- Reeve (9/5): - Tina was super friendly and on the ball. Shortly after booking, she Whatsapped the Google Maps location and enquired about my approximate arrival time. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The bed was super comfy and the white towels and bath mat gleaming fluffy white. There is a little bar fridge, coffee and tea, kettle and milk and a little fan heater that took the chill out the Midlands winter air. In the morning I was served a wonderful warming breakfast of cinnamon oats and stewed apples in my room. Bancroft was a much needed little retreat and Tina's warmth made it feel positively homely. When I go back to Pietermaritzburg, I will definitely be staying at Bancroft again!

With the property being nestled on its own serene little plot of land, I'd highly recommend it to any couple looking to unplug from the world for a little bit.

- Diane (9/5): A lovely, homely B&B which I would recommend if staying in the Midlands area. - Bancroft is a lovely, homely B&B. The garden and pool area is very pretty, with a busy birdlife. Tina was the perfect host who communicated well and was very kind to us during a difficult time. The breakfast was delicious, the room and bed both very comfortable.
