Guest Reviews
- Lori (8/5): - Very nice however the property is in need of some repairs and does need to be updated. The rooms are very spacious, however.
- Salahuddin (10/5): - Quiet; very accommodating friendly staff. And large room.
- David (8/5): - Nice
- Karen (10/5): - I was there for a wedding. Very nice venue.
The food was good. The suite was a great size. The rooms need updating. Bathroom should have 2 sinks. Outdoor French doors are worn. Need to be replaced. It would be nice to have a screen at the French doors so you can keep the doors open.
- Thomas (10/5): - Free upgrade. Great value! Expansive, beautiful property!
- Nicholas (10/5): - Very dated and worn …you can tell they don’t have the money to maintain. Large rooms with great balconies though…but no cushions, not enough towels, no soaps without asking.
- myra (8/5): - Propert was a little tired
- Coral (8/5): Nice room. - The hotel was well appointed. Huge rooms and a nice view of the pond. Sadly the restaurant only served lunch, but there was tea and coffee in the rooms and a small common area with a microwave and toaster if you brought your own.
- Jill (8/5): Spacious accommodations - Spacious room, bathroom, & super comfy beds. A bit dated & heat didn’t work (wouldn’t go higher than 66 degrees) but plenty of blankets so didn’t request assistance.
- Tristan (8/5): Would stay here again! - Humongous, clean room - very comfortable beds. Furniture a bit dated but would stay here again. Excellent fitness center.
- Andrea R (10/5): - Peacefully, beautiful. It should have breakfast. Hotel has a big potential, but needs to be better enjoyed.
- ALEXANDER (10/5): - A real gem. Great for the north Tampa area.
- Lolitta (6/5): - During my families stay we were awakened at 7am to the sound of Hammering and loud machinery in the room right next to our stay. My 3 year old nephew, needless to say, was cranky. The renovation crew was loud and very annoying with no consideration for any of the guest. The hotel crew were apologetic and did offer to comp me one nights stay.
The hotel was beautiful from afar. There was noticeable water damage to the common areas and many areas that are in need of major repair. Several areas in the room that need an upgrade.
- Jaime (8/5): - The perfect getaway if you're looking for a beautiful landscape, peace and quiet. While the property itself is appealing it shows signs of aging. There's a swimming pool though it seems more geared towards competitive swimming.
- Anduela (8/5): - Vast and clean.
- Erica (10/5): - We came off season so we had the pool to ourselves for two days. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My flight was delayed by 5 hours and they let me check out later with no issue.
- David (2/5): Very disappointed used to be beautiful!? - Unfortunately I've been staying at that property for a long long time I actually grew up in the area I work for clubcorp in the past and it was a beautiful destination right when it was fully Clubcorp.. not sure if it's still managed by club Corp but it's certainly doesn't look like no frills no service apparently the aerated the golf course which is the only reason why I stayed there so it was closed during my stay first two days did not see any evidence of aeration but the day I left I did notice that it was punched
- Lynwood (10/5): - It was great!! The room and everything was amazing. My wife and I had a great time.
- Fernando (10/5): Great hotel in the country club - Super nice environment. Very quiet. Room was very spacious. Didn’t use the pool but I will next time. Looks great from the outside. Definitely was a great place to rest with the perfect location and easy access to outside facilities.
- Sonia (6/5): - Property needs updating.
- Sandra (10/5): - Love the size of the room and balcony and boutique feel
- Michelle (8/5): Nice Resort, Would Stay Again - The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The daytime person at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. It was peaceful.
The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service was wonderful.
The restaurant was closed on Saturday night for an event, which we were not aware of.
- Natalya (10/5): - This property is so lovely and quiet and it was exactly what we needed for our short stay in Tampa
- Steven (8/5): - Nice place for a stay out of the normal hotel grind.
Older facility could use some refreshers- especially in the bathroom, and Tv.
Was bad timing as there was a golf outing and no onsite places to eat.
Staff was great and wonderful with everything.
- Arlyn (8/5): - A little outdated but super clean and very friendly front desk attendant
- Paul (10/5): - Older hotel attached to a beautiful golf course & country club, including a state of the art health club, tennis courts & swimming pool. Absolutely everyone I encountered was totally friendly and helpful. They treat you like a member of the country club. I’ve stayed here many times in the past and look forward to staying there again on my next trip to Tampa.
