• SAUTOUR (5/5): Pas a la hauteur de la présentation...Commentaires sympas mais ne reflétant pas la réalité - Lion King Hotel est clairement un établissement qui paraît mieux en photo qu’en réalité, il faut être honnête. Les commentaires positifs viennent sans doute surtout de l’accueil, qui reste sympathique. L’hôtel possède un style un peu désuet et les chambres le sont encore davantage. Une odeur nauséabonde revient régulièrement, ce qui peut vite devenir dérangeant, et la rue est parfois un peu bruyante, même si cela reste supportable — après, je reconnais être assez exigeant sur ce point. Le confort reste malgré tout correct si l’on n’est pas trop regardant, mais il y a beaucoup de petits détails imparfaits qui risquent d’agacer des occidentaux habitués à certains standards. Je dirais que c’est un hôtel qui conviendra davantage à des backpackers expérimentés ou à des voyageurs simples cherchant surtout un point de chute. En revanche, le rapport qualité/prix me semble discutable, car pour quelques euros de plus il est possible de séjourner dans de vrais hôtels 4 étoiles bien équipés, parfois un peu plus éloignés du centre certes, mais aujourd’hui avec Grab cela ne change plus grand-chose. Ce n’est pas un incontournable selon moi, mais pour une ou deux nuits, pourquoi pas tenter l’aventure… pour le goût du risque. Lion King Hotel ce que je n’ai pas apprécié concerne surtout les odeurs dans la salle de bain, qui deviennent parfois à la limite du supportable, surtout avec la forte chaleur. Peut-être qu’une vraie fenêtre ou une meilleure aération naturelle améliorerait l’atmosphère, car actuellement il n’y a qu’un système de grosse ventilation qui ne semble pas suffisant. La chambre donnait aussi une impression assez vétuste dans l’ensemble. Pourtant, avec quelques améliorations simples, de petits travaux, un rafraîchissement des boiseries, un bon coup de peinture et un mobilier un peu modernisé, l’expérience pourrait être nettement meilleure.

• Fiona (9/5): Good Value - Great value. We just wanted a clean hotel not too far from the airport and on the right side of town to drive to the Red Lotus Lake. It fitted the bill. The short walk to the large park, Chinese centre and shopping mall was a bonus.

• Νανά Δρίζη (10/5): - Μεγάλο δωμάτιο, καθαρό με όλα τα απαραίτητα. Είχε ακόμη και σεσουάρ. Το προσωπικό πολύ εξυπηρετικό. Δεν βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της πολης, αλλα κοντά σ ένα μεγάλο ευχάριστο παρκο, Στο κέντρο φτάνεις σε 30 λεπτά με τα πόδια. Πολύ καλή σχέση ποιότητας τιμής.

• Matthias Fuß (5/5): Hotel entspricht nicht den relativ hohen Bewertungen - Jeden Tag wurde gereinigt und 2 frische Duschtücher, allerdings nur 1 Handtuch für 2 Personen. angemessener Preis, gute Lage zum Zentrum (Grab ca. 65 Baht), Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Die Schränke und Regale waren nicht sauber, der Safe war kaputt und konnte nicht verwendet werden. Mobiliar ist alt und sehr dunkel was deshalb schlecht ist da nur hinten ein Balkonfenster ist und beim vorderen Fenster der Vorhang geschlossen sein muss, da jeder vom Außenflur, über den jeder Laufen muss, ins Innere sehen könnte. Das ganze Zimmer wirkt daher noch dunkler. Da die Türe nicht dicht schließt hört man den Straßenlärm, vorallem von vorbeifahrenden Motorrädern, zum Glück aber wenig Verkehr. Unangenehmer Abwassergeruch im Bad.

Bed was comfortable, shower and Aircon worked very well, staff were very helpful and friendly.There's lots of Thai restaurants a five minute walk from the hotel and a 711 and mini c close by . I would recommend this place and will definitely return on my next visit to udon Thani. .
