Myles (4/5): Disappointed!!!! - I have stayed here before and had a good experience The room had an awful smell when we arrived, I called and asked for solutions, they were fully booked so couldn't move my room, I asked for air freshener and I was told they would look for some, after about fifteen minutes I walked down to the front desk and said, I will save you a trip and the man at front desk said oh yea, I have some fabric refresher here is the bottle you can take it to the room. I did and it wasn't great but allowed us to fall asleep. also the mattress on the sleeper sofa needs to be replaced it was like lying on a metal rack.

Maya (9/5): I think I found our hotel of choice when traveling back to Pittsburgh. Having separate bedrooms to fit all your kids in - Great location. It’s in a townecenter so restaurants and shopping all within a 1-5 minute drive. IHOP and Aldi are right next door, along with Taco Bell, Costco, among some others in very close walking distance in the adjoining parking lot. Newer property with decent free breakfast with waffle maker, 3 cold cereals, hot oatmeal, muffins, bagels, toast, eggs, bacon, yogurt, milk, coffee, and teas. Nice dining room with plenty of seating. Indoor pool with a baby pool, fitness room. Very friendly staff. I like that suites are available with two separate bedrooms and a full kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, silverware and serving ware and dish washer. It’s so hard to find a hotel with two bedrooms with king sized beds. Beds were comfy. Free parking. We will stay again when we come back in August and beyond to visit our son. Thin ceiling and walls. You can hear walking and running easily overhead, and since it’s near the airport there were a few flights overnight. But it was worth it to have separate bedrooms with kings sized beds and such a nice room and other accommodations like free breakfast, indoor pool , fitness room, and nearby restaurants and shopping. The pricing was pretty reasonable for all we got.

Jessica (4/5): - Comfy beds, very kind staff The price of $350 just felt extremely high and someone threw up in the pool. I also reached out to customer service and was never contacted. I just wanted to have a conversation.
Taqiyya (1/5): A traumatizing and horrible night - I have previously stayed at this location and had no complaints so I wanted to bring my kids to let them bring their new new year and experience peace before we moved into our new home. We were celebrating our new home and also taking it easy because my sister‘s death anniversary. What I experience was a very bad customer service experience and a worker who was under full intention to attack me and my children, and also have us removed from the hotel because he was having a bad night, even called the police who did not agree with him, but had to do their job and also offered to vouch for everything that I’m saying right now I will be escalating this matter legally because I also didn’t get my money back and was forced to leave. He harassed my children and came into my room without permission. It was a traumatizing experience for my children and myself and also a terrible way to bring in a new year after dealing with so much bad things this year. I will never return back this hotel. My children cried the whole way home, including my autistic son, who didn’t even understand what was going on and you’re making us leave at almost midnight in the middle of the night with nowhere to go. The staff and cleanliness, there was a lot of dust in our room and over the table where where you were supposed to eat and I cleaned it and did not complain

OnAir40856359769 (2/5): No hot water, no GM, and nobody cares! - Horrible experience. No hot water. Complained to the front desk and they said Engineering would resolve the issue. Next night, still no hot water. Front desk sent employee Henry to the room and he said the water should be 140-degrees. It got as hot as 104-degrees! He said there's only 4 tanks for 93 rooms so hot water is hard to get. I asked Roxie at the front desk if I could speak to the GM. She said she was not sure if Beza or Latarja was the GM and gave me the phone number to the front desk. Horrible service, issue never got resolved, and I asked Roxie to have someone call me and they never did. So two weeks later they get bad reviews.

The breakfast was great, lots of choices. I was warmly greeted every time I walked by the front desk. I will definitely stay here next time im in town.