- John (2/5): - Upon checking out of the hotel. My wife had an encounter with one of the staff driving golf carts around the property. During this encounter, he asked her why is she at the hotel and also if she’s golfing and why she isn’t golfing. Mind you she is a woman of color and the guy on the golf cart is Caucasian. I spoke with the front desk and let them know of this incident of being discriminated and racially profiled. I was then met with many excuses as to why he was saying those things, yet there was never an apology or anything. Seemed as though they did not care at all. Not to mention we were looking forward to staying at this hotel due to me being in leave from Germany. I will never ever stay at this property ever again. You should feel welcomed by a hotel that you’re spending money to stay at.
- James (8/5): Spacious but dated - If the rooms were updated, this would be a hidden gem. I get that for a golf club, hotel rooms are a bit of an after thought. The rooms at Tampa Palm, and there are only 25 of them, are primarily there to support weddings or events. Compared to any other 3 star hotel, the rooms are nice. The decor is a bit dated, as is the 30" TV that is unable to swivel toward either bed due to being in an armoire. Not that big of a deal but the armoire and other furniture in the room was about 15 years old. Beds were clean and ok from a comfort standpoint. The room is VERY spacious and we had a nice view of the back lake. The bathrooms are large as well and were the bright spot of the room. Bathroom was more modern and didn't come off as 'dated' compared to the furniture/carpets. While the club does have a dining facility, it was closed Sat night due to a wedding and didn't open on Sunday mornings until around 11am, so breakfast before golf was beef jerky. The golf course was a 7 out of 10 and I would give the entire experience the same score. Better than average. I would stay there again but I would bring more provisions and my ipad.
- Mechelle (10/5): - Beautiful place. Everything about it was first class and wonderful!
- Susan (10/5): - This is my second stay here at Tampa Palms Country Club, the rooms are spacious, clean beds are comfortable and room is quiet. Ample parking is available; overall an enjoyable stay..
- Zhenia (8/5): - Could use some updates in rooms. Very spacious tgough
- Martin J. (8/5): A Touch of Class! You'll Love Spacious Rooms! - Very nice facility with a great golf course. The rooms are well above average with lots of space - impressive. No comment on the food as the restaurant was closed while there.
- Anie (8/5): - Love this hidden treasure. Not modern but has a uniqueness that i like. Only thing is thr beds are not comfortable enough
- Anduela (10/5): A very charming hotel! - We enjoyed our stay. This hotel a very charming, older feel. The rooms were HUGE, and the bathroom super huge and have a very nice balcony, which we enjoyed. Very clean, very comfortable, and spectacular views. The outside pool is on property but you have to walk about 100 metres…not a problem for us. The pool is huge. One thing I figured out late, they charge a resort fee of about $25 CAD+tax. Parking is free and ample, no breakfast but they have coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24/7 on the second floor. We travelled for about 50 days in the US, and this was the best night sleep we had: very peaceful, secluded area, and even if you turn the AC off at night, the unit stays cool (great heat/coolness retention)
Plenty of towel were provided at our request. The front desk was outstanding: friendly and accommodating. I forgot the name but the madame with very short, stylish silver hair, was so kind and friendly. Thank you!
- MOHAMMAD (10/5): - Very nice place to stay. Quite close to the university.
- Amy (10/5): Great find! - Just an overnight get-a-way in the Tampa area. Last minute reservation, spent the day at Busch Gardens and then checked in that night. It was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Exactly what we needed after a day at the park.
- Hatem (10/5): - Pleasant
- Caijhmon (10/5): Great stay at an unexpected place! - Yes, I am well aware the property needs serious updating. One of the widows in our room was dry-rotting. No big deal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire property was clean. VERY clean. I wasn't aware golf clubs ever had a hotel on property. I live in Naples and I have never seen that. Loved it! I chose TPGCC because it was out of the way enough I thought there would be less kids from the Busch Gardens crowd. I was right. This property could be really really nice if the rooms were updated. That being said, I would definitely stay here again. Also, the Fat Rabbit Pub across the street in the Publix plaza is a must visit if you're even in the area.
- Zhengyu (10/5): - Quiet golf club, large room, great view. Furnitures are a little aged. Other than that, it is perfect in Tampa Palms.
