• alihshaban (8/5): An experience for sure lol - It’s a nice place but it’s mainly hundreds of 18-19 year olds partying. If your a couple on a vacation and especially have back or leg problems or handicapped, pass on this. Everything is steep step hills up and down. The facilities are great. The club is very big but nice, but if you’re looking for a quiet time, this is not the place for you. I stayed a week and I didn’t see one person over 20 years old lol. But they do stop the music earlier than all clubs so that’s a great thing. The bus everywhere is outside the hotel for easy transfer. They pick you up from the ferry and when you leave, just hop in the bus. Overall, it’s pretty good, but it’s hundreds of high school people. The beach in front of it is very nice too.

• Alastair Neil (10/5): A gorgeous Boutique Hotel above Mylopotas Beach - This gorgeous little 40 room hotel situated above Mylopotas Beach hits the sweet spot! Well designed, comfortable room and bathroom, very comfortable bed and with a wonderful verandah overlooking the beach. Staff were a highlight, amazingly friendly and attentive. Great breakfast! It's an easy 10 minute stroll downhill to the beach or an easy 20 minute walk into town. Pre-arrange the shuttle (6 Euro) for ferry pick-up/departure. Thank you!!! I'll be back!!!

• E390FUerikab (10/5): Amazing views - We are leaving the hotel tomorrow, and we had such a great time for the last 5 days. We had a room with a large balcony and sea view. The view from the hotel is amazing. The service is second to none. The breakfast is good, also you can order food at the pool bar until 9pm. The food is very good and affordable. They also have happy hours at the pool bar between 4pm and 6pm, when the cocktails are 50% off. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. Mylopotas beach is walking distance and Chora is also very close by bus. They offer car rental, you can pick up the car at the hotel. We would be back in a heartbeat.

• 138andrewp (10/5): Lovely hotel with breathtaking views - Lovely hotel with excellent views over the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is good if a little repetitive. Our ferry was delayed due to the weather but the Far Out team were still there to collect us from the port at 2am! There are a few little things which could improve the hotel, there was no water in the room on arrival and no glasses plus breakfast has tinned fruit salad rather than fresh but I know I am being nitpicking!

Incredible view and the employees were very kind. My only complaints would be that the bathroom smelt like sewage from time to time, probably a plumbing issue. And they also hit you with a €3 a day charge at the end of your stay. 4/5

(Told us we could pay card originally)

• Madeleine (10/5): Great place to stay! - I had a truly great stay at the Far Out Hotel and Spa. The staff were very nice and helpful. I stayed in one of the suites overlooking the ocean and it was beautiful. The room was clean, AC was great, beds were comfortable. The pool area was also very nice, however I preferred the beach to the pool as there were limited spots. Would definitely stay again!

• Barbarossa1967 (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Friendly Staff - Grate location. - It is a value-for-money hotel and apart from the excellent location, the staff is very professional and always by your side to help. All rooms have a sea view of the Gulf of Mylopotas and were always clean and with an updated design. Bus station just outside of the hotel you can quickly go to the beach or to Chora of Ios (for nightlife) or to the port.

• melaniee_cote (2/5): Great views, extremely disappointing experience - The first night was very nice. We were allowed to check in early and had a beautiful room with a beautiful view. The room number was 26. First night was perfect, the room was clean and everything was great, the air conditioning unit worked beautifully. On the second night, we arrived to our room at 4:30 AM, exhausted, to find our bedroom infested with ants. Not a few ants on the floor, but everywhereeee on our bed and on and under our pillows 🤢. I would understand if we had open food in our room, but we did not. We called reception and someone came to see our room and saw how bad it was (you could see the look of despair on his face) and changed us to room 15. Upon going into that room, there were ants everywhere on the floor. We had to make the decision: sleep in a bed infested with ants, or sleep in a room with ants on the floor as there was apparently no other clean rooms available (which is very surprising as it was low season and most of the rooms were empty (facts as we could see at the reception which rooms were available and which rooms weren’t since you could see the keys)) We had no choice but to take the room with ants on the floor, air conditioning barely worked, stains on the bed and garbage from the previous person. It was not fun waking up in the morning with ants on our arms, especially when I hate and am absolutely disgusted with ants. At 10am we were told a new room would be ready for us and that we would have an upgraded and better room. We got room 5, which yes was beautiful and yes was an upgrade from room 15, but not an upgrade from room 26, as it was the same room, and the air conditioning was not working well. Unfortunately, the service and cleanliness declined throughout our stay. I have reached out to the hotel numerous times and keep getting ignored. It’s been 2 weeks and am still waiting for the hotel to respond back. As someone who has worked in the hotel industry for 5 years, never have we EVER ignored a client, especially when they’ve had a bad experience. Between that and Georgina’s passive-aggressive attitude, we are beyond disappointed. This is such a shame as day 1 was fabulous. Also, if you wake up passed 9AM, expect to have no breakfast. Definitely great views, but if you experience anything bad, you won’t get it resolved. Hoping to hear from the hotel at some point…

• ellyf263 (10/5): Check out the pool bar - This hotel is romantic and has an amazing view of Milapotas. I cannot speak enough on the pool and the staff. The bartender is a master at what he does. He makes the best piña colada’s I have ever had. I go back yearly just to see him! The food is great as well.

