• Airi (4/5): 残念。 - 部屋からに景色は良かったです。 それと、子供の誕生日にケーキを用意してくれたので、嬉しかったです。 2泊しましたが、1泊目はシャワーのお湯が出なかった。夜10時くらいでしたが、ホテルの電気は消灯されスタッフを探せずその日は水シャワーで我慢しました。 スタッフへの連絡手段がわからず困惑した。 電気のスイッチもドレッサーの後ろにあり、とてもつけづらい。 食堂は工事現場の隣なので、景色もないです。

• Daniel (10/5): - Great accomodation in Kandy. It is a bit further up the Hanthana mountains, but it is worth the trip - the location is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The food is delicious, and the owner, and the staff are friendly, and helpful. They organised a day trip in Kandy, transfer, and even a cooking class in their own kitchen for us. Das Zentrum liegt im Tal und auch Tuktuks fahren nicht gerne hoch. Daher bot das Hotel einen eigenen (aber überteuerten) Fahrservice an (800-1200 Rs, PickMe Preis liegt bei 400-500 Rs) - Keine Frühstücksoptionen und nur (enttäuschendes) minimales Frühstück (Weißbrot Toastscheiben und dazu an einem Tag Eier, am anderen Hopper nur mit Zwiebelchutney dazu einen kleinen (Basic) Obstteller, frischen Saft gab’s nur an einem Tag. - kein Housekeeping und keine Frage danach - Freundlichkeit wirkte aufgesetzt und teilweise hatte man das Gefühl, man wird überwacht (sehr viele Kameras in der Anlage & tägliche Anfrage über WhatsApp, wann man nach zurück ins Hotel kommt) - morgens kein warmes Wasser

• Tylar-Anna (10/5): Beautiful property with stunning views of Kandy. - The room was clean and spacious, spare blankets and pillows, nice little tea/coffee station. Big bathroom which was also very clean. I had breakfast and dinner here which were both delicious! It was lovely to sit on the balcony in the sun in the morning! Pathi was incredibly helpful organising onwards travel which was very appreciated. Highly recommend coming by tuktuk as the property is high into the steep hills of Kandy, around 20 minutes from the centre, but the hosts are very helpful at organising transport if needed. Also, the shower didn’t get very hot.

• Gabi (10/5): - The owners (Pathi and his wife and son Mack) and staff were extremely attentive and welcoming - by the end of our 3 night stay, we felt like we were a part of their family. I also came away knowing a lot more about Sri Lanka's history and current affairs (thanks, Pathi!). The interior design of the building is tasteful and welcoming, and the beds, including pillows, were very comfortable - the most comfortable out of all the places we stayed at during our sri lanka holiday. The food was amazing - breakfasts were very satisfying (with decent coffee!), and I highly recommend eating dinner there as well if you are seeking fresh and traditional sri lankan food. I'd also recommend the hike along the Pekoe trail (Pathi was our guide) and if you are into cooking, the cooking class with Pathi's nona/wife. In short, my family and I felt a bit sad when we left as it felt like leaving a family. If I could give this place 11 out of 10, I would :) 😀 Loved it all.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Perfect Kandy accommodation for those wishing to escape the city - We stayed here for 4 glorious nights in the family room.  Definitely the comfiest beds during our 3 week trip all around SL.  This guesthouse feels more like a boojie hotel with poured concrete floors, spacious bathroom and a huge wrap around balcony - beautiful views and peaceful at night. The hosts - Pathi and Subi, and their son Mack are super helpful and great with kids.  Subi is an amazing cook, we had dinner 1 night and wished we'd done that more, she also ran cooking classes - for next time!  Breakfast was also fantastic and varied each day.  Pathi and Mack arranged local tuk tuk drivers for us at a good price who were also very knowledgeable and gave us great local insights such as top snack stops and view points.  Definitely recommend for families and those wishing for a peaceful stay during their Kandy visit. Cannot fault anything
• Leena (10/5): Wonderful Family Run Hotel in a q uiet part of Kandy - Mack and his family are excellent hosts, our rooms were very clean and comfortable (with amazing viewd) and we had the upstairs terrace to ourselves. My daughter was unwell when we arrived and Mack was able to arrange a home visit by their family doctor within the hour to see her, which was amazing and such a relief. Honestly, we wished we had more time to stay and we would certainly return. Highly recommend. Nothing to report, everything was great.
• Emily (9/5): Toller Aufenthalt! - Eine wundervolle Lage mit tollem Ausblick, wofür man natürlich etwas fahren muss, mit einem Fahrer kein Problem. Mit Taxis haben wir keine Erfahrung gemacht. Das Personal war super freundlich. Tolles Essen (wir hatten zum Abendessen vegetarisches Curry und zum Frühstück hoppers). Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Bett hat sehr laut geknarzt und der Wasserdruck aus der Dusche könnte besser sein.