lishak86 (6/5): Could be much better - This place has a lot of potential, but there were many small things that added up that really bring it down. 1st- The building needs a general face lift. Though the rooms were generally cleaned, the walls and hallways were streaked with scuffs, hallway carpets dirty, our carpet had a large hole in it (417), stove top was scuffed, etc. 2. The staff team is either very understaffed, or the daytime female and male staff members are very unhelpful. The evening staff member, John was very friendly and helpful! We had several issues during our stay where we needed help- a vacuum, pool towels (which were never stocked and we always had to hunt down), help with our refrigerator, etc. I personally was given either one word answers with no action, or waiting hours after we had asked for something with nothing happening (from the daytime staff). A refrigerator in one room didn’t cool and they offered a replacement refrigerator but said it would take all day for it to cool after being replaced anyway. I realize they can’t help if things break, but there should probably be checks to make sure rooms are functioning as they should. In the end , after condescendingly being told we were already being given the rooms at a discount (they were running a promotion, but I still expect a fully functioning room even if they are running a nation wide promotion) some points were given to us for the refrigerator, but it was after we were told that we could have taken our stuff down to their refrigerator (which was never offered while we were talking through the issue with them). The pool and hot tub was shut down for a day, which was the one day we really could have utilize it. We were told someone puked in either the pool or hot tub. Obviously staff can’t help what bodily functions may happen, but the night prior there were adults drinking in the hot tub, and you would hope that those types of contaminants would be more properly monitored to avoid these types of incidents. They also call themselves an airport hotel but don’t offer an airport shuttle. This place had the amenities to be a nice place, but overall, they fell very short. For the price we paid, I would not choose this location again.
Nick (2/5): No pool, no hot tub, no hot water - We booked the trip around the fact that they had a pool and hot tub for our child who was celebrating his birthday. Both were out of order. The pool became available late the evening before we left but the cleanliness was visibly questionable. The hot tub had caution tape around it and it literally smelled like fecal matter in the pool area. They offered us to swim at the pool next door which we settled for but it had just been filled and it was so cold we couldn’t swim. Then there was the hot water issue. There was none. We told the front desk and they simply said to let it run. We let the water run for 30 mins only to have room temp water to shower in. Every single day we were there, for all showers and different times of day. And last but not least, we were greeted with the smell of weed while getting in our vehicle from the group of people parked next to us. Even after moving our vehicle the smell lingered in our vehicle. You could also smell it throughout the hotel- in the elevator, the hallways, and my personal favorite, in the breakfast area. People gathered by the exits to smoke both weed and cigarettes often holding the door open. The breakfast was ok our first day but the second day was non existent. Had a fraction of what the day before had. Everything was standard bagels, cereal, egg beaters, oatmeal. The first day they had fresh fruit which was nice. The hotel itself was clean and nice so it’s a shame that there were so many negative experiences. Won’t return.

We thought we would get to relax after a long day but we had to clean our room and lysol it down before feeling safe to use anything. The appliances were ALL dirty, fridge sticky, coffee maker gross, the microwave was all dirty inside. The beds did not smell clean. Mystery stains on the chair and 2nd bed. The floor had dirty socks on it from some previous guest!! :( The bathroom was also not clean. We tried to call downstairs but no answer, twice. Truly just grossed out and disappointed. We did not stay there a 2nd night. We may never stay there again.

She offered to give us a first floor to make it easier with our dog, Baxter. She is a wonderful ambassador for Marriott. Our entire stay was outstanding . The breakfast, coffee, hot tub, pool and patio were all excellent. All of the staff interactions were very pleasant and helpful. We definitely will return! Water to be hotter!
Jennifer (5/5): Dirty! - Location was good Room was dirty. I was in a 2 room suite with a small kitchen. The kitchen was filthy and made me question the cleanliness of everything else. I’m hoping my bedding was changed from the previous guests but doubt it since everything else was so dirty.

When i arrive at the hotel at 11:30pm, there were no free rooms anymore. The customer service had the courage to lie that the internet was down and she could not give any rooms. I ended up going to the hotel next to TownePlace, at 1am!! There is not possible to give a zero star since they do not deserve anything. This experience was the worst ever. And I was not the only one in that situation.

Christina (10/5): - Wonderful stay! Every staff memeber was fantastic! KEN was TOP NOTCH! We were on a quiet floor, room was clean & spacious. Hot tub was nice, it was a little warm at first. A maintenance man happened to come in when were in there & we told him it was hot. He adjusted some things & for the remainder of the stay it was nice & toasty! Love the fire pit area outside of the pool. Was nice to just sit there & chill! Some of the walls in the hallways could use a touch up of paint, overall pretty well kept property.

We arrived in a large group - two families including 7 children - and John, the front desk manager on duty, gave us fabulous service. He made efforts to assign us to rooms that would meet our needs, and patiently provided us with all of the information we needed to enjoy our stay in Pittsburgh. I highly recommend this hotel.
Margaret (8/5): - This was a last minute switch because my prior reservation with Expedia fell through, so I liked that they had rooms big enough for our party, a pool, and it was reasonably close to the show we were going to see. We only needed to stay one night, but if I was going to stay longer, this would be an excellent choice because of the kitchen, two bedrooms & livingroom in the suites, plus the hotel amenities.
ThePianoManII (10/5): A welcome stopover - When we arrived, we were treated with kindness professionalism and understanding by the front desk agent, John. He was terrific and whatever we needed he helped out with. He's a gem. The kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast. I would definitely stay here again and would want to stay longer than just a stopover.

Sharron Wilkins (4/5): - Our second day there, we asked the front desk to have housekeeping remove takeout dinner trash from our room. The attendant made a note in the computer and said it would be taken care of, but when we returned to the room that evening the trash had not been touched. Worse, we requested (on two separate days) that maintenance fix the toilet in our room, which “whistled” incessantly after it was flushed. The issue was never fixed and nothing was done to accommodate us, so we sealt with that annoying sound every single time we flushed the toilet for days. When we checked out after four nights, the front desk clerk barely acknowledged (and did not apologize) when we respectfully explained the issues we had during our stay. We travel to Pittsburgh annually, and seek hotels in Robinson because it is close to family. This was our first—and last—stay at TownePlace. Beware.