• UKmeded (10/5): Bright, modern, well run, and very relaxing - We’re staying currently at this lovely hotel. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the superb Mylopotas Beach, and about 20 minutes’ walk from the very traditional main village Chora. From Chora, if you’re feeling energetic and have good shoes, you can hike the island’s main trails. We did a 16km loop today, taking in the superb Skarkos early Bronze Age archaeological site, Profitis Ilias Peak, and the Odysseas Elytis amphitheatre. Our room at the top of the hotel is clean and bright with a large private balcony, and there’s also a generous terrace at the pool bar. Friendly professional staff, a very relaxing vibe, and decent breakfasts and bar snacks offer everything we need.

• srk20152015 (10/5): Great week away in September. - Lovely hotel, made very welcome and great hospitality. Disappointed after a late ferry arrival that the bar had closed at 10.00am. However our room, balcony and view were perfect , thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Short walk down to Mylopotas with a beautiful beach and a nice selection of Bars and Restaurants. Would definitely return at this time of year.

Beautiful view from superior room and walkable to the beach which was far better and less chaotic than those in Mykonos. Over foil value for the price.
• Monkeylegs69 (6/5): Summer 22 - Spent a week here and if honest was disappointed in room it was not clean, it was dusty and grubby, and the bathroom plastic curtain needs binning the sink was dirty, I paid quite alot for this room and expected better. The cleaners sit on stairs watching stuff on their Phones and need to be careful what they say about females who walk past as I speak Greek and do not take kindly to being commented on. The bar man makes up the prices im sure and is not exactly the most friendly of people. Penelope front desk is lovely that's as far as I would go, one min staff say hi next min they walk past without looking. The young girl in breakfast room was rude to me one morning when I asked for a cup for ny coffee, she basically said wait, an never came back I went and got a coffee from the bar by pool but got charged. Would I return NO!

Väldigt continental, som fattade en del saker som är basic bland annat grönsaker, löskokt ägg, fler ost alternativer än bara en. Jag vill rekomendera Detta hotellet Till unga fest glada folk då vi Hörde de ropa och smälla i dörrar på nätterna och tidigt på morgonen något som vi uppskattade väldigt lite.
• 648marak (6/5): Review from a wedding traveller - Staff was super helpful and kind; always smiling and helpful to all our questions. We were allocated at room at the top of the hill...steps could be a challenge especially when you carry your own luggage. The view though of Mylopotas beach from the top is rewarding. the room was simple still with a nice design. Bathroom was rather small but this was not an issue at all. The shower curtain is of very poor plastic that cannot be cleaned (most probably) and it was really dirty. Breakfast is not that great quality wise, considering that the island has its own production of various types of cheeses and of course the fact that your are on a Greek island you expect to find local produces with great flavors.

• Finngal2 (10/5): Relaxation at a great price and place! - I stayed at the Far Out Hotel and Spa to relax. It is just the place you need to chill out. My room had an extra large terrace with a shaded area with a lounging couch I spent many hours there reading and looking at the stunning view of the beach and the sea. Breakfast is served in their breakfast room, on the terrace or can be brought back to your own terrace. Good breakfast but the same every day. They should add mor variety. The rooms are VERY spacious and comfortable with AC, safe, refrigerator and rain showers. I booked an appointment in the spa for a massage and was very pleased. There is a pool and the bartender Ilia, is a master at his craft and is fun to hang around and chat with. The hotel also provides a van transfer to and from the port which is worth the fee. I can’t wait to go back! Off season prices are very reasonable to stay here.
• Samuel (4/5): - I found the hotel was far out, hence the name… it’s like a 30 minute walk to the city and 20 to the beach.. but it’s on a hill so you’re walking up and down hills. I ended up renting a quad for my stay which worked well and made it a lot easier to get around Nice room with a beautiful view, check in was easy and cleaners cleaned my room daily. Nice Greek salad I ordered from the restaurant it was delicious. The pool view is amazing, overlooking the beach. Loved the shuttle service for 5 euros extra each way to and from the port, super convenient and easy. A few things made my stay less enjoyable, the air conditioner didn’t, I left my key in the power slot for 3 hours while I went out with the air conditioner on, when I got back my room was so hot that it was cooler outside of my room, I called reception he came to fix it but I woke up plenty of times in sweat because it was so hot. The pool was pretty cold, more cold then the beach water. The barman at the pool bar has very poor customer service and charges different prices that are on the menu, I asked for a house wine a 5 euro and he charged me 7 because he didn’t have anymore house and it’s a different bottle, I wouldn’t have had a problem if he would’ve told me before but he didn’t and he doesn’t let you drink alcohol other then that what’s purchased at the bar that was the only major unpleasant experience I had here. The reception workers are very nice but seemed lost at times. all in all, I probably wouldn’t stay here

