- Inger (8/5): Lovely place. - Very nice inn. Breakfast was very good. Great shower, comfortable bed. Friendly staff. We had a ”petit” room, which of course was very small. But it was comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size so for a short stay we did not at all mind the tight room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very interesting place - Very interesting place. The location was exceptional with Nauset Beach within walking distance along with Pricilla Landing. Room was nice, however, a dormer took up half of it which made that part of the room unusable except for a TV. I did not have my own bathroom, bath towels were not replaced and it also wasn’t cleaned. I did receive one set of towels if I put used ones out. They had an excellent breakfast each morning that was available for a couple of hours. Small breakfast area and a sitting area outside. Grounds were very nice with a pool, which I didn’t use. Excellent, very small staff, so very one knows your name….Overall, very pleasant experience. Next time I’ll ask for a different type of room, if it’s available. It was almost like a very expensive boarding house. It was pricey, but it’s all about location, location, location.

- Suzanne (9/5): I’d Return! - Guests and hosts are super friendly. Many guests return every year at same time fir annual respite so they know all about the area. My tiny room 11 was perfect for me traveling solo. Love after hours check in. In better weather expect fire pit would be fun congregating point. Cold breakfast each morning was very attractive and tasty. Loved afternoon snacks left out to help ourselves. Appreciated list if local restaurants. All info on buffet table was very helpful. Hard to think of any negatives but could suggest another sign before driveway. At night arrival hard to find turn first time. Ideally there could be comfortable place to sit. One afternoon I had few hours to kill. Had to sit alone in my room. A comfy chair somewhere would have been nice (assume in nice weather I would have sat outside).

I loved the homemade muffins, egg cups and sliced fruit. My husband loved the yogurt choices! We didn't want to go out to eat since the food at the inn was so good! I think the next time we come, we will book farther ahead so we could stay in a larger room. It was a little bit tight for us!

- Martha (9/5): Lovely B & B with easy access to Nauset Beach. Location is great for exploring Cape Cod. - Breakfast array was lovely with several choices each day. I appreciated that the menu was slightly different each day, but with staples (like yogurt) always available. I loved the outdoor seating. The proprietors were helpful and friendly. There were beach chairs available to borrow to take to the beach. I may have missed it, but a heads up that some of the rooms are up very steep stairs would have been warranted. The only other thing that could have been improved, in my opinion, is the quality of the coffee. After the first couple mornings, I just had water and then got a good coffee up the street as I was heading out for adventures.

- Haley (10/5): I would 100% stay here again !!!! - Peter and Denise are great hosts. We talked with Peter a bit on our first day staying, and we were impressed by his passion for taking care of the Inn. He is a very down to Earth person, and you can tell he works extremely hard to make everything perfect for his guests!! If I had to change anything (which I wouldn’t) I would say it would be nice if breakfast went until 10 . However, that is a personal preference from me because I sleep later on vacation.
- Rachel (6/5): Not worth the money. - The grounds are lovely, well maintained with beautiful flowers Not impressed with the hospitality. In summer 2023 Covid protocols still in place for self check-in. During the pandemic, I understood the need for them, but at this point it seemed like lazy hospitality when observing others getting welcome tours and given recommendations for activities. I understood a continental breakfast was offered, but muffins made from mixes, no protein except for hard boiled eggs on single serving plates and no seasonal fruit though it was the height of berry season conveyed cutting of corners at every opportunity. I knew I’d booked a small room, but expected comfort for the price payed. However, the bed was uncomfortable, the window unit air conditioner reduced sunlight, never cooled the room so was constantly on and it (or something else) gave the room an odd smell. There was a large mini refrigerator in the room, but it had no freezer shelf making it useless for beach goers needing to keep ice packs cold. Each of these things alone are not enough to seek someone out to share dissatisfaction, but the totality of them was enough to make us feel cheated when we’re familiar with lodging in the area and what they cost.
- Mary (9/5): Wonderful short getaway to a charming inn. - Continental breakfast was very good . Different offerings each morning of our stay. The kitchen hostess was lovely and so pleasant. The patios are inviting and comfortable. It was fun to have breakfast outside. Denise and Peter are perfect innkeepers! Room size was small but manageable for a short stay.

- Laura (6/5): - Ship’s Knees Inn is a beautiful property run by lovely people. We truly enjoyed both patios for breakfast and nighttime fun around the fire pit; the excellent pool at the end of hot days; and the fresh and well-kept grounds (flowers everywhere.) The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is the significant drawbacks of our very tiny room: the bed was a super uncomfortable big marshmallow (we didn't sleep well during our entire visit); the walls were embarrassingly thin; and it was dark throughout the day. This room might best be used as a storage area; certainly not worth the cost. In any case we'd return to this Inn and request a better room.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - What a wonderful stay I had! The property is beautiful and clearly well cared-for, and a short walk from the beach. It’s nestled into a quiet part of the town which is what I was looking for. The owners are accessible, friendly, and very helpful. It was so easy to follow the instructions for contactless check-in and check-out. The breakfast spread was simple but satisfying, just what I needed. My room was small but the furniture was arranged very nicely to make the most of it. My two complaints are: first, the room often felt damp despite the AC, though that’s likely explained by the orientation of that room in particular and the weather that week; and teeny tiny bugs invited themselves in by the window two nights of my stay—again, likely due to the orientation of the room and the damp weather. Neither of these issues prevented me from thoroughly enjoying my stay. I will absolutely look to stay there again next time I come out!

Must share our secret garden with others.
