Guest Reviews
- Carol (8/5): - It appears the bathrooms need an upgrade. Tubs are huge and tall and difficult to get in to. Tidiness could be improved, however, the hotel has a certain charm. Staff was very helpful, with Joyce being a star.
- Barbara A (10/5): - The hotel was great as we were in the town to do family research and it was quiet and great for what we were doing.
- Dawn (10/5): - Staff was friendly, but the floor was filthy, the tub was dirty and the shower curtain was stained. Also our door was difficult to shut when leaving.
- Christine (10/5): - Enjoyed the historical, Southern comfort vibe.
- Rucker (10/5): - Staff just really nice
- Shannon (10/5): - Unique hotel, quiet. Friendly staff.
- Katie (4/5): Dirty... will never stay again. - The room was absolutely filthy and very dated.

- Gary (10/5): - The second story balcony was closed from the inside, very hard to get to ftom the outside. It didnt make any sense, only 10 feet away from the inside.Uther wise
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Overall would stay here again! My room key didn't work the first time, so I needed to go back to the desk. Quickly remedied and other then the bathroom needing some TLC, due to age, everything was clean and welcoming.
- Jon (10/5): - Wonderful!
- Mark (10/5): - Beautiful hotel in a beautiful town! Stayed one nighand decided to stay two more nights.
- Kelley (10/5): Pleased customer - The staff very friendly, breakfast was tastefully done, quiet and very pleased with our stay!
- Anthony (6/5): - Fixtures coming out. Bathroom was dated.
- Glenna (10/5): - A beautiful place to stay. It has an old world quality eith modern convenience. Clean and comfortable and the staff was very hospitable. Definitely recommend!
- Jim (6/5): - Great location, and hotel has impressive looking exterior, but interior was dated. We were there on slow days (Sunday-Wednesday), so very little was put out for continental breakfast. We had an early checkout, so missed out on their puttting out more of a spread. AC was loud, and the thermostat was either too warm or ice cold.
Only closet was in bathroom. Can’t get dressed if someone’s in the bathroom.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Loved this place. Staff were extra sweet and helpful. We had a lovely river room. We enjoyed the breakfasts. Not your average continental breakfast. Homemade cinnamon rolls were awesome. Maysville is very walkable to shops and restaurants.
- George W (4/5): - The air conditioning did not work. We were moved to another room and it didn’t work either. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! The room and bathroom are right out of the 80s. Horrible!
- James (10/5): - Awesome in every way. Super helpful. Awesome hotel room
- Frances (8/5): - I love this hotel. I have stayed here several times. I wish they could give it a nice refresh and also replace the huge tubs with a walk in shower.
- Barbara (10/5): - Great location with beautiful river view!
- john (2/5): - this place is totally worn out.
time to close it.
- Valorie (10/5): - Very friendly staff and extremely helpful. Cute rooms. Pet friendly. Limited food options include Hippie Burger which looked cute and ORourke’s Pub. Both in walking distance less than a block. River walk is cool.
- Holly (10/5): - We had an amazing time staying at the French Quarter. It’s such a classy place and we enjoyed every second. Wish we could’ve stayed longer! Will def be back.
- Gail (8/5): Not very Romantic Getaway - Trip was alright. It rained spotty all day, not much in the town, and the train right outside our window all night was obnoxious.
- Marla (8/5): Mattress needs a change - The mattress on the bed was not comfortable and caused me pain. But the worse was the plastic covering on the mattress made me sweat all night.
- Bruce (10/5): Quiet get away.... - It was a very nice stay, right on Ohio river, quaint little town, good food, relaxing stay...would do it again

- Stephanie (2/5): - Mattresses need replaced, everything needs updated.
- Kevin (6/5): - Room was very dirty including old hair ties and partially filled water bottles. Also bathroom conditions need upgrading and fixing of tiles and a good cleaning.

- Norma (10/5): Great view - Had a very nice stay. Everything was great. Had a great view. The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent! The room was spacious. Looking forward to coming back again real soon!
- Robert (6/5): Great Service, but Needs Upgraded - Had very good service at the front desk. The hotel is in great need of an upgrade.
- Jake (10/5): - Everything was great, but we did have problems with the room key. I guess if it’s close to a cell phone, the key demagnetized. Also, pillows were not comfortable. Other than that, really a cute stay!!
- Laura (10/5): Pleasant surprise - This was an unexpected, pleasant surprise of a hotel experience..the staff was kind and courteous, the room was well over expectations on cleanliness and size. We will return to the area and stay again..