- Adam (8/5): - Very friendly, professional and attentive staff. Facility was a bit dated. Had hot water issues the last two days we were there. It was approached with care by the staff although it was a bit inconvenient considering the humidity and need to shower regularly. It is run with class and has a dress code which was unbeknownst to us; however, the staff were very nice about explaining how and when to dress appropriately. It is a higher-end golfing community. The facility outside is very well maintained as it is as aforementioned, a golf resort, and it isn't unusual to see Ferrari's and Bentley's in the parking lot most days. Overall, a good choice for families looking for a quiet place to relax.
- Rachel (10/5): - Was only slightly disappointed with the rooms as they were very outdated and we only had one channel in the tv lol . The room was very spacious and great balcony so I guess it made up for the room being old and outdated .
Overall great hotel great food and service
- Kathleen (8/5): - The hotel rooms are huge but a bit outdated and it is a quiet, cozy place to stay.
- Michelle (8/5): Very Nice Stay - We were very pleased with our stay at Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club. The room was very spacious and clean. The club is very pretty and well maintained. Everyone was very nice. There is a dress code. We will stay here again when we visit Tampa.
- Emilia (10/5): A nice weekend getaway. - The property is beautiful. The rooms were comfortably sized. The hotel was quiet. When we arrived at the hotel after dinner, a dear walked across the front lawn right in front of us. Although the hotel has some features that are out to date, it’s very well maintained and therefore the features have it character. Price was a huge plus.
- Teashayl (8/5): Get away - We loved the view of the golf course and location to restaurants and shops. The room need to be updated. The television had only 7 channels to choose from. The mattress was extra hard. I requested extra comforters/spreads to put on top of the mattress to make it comfortable. The carpet and furniture was very dated in the room. The carpet going to the second floor was dirty and worn, could use a good shampoo. The staff was very nice. Michelle gave us a courtesy call upon arrival. She informed us about the restaurant being closed because of our delayed flight. And would recommend restaurants if needed if we were hungry upon getting there. Lois was helpful as well. I’ll have to think about staying again.
- sheldon (10/5): - Be prepared to dress business casual to enjoy anything on-premises. No Exemption.
- Kerry anne (10/5): - This beautiful property is manned by equally wonderful people. The views feom the room are lovely and the golf course fantastic.
- Susan (10/5): - The room was clean , quiet and spacious. I will definitely be returning next time in Tampa. .
- Larry (8/5): - This property is good for a golf trip. Front desk staff very accommodating.
- Jonathan (8/5): - We had to ask for maid service, and no breakfast, but the room was very large, comfy beds, and very friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great stay. No complaints except need more electrical outlets. Staff were friendly- at hotel, tennis, golf course — everything!
- Daniel (10/5): - It's a nice country club that has 25 suite rooms. Slow during the week and quiet. Wedding on weekend. Place is picturesque with golf course wrapping around clubhouse. Restaurant was not open for breakfast except on the weekend, but there were lots of options close by. Sunday brunch at the club was just that, nice.
- Leca (8/5): - The staff was friendly, the resort is convenient and close to attractions. Is clean and roomy and quiet.
- David (8/5): - The Property is nice but the rooms need to be updated...Beds,Furniture, Light Switches, AC/Heat, Carpet, Patio Furniture etc.
The Staff was VERY VERY VERY NICE!!
- jeffrey (10/5): - i loved the golf curse- best in Tampa!
- AIDA (10/5): - Great Hotel will stay again in the future for sure. Thanks
- Tim (10/5): - This property was unbelievably quiet. Not once in 5 days did I hear another guest or staff. Front of resort free parking was tremendous. The size of the suite was impressive, ginormous sums it up.
- Stacy (8/5): - Property was clean and the staff eager to help. I will definitely return.
- Diane (10/5): - If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of "the theme park style hotel" then this is for you. Quiet, very quiet, very hot water and some rooms do not have a work station so ask if you need a room with a desk. Showing its age a bit, but still a nice, relaxing place. Convenient to a great golf course on property and to dining around town. The staff is helpful and friendly. Probably too quiet for families with little children.
- Makaela (6/5): - Heat did not work and shower only worked partially
- Scott (8/5): - Could use a little updating but clean, spacious and comfortable. Being tucked away in nice neighborhood, it was very quiet, peaceful and safe, yet conveniently close to restaurants and stores. Would definitely stay here again
- Jane (6/5): - The front desk I did the check in,was not very welcoming,
The stairs carpet was disgusting, the bathtub was clogged.
