- Erin (10/5): - The rooms were very comfortable and spacious! The complimentary breakfast was so easy, and the staff were amazing! The hotel is in an easy location, close to restaurants and amenities. The pool gave my kids a rash, but they still had fun!

- Deanne (10/5): A very pleasant, quiet relaxing weekend which I desperately needed. - The breakfast was a wide variety of all food groups. Fruit, protein and biscuits and gravy! Keeping it better stocked over weekend. Food ran out and it was still an hour away from ending breakfast. Be better prepared when a bus of youth come in and add more staff.

- Tanie (9/5): Easy peasy, not stupid expensive - Everyone was working hard, greeting, cleaning, room was laid out nicely and plenty of space. Quiet, ease of parking and close but not next to expressway. Breakfast was plentiful, well tended and tables we’re constantly bussed and clean… The bed didn’t feel like a typical Marriott comfort
- Patricia (6/5): Not As Advertised - There were broken blinds. The Netflix and and YouTube were out for the entire hotel and the problem was never fixed. The glass shade on the desk is missing so doing any work and blocking light during work was intrusive for other that were sleeping.

She chatted on & on with each guest causing the remaining guest to wait forever at 10pm at night. i simply wanted to check in and go rest after a long drive. Friendly customer service is highly appreciated however, if it causes bad service it’s not worth it.

- Elizabeth (8/5): Overall Good - Conveniently located. Overall it was a good experience. A couple critical remarks, the beds were not comfortable and the pool was not the cleanest.
- James (6/5): - So I rarely leave a review, but this is an exception. The rooms in the hotel are clean, spacious, and nice. We only had one issue. It was HOT! I don’t just mean warm I mean 85 degrees. Apparently there was update to “smart” units that aren’t very smart. That said after a miserable night Brittany was able to get us another room and a refund for one night. So while I’d like to slam the hotel, the staff was great! That said fix the AC folks!

- Kenneth A. (10/5): - We toured the US Airforce Museum on an overnight trip from Pittsburgh. The property was 10 minutes from the museum, located on the outskirts of a nice mall. The property was well kept, rooms clean, reasonably priced, and the staff was professionally friendly. There were several restaurants and an arcade in walking distance. They had a small indoor pool and small gym. Breakfast bar had many choices, but nothing special. Hot food was pretty bland. Thanks for a nice stay away from home!

Close to shopping and eateries. Safe and quiet. The bathroom. Although it is real designed and pleasant; the shower curtain does not keep water from the tile floor. It became very slippery.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't stay here with anxious kids - The wall literally had a hole in it. Do not stay at this property with anxious children. My seven year old saw it, and didn't mention, it he cried for a long time over it, saying he wanted to go home. He finally showed me why he was upset before we left. There was an open hole cut in the wall between the beds. This property needs to ensure holes are not left in walls. It was fairly creepy to see. Even though it may be behind a stand, kids see the world differently from their viewpoint.

- Kathryn (10/5): A very nice place to stay. - Our stay at SHS in Dayton Beavercreek was very nice. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was hot and tasty. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. All in all it was a very nice place to stay.

We were disappointed in the room lighting, it was terrible, the veiw of a concrete wall wasnt much, and it would have been nice to had some hanger hooks to have hung the ironed clothes on by the only area in the room for the ironing board to be set up. Overall just slightly below expectations for the cost of the stay.

Window was open in room when we checked in and manager was already aware that it was a known problem for room 508.

- Kav123456 (2/5): PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE - DO NOT STAY HERE! FRIENDS STAYED AT THE HILTON NEARBY AND HAD NO ISSUES I ignored the bad reviews about management because there were many good reviews. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. We were in town for my son’s graduation from medical school. We had three rooms. They put us all next to each other. One of my daughters walked right in our room and thought it was odd that it wasn’t locked. She looked at the door and saw duct tape on the door frame and on the door itself preventing it from locking. We had to leave for the ceremony so I removed the tape and then realized I forgot my coat. I tried to get back in the room but my key card wouldn’t work. I let the front desk know the situation and they said they would address it while we were gone. We returned a couple of hours later. I asked the front desk attendant if they fixed the door and he said unfortunately we could not get a hold of our maintenance person so we will move you to a new room. We won’t be able to get into your room until tomorrow (Sunday) or maybe Monday! (We were leaving for home Sunday morning!) So he was saying we couldn’t get to any of our belongings (medications, clothes, toiletries, etc). We had dinner reservations and needed to leave but instead we were now dealing with this. I asked about a locksmith and he said no one can help because it’s the weekend. So I called a locksmith myself. He said he could be there in an hour. We go to dinner and my husband comes back to the hotel when the locksmith arrives. The front desk confirms that the hotel will cover the cost of the locksmith. He attempts to unlock the door but was unable to because the deadbolt had locked. He said he would have to drill through the door. My husband said to the hotel worker either he drills through the door or we need to call the police. He needed his medication most of all. So he said go ahead and drill. He got the door opened. My husband moved our belongings to a new room on another floor and came back to dinner. When we returned to the hotel the locksmith was still there! He said they were refusing to pay him until Monday. Which would have been okay but the hotel worker refused to sign the invoice stating that they would agree to pay on Monday. He kept going in the back room and calling his “manager” and would then come out and give more excuses why he couldn’t sign/pay. He refused to let us speak to the manager directly but gave us his card with his number. The number calls the front desk lol. This went on for an hour or two. I felt bad because I had called the locksmith and I wanted to make sure he got paid. He was the nicest guy. Very respectful and calm. Finally the locksmith said his boss told him if they won’t at least sign the invoice stating they will pay on Monday that he needed to call the police. The attendant still refused so we called the police. They arrived and got statements from all of us and saw our recordings of the interactions. They were able to get a hold of the manager. The police finally got the invoice signed and that was that. (Still don’t know if he got paid) My younger son and I ended up staying on the pullout couch in our older kids room because we didn’t feel safe staying on another floor away from them after all of this. My husband shared a bed with his dad in his room. The next morning we checked out and were told they would be discussing this incident with the owner (apparently this hotel is individually owned) and they would get back to us. We did not feel we should be charged for any of the rooms with the way things were handled. I did not hear from anyone so I called the hotel few days later. We were told the hotel had a big meeting about this incident and the owner would call us. Still have not heard from the owner. They ended up charging us for 2 of the 3 rooms. And again, still have not heard back from anyone! Let me just say if the front desk guy had been the slightest bit apologetic, empathetic, helpful, and/or friendly I would have felt differently. Mistakes happen. Apparently the room was supposed to have been taken out of rotation because this was a known issue for several days. He should have been proactive in calling a locksmith not me. The manager should have spoken with us directly but apparently refused. I don’t want something like this to happen to someone else who stays here. I chose this hotel because it was the most expensive and looked clean. I get grossed out by hotels in general so Im willing to spend more expecting to get more. I ignored the bad reviews about the new management/owners. I won’t make that mistake again. Like I said earlier, things can go wrong but it’s how it’s handled that matters. In the end, our son graduated! It was awesome! We will never speak of this part again lol! Just want others to beware❤️ SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!
