william (8/5): Nice but standard - A lovely hotel if your into spa treatments. If not then you could find as nice a hotel at a cheaper rate. It is a nice hotel but really a basic lay out, not much different than a travelodge but with better decoration.
Hannah (10/5): Wonderful stay - We used Central Park hotel as a stop over on our way further south. We are a family with 2 young children (aged 4&6) and stayed in a family room which has a second bedroom with twin beds. It was so fantastic! Amazing to be able to put the children to bed and not have to go to sleep ourselves! A really friendly hotel, we speak only a little French and everyone was so accommodating and encouraging of our French! The room was perfect and breakfast delicious. We walked into La Rochelle old town easily. I would absolutely stay again and heartily recommend.
Dany (8/5): Notre première nuit d'hôtel avec BG et WANNY - Nous sommes arrivés à minuit et demi et pour notre arrivé le parking assez compliqué en pleine nuit sans lumières. Pour le petit déjeuné en chambre il fallait la veille informé ce qui n'a pu être fait donc à ma demande le matin à 9h30, la réception un peu sec au téléphone. Dans l'ensemble bel établissement. L’hôtel est super bien placé; à coté d'un superbe parc; à coté de la mer; à coté du centre ville; tout en étant situé dans une rue calme. Mais le véritable plus de cet hôtel, c'est la qualité de l'équipe. L'ensemble du personnel est au petits soins pour que votre séjour à La Rochelle soit inoubliable. Vives recommendation.

Yuliya (4/5): staff ruined our experience! - Requested early check in, it was one day trop for my nephew's birthday, 19 y.o, the property messaged this will be accommodated. Arrived to the hotel and they said the room won't be ready and they will call me when it it. We had to change our plans. Again it was a special occasion trip. They offered to keep our bags in the storage though. No one called me. We returned to the hotel just before 9 pm and no one was at the reception. we called the reception, we rang the bell. the wait was long, for 20 minutes. We started looking for anither property but out staff was with this hotel. Luckily for us the receptionist appeared and we managed to get in with one card only they issued for us. So when I left the property I had to leave the card for my nephew in the room so he has lights and then I was buzzing the bell from outside and had to wait for a while for the staff to let me in. Also when I was in the shower the was men's hair in the shower base. To add, the 4 stars spa hotels does not have slippers in the room. The hotel is nice but the experience was ruined by its staff!!!!!
David (10/5): Perfect - Chose a stay in La Rochelle randomly, for a few civilised days by the sea (after being landlocked in the Charente with group of friends). A local friend warned us about the town being car hostile, and (especially during rugby tournament) extremely lively at night. We found Central Park just off the city centre, with a local parking (fairly essential if you are driving), and separated from the town by a beautifully maintained park area. Hotel clean, quiet, comfortable, and unostentatious, with a team of professional staff. Excellent breakfast if you want, and informal room service/bar all day. Hammam/spa which we did not use. La Rochelle port/town an easy and pleasant ten minutes paved walk away. Extremely easy place to stay - would unquestionably return another time. Thanks

Literie très confortable, douche et produits à disposition très agréables. De la place pour poser les affaires de toilette dans la salle d'eau. Room service petit déjeuner au top et très copieux. Personnel à l'accueil très aimable. Quelques petits "moins": tonalités sombres de la chambre, lumière trop tamisée, vue sur les immeubles voisins, pas le parc et le parking payant est à 200m en plein air, très étroit et au milieu d'immeubles d'habitation (mais il y a une vidéo surveillance).

When the room got a little too warm, we could call the front desk and request for temperature adjustments. Very professional and polite team. The hotel room was cozy and spacious enough. Booked a double room classic and enjoyed 3 days in La Rochelle. Conveniently located within 5-10mins walk away from the city with a park nearby. There are animals exhibits in the park too, worth taking a stroll there. Very limited free parking space infront of the hotel, but the hotel offers a private space for €12 per night located within 5mins walking distance. Breakfast buffet spreadwas pretty good, with pastries and juices available. Worth paying for if you have the time to indulge. Overall splendid experience and would look forward to staying here again during our next visit to La Rochelle.

Paid Parking not secure. - We liked the hotel and the location - easy walking to the port for restaurants etc. Good Room, Good Breakfast etc. The only negative was the paid parking. The parking places were spread around an open, unsecure parking lot shared with residents of local apartment blocks. I would expect paid parking to be secure. (There is very little street parking available around the hotel)

EURL (10/5): Fabuleux - Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis. La chambre était très spacieuse et confortable. Décoration de bon goût et tout particulièrement en cette période Noël . Endroit très calme . Parking à proximité où notre place était réservée . Petit déjeuner très copieux et très varié. Avec des gâteaux faits maison, des confitures originales, toutes sortes de salés, et fruits frais en jus, morceaux ou entiers. Nous n’avons pas eu le temps de profiter du Spa mais nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
Jacqueline (10/5): Great location! - The staff are polite and professional. The rooms are well insulated, you do not hear guests in other rooms. The location of the hotel is right next to the gardens towards the Casino & just a short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. We paid for parking with the Hotel which is situated just behind in reserved private parking shared with residents. This is our second stay here and we will be back.

