The room is very thoughtfully appointed, from a luggage rack for each suitcase, to any array of fresh towels and extensive amenities. They have thought of all of the expected items and many little details that contribute to the feeling that they care truly about their guests. The common space is generous, welcoming and immaculately maintained. The location is in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown Huntsville. And as if that isn’t enough, there’s the breakfast. Each morning we were presented with a different and unique gourmet breakfast consisting of at least two courses. The quality is on caliber with any fine restaurant and was enhanced only by the presentation, fresh ingredients and perfection in preparation. Now we will manufacture a reason to return.

No need for lunch afterwards. Definitely going try to come back some time.

I can imagine how great a visit would be in the summer with the gardens in full bloom. I will definitely be back.

The Muskoka room and the library filled with cookbooks are both cozy spots to sit and enjoy a game or a recipe. Darlene and Bob are gracious hosts who make you feel comfortable. The room we stayed in is gorgeous, fitted with luxurious linens and a beautiful ensuite. We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the very creative and delicious breakfasts. The location is excellent in that it is a short drive to downtown Huntsville, Arrowhead and Limberlost Wildlife Preserve. Echo Woods is the gold standard for b&bs.

• Chantel (10/5): - 3 words: Classy, Elegant, & Clean Echo woods was a tranquil place to spend our 1 year wedding Anniversary. The food was remarkable, so well presented every morning at 9am. We felt like we were being treated at our own private chef's kitchen every morning. The food was incredible, and she really ensured that everything was just to her guests liking. The room (the entire house) was beautiful and extremely clean. A real Luxe feel with high quality details in every inch of the room. One area for improvement, not that it is a huge thing and hey, maybe its a liability thing I'm not sure, my husband and I really wanted to have a fire some nights. We ended up not having a fire because it seemed as though they may have had to cut the wood and stay up until we were finished to ensure the fire is out. My husband and I like to have fires until 12 or 1 am some times so we felt bad if we would have been keeping them awake. We should have asked for more details regarding the rules or how things were done ahead of time though. Overall, I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to stay in a 5 star luxury B&B. Very close to boat launch, rivers and 30min walk to main strip for the shops. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

• JESSICA (10/5): - Echo Woods is perfectly situated just outside the downtown of Huntsville. It´s easy to grab dinner and access the highway to Algonquin and Arrowhead. Darlene & Bob keep the place absolutely immaculate! There are many options for relaxing once on the property and you´re encouraged to not only retreat to your room (which is comfy and private). As other travellers have noted, the breakfast is spectacular! It is delicious and satisfying and will keep you going all day on your adventures. Darlene & Bob have a beautiful home and they are generous to share it! 5/5 would recommend and plan to visit again!
• Nancy (10/5): A Lovely Retreat - Darlene and Bob are the perfect hosts, attentive and caring but just steps away if you want your privacy. Their beautiful home has several separate sitting areas, spacious bedrooms and a welcoming dining room. The breakfasts are outstanding- bring your appetite! The hosts often check in while you’re eating to make sure everything is just perfect, your coffee is hot, your plate is full. Despite having six people at once, there’s not a speck on the floor. We also enjoyed the large, well appointed bathrooms, definitely felt pampered. The neighbourhood offers a beautiful setting for walks, and the drive into Huntsville is not more than 5 minutes. A lovely retreat on a sunny fall day~

• Tyler (10/5): - It is a beautiful home set back from the city of Huntsville. The owners set it up specifically for a bed and breakfast. It has a music room, a dining room, a library full of cook books, and a very comfortable games room. We played with the beautiful chess set. The games room also has a small kitchenet with a fridge, plenty of glasses and a nice tea set. The whole house is beautifully designed. A plus is that you are given a key to your bedroom door so it can be locked when you leave. Our breakfast was a gourmet meal! It is also very filling. My advise is to have a small dinner the night before so you can enjoy the delicious breakfast. If you are looking for a retreat from busy city life this is the place to go!

The house itself is beautifully decorated, and features many cozy nooks to spend comfortable time indoors. The hosts are really welcoming and will go the extra distance to see to guests requests. They typically join you after breakfast for pleasant get-to-know-you chat time. The breakfasts are superb! Cooked with culinary expertise that would rival those of top-rated chefs! They are a real treat! And no need for lunch after one of these. The beds are excellent and the rooms are extremely comfortable. One item I would suggest is that, as an early riser I would have liked the chance to make coffee for myself in the common kitchen area.
