Three-Bedroom House

Linden Cottage is located directly behind Linden Bed & Breakfast with access to the lawn and property as if you were staying with us in our antebellum home. Providing lodging accommodations for friends or family traveling together, our vacation rental is a charming 3-bedroom (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins with trundles) 2-bath home on a large lot with a beautiful enclosed brick patio, complete with outdoor furniture. Located on a quiet and beautiful street bordering the grounds of Linden, the Cottage is less than a 5-minute drive to the heart of downtown Natchez, Mississippi. We recently completed an extensive renovation of the entire interior of the Cottage. Every room has been painstakingly refurbished with furniture, paint, decorative arts, and bedding along with the fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. There is a lovely breakfast area and a formal dining room for your dining pleasure. Because there is a full kitchen and 2 dining areas, breakfast is NOT included in the fee. Five large “smart” flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer combo, a two-car garage for your vehicles and the security system make the Cottage the perfect retreat in Natchez for a family or group. Historic charm with modern amenities!

We had to drive because it was too far to walk into town. We have no hesitation in recommending Linden.

The rooms are quaint but quite small and full of potentially breakable things so need to be less cluttered. The mattress was not good and the bed really creaked. They give you breakfast and I emailed to say I had a food allergy but this was ignored which was all a bit awkward as no choice. The place is peaceful and quiet and well situated for the historical homes tour.

In particular we loved the back porch and spent several hours sat in rocking chairs soaking up the atmosphere, a well needed break in the middle of a hectic road trip. Breakfast was really good, served in the beautiful period dining room with true Southern hospitality. Nothing!

It was very difficult to find our room, too, and frankly, after the long drive I was cursing the management. We didn't get the WiFi info so that was a problem, too. Breakfast was really average. I am not sure I would stay there again because of the hassle of my check-in experience.

Loved the porch seating and all the flowers around it. Great ice machine as well. Our bathroom door was warped and didn’t close well and then hard to open from the inside. The shower faucet handle was difficult to operate and find the hot water. The air conditioner in the room ran all night trying to cool the room.

Laura (9/5): Beautiful and peaceful break - Fantastic hosting, and a beautiful location. Linden is an extremely peaceful and scenic place to relax. We had a wonderful couple of nights there. Everything was very clean and the bed was particularly comfortable. We loved the soft sheets. The tour was fascinating and we really enjoyed our Southern breakfast. Everything about the hotel itself was lovely! I suppose one way it could improve would be availability of drinks or food later in the day as it's not very walkable into Natchez itself, but that's more of a suggestion rather than a criticism. We loved our stay.

Hélène (10/5): Great stay in a beautiful historical house - The breakfast was very generous and delicious even if I'm not a big fan of pancakes. Very good coffee and very nice lady who was serving breakfast. Beautiful historical house. Best part of our stay was the tour given the morning after by the owners' husband. Very nice and friendly gentleman who gave us the tour. It was very interesting and informative. He answered all of the questions that we had related to the house and the area.

Laura (10/5): Beautiful historic bed and breakfast in the heart of the Mississippi - Very nice and clean bed and breakfast located at a historic Southern house. Beautifully kept. Had all the amenities needed. Conveniently located, a 5-10 min drive everywhere in town. Check-in was easy. The staff was welcoming. Loved the room and the complimentary house tour! Breakfast was fine, but would have preferred to have more choices—some fruit or a vegetarian choice instead of meat, for example.
Gillian (10/5): thoroughly enjoyable stay in a very interesting comfortable house. - the atmosphere was so relaxing and comfortable. ability to sit on the veranda,read, drink tea was appreciated.. it was also great to interact with other guests and enjoy the company. the house had history and we were given a talk about this history after breakfast. Super. the breakfast very good and the staff were considerate to our taste. only constructive comment would be to have a kettle or separate means of heating water for making tea so as not to rely on the coffee machine for heating the water.

Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - This historic b&b is amazing! We were greeted when we arrived even though it was late and raining. We loved the beautiful property and the wrap around porches with rocking chairs. we stayed in Dick’s Suite, which was huge and beautifully decorated. The shower had great water pressure and the beds were super comfortable (and huge!). The staff were all so friendly. The breakfast was delicious. They even gave a tour of the home as part of our stay, which was engaging and interesting. I would highly recommend staying here! nothing!

We couldn’t shower. They apologized for the inconvenience and said they would fix it but we were leaving that day (without showers).
Robert (10/5): Mini break in historical Natchez - Pristine historic property sensitively preserved for visitors to enjoy. The guest room was immaculate and very comfortable. Hospitality of the team was genuine and the private tour of the house a real highlight. Breakfast would be improved with some fresh fruit and pancakes.

Kim (8/5): Sam was wonderful…breakfast was excellent - Sam was very warm and welcoming…making sure we knew where what was happening around us… she made our stay very special the stairs to our suite were narrow… it was a little strange being the only two people on site that night..,we knew how to contact someone if there was a problem…but still it felt strange

Jacquie (9/5): Comfortable stay in a stunning historic property - a real experience. - We enjoyed our stay at Linden, which is a beautiful and very impressive historic property. Definitely a memorable and unusual experience. Breakfast was excellent and served by two delightful members of staff. Our rooms and beds were comfortable and furnished with wonderful period furniture - we've never had to use steps to get into bed before! It's a short drive into town where there are plenty of places to eat - we especially liked the older places in Natchez Under the Hill. It did feel slightly strange that we arrived in the afternoon but didn't see a single member of staff until breakfast the following morning. Our self check in was fine, but some fellow guests who arrived later than us did have some problems getting in.

Only written communications from hostess, not very personal, like expected at b&B's Breakfast info .."starts promptly at 8:30. "So on a very cold morning (29 degrees) ,we arrived a few minutes early, and we're told to wait (outside) they would come and get us when they were ready. So everyone waited in the cold until about 8:40. We were told the heat wasn't on and it was cold in the dining room.???

Anonymous (10/5): accomdations are excellent - this home is gorgeous, very inviting porches to relax on. their breakfast was excellent and served by the nicest ladies. our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. we were unable to get a tour of the home following breakfast that was included with our B&B stay. they owners ask us to join a bus tour that was coming in an hour. we were on a schedule and could not afford the extra hour wait. that was very disappointing.