- Stephen (10/5): - Very peaceful and serine. Great outdoor area for relaxation.
- Robert (10/5): - Very nice area. Easy access to shopping and restaurants.
- Stephanie (8/5): - I liked the atmosphere and the staff was exemplary, especially Michelle at the front desk. We were there because we had to evacuate due to hurricane Ian and she went out of her way to make us comfortable and even checked local restaurants to see which were open since the restaurant onsite was closed.
The hotel itself was a little outdated but would still recommend it to others; especially if your there to golf.
- Dimple (8/5): - This is an older property and could truly use a renovation for sure. The rooms are very big and can’t complain about that. Stayed here my 2nd time because of the price & location. The front desk morning person was not very friendly and it’s almost forced to smile say good morning but I was very friendly. The rooms are def outdated and could def use some freshen up! I’ll stay again no doubt but overall it’s not a bad place if you desire room.
- Carolina (6/5): Needs upgrades - The actual hotel perimeter is beautiful and peaceful, but the rooms and bathrooms need major updates. The AC was off when we got to the room which makes it very humid and smells like mold. The coffee maker broke down in the morning so went downstairs to get coffee from the coffee make there, and the creamer was spoiled! The toilet barely flushed and was leaking in the bowl all night. The pool was nice but not clean. Overall I'm sure there are better options for $180 per night.
- Lisa (10/5): - Large rooms, beautiful grounds.. perfect for our large family
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel has beautiful grounds and stately building, that may raise your expectations on arrival, and great staff (especially Michelle) who seems tireless at serving guests. However, Hotels cleanliness is wanting. Our first impression was that the carpet in the hallway was quite dirty. The first room we were booked in turned out to have dirty drapes, and the bedding did not look as clean as we’d expect in a hotel with such impressive physical facility. We were moved to a different room at an upgrade fee, but after spending the night, my wife developed a headache, and we discovered that the air conditioning vent in the bedroom had mold on it. In summary, we loved the grounds, but not the accommodation. The hotel is really a boutique hotel (with 25 rooms or so), if not, affiliation with, and management by a top national hotel chain, and renovations would result in a magnificent hotel.
- Brian (2/5): Outdated - I do not recommend this hotel unless you wish to travel backwards in time. This hotel is very dated. You’ll walk past the front desk because they are tucked away in a broom close next to the elevator. Speaking of elevator it is like opening a time capsule from the 1970’s. The faux pine wood panels, golf course carpet etc…Sitting on the room chair is made of wicker. The couch looks like something from the early 70’s and it feels like the flintstones made the cushions. The tv cabinet is from the Wild Wild West. I have a bigger tv in my bathrooms. The outlets work about like the gap in Michael Strahan’s teeth when he’s eating. The bathroom tub sucked the water out faster than Kim Kardashian did Ray Jay so trying to let kids take a bath is out of the question. The lights yeah those all have individual switches you have to hunt for. The AC is like the Sahara Desert hot as Haiti’s during the day and frost bite at night. If you want an average room temperature this isn’t the hotel for you. If you want to imagine sleeping on a golf course in the Smokey Mountains then maybe this is the place for you. I would not even get them an A for effort I’ve seen blind people build better stuff in a garage at home.
- Mariah (10/5): - Y
- Yolanda (10/5): - I loved this property. The rooms were really spacious and clean. The grounds were so beautiful and serene. There were several stores near by. Staff was friendly and helpful. I didn’t have a chance to eat at the restaurant on site but the menu looked good and prices were reasonable. I would stay again.
- Patrick (2/5): - Property is nice for golfing and events but staying here, place needs a lot of remodeling and plumbing fixes.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful - Old Florida style hotel. Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Could use some updates.
- Jean (10/5): - Vintage Florida, peaceful and old. Beautiful views of the golf course day and night. Very worn, very spacious, would stay again. Not commercialized. No room service or anything like that, old TV and furniture but a clastic.
- Carina (10/5): - This has become our favorite place to use for a stop during our travel by. It is so quiet. It is an older hotel but the rooms are spacious and again very quiet. Don’t expect a bell man you pretty much handle things yourself but it is just right for us. Have not tried the dining there. I know they don’t serve breakfast. But if you want a peaceful nights sleep this is the perfect place! It is only a mile or two from the highway in a neighborhood location.
- Marie (10/5): - Beautiful HUGE room on a lovely property with an impressively large bathroom area and counter with great lighting for getting ready. We would definitely stay again!
