Considerando che sono arrivata che veniva giù il diluvio temevo sarebbe stata fredda, invece mi sono trovata molto bene e ho dormito al caldo tutta la notte (: Area in comune accogliente, bagni e docce abbastanza decenti e puliti. Lo staff molto alla mano e cordiale - thumbs up for them! P.S. La camera in foto è un po' così perché è stata fatta alle sei e mezza di mattina prima di andare via. Posizione un po' meh, ma comunque vicinissima alla stazione di Okayama.

• SHO (8/5): とても快適な時間を過ごしました。ありがとうございました。 - 古い建物を改修して宿にされており、内装や外装を見て楽しかったです。宿の特性上、共用部の音はそれなりに聞こえますが、皆様マナーを守って利用されており、不快に思うことは特にありませんでした。 特にありませんが強いていうなら、周りに晩御飯を食べられる場所が少なかったので、少し広い範囲で、飲食店のオススメなど、情報を案内いただければ、なお有り難かった、という程度です。
• Ana_ (4/5): - The had a kitchen with all of the essentials. Since my stay was during golden week it 2as the only accommodation I could afford that wasn't overpriced. There are only 2 bathrooms and 2 showers for all of rhw guests. I knew it was far from the station but carrying luggage made it feel further away and since the don't provide luggage forward service it was hard. The bed are smalls, I had to be careful not to hit my head with the upper bed. They didn't made the bed which was a first for me.

• Nadire (10/5): - Beautiful guesthouse on a lovely street in Okayama, the guesthouse itself was very calm, with all the amenities you need, small kitchen and teas and the room was simple and beautiful. Staff were very nice and the place was comfy and clean I should have booked more nights

• Julia (10/5): Amazing for solo travellers - - the staff helped with my luggage and gave a good explanation of the place. - the living room had comfortable chairs and nice lighting. Also talking to other people happened very naturally through the smaller space.

• Petra (8/5): - Immaculately clean, and staff very nice and helpful. All very basic, but just enough (you get a futon to sleep on, showers/toilets are shared as stated), and as a bonus, there's a little lounge and kitchen. For the price, all good, and I slept soundly. And the torii are cute. The neighbourhood looks a little derelict and there's not much there. (Maybe it was time of week/year - weekday in late March meant the shopping arcade nearby was kinda almost abandoned and it looked a little postapocalyptic tbh.) But you can easily walk to somewhere where there's something as it's ca 10-15 min walk from the train station, so not a huge problem or anything. As a warning rather than complaint, there's no 24hr reception, before 4pm, there's nobody there, so if you wanna store your bags, contact the property to discuss.

• Yoko (8/5): とりいをくぐると、そこは異空間 - スタッフの女の子の対応がフレンドリーで気持ち良かったです。宿泊者は若者ばかりかと思ったら、同年代の方もいて心強かったです。 古民家が好きなので、とりいをくぐる時に嬉しくなりました(笑) 併設のカフェでの朝食も、心と身体がほっこり暖まっておいしかったです。特に、フォカッチャは最高❗ 階段がキツいので２段ベッドの下にしましたが、頭を何度かぶつけてしまった。高さがもう少しあれば問題ないのですが〜〜

Staff was super helpful, even though I was bit late he stayed till late waiting for me to check in. If I knew earlier that property had private rooms, would have definitely booked the one. but dorm was ok as well 👌

• Hannah (9/5): Overall, the hostel was very nice and comfortable. - I really enjoyed the location of this hostel. Although it was a bit far from the train station, I liked that it was in a quieter part of the city. The also had lots of recommendations for different restaurants and such in the area which I appreciated. There wasn’t a designated area for my bags. There were small lockers for valuables, but I had to leave my backpack outside of my bunk at night. Luckily, I was able to shove one bag between the wall and my bunk, but I would’ve liked having a slightly larger space for my bags.

• Prim (10/5): - The staffs were really nice. I had an interview because I was doing job hunting and they were helping me prepare, and also asked me how it went. The place ambience also were calm and cozy. Quite a walk from the station, but the location is not bad.
• Kaat (9/5): - This is a very cosy and welcoming hostel. You can bring in your luggage early which is super convenient. The philosophy of the hostel is amazing, it a has a soul. Kitchen is well equipped, there’s the cutest communal space at your service. Bunk beds are nice and there’s a lot of options for extra heating, so necessary in winter. Staff is great!! Nothing

They also have a brochure/ map specifically curated to introduce visitors to the lesser known sights/ cool places in Okayama, which I found really thoughtful. They also have a spacious and well equipped kitchen.

• Hannah (8/5): Modern and young-feeling - - The room was nice and spacious, and I loved the decor - it was very "Japanese hipster" - Free laundry machine was useful! - I liked that they had a little complex built around the guesthouse, with their breakfast cafe and clothing shop and stuff - The atmosphere in the lounge was nice and I met a couple of people - They gave me a free shampoo kit to visit the local bathhouse, which I wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't pointed it out on the neighbourhood guide (also rode the streetcar thanks to that!) - The curtains in my room weren't wide enough for the windows so I was generally woken up in the mornings - I wish the check-out time went a little later so that I didn't have to take the Shinkansen - The lounge and stairways were a little cramped - The ventilation in the shower rooms wasn't great - I would have liked if the futon had been assembled when I got there instead of me having to do it at 9pm at night as a clueless foreigner

• 美香 (10/5): コスパ良し！ - スタッフさんが優しかった。 一緒に泊まっていた人達も民度が高かった。 朝5時台なのにスーツケースをがさごそしていた人がいたが、それは宿泊者の民度によるかなと思う。 夜は23時〜5時30分頃までぐっすり眠れた。

• 松葉 (9/5): 泊まるというより、くぐる - 本物の鳥居をくぐって入る施設と開かれた空間が良かった。　早めにチェックインしてゆっくり施設を堪能して過ごすのが良いと思う。金額も良心的なので、リピートしたい。

• Julia (7/5): Nice Place - The bedding was pretty thick and comfortable. They had a nice double sink with stools and mirrors, two showers, two toilets, a kitchen, and a shared spaced. Guests were expected to put all of the bedding on themselves. This took me about 30 minutes, on the top bunk, because I'm not used to Japanese-style sheets. It was a 20 minute walk to Kanazawa station which was a little far with a suitcase.
• Manon (9/5): Très cosy et très correct pour visiter Okayama et ses environs - Très chaleureux, on se sent comme à la maison ! Le salon est petit mais les très très agréable avec beaucoup de soleil le matin et il y a ce qu’il faut pour se faire du café et du thé gratuit; il y a une cuisine avec les essentiels également La maison d’hôte est dans un ensemble de bâtiments rénovés qui accueillent cafés et ateliers, super ! Un peu loin de la gare (environ 15min à pied) mais du coup dans un quartier calme Pas trop de places pour mettre le bagage (après tout le monde s’est arrangé lorsque j’y étais et ça passait bien)

• IDO (2/5): Not a pleasant stay, highly wont recommend - The price was fair, but calculating the issues, I would not recommend this place. I think what bothered me the most was the location- it is not where you want to stay. They are located in a dark neuberhood far from the station with no public transportation and nothing to do around. Secondly, they spread the toilet, washers and sink in a way that it would interfere every room, so you can hear everything everyone is doing. Combining this with the bright lights outside my room (from the window and the corridor) it was very difficult to sleep. On my last night there was so much noise that I woke up and went away at 4am.
