- daniel (2/5): Don't be fooled - Place was an absolute dump. Pictures totally inconsistent with reality. Upon arrival, no towels, no toilet paper, no cutlery. Noisy dog in next room. Construction dust everywhere - they were building new rooms and banging all the time. Hard to believe Hotels.com was so incompetent as to choose this place.

It is very dirty, the paint is peeling from the walls, there is mold on the walls, the door handle fell off when we closed the door, the curtains are half torn down. the electricity cables are exposes and dangerouse. It dosen't look like the pictures. The worst place ever.
- Alexandre (2/5): Horrible - C'est une honte de publier des annonces mensongères de la part de l'annonceur comme de la plate forme, nous avons du reserver un autre logement tellement que le logement etait sale et insalubre, nous mettrons des photos dans tous les sites pour compenser votre manque de serieux et votre malhonnêteté. A eviter absolument surtout n'utilisez plus hostel pour sa gestion peu professionnelle de la situationet pour ce marchand de sommeil.

- Jean-marc (2/5): - Cela fait très longtemps que nous passons par expedia mais là je pense que pour louer des logements aussi insalubres que celui là il faut faire fort. Si vous voulez les vrais photos de l'appartement N°15 c'est avec plaisir. Pour boire un café il y a qu' une tasse, ce matin pas d'eau chaude et quand il pleut toute l'humidité rentre sans parler du chauffage qui refoule des morceaux noir de crasses. La prochaine fois que nous aurons à partir en voyage rassurez-vous ont déjà oublié votre site et pour longtemps.
- Emilie (2/5): away . Don’t go! DONT GO - I arrived at the appartement by 2:30 am , only to find out that the appartment mentioned in my email was occupied. I then called the number mentioned in the email, the man on the phone told me my apartment was actually another one. Fine, I go to the other appartement. I leave my stuff inside for me to go do some groceries as there was an issue with the catering on the flight, I hadn’t eaten in a while. I come back only to find myself struggling with the lock . The key was stuck in it and wouldn’t budge. I stood there trying for 20 minutes before calling , what I believe is the janitor??, he told me he was not on sight so he couldn’t help me, and told me to just keep trying. Mind you it is 3 am , I haven’t eaten and had been traveling from early that morning. I started to lose hope, thinking I was going to end up sleeping in the hallway that night. I ended up finding a screwdriver on some drawers in the corridor, which I used to force the lock around in order for in to get back in place. By 3:30 am I was in the room. The room have a dirty feel, from the mold on the walls, the bathroom seeming unfinished and the linen being dirty. I had no choice , but to sleep there for the night, but I was NOT going to stay there one more night than necessary. I called hotels to explain the situation, they were very sorry and told me they would contact the owner to get an annulation and hopefully a refund. We are now one week further and I still have got no answers.

- Sara (2/5): - The studio was not the same that what was advised on ebooker, and there were so much noises on the street that we couldn't stay in the room. Also people from other flats made party until 5AM we couldn't sleep! The WiFi didn't work and the TV neither. The bathroom was old and the towels dirty. We couldn't stay the whole stay booked as we couldn't even sleep. Awful experience I don't recommend and the owner didn't even tried to fix anything and talk with us about it.

- riccardo (4/5): - Perché non dicono che l'appartamento è nel bel mezzo del mercato del Carmel dove ovviamente i taxi non possono arrivare? La camera non ha neanche una finestrina (se non quella che dà sul ballatoio e che ovviamente non si può aprire. Per entrare nel letto bisogna farlo dalla parte dei piedi. Il terrazzino per gli ospiti da su una serie di tetti luridi, pieni di immondizia e sacchi di bottiglie di plastica. Non vi fate ingannare dalle foto che pubblicano Sconsigliabile
- Malgorzata (8/5): Zwiedzający - Dobra baza wypadowa na miasto i do innych czesci Izraela. Blisko do płazy, czystość okolicy i widok z balkonu pozostawia wiele do życzenia. Sam pokój tez wyglada w rzeczywistości zdecydowanie gorzej niż na zdjęciach. Dla osób, które nie wymagają luksusu a chcą spędzać większość czasu poza obiektem jak najbardziej Ok.
- Przemyslaw (6/5): Bieda piszczy, ale na upartego można tu przeżyć - Wejście do hotelu jest za straganem, wieczorami biegają tam szczury!!! Ręczniki śmierdzą stęchlizną. Na plus - fajny balkonik do dyspozycji, gorąca woda i niska cena.
- Verified traveler (2/5): STAY AWAY! - STAY AWAY! This is not even a hotel, it reminded me of a murder house! The pictures do not match the reality. This place is filthy and doesn’t match any standard for even half a star hotel. This would be a perfect place to run an illegal business or to film a crime scene. After seeing this place I booked a new property and left.
- Jimmy (8/5): Karmel Market Apartment - Pleasant apartment I liked its situation in the market. A little bit smelly after the market had closed but only on the street not in the apartment. Good security.
- Christopher (2/5): Keep away - Horrendous - This is the first time I've left a bad review for a hotel, but this was horrendous. Check in was meant to be from 3pm. I got there just after 4, as I was climbing the stairs to my room I was shouted at to come back down and go outside. 5 minutes later I was told it was because the room was still being cleaned. The cleaner/receptionist was vile, really rude, shouted and barked orders as if I was doing something wrong by being there. She demanded my credit card to photocopy it, I was not happy about this as it is not safe to give away credit card details. Both the owner and receptionist were shouting and screaming at me about this. Refused to let me check in unless they did this. I asked 4 times for a refund and not to stay but they refused. The room itself smelled faintly of sewage. My door handle was broken on check in, I pointed this out to the receptionist but she told me 'it doesn't matter '. Turns out it did matter, as on the last day I couldn't actually open my door. In order to get out I had to climb out the window and go down the fire escape. I went back in to find the receptionist to let her know, she refused to even listen. On top of the issues, I have also been overcharged. This place is an absolute disgrace.