Dağlarında ortasında bir otel gibiydi. Ayrıca yolu çok zorluydu. Odada duvarlarda kertenkele vardı. Sabaha kadar ışık açık uyumak zorunda kaldık. Sabah gün doğarkende çatıdan patır kütür düşme sesleri geldi. Uykudayken bir anda korktuk ve gelen seslere uyandık. Muhtemelen çatıda bir hayvan geziyordu. Otel sahipleri odadaki suyun temiz olduğunu söylediler ama bir işletme sahibi olarak kesinlikle pet şişede su koymaları gerekiyordu. Bir yudum su içemedik. Asla emin olamazdık suyun temiz olduğundan.
• J (10/5): Je voelt je thuis in Hanthana House. - Een warm welkom. Ik verbleef in Hanthana House tijdens de cycloon Ditwah. Pathi en Suba hebben mij perfect verzorgd. Heerlijk eten en zelfs om 11.00 u koffie. Hanthana House ligt prachtig in de bergen. Wat een rust! Met de tuktuk ben je in 15 minuten in het centrum van Kandy. De persoonlijke aandacht en welgemeende interesse is zo fijn. Pathi wil van alles voor je regelen. Prachtige wandelingen, de zonsondergang en vervoer. En Suba verzorgt heerlijke ontbijten en diners. Door de cycloon verbleef ik er 6 nachten en weggaan en afscheid nemen ‘beviel’ mij niet.

• Joep (10/5): Superluxe voor een kleine prijs met fantastisch personeel - So far het meest luxe en schone verblijf tijdens onze reis in Sri Lanka. Super aardig personeel dat ook nog eens heerlijk kan koken en de waitress was echt het schattigste meisje ooit. De kamer was echt brandschoon en alles voelde superluxe aan, zeker voor deze prijs. Kandy vonden wij een nogal drukke stad, maar hier merkte je niks meer van bovenop de berg, dit vonden wij echt geweldig. Als je in Kandy verblijft is dit echt een dikke vette aanrader. -

However, Hanthana House exceeded my expectations and is even more beautiful. It was cool, clean and the beds very comfortable. The hosts Pahti and Suba were like family. We told Pahti that were not really interested in tourist sites and he suggested the Pekoe trail, which we loved. Suba made all of our food while we were in Kandy, including a picnic for the train ride to Ella. She makes the best Dahl I have ever tasted. I wish I could have stayed longer. We enjoyed a few lovely meals and had the best time here. The location is hard to reach, but it's also nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy.

• Ton (10/5): Beautiful hideout just outside the busy center of Kandy - Location and views are absolutely stunning! Great place to settle in after a long journey. Mack and his team the are amazing and keen to help you out in any way possible! Nothing - We are looking forward to the spa and restaurant they’re planning to build which would make this place even more spectacular!
• Reshma (7/5): - Location is bit far from the city centre. Bathroom had unpleasant smell, also room was bit congested. Meals are expensive for very basic taste.
• Felicia (10/5): - Our stay at Hanthana House was excellent. The owners, Pathi and Suba, welcomed us warmly and they, and their team, really showed the best of Sri Lankan hospitality. We were always welcome to join in any planned activities (the sunset walk was the loveliest start to our stay) and our needs were always perfectly accommodated. The house was very nice, and our room was clean, bright and well appointed with a balcony with views over the lush surrounds. It was perfectly located as a starting point to the Pekoe walking trail but we also loved the 20mins downhill walk into Kandy itself. If anything we just wish we'd had time to take the cooking class because all of the food was excellent. It was a short, but memorable stay; I couldn't recommend Hanathan House enough. • Juan Cruz (10/5): Jungle Views and Incredible Hosts - We had an amazing stay at Hanthana House. The room was spotless, modern, and the bed super comfortable – truly first-class quality. The balcony view over the jungle is just magical: waking up to monkeys and birds is an experience in itself. What made it unforgettable were the hosts – Paty, his wife, and their son Mack – who are true super hosts. They made us feel at home from the first moment, always warm and welcoming. Don’t miss the homemade curry with rice for dinner – absolutely delicious, a 10/10! This place combines comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Kandy.

