Guest Reviews
- Wynn (10/5): - This place is a little dream in the craziness that is Manila. Old world little b&b with an amazing, helpful staff. The room was small but perfectly appointed with a small balcony overlooking the street. Great art and furnishings around the lobby. Also with some amazing restaurants within close walking distance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): “ - It feels like ..”Home sweet home” . I love the place . Thanks , we enjoyed our stay. :-)
- Pierre (10/5): Great place - A lovely restored our home. Only real B&B experience I’ve ever had in the Philippines. The staff are a really nice group. Just so nice
- Lawrence (6/5): My favorite stay impacted by construction noise - I have stayed at La Casita many times...it's a very charming bed and breakfast with wonderful staff...unfortunately my stay this time was disturbed by all the construction noise from across the street, where a new building is going up. The streets are narrow so the noise was very loud. Usually the noise is from 7am or 8am to about 5pm...But one night at 2am there was loud construction noise which woke me up...I even had to go outside to investigate it...Fortunately, a neighbor had called the police and they told me they were investigating the permit...after that the noisy trucks drove away...everything else about my stay was nice as usual...There are several new and trendy eateries and bars in the area...its becoming well known for its food and drink scene...
- Lawrence (10/5): Another nice stay - I've stayed here many times... It's always nice... Very friendly and service oriented staff... And clean comfortable rooms with good with good WiFi. Several good restaurants in the neighborhood.
- Rob (8/5): - This is a beautiful property with antiques and complete restoration. It’s like stepping back in time. It’s also more like a home stay with the staff there all night to let you in the door and the rooms are like bedrooms and you have to be quiet when you come in. Highly recommended for someone who’s alone and doesn’t need privacy. You might just make a new friend at the breakfast table.
- Michelle (10/5): Nice Place to Stay - Place is convenient and close to restaurants and business district.
- DAIVA (10/5): Very stylish stay! - Was very pleasant, good value of money and stylish stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Place was nice and clean but small.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very helpful and friendly staff. My husband got sick, they were attentive to needs. Convenient and accessible.
- Marcos (10/5): Best of Manila - Amazing service of the employees and beautiful Casita.
- Art (2/5): This is not a hotel... - The building is difficult to find, because it’s a private house, it’s a bed and breakfast. The room was incredibly small, very noisy, some construction was going on, plus above banging, after a 15 hours of airplane ride, it was impossible to sleep. So we checked out the same day, found another hotel. They offered to refund 3 days out of the 6. Big deal. I see it’s a 4.5 I don’t understand. Maximum a 1. It really is a nightmare. But everybody is different, maybe people out there who like to live in a 3x5 meter room. Dining area with 1 table, and with construction noise outside their window.
- Ian (10/5): The staff was wonderful - The staff made my stay so comfortable. They were always available and so helpful! The La Castita reminds me of Our home growing up. It's almost like my family and friends we're there as well. It's a homage of what a classic chic Filipino homes is. John did our country a tribute for showcasing a warm hospitable filipino home for visitors and family alike. Well done. Salamat
- Lina (10/5): - Amazing house. Hey clean and comfortable bed. Would definitely stay there again.
- Jerick (10/5): This is bed-and-breakfast at its finest! - This is bed-and-breakfast at its finest - without it being overly overpriced! (Pun intended.) The house is tastefully designed and artfully decorated, and the staff are amazing! Special thanks to Jena and Sol! And regards to Sam! (Yes, ask about him when you get there.) :)
- Nadia Rochelle Palomar (10/5): Treasure in Makati - It was a perfect staycation. I found a gem in the middle of the busy streets of Makati City. The place is very nice and quiet. Just perfect!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect little place - The room is very small, but it was a very nice bed and breakfast.
- Rick (10/5): Neat hotel, great staff and nice clean rooms. - This hotel is like a charming older house that has been restored with attention to detail. The La Casa Mercedes hotel is a really unique option when staying in Makati. The hotel is located near a lot of neighborhood restaurants and the Power Plant Mall is just minutes away.
The staff at the hotel is very helpful and they really take care of your needs. The breakfast served each morning was excellent. Everything about the hotel was a pleasant surprise.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. La Casa Mercedes has the feel of a Bed and Breakfast and it is really neat to see what was done during the restoration of this hotel. The kitchen is something to see and it looks just like the time period of when the house was new. There are a lot of restored vintage pieces of furniture throughout the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very quaint place. Very clean. Staff is very friendly. One just has to bring neccesities like toothbrush/toothpaste as it was not provided (maybe just in my room at that time?). Hot & cold shower did not work well in my room too. But other than that everything was great.
- crishie2 (10/5): Quaint, cute hotel with great staff - We stayed a quick overnight before we flew to El Nido and it was wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer! The woman who checked us in at night was so friendly and we arrived late! The facilities were incredible. I just wanted to keep staring at how beautiful they made it. Room was comfy. Breakfast was also nice. Only downside is the taxi driver from the airport couldn't find it with the address on here. I recommend contacting them in advance and asking for specific instructions to give to the taxi driver. Our taxi ride FROM the hotel to the airport the next day was 1/4 of the price from the night before when our taxi driver couldn't find it. Also, there is a place they keep placemats that had little bugs. Everything else was clean and I'd stay there again BUT they should check that area out. The other placemats were fine.