I paid for the booking up front and halfway through the holiday decided to check my credit card to find out they had recharged me the full amount on check in. Innocent mistake I thought, I’ll let them know and surely they will fix it? Emailed, whatsapped, emailed again, and again. No reply. Contacted Hotels.com who told them to reply. Nothing. Got my credit card company to contact them. Nothing. At this point it’s been over a week and they’ve refused to contact me or acknowledge what’s happened. As for the accommodation itself: it was fine and I probably would have booked it again. The room could do with an in depth clean, one of the lightbulbs was missing and the bin wasn’t emptied at all during the week. WiFi was good, location is excellent. If you do decide to risk pay with a credit card to give you some protection! If you stayed recently, check your balance!

Check in was scheduled for 3pm, we arrived approximately 6 hours later and the place was not inhabitable ... dirty sheets, dirty towels, food on dirty dishes, etc. Management was not helpful and attempted to charge us twice for the same night lodging even though we did not stay due to poor condition.

They gave me a WhatsApp number to contact if i had any questions about my reservations and they would constantly read my messages and never respond. You’ve got to be kidding me. EXTREMELY DIRTY MARKET AT NIGHT. PILES OF GARBAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREETS. Rats and stray cats. Stay somewhere a little more outside the market.
- Catherine (2/5): - Do never book this apartment. First, I had to carry my suitcase over a knee-high pile up of trash in front of the door. Then, I had the unpleasant surprise of an empty key box. So I was not able to enter the apartment. The owner was not answering my calls at that moment so I had to book another hotel last minute. On top of that, I realized as I was going trough my credit card statement to be refunded, that they charged me twice. A true nightmare!
- Hermann (6/5): Günstiges Apartment, zentral gelegen - Das Apartment liegt in der Fußgängerzone. Tagsüber ist hier Markt. Gegen Abend wird mit einem Radlader der Müll vom Markt gesäubert.Anschließend wird die Strasse mit Wasser gesäubert. In der Nähe sind viele Restaurants. Der Strand ist ca. 5-10min entfernt. Das Apartment ist spartanisch eingerichtet, aber man könnte sogar kochen.Wlan hat nicht die ganze Zeit funktioniert. Erst am dritten Tag gab es wlan.Duschgels etc, selber mitbringen. Habe das Apartment für ca. 50€ gemietet und dafür war es OK.
- gordon (4/5): It was ok but rather confusing. - From the start there was a lot of confusion about which room I was in. There was no one to check me in and I think I stayed in the wrong room. It would be helpful to have someone guide you to the room and also maybe better directions to the hotel as it took me an hour to find the place. The room was clean enough, could do with a paint over and a sprits of fabreeze would go down well. Unfortunately during my 2 days there, I was disturbed in the night multiple times and when I left a review on the first night, I was met with a rather aggressive message and questioning my discoveries (which I have never left a negative review before the past week) and refused to deal with the issues. It certainly isn't the worst place in Tel Aviv but it isn't exactly the most luxurious place. After my experience I can't say yes book, but it's most likely a one off. The sheets is clean and it's a room in the end of the day.

- Marysol (2/5): Nothing good about this place - We arrived late to this place and I had made reservations for the City Penthouse apartment (unit 12). They even had sent me instructions as to how to enter the room. Well, when we arrived (around midnight), we found a group of people that had also made reservations for this room and were outside of the room because somebody ELSE had also made reservations for that room and was already occupying the room. There we were, two groups of four people each, AT MIDNIGHT, trying to find a place to stay! Finally we were given a room, but of course it wasn't the room we had been promised. To make things worse, the room we received had a bathroom that would flood when taking a shower. The room flooded so badly that the water came out of the bathroom, got the floor of the room flooded, our bags got wet and even the clothes got wet. The place flooded so badly that the water went out of the room and got the hall flooded and it caught other guests attention. Finally, again around midnight, we were moved to a different room, of course, not the penthouse that we had ALREADY PAID FOR. As if this was not enough, I had very expensive earrings with me that unfortunately were somehow lost in this apartment. Therefor I think it is a bad idea staying in such a place.

