• Mals (10/5): Bay Resort is what's happening, book it. - Nothing stood out as a problem. The pool area is very nice. The pool size was sufficient for some mini lap swimming, very pleasurable. The kitchen and coffee in room service very welcome. Several coffee brands were prepacked. Stove, microwave and kitchen nicely done. I expect to return to Bay Resort next time. Some might prefer to be on the beach side of the Dewey Beach layout. But its only two blocks wide so one can walk to the beach. Also the bay side facilities hotels, restaurants all have pleasant views of sunsets as well as soft cool evening breezes. So Bay Resort, on the bay is not a problem. IMO. One very negative item: Parking. All the hotels add for a parking spot at the hotel. But if one wishes to park at a restaurant a hike from any hotel, Dewey Beach contract venders really rake in the bucks. Find a spot, scan in a QR code and process your credit card, two hours $9. Go figure, $30, $40, $100 are very possible. Families with gear, might drive to the beach access, keep the motor running, unload everything, and have dad or mom drive the car back to the hotel, paid, spot and walk back to the beach while the gang sets up the beach HQ. Have fun, Beach Resort is your friend in a hostile parking jungle. (don't kid yourself, gendarmes are patrolling ticket writers, big time)

• Vallpa (1/5): It’s horrible - None It’s old ,dusty and flies in room 111 (5 or 6 of them) I choose to pay more for first floor total $143 for 2 adults. When I check in around 7 pm the front desk charge me another $14.99 for parking fee. This is a motel parking just in front of the rooms not downtown. I thought booking.com said free parking .3 miles to the beach. It’s just playgrounds behind my room and the bay. It’s not look good like the pictures that show on advertising. I can’t wait to go home. I’m very disappointed. Never stay here again 😡

• Liz (5/5): Beautiful views from the bayside rooms. - The location is beautiful and very convenient to restaurants and ocean. It is right on the bayside with beautiful sunsets. Our room could use a thorough deep cleaning. The staff did respond quickly to replace burnt out bulbs and clean the A/C vents. They had water issues during our stay ( broken water main and next day no hot water) that were beyond their control and were repaired quickly. The bed was comfortable and they provided ample towels. The room had a “kitchenette”with a small stove that has seen better days. They are doing some renovations that will hopefully improve the rooms.

• Alexis (7/5): My stay at the Bay Resort was pleasant. - The staff were extremely kind and friendly! The location to all the restaurants and bars in Dewey was super convenient. The price per night was unbeatable! The appliances were outdated and the pool was filled with dirt and moss. Even though it was too cold to use the pool, it makes me concerned because I’ve used it in the summer and makes me question the cleanliness and safety of the water.

• Jillian (3/5): Good location, but will not be back - Great location. The rooms are fine. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable so just based on that I wouldn’t stay there again. I also had a terrible check-in experience. It took almost 30 minutes until the young man at the front desk even was able to assist me. He had a difficult guest, so not his fault, but he didn’t once say anything to me like “I’m sorry for the wait; I’ll be right with you” - nothing. When he finally did get to me, he mumbled about the wait. He also wasn’t clear about the parking situation and how it was an extra cost on the room and not part of the booking I did online, and then when it was finally done and we walked out, he had to chase after me because he needed me to sign some other form he had forgotten but only said it was because it was “important to them”. The room itself was a standard Dewey hotel room (carpet grossed me out). The bathroom was super tiny. If you’re in your 20s, go for it.

• Lisa (5/5): - Well we went through booking .com and the things they had us to see, wasn’t what we experienced. In the description it said private parking if you needed a bigger space they had a private area for 14 or 17.99 a night. We traveled to Delaware for my granddaughter who races sprint cars she had a race at Georgetown speedway it was over a 3 hour drive so we got 2 rooms for us and the crew so we would not have to drive home so late after working all day and racing till late. But there was no place to park the truck and trailer, if going through a third party contact to find a place to stay the hotel should check that everything that is on the site is correct other then that I will say 5.

• Jason (1/5): - The Staff were very accommodating and nice. The Room was run down and not maintained. The shower was also not maintained. There were stains on the carpet. The replacement refrigerator was on its last leg and in the way of our closet space since the original one was screwed shut. I paid for a pool view and all I could see was a cement slab near the pool. A/C was leaking rusty water on the patio and there was bucket instead in the room under the A/C Unit. I felt disappointed with the whole experience except for the staff.

Thank you to cleaning team! The building has to be renewed. The bed linens and towels are very clean, as they always were. But the pillows and blanket, while soft, new, and clean, are uncomfortable, too synthetic, and slide off the bed at night.

• Alana (8/5): Fine for what it is, expensive with dogs - We were bummed about the $150 non refundable dog fee, which doubled the cost of the hotel. It’s a good deal for its price, but not if you tack on the dog fee.
• Anthony (4/5): - I would honestly say this hotel needs many updates for the price we paid in Oct. No water pressure at all, chairs had stains on them. Bathroom was not properly cleaned on arrival. If your looking for a place to lay your head and there are no other options….come to the Bay Resort.

• Linda (10/5): - Great staff, let us in early due to being off season.Excellant view of sunset. Nice dock with chairs at the end to sit in. The lady at the front desk was very nice. We will be coming back again to stay.
• Amy (6/5): - The staff was terrific but under new management so there were lots of surprises. Pool and water options closed, unexpected new charges of $15 per night for parking, no screens on the patio door so the room full of flies, no upgrades to ac and kitchenette (the ac was loud and blew dirty air) and a tree on one side of the property bangs on the roof gutter so loudly we didn’t get any sleep the first night and had to change rooms). Years ago this was a great place, but with lack of upgrades and proper maintenance has gone downhill. We will not stay here again,

• Charity (8/5): Off season vacation - Clean room, great location, comfortable bed. Its an older facility but kept well. I loved the dock off the back bay. Easy walk to the ocean. Our room only had a mini fridge (no freezer) so not really able to bring food to cook. Kitchenette is very tiny with no counter space. Pool is not heated, so we were not able to enjoy that amenity.
• Minerva (4/5): - Not a family friendly place,it must be a MOTEL not a RESORT.when you go to the balcony the smell from the lake. It's disappointing.
• Tonya (8/5): - Not fancy but clean enough and dog- friendly! Beautiful pier out to the bay with chairs! A quick convenient walk to the beach! Very small area for pets to relieve themselves, this was a bit of a challenge. Cannot beat the location!

• Angela (10/5): - Sunsets! Mgr Aaryn & team, excellent! Quiet hours, natural scenery & dog friendly. Steps to kayaks, Dock & 4 hammocks. Convenient location. (Motel rooms.) Fluffy bedding. Look forward to returning! Met guests with 15+ yrs' repeat visits.

• Sarah (10/5): - Great location and the sunset views are wonderful. The bay side room is right on the water. It’s quiet in the off season and very relaxing. The staff are so friendly and helpful! They make the stay even better! The room is on the small size but everything else made up for that!

• Joseph (8/5): Anniversary Visit - Staff was very helpful. Room was clean but renters before us smoked outside and never disposed of their buts. We discussed with cleaning ladies but were still there after the 4th day. We stayed at this location approximately 15 years earlier with no updates. The bed was comfortable and guests were very friendly. The Motel is dog friendly as are a lot of restaurants in the area especially in the off season which attracted us because we have a 10 year old Service Dog which allowed us to bring her to the beach and restaurants. Will go back in the future.