Tim (8/5): A nice place in a good location - Nice hotel in a good spot. The rooms are large and we had a family room that had a separate bedroom for the kids. The staff are all friendly and the location is great with free parking nearby and a little public zoo a stone’s throw away. We’d stay again although the breakfast is expensive and not quite as grand as they tell you it will be!

Anita (8/5): Nice hotel but a little average... - Nice hotel within 10/15 mins walk to the port, restaurants etc. The hotel is right beside a lovely park which stretches from the hotel to the beach. The park has a lovely open zoo which would be great for small kids. The hotel is fine if you don’t expect too much. From the reviews I read I was expecting more but I’d rate it quite average.
Verified traveler (4/5): Unfriendly hotel - Booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. Phoned the hotel upon arrival at the train station and asked them to order a taxi for us. They refused but gave us a number. Arrived late at night due to a delayed train from Bordeaux. When we got to our room we found that our children's bed wasn't made up. Asked reception and was told to do it ourselves. Sheets were in the cupboard. Not enough bedding provided and had to wrestle with the settee bed to make it up. Not good and certainly not expected of a 4 star. This is the only hotel that didn't make up beds during our travels even the 3 star hotels did. Didn't expect the hotel reception staff to be rude. Breakfast the next day was basic. Stale pastries and soft overripe fruit. Worst hotel we stayed in in France.

CC (8/5): Great hotel and location - We stayed here as a family of four for two nights in a Junior Suite. The room was plenty big enough, comfy bed and pillows, the children slept on a good sofa bed they split into two singles. Separate bathroom and toilet. All very clean and furnished well. We ate breakfast at the hotel, a good selection available. The hotel staff were helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. Caroline on Reception was really good and Arthur who had many roles it seemed, also the cleaning girl (sorry I don’t know her name) was very good. Location is super. Right next to a lovely park which has wonderful animals to see, young roe deer, Pygmy goats, peacocks, various birds. Proximity to the pretty harbour is a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed the Acquariun, many restaurants and the ice creams!
Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful Central Park. - WONDERFUL. This is one of the BEST places where I have stayed in France. This is a REAL 4 stars hotel. Not the often minuscule narrow and dirty so called 3 or more stars in Paris or other cities. YOU WILL LOVE this place. AMAZING and exceptionally polite staff. AFFORDABLE too. Great vast park just steps away with animals, cycling and walking trails.

Lorna (8/5): Good stop-over for La Rochelle - An ideal stop-over for visiting La Rochelle, especially if you have a car and need to park it near the hotel. The only remark I would make about the hotel, is that the windows are very small. Otherwise, everything was very good.
Verified traveler (6/5): OK - The staff were really friendly and helpful but the hotel was not great. Babysitting was advertised but not available. I asked could I have a tea in the room I was looked at like I had 3 heads. It arrived after 30 mins. There were dozens of dead ants around my sink each morning- suggesting some kind of poison is also close by. I made my booking with 2 adults 1 kid but that information had not been relayed to the hotel by Expedia so no child bed on the first night, the guy on duty didn't know where the beds were, not his fault I assume he just needs some training. The internet connection is poor and did not save my sign in info so I had to keep calling for new log ins, I gave up asking in the end. I'm sure I saw free parking when I booked but this was not available.
Chris (10/5): Fantastic Hotel in great location - Our 3rd trip to La Rochelle over recent years but first time at this particular hotel. We chose it due to its location and availability of a large family room for 2 adults and 2 children (4 and 6 yrs). The hotel (exterior & internal) is modern, clean and well kept. Great staff had us checked in very quickly. The room was huge (Junior Suite),clean and modern. We ate breakfast in the hotel most days and very happy, kids loved the pancakes and Nutella. There is a 'Carrefour Local' just up the road so handy for snacks & essentials. Its a short walk into La Rochelle central, even closer to the beach and kiddie attractions. We would certainly book at this hotel again
Verified traveler (8/5): 5 night Stay July 2017 - Locate 10 mins walk out of town so just far enough away from noise and bustle. Family room was perfect. Large bed with separate area and bed for son. Large modern immaculate bathroom. Didn't use spa as too pricey. €20 for two plus €12 for third person for 24 hours. Should be included or much cheaper to use for a couple of hours. Breakfast too expensive at €15 but easy to get coffee and croissant in town. Hotel is great city base, staff very courteous, friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