- Gerald (10/5): - It's a lovely property. Quite old but well taken care of.
- Roland (10/5): - ..................
- Gerald (10/5): - Very nice property. Quite historic and centrally located. I loved the pictures of past famous people.
- Daisy (10/5): - Best biscuits & gravy for breakfast!! Nice place, stunning view of the bridge!
- John (10/5): - We had a four cup drip coffee maker in the room. Very convenient. There was a whirlpool tub in the bathroom.
- Ronald (10/5): - It was right on the river and the views, both night and day, were lovely.
- Bill (8/5): - Trains were occasionally very noisy!
- Stephen (10/5): - A bit dated in some areas but overall a great stay.
- gary (6/5): - The pool water was green and had a lot of junk in it !!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Maysville is always a delight with beautiful Ohio River views, friendly people and dining options. Shout out to O'Rourke's Pub for craft beers and food. Just across the street from French Quarter Inn. At FQI I was greeted by Carol who was gracious and helpful. Checkin a breeze. Room was clean, spacious and a comfortable rest from a day of hiking at Blue Licks and roaming the streets of Maysville. Note room could have used some more electrical outlets.
- Alan (10/5): Great little hotel, really a nice place to stay. - We picked this for a stop on a longer trip. We were very pleasantly surprised with the hotel and location. If we are ever passing through, we would stay here again.
- Richard (10/5): - The suite was fabulous. The view was great.
No ice on floor.
Came to breakfast at 8:20 and most of the food and milk was gone.
The water pressure was low.
But overall, we would highly recommend.
- misty (10/5): - It was perfect for me love the tub.
- Perry (10/5): - Friendly, professional staff. Very clean.
- carrie (6/5): - Nice having a decent sized hotel in a small town
- JP (10/5): - My second stay. Very nice. Will definitely return.
- Barbara (8/5): - The Staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was spacious, but the ac was very noisy.
- Tina (10/5): - There were several places to visit within walking distance.
- Christopher (8/5): Cool on the river hotel - Staff very friendly . Free breakfast . Room was good. Got upgraded to the suite because the room wasn’t cleaned. A pleasant stay
- Barbara (4/5): - We ABSOLUTELY could not check in before 3:00pm, something we never had a problem ever before in any other hotel. Our room supposedly had just been cleaned, however, there were clean towels on the floor along with dirt, dust and hair on the bathroom floor. The floors were sticky. Someone did come back to clean the bathroom. The hotel is out of the way and I'm sure prior to covid, was a nice hotel.
- JP (10/5): - VERY nice establishment. Clean, posh, friendly. Right on the river. Beautiful stay!
- JAMES (2/5): - It was a great place to stay but Expedia messed up the reservation - they had the wrong date!!!!
- Kevin (8/5): - The in room whirlpool did not work.
The mattress was old
No drinking water available
No hot breakfast Tuesday morning
- Shirley (8/5): - Love the view on river side.
- Vickie (6/5): - The hotel was in a nice spot to get to downtown events, dining, etc. The hotel needs a lot of updates. Blow dryer did not work, asked for another one. They did not have a portable one. (Was hooked to wall). Scenic deck looking over river did not have a walkable entrance.. This is the best part of the hotel. Had to go around back and up some stairs. Breakfast was ok, Muffins, eggs, etc. Where breakfast is served they used to have a bar in this same area. They do not have that anymore. But can order refreshments through the front desk. Be cautious for those that do not like trains. It goes right behind this hotel early in the morning. View of river is pretty., get your room on river side. The space upstairs was where they served breakfast years ago and you could look out over the river...not sure why they closed that area off.
- Kelly (10/5): - The room was big and comfortable...lots of nice extras...jet tub, microwave, mini fridg...good breakfast as well. Folks were very friendly...will definitely be back!
- Marcia (10/5): - A very comfortable hotel with a homey feel.
- Margaret (6/5): - Very well decorated and comfortable lobby area
Great for visiting with our friends
The staff were wonderful and very friendly
- John (8/5): - Nice older hotel with history. In historic area on the river. Nice view. Quiet.
- Verified traveler (4/5): River view - Nice staff. Hotel is vintage and they try to add little items such as a rubber duck for the tub. Cute but the furniture needs updated and bathroom needs to be cleaner. River view is beautiful but is 30 yards from the train track and several trans from 10pm to 5am. Lots of history here but needs an update
- Rosario (8/5): - Great location
- Pamela (10/5): - Reception staff were excellent! Very friendly and helpful. Easy to walk to many restaurants and important sites. The site lists continental breakfast but it was much more than that.
- Lynn (8/5): - Liked: The staff was excellent - everyone from the front desk personnel to the cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. They are the hotel's most valuable asset. Room was reasonable.
Disliked: The jacuzzi - tub was stained and very difficult to get into for a shower. The artificial greenery was all over the place and too much for cleaning staff to cope with - very dusy leaves! This at least you can solve easily - get rid of them! They were old and unattractive at best. Bathroom tiles chipped and broken.
- Jon and Melanie (10/5): - Very caring staff. Older facility, but well built and cared for.
- Roy Wade (10/5): - Comfortable beds and always clean.
- Patricia (6/5): - It’s an old property that could use some updating. When the train went by the whole floor vibrated!
The toilet ran all time and the guests c pap machine sounded like dark Vader because of thin walls. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was mediocre.
- SAMANTHA (10/5): - We love staying at the French Quarter Inn! Maysville is a great place to visit and we enjoy staying at the Inn. The river views from the rooms are amazing! Lots of places to eat within walking distance or a short drive. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit!
- Scott (10/5): - Right on the Ohio River, neat old hotel.
- Amy (8/5): - Good place to stay and walk around downtown Maysville!
- Marcus (10/5): - We wanted a downtown location with a river view. We got that. The room was comfortable. There is a rail line behind the hotel, but it was not a problem.
- Glenda (10/5): - The jacuzzi tub with the rubber duck was a pleasant surprise. Loved the quiet location. Would stay here again.
