• Steven (6/5): - Start with the good - staff was friendly and always helpful. Also, proximity to airport is big plus and probably the only reason people stay here. Rooms were small with aged furniture. Wifi was spotty to no existent unless standing immediately next to front desk. Overall - ok. A little investment and renewal/upgrade by MGMT would make the facility much better.

• Carl (8/5): - I was quickly moved to another room after the air conditioner failed. In both rooms, the available blankets were not clean.
• Herbert (6/5): - I like the proximity of the property to the international airport. I also enjoyed the food especially the breakfast.
• Etoile983 (8/5): Close to the airport- easy spot to get a meal - Woodpecker is close to the airport and I've always passed it but not stopped to see what it's like. This year I met a friend there for a meal and the food and service was good. Had good range of options from local dishes to more Euro/American dishes.
• pau (2/5): - This property looks okay at night but during the day it was terrifying. The building still not completed basically it’s just a building site. The service is poor. The complimentary pick up is a joke. They will not leave until the airport is empty out and you were forced to wait in the airport for over 90 minutes.

• Sheila (6/5): - This is a very cheap hotel near the airport so a good location for a night’s stay before flying. It is very basic and tired but very cheap. You would not spend a holiday there. Transport to and from the airport worked well although the mini bus was extremely battered.

• Jean Vidal (10/5): - Bijzonder aardige en behulpzame personeel. Ze zijn bereid om kosteloos mijn boarding pass uit te printen. Hotel is zo dichtbij de luchthaven. Dit hotel is echter een aanrader.

Wi-Fi connection not available in room 120 and only one (Senegalese) TV-channel available. Not possible to borrow an iron to iron my pants (laundry staff weren't available in the hours before and after we were working). Extremely noisy - bring earplugs! First night someone was hammering on something somewhere for hours around midnight, 2nd night some kind of pump (!) made insane noisy outside the window all night. In summary, it works, but adjust expectations. The experiences matches the very reasonable price.

They are doing a lot of updates and building more rooms but they need to have beds that don’t have metal springs poking you all night, the shower head clogs and barely works, the drains are extremely slow in the shower. Please think about the comfort of your guest and improving what you have already

• Douglas (8/5): Airport pick up - Shuttle service from airport did not show up, waited an hour for it, then end up taking a cab costing me. Shuttle picked up was reconfirmed by hotel.com representative who called the hotel directly to confirm first.
• lenak111 (6/5): Woodpecker - The hotel is not the luxury hotel of course but the rooms are clean and simple , prices are reasonable and there is also a restaurant down there. It is ok for a night if you co e late with flight because it is close to the airport.

• CottonCasual (10/5): Excellent Service - A good quality hotel, very reasonably priced and usefully situated close to Yundum airport for late arrival or early departure. Fantastic helpful staff who were immensely helpful to me in the short-lived Gambian political crisis. I look forward to going back again.

• Bruce (8/5): Nice hotel near the airport - Staff was great, food was very good. I sent clothes out to be laundered and they came back pressed the same day. I would definitely sty here again as the price per night is a nice bargain. One suggestion is to improve internet access. Wifi was not accessible in my room, but the lobby and restaurant had it.
