Also no water in the baskets in the thermal.

The weather was wet and cold , which meant that moving from rooms to restaurants had to be done in the wet and cold on gravel which is not ideal for ladies in high heels and dresses . Trough badly lit areas .

- Shauna (5/5): Great but left a sour taste. - Always love to stay at Cliff at Lyons as it is a very special place. The spa, the rooms, so luxurious and perfect. Upon arrival back to our bridal suite, our luggage went missing. I was informed that I (the bride) should call all my guests to find out where my luggage was. I contacted someone at (my) wedding reception to ask. After 2 hrs no sign of the bag. I was the one who located my own bag the next morning. My spare pair of bridal shoes are still missing. Also, my brothers belongings all went missing in the changeover of the rooms- including a suit bag with an expensive shirt & tie. We still have got no email from the hotel to explain or apologize for losing my brothers stuff.

- Dara (9/5): Cosy and Luxurious - This accommodation is absolutely stunning. We loved our cottage and the fact that it was dog friendly. It was warm and comfortable, the grounds are beautiful and breakfast at The Orangery was excellent. We also had a very enjoyable evening meal and loved the festive decorations everywhere. For the price and standard of the restaurant, the fact that no sides at all came with the mains was a little disappointing. We also feel that the place lacked a nice bar for after dinner. There is a space in the restaurant where we had a quick drink but it feels more like a waiting area for dinner, than somewhere to relax with friends for an hour or two. These are small things however and we really loved our stay overall and have plans to return.

The flimsy door to the room was terrible and gave a very cheap feel to the space. Two single beds to make up a king size bed does not a luxury hotel room make. Oldy worldy feel great but tired furniture scratched badly and leather peeling from the legs of the dressing table just screams in poor condition. Stains on the white curtains of the bedroom were horrendous. All in all so very disappointing and would not recommend

It was very transactional, they just swiped my card. I think these interactions are important as it can flag any issues that may have arisen. Other than that, it was great.

Just an amazing place from the minute you walk through the gates. I felt I had spent a week away instead of 2 nights. The exterior was very rustic and cute, and the interior was well designed for what should have been comfort. Quite frankly, we were upgraded to this cottage by the staff. We ended up in a 2-bedroom cottage for just my wife and me. This cottage had 3 toilets, 1 bathtub, and 1 shower. None of the toilets flushed properly. At one point, we had to locate a large pot in the kitchen, fill it with tap water, and dump it into the toilet to flush out the filth. Also, the fully equipped kitchen had appliances that were inoperable.

Staff were all excellent Only downside was the thermal village opening hours. Check-in wasn’t until 4pm and thermal village closed at 6pm and not open until 10am with check out at 11 so not much opportunity to use.

Unfortunately our room was dirty, cobwebs on the wall and a lot of limescale in the bathroom. It was also very cold and thermostats were removed. - Laura (6/5): Beautiful grounds and food, disappointed with the cleanliness - The grounds where incredible, truly something special! The food was absolutely delicious also! The room wasn’t clean, I felt like it hadn’t been cleaned at all from previous stay! The towels where dirty, dirty shower cap was found and very dusty! Disappointing for an expensive 4 star.

- Heather (10/5): Tranquility - Wow! From the moment you drive in you’re transported into a tranquil setting. We stayed for one short night (wish we had more time). We had dinner at the mill and a glass of wine and the pub on the property. The hot tub/sauna area did close at 6pm so we didn’t get to enjoy them. Wish I would have known that. The staff as super friendly and our rooms were lovely. We stayed in the lily pond room, which felt new. Its was lovely! Would definitely come back if you are looking for a quite tranquil stay.
- Catriona (6/5): Beautiful setting but rooms not up to standard - Overall the property and setting are beautiful, incredible dinner and lovely bar and breakfast experience - really nice spaces to enjoy at different stages of stay. Staff very nice and helpful. Thermal spa a lovely oasis. Bikes available to borrow to explore the adjacent canal path. The room we got let down the entire experience, seems to be converted corridor with partition. Badly insulated with noise, poorly & minimally furnished-no really comfort with polished concrete floor and no rug. sound from other room&guests audible. Other members of group got lovely new build rooms with character which enhanced their experience. disappointing and unexpected for such a property to let down with the accommodation like that. I do recommend a stay but take care with your accommodation
- Stefan Joerg (10/5): - It was like stepping into another world, everything oozed so much charm, elegance and comfort. The cottage was esquisite, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely

- gayle (7/5): Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting - The location and setting was beautiful. Room were lovely and had everything you could need. I had messaged weeks in advance that it was a special occasion and one person was vegan. At dinner, the only vegan option was substandard. There was bread provided that wasn't vegan nor was there any vegan butter. The meal was returned and a different option was provided meaning that we ate at different times. Disappointing for the price. At breakfast again..no vegan butter and all pastries contained dairy.

- Gillian (10/5): A piece of heaven - Stunning location set in the countryside of Celbridge. A tranquil haven for the rest and relaxation you need. A little piece of heaven on earth.
- Eamonn (9/5): - It's really beautiful and quaint, very peaceful. The rooms are amazing it reminds me of a film set but without the chaos. The staff are fantastic and the food and facilities are incredible. Great place to relax and unwind. We were celebrating a special anniversary and they had a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge at the suite on arrival. We received a complimentary dessert after dinner which was a lovely touch. It's very expensive but you get what you pay for
- James (9/5): Amazing and would definitely return - hopefully the weather would be equally beautiful ☀️☀️ - I loved the originality of the estate and the stunning gardens especially the fabulous hydrangeas Also the location of the restaurant is stunning and the food memorable . Breakfast is served in an amazing orangery and is just perfect I was not happy with the first room we were allocated - too dark and far away from reception -but the receptionist changed it quickly to a beautiful room overlooking the river with its own balcony

- J1875 (10/5): Fantastic, highly recommended - Everything was superb, staff were all very friendly, efficient and welcoming. Gorgeous room, spacious and nice bathroom with plenty storage. Grounds are stunning
- Marleen (9/5): Peaceful and charming - Lovely location in the middle of nowhere, yet 35 minutes from Dublin airport. So peaceful. Three different eating options. We had dinner at the Mill which was great. Room very comfortable. Bed was a dream. Right on the Grand Canal for endless walks or bike rides. Very charming and full of character. Door handle to the room/lock needs fixing. 4pm checking way too late.
- Daniel Marie (6/5): - Great location. Absolutely beautiful complex. Fun to bike ride along the grand Canal. The little shop for coffee and drinks was very convenient. Room cleanup was inconsistent. Carpet was dirty, trash not always taken out and bathroom not fully cleaned. The spa was unable to provide an appointment for my wife during our three day stay. Neither of the whirlpools were fully functional, and the saunas were not that hot. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Dinner service was slow, our server did not realize we had finished our main course have not been at our table for sometime. Walls in our building are very thin. We could hear the conversation conversations in the next room.

- Lorna (4/5): Very disappointing - Setting was truly amazing, breakfast was lovely and staff were most accommodating. Treatment in the spa was very pleasant. The overall cleanliness of the place could be significantly improved. The spa area with hot tubs, saunas etc could be something special, but is in fact an absolute joke.

- Naomi (10/5): Fabulous stay - The staff were so friendly and everyone said hello. The place was and smelled clean. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. The spa facility was fantastic and the staff even though they were so busy took time to take care of everyone! The place was so beautiful too it felt like we were part of Bridgeton for a night!
