooking lodge is such a fantastic and dynamic extra that our stay was complete. I loved being able to purchase the basket of wood on an evening so I could sit by the campfire under the stars, so peaceful. The little fairylit snug is such a wonderful extra. - Sean Hopper (10/5): We loved it so much... we've already booked to go back! - There isnt much not to like 🥰 The Lodge is clean, very well equipped and so cosy. The bed is comfortable and the whole room is exactly as it looks in the images online. The little kitchenette is perfect for what you need for a few days. We were provided with milk, teas, coffees, sugar etc and the coffee pods for the coffee machine are a nice touch. The BBQ is an amazing extra and easy to use. TV and dvd player in the room. A cute lantern to take outside with you on an evening too. We paid for the fire wood and kindling which is a small cost. Sean is so lovely and welcoming and a fantastic host who clearly takes pride in this little piece of heaven. We loved it so much we booked up for a longer stay in December when we hadn't even fell asleep on our first night. Thank you and see you again soon. Nothing. We loved it all!

There was tea and coffee with cutlery provided and also outside was your own picnic bench and open fire with which you had the option to buy fire wood at £10 a basket . There was also your own gas bbq and an indoor bbq to hire . The surroundings where peaceful and tranquil . First night was very windy and noisy and woke up to a tree branch just missing my car . Other than that there was nothing to dislike.

From the moment we arrived at High Park Lodge, we were completely blown away. The lodge greeted us with a sense of calm and seclusion that was nothing short of magical. . The lodge itself was immaculate — beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. It felt instantly welcoming, like a true home-away-from-home. Waking up to the rabbits darting through the grass or one of the most delightful surprises was finding little frogs sitting just outside the lodge door, as if they were welcoming us into their world. It was surreal to be so close to such a variety of wildlife, all going about their day right on our doorstep. it was like something out of a dream. Being surrounded by such beauty each day was a rare and grounding experience What really made our stay special was the feeling of being completely away from it all, yet with every comfort imaginable. Whether we were strolling through the nearby woods, exploring the local villages, or simply unwinding together around the fire pit everything felt so easy and joyful. We left feeling recharged, closer than ever, and already planning our return. If you’re looking for a romantic retreat, a peaceful recharge, or just some time to reconnect with nature and each other, this lodge is absolute perfection. - Kathryn (10/5): Hubby wanted 3 days away in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere and that’s what we got! A great base to explore the Yor - Quirky little lodge away from everything. Peace and quiet was what we wanted and that is what we got. Inside the cabin was tastefully designed. Bed super comfy, shower room perfect, small fridge crockery and cutlery for two. Outside Gas barbecue, wooden picnic table and fire pit for each of the 3 cabins. Sean the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely visit again 😁 Everything was perfect so nothing to dislike.

Excellent bedding and towels, lots of thoughtful additions to support a wholesome getaway - including relevant books, games, dvds. A variety of teas and coffees provided and the space to really relax. Lovely hosts too! N/A
- Gary (10/5): - Would highly recommend High Parks. The location and surroundings are stunning ideal for couples wanting to get away from it all. We were greeted by our host, Sean, who is very friendly and welcoming. We had a wonderful few nights in the beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean cosy cabin with its own outdoor space with seating, bbq, and firepit. We hired the cosy bbq hut, which made our special celebration even more memorable. We will definitely be returning.

- James (10/5): Gem of a place - We had an amazing weekend at a fantastic location! We stayed in Owl Lodge, which was lovely, spotless and featured many beautiful details in the decoration. Our stay was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. Sean was a wonderfully welcoming host. Highly recommend spending a couple of hours in the BBQ hut as well. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this place more!

There’s only a small sink in the bathroom given the size of the hut. The washing bowl was fine to use it was just finding a comfortable spot to wash everything.

- Hayden (9/5): - Clean, cosy, secluded. The outdoor cooking area and the BBQ hut were highlights. Bed was comfy. Only very minor downside was the shower not being super hot.

His local knowledge was invaluable, offering great recommendations that truly enhanced our trip. The lodge itself was perfect—clean, comfortable, and set in a beautiful location, making it the ideal retreat. We enjoyed our break so much that we’ve already rebooked for later in the year! - sheikhnaheed (10/5): - Our stay was wonderful; everything was top-notch, and we couldn't find any fault. The views were stunning, the atmosphere serene, and the natural surroundings were lovely. There were also many nearby activities. We used the barbecue hut, which was excellent. Sean suggested a fire and provided wood and kindling, making for a wonderful end to the evening under the stars. Sean was very welcoming and helpful from the beginning. His directions were clear, and his suggestions for local activities were perfect. We would absolutely recommend this place!
- Holly (10/5): Just Wonderful - I'm so glad I found this gorgeous place to stay whilst on a business trip. The cabins are beautiful and the little touches just make it so wonderful. I cannot fault High Parks - the whole experience was fantastic and I will certainly be booking again. Amazing and friendly service. Also there's nothing like looking out of the window of your accommodation and seeing rabbits, pheasants, squirrels, free range chickens and a barn owl. Just gorgeous. Highly recommend a trip to High Parks.
- viinikka (8/5): Peaceful and cosy - Very cozy and very pretty to look at. Was set up very sweetly for Valentine’s Day and felt very romantic. Perfect size lodge for the two of us. Would definitely come back. We found the shower a little cold at times but it got better towards the end. I also hadn’t realised beforehand that there weren’t cooking facilities in the lodge itself but that wasn’t too much of an issue, only the first night that we had to change plans.

- Jacqui (10/5): Tranquil getaway in a perfect setting - The hosts were warm welcoming and went the extra mile. From the initial booking throughout our stay they were responsive and thoughtful, even to the point of helping us get our car out of deep snow up the long driveway just so we could get home safely. The lodge was perfect for a couple. Warm and cozy. We didn’t get to use as much of the outdoor space as we would have liked because of the weather but we are definitely going to return. Overall a fabulous weekend in a cozy and relaxing setting Nothing really. It could be just because of the weather we experienced that I say this but maybe a small microwave in the kitchen area would be a good addition
- Nichol (10/5): - We had the most fantastic 3 night stay in the Pheasant hut for my fiancés birthday. The little extra touches were massively appreciated and we'd absolutely recommend the BBQ hut. I was a little nervous staying in January but the huts were warm and cosy. Huge shout out to Sean who was the perfect host - Excellent communication, great local recommendations and went above and beyond to help us when we were snowed in on the morning of check out. It was the perfect getaway to recharge before starting the new year.
- jamie (10/5): - Really cosy accommodation the weather was wild outside but we felt warm and snug in the cabin. We hired the BBQ cabin which was great, steak from the local butcher cooked to perfection on the fire pit BBQ. Good communication from Sean thanks for couple of nights that felt like a longer break.
- Sam (10/5): - Sean, our host, was super friendly and welcoming. Greeted us on arrival and gave us recommendations as well as showing us round the site , even letting us in to help feed the Shetland ponies. The lodge itself was beautiful, spotless & so peaceful. That we didn’t stay longer!
- Nicola (10/5): Most relaxing Christmas I’ve ever had. - Very warm and comfortable, best nights sleep I’ve had in ages. Decor lovely. Scenery beautiful and very quiet, bliss. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing, peaceful Christmas away. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. The cooking facilities are limited which wasn’t a problem for us but maybe an issue if you’re not keen on cooking on a fire pit/BBQ.