- Door (8/5): Kamer was oké. - Boven de markt, overdag daardoor veel geluid van buiten. Centraal gelegen, waardoor alles op loop afstand is. Uitzicht op oud leegstaand gebouw, en vuilnis op de daken van de markt kraam daken. Kamer was prettig om in te verblijven, ruim en alles wat je nodig hebt.
- Moonsu (4/5): 사진을 믿지 말아라...실망한다. - 사진을 보고 결정한다면 너무 실망할것이다. 호스텔이라 했음 가지 않았을 것이고 가족이나 3인이상으로는 적합하지 않은 숙소다. 같은 가격이라면 다른곳을 추천한다. 이 숙소는 주인이 관리하지 않아 대화가 많이 부족하다.
- Rakdan (2/5): Keep Away. Should not be on Expedia. Not a hotel. - This should not be listed as a hotel. It is a collection of neglected apartments in an area which is COMPLETELY unlit and un-patrolled by security or police at night. Owner double billed Amex to his personal account as Business Services. Left after one scary night. Refused to negotiate any refund. Expedia tried to help. It is now in the hands of AMEX and the Israel Tax Authorities and Ministry of Tourism. STAY AWAY.

Pero el problema verdaderamente es el entorno en el que se encuentra: tan sucio que el taxista ni siquiera quería dejarnos ahí: basura, bichos, pobreza, malos olores, descuido, ruina, oscuridad. Contactar con el dueño era cuanto menos imposible, conseguir las llaves una odisea. Nunca más. Booking.com, no os recomiendo seguir trabajando con Shlomo.

- J (2/5): couldn't get in to check in! - Checking in was a nightmare. Got to front door at 3pm and no one answered. Good samaritan helped to dial the contact number on the expedia confirmation slip and again no answer!! Waited and waited, and panicked that I'd have nowhere to stay. Fortunately another good samaritan helped to dial the number again, and this time very very luckily finally got the contact person to give me instructions to get the key to my room. A nightmare.

- Sebastian (2/5): Absolute Nullnummer, Finger weg!!! - Ich habe mich 24h vor Ankunft in Tel Aviv telefonisch gemeldet. Eine Mailbox sagte mir ich solle mich per iMessage oder Email melden und nichts auf die Mailbox sprechen. 4 Nachrichten (iMessage und Whatsapp) später und 12 Stunden später habe ich noch keine Antwort. Noch einmal habe ich angerufen. Gleiche Mailboxansage. Erneute Nachricht von mir dass ich um 17 Uhr anreise. 17uhr am Ort: eine Tür hinter einem Obst und Gemüse Stand. Tür zu. Standinhaber kennt den Inhaber der Wohnung nicht. Erneuter Anruf. Erneut Mailbox. Resigniert eine neue Unterkunft gebucht. Bis heute keine Reaktion des Vermieters. Miserabel!!!! Finger weg!

- James (8/5): Great Location - The apartments are very well located the door to get in is a little hidden from view but the Owner gave good directions. The apartment itself is a bit tired and can do with a refurbishment. There are a couple stains here and there but nothing major. If you can see past that then it is in the middle of ha carmel market which is good for food and shopping and not much noise, and the price is decent.

- Moshe ~ travell (8/5): Liked the location over Hacarmel market. - An older style single room apartment over Hacarmel markets. Suited me just fine.
- Stuart (2/5): Do Not Stay Here - There is no signage, no front desk, and no one here.It took two hours to find it. They tried to defraud me twice. One email demanding 440 NCIS and then a thug knocked loudly at night to say "Give me money". I paid Expedia before getting there. I was also told my credit card was denied. My card was good. Finally I told the thug to come back tomorrow at 8 AM and then got up at 4:30 AM To leave at 5AM. I did not sleep one minute that night and was certain I would be confronted or assaulted at 8 AM This was a nightmare.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Intriguing Neighborhood - The place is decent for the price you pay. It is difficult to find/get to, especially if you have a lot of luggage (pushing bags down thru 2 blocks of markets stalls looking for an obscure doorway ). Also had long flight of stairs to carry bags up. Manager very kind to get us in early since we had flown all night. We would stay here again all in all.

- Jessica (6/5): Buzzing location but needs maintenance - The location is right in the heart of the market which was great for buying breakfast and veg in the morning and accessing TLV restaurants, but the door to the room did not lock and couldn't be fixed and the shower head had no wall attachment so had to be held. the room is nice but just needs a bit of maintenance.
- SOOTIEN (6/5): In the midst of Carmel Market - U need a pair of sharp eyes to locate the hotel small door which is partly hidden by shades and stalls.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value - The apartment manager is very helpful and responds quickly to any questions. The room is large and very quite.