We didn't have a problem with the staff here but, found out of everywhere we stayed in Greece, they were the least helpful in a sense where we could tell they didn't care for the younger crowd this island attracts and so weren't overtly friendly.

• fhouhoutas (10/5): Most amazing staff - The room was excellent and central to the main town (shops and restaurants)(20min walk) and to the main beach (5-10min walk). The staff were absolutely phenomenal and lovely to deal with. Very well priced stay and would recommend.
• Katehall24 (6/5): Average! - We recently spent 3 nights at FarOut Hotel & Spa. The view from the rooms is absolutely spectacular & we really enjoyed the pool so I assume this is what you’re paying for! However the actual rooms were very disappointing. There was no table on the balcony, no cups in the room, a terrible shower and ants everywhere. The WiFi also didn’t work in our room...it must have been a dead spot for connection. This meant our TV also didn’t work. Overall I would say it’s not great value for money.
• Travel_Lust_Dushyant (8/5): Excellent location .. Nice property but need a few Improvements. - Farout is probably the best to stay when in IOS. Main plus point is the location right on the Beach. It is a wide spread property and with the best beach club in town. It serves never ending parties on the Wildest Greek Island. There are many water sports availble at the beach right at the door of farout. Also it is well connected with local buses to town centre. Was just disappointed with breakfast as very few hardly 4 items were available to choose from and that even dint taste good. Needs much improvement in this part. Apart from food issue i had an amazing time partying at the best beach club in town.
• cameronr134 (10/5): Great pool area and amazing views - This hotel had very spacious rooms. Shower could be a bit bigger but. The views were amazing from the pool area. The pool area is fantastic. The bar tender at the pool makes excellent drinks and is very entertaining. They are also well priced. Food options at the pool were great and well priced. The spa is reasonably priced and did a good job. There are transfers during the day down to the resort and beach or you can take the local bus down which is only 1.80€ each way and the same price into town. They come every 15 minutes. Breakfast was very basic. There were lots of wasps around the breakfast area. A very nice hotel for an action packed party Island

Even though everything is well organized, the location is superb and the vibes quite high, it is difficult to suggest it for plus 30 couples or families.it is mostly organized for youngsters. The reason though I do not put 5 stars is the really bad quality of breakfast. Neither the variety was even acceptable. Otherwise everything was fine...

The view from the room, the pool and the breakfast area is amazing!!! The location is also convinient enough with a bus stop just in front of the hotel! I'm looking forward to coming back soon!!!

And the queen bed was two singles pushed together, which makes things interesting. Location was perfection and transfers were amazing.