- Eric (10/5): - Easy check in. Room was huge, great view of back of clubhouse, lake, 18th fairway. The beds were super comfortable and air ice cold!!! Have not been happy with other properties in the Busch Garden area for years. Saw this on app, read reviews and really glad we did! Will use this as our go to property when visiting Busch Gardens again. We have been pass holders for a few years and this was a great find.
- michael (6/5): Nice but not - Outside is quite nice, but the rooms need updates. Have a dress code and resort fee pays for nothing worthwhile. Just a way to squeeze a little more money out of you. Bed was hard and uncomfortable.
- VLADIMIR (10/5): - Cant wait to comeback and stay at this place again! The rooms are spacious! The property is excellent!!!!
- Antony (8/5): - Very clean but needs modernizing
A/C very fierce and couldn’t find the controls
With a little investment this could easily be a 5 star plus resort but as it is it is not for more than 1 or 2 nights
By far the best for us was it was very quiet and beautiful grounds so ideal after a long drive
- Lucy (10/5): - Quiet and quaint; a perfect reprieve after a long day at Busch Gardens!
- Ricardo (10/5): - Very nice hotel.
- Stephen (4/5): - Nice golf course on property. No tee times available though.
Cleaning carpets and doing maintenance while there. Had to avoid trip hazords, carpet cleaning van and hoses to walk in and out of building. Thermostat and light switches are below your waist. Must take a knee to control Thermostat.
- Steven (10/5): Great Quite Place. - I really enjoyed my stay here. Only negitive thing i would say is the elevator was out od service. However, there are only two floors so no big deal lol. The room was very large and comfortable. Nice private balcony! Room 201 right on the corner. Private and quite. Staff is super friendly! I will definitely stay here again!
- Jody (10/5): - The golf course was excellent. Staff were very helpful and very nice.
The hotel is very clean.
Michelle, at the front desk, was very professional and merry our request one after the next
- Carol (10/5): Great - The front desk women was absolutely amazing, she went out of her way to help us with finding local spots to dine and was just very pleasant.
- JORGE (6/5): - The elevator was broken and there are no rooms on the first floor. The restaurant hours are very limited (11am to 5pm). Keep in mind check in is at 4pm and check out is 11am. The room furniture is very outdated! The area was calm and safe. And self parking is free. No valet available.
- GREGORY (10/5): Very nice place to relax! - Very nice property!
Rooms are better then its price!
- Lily (6/5): - For the price it didn’t have much. Place had old smell and ac was right over the rooms so you can hear at night. Staff was very friendly and helpful 👍
- Charles (8/5): - lack of food
no daily room service
- Michael (8/5): - We liked the large room sizes. The furnishings are very dated but comfortable. housekeeping was very sweet and did a great job. The toilet was an issue the entire week. We had a plunger on hand from the front desk, because the toilet just wouldn't flush. The handle stuck and it ran constantly. All things considered, I would stay again.

- Judy (8/5): - We weren't given any toilet paper, the balcony door would
not open and the breakfast was cancelled. Also, we are
very sorry that we inconvenienced the front desk personel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Property is run down as evidenced by the large holes in the awnings (by practice green) and the condition of the bathrooms in the rooms. Staff was pretty unfriendly.
- Amy (4/5): Never stay here - I didn’t like the room for what I paid for .Couldn’t get ice because they locked it up .No Breakfast And it took over an hour to get a darn blanket .I will never stay there again sure not worth 250 a night Rip off
- Jennifer (4/5): Expected better - Visit was planned to see if we wanted to invest in a membership. However, the hotel was so outdated and smelled very moldy in clubhouse and hotel rooms. Golf course is beautiful; but had groundskeepers performing landscape maintenance while we were playing- followed us through many holes. Food was good, Churrasco was great. Artichoke and spinach dip was microwaved; the pita chips got very chewy after about 10 minutes. Service was great, friendly. Manager visited our table- friendly, attentive.
Overall, for the price, we expected better.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The grounds were lovely and if you play golf this would be the place. There was no microwave, no free breakfast, no usb places to charge phones nor enough outlets in the room, the door on the balcony was not secure and my grandson leaned on it and it flew open and he fell out the door!!! We could not watch TV from the bed. It was a large room but it truly needed some updating.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel was wonderful. Rooms were clean and spacious. Very Pleasant staff