Da non perdere: rapporto qualità/prezzo eccezionale. Unico appunto: purtroppo è lontano dalla città e ci vogliono 15 minuti di tuk tuk e nelle vicinanze non ci sono posti per mangiare.

• Kathleen (9/5): Stylish and Comfortable Stay in the Heart of Kandy - The vibe and amenities of the property were just as we expected—modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed right in the heart of Kandy. The staff were warm and very responsive; we could message them anytime, even late at night, and they were quick to assist. We also had the chance to meet the lovely property owners, who were kind and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. Our room opened to a shared balcony with a great view overlooking the city. They served us a delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast—an extra serving of yogurt would have made it even better! We had a bit of trouble locating the property, as Google Maps directed us to a different route, but the staff were helpful and guided us smoothly to the right place.

• Fiona (10/5): Thank you for our wonderful time here - We had a glorious stay here and it was a most welcome break from all the intensive travelling we had done on the journey so far. The property is absolutely stunning and we loved the aesthetics. The bedsheets were crisp and white, and the four posters very comforting like a cocoon. The room and bathroom were spacious and very tastefully decorated with local touches. We enjoyed the rain shower and the hotel grounds. Breakfast was also delightful and plentiful. Thank you to mama and papa who work tirelessly to run this establishment - you’re doing such an incredible job and we would love to stay again one day. In the meantime, we will recommend Hanthana House far and wide 😍 Nothing whatsoever. Beautiful property, beautiful owners and beautiful staff
• Marie (8/5): Amazing landscape! - The view is amazing, lost in the mountains with all the nature sounds to wake up in the morning! The dinner was very expensive and the beverages too. Be careful if you are afraid of drinking tap water (filtered) as they don’t have plastic bottles anymore.

• Natalie (10/5): - Neue, saubere Unterkunft mit tollen Gastgebern. Wir hatten bei der Ankunft Probleme mit unserem Fahrer und haben uns aus der Not heraus an den Inhaber gewandt. Dieser hat uns kurzerhand eingesammelt und selbst zu Unterkunft gefahren. Top Service! Die Unterkunft befindet sich in den Hills (wenn es regnet wird man Probleme haben einen Fahrer zu finden, der einen fährt). Aber ansonsten ist die Unterkunft eine absolute Empfehlung.

• Rica (10/5): Tolles Guest House einer tollen Familie - Die Familie die das Guest Haus betreibt ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Mack, der Sohn des Besitzers, hat mit uns ein paar Tagestrips im Umland gemacht und ist über die Zeit ein Freund geworden. Die Frau des Besitzers kocht morgens und abends wirklich sehr leckeres authentisches abwechslungsreiches Essen und der Besitzer hat uns viele Tips für unsere Weiterreise gegeben und uns bei der Planung geholfen! Das Hanthana House ist auf jeden Fall eins der Highlights auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise und wir können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Auch die Aussicht aus dem Guest House über Kandy ist klasse. Was auch noch zu erwähnen ist, ist das einfach alle super aufmerksam sind. Man erwähnt, dass man noch nie reife Jackfruit gegessen hat, und den nächsten Tag bekommt man zum Frühstück Jackfruit. Genau das gleiche mit Passionsfrucht. Man erwähnt, dass Passionsfrucht seine Lieblingsfrucht ist und Zack, bekommt man am nächsten Tag einen Teller mit Passionsfrucht. Einfach so.

• Kristina (10/5): Für uns perfekt. - Auf unser dreiwöchigen Sri Lanka Reise einer der besten Unterkünften und vor allem die sauberste. Das Zimmer war super sauber, absolut nicht zu vergleichen, mit dem was wir bisher erlebt haben. Das Personal zudem super freundlich und interessiert, aber nicht aufdringlich. Für uns war die Lage aufgrund des eigenen Tuk Tuks gut, so konnten wir abends dem Trubel der statt entfliehen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort schlafen. Mein Freund möchte erwähnen, wie gut und vor allem leise die Klimaanlage war ;) Da gibt es nichts!