We were told there would be shuttles to the beach and back but once we finally came around to ask for one they told us to walk (which isn’t far but still). We also had an incident during our stay and they didn’t really compensate for it.
• thermy123 (6/5): If you like a party - then this is probably the place you will want to visit - We stayed here in April - before the season really started (in fact we were the first guests of the season and the only people in the hotel). As a result, a few things werent quite on point but i am sure these will be sorted if you visit later in the year. Breakfast was ok - a little sparse but enough to start the day with. The rooms were basic - and a little tired, more suited to party-goers who will only want a place to crash at the end of the night. You need to take the bus or a taxi to get into the town centre or the port - as the walk is not for the faint hearted.
• Terah (4/5): - The beds were terrible. If you enjoy sleeping on plywood then this is the place for you. Showers are tiny. Bashing elbows while washing hair or shaving , water gets all over the floor since there is no door only a curtain. Don’t let the name fool you, there is no spa.
• Giuseppe (6/5): too many stars given - Upon our arrival staff was very friendly. When we saw our room we freaked out. Plumbing issues, shower head was broken, and loud noise came out of the pipes when we took our shower. Mold everywhere. We complained and little was done. Upon a second complaint staff were willing to change our room but the other ones were not any better. Once they saw our level of dissatisfaction the manager did order new plumbing accessories and a major clean up. We appreciated their efforts and it was much better. Beds were stiff as many complained on Trip Advisory but that was the least of my worries. Room view was amazing. The bar could stay opened a little later. Barman was very nice. This hotel is more for young students. Couples should shell out more bucks and be more secluded in another area of the resort if they are looking for more intimacy. Breakfast was nothing to brag about and quality was not up to par with other resorts. I don't think I can recommend this place as a 4 star.
• lisaoriordan (4/5): Meh - The whole experience was somewhat underwhelming. Looks can be deceiving and it looked fab! When we were checking in the receptionist was a little cold. We were a little early so we waited at the pool bar - the bar man was very friendly and professional. We then went to our room. Lots of steps - no offer to help with bags (although there was a free shuttle from the port). Room was standard enough. Aircon was very noisy. Another difficulty was taking the passport on arrival. There’s no reason for this - when questioned I got no reply! There’s free parking which is great. Breakfast is mediocre at best. Hairdryer is useless. The big problem was though on our second night our room was full of ants. On the floor, under the pillow and on the sheets. Now I must admit that we went to reception @ 12:30am and were moved straight away. Night porter was more than helpful. I wouldn’t be returning.
• Kathleen (6/5): - Beautiful place however check in was a little sketchy..... woman took me to my room.... tons of stairs ... did not carry my bags.... then took me to a room that was occupied.... people's luggage still in the room....seems like they do not know who was in what room... then had to wait and was taken to a different room with not as good of a view
• Jessica (10/5): - Close to the beach. The hotel itself was beautiful and beautiful views. Loved the pool and how close it was the town and beach. Loved that the hotel provided free shuttle from the Ferry Port and also to Far Out Beach club for free. Awesome idea!
• Ashley (8/5): Good location, friendly staff - We had a nice stay at this hotel- they picked us up from the port and had a shuttle service to the beach front (they have another property on the beach that is a hostel, but you can use the facilities there). This hotel is nice with a good breakfast, but the hostel on the beach is definitely a party place with 18-22 year olds (think spring break). As this was a family trip, it was maybe a little more party than we wanted, but we had a good time. There are plenty of other chairs/umbrellas along the beach that you could pay for that seemed quieter. We had a car for 1 day to drive around and sightsee. Definitely would recommend going to Pathos for the sunset if you go to Ios.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel with great views - Far out hotel and spa was excellent accommodation. The room was very clean and beautiful views. It's a short walk to far out beach club and there's a bus stop right out the front of the hotel if you'd prefer. Would definitely recommend.
• craig (10/5): Solid 3 star (maybe even 4 star) - We stayed here for 3 nights while travelling around the greek islands and absolutely loved it. The hotel is in great condition (looks recently refurbished) and has what must be the best view in Ios. The staff are super friendly and helpful and bent over backwards to help us when we were running late to catch a ferry (thanks guys!) If I come back to Ios this will be my go-to hotel, I highly recommend it (and I am used to staying in 4 or 5 star hotels).
• Neil (10/5): Amazing Villa!! - We had an absolutely phenomenal three night stay at this property. The villa with Infiniti pool overlooking Myloplatas Beach can't be outdone. We had the biggest smiles on our face each morning waking up to that view. I can't say enough good things about the place! We'll be back next summer 110%!!

The room wasn't cleaned properly with broken glass bottles still on our floor, the shower head broken and no longer attached to the wall. I've never slept in a bed so hard, it left my partner and I feeling bruised and sore.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - The beds in this hotel were very uncomfortable. If you like sleeping on the floor then you will like the beds. It's also not right next to the far out beach resort so you will have to wait for the free transfers down to the beach as the walk is about a 20 minute walk from the resort. The bar tender at this hotel is amazing though, he was very accomodating and knew his stuff. Very friendly and polite.

• Al (10/5): Luxury Villas are incredible - We stayed in the Luxury Villas and they are amazing. The view is spectacular, the service is amazing and the experience was generally a 10 out of 10. We loved Ios, is is such a beautiful island, and we recommend this hotel 100%.
• Benjamin (6/5): Close to beach - Photos are deceiving! The room is very small with decent size two seat balcony. My shower had black mildew all around the perimeter of the base. The bathroom is so small, you can barely shower if you're tall or bigger person! The beds are rock hard stiff! Other than that, it is very close to beach, which the beach does provide free tiki umbrella & reclining beach chairs! The food across the street is ok & drink prices are ok. PS, he hotel does offer free shuttle service to and from port. Also, clubs and bars only 10 minutes away walking
