Guest Reviews
- Wiena (10/5): - We had the most wonderful and peaceful weekend. To wake up with nature's sounds, birds, frogs, chickens, was the best. I am a country girl, so for us, it was just everything we hope for. Willem went out of his way to assist where needed. With a smile, I must add. Highly recommended 👌.
- Dean (9/5): -
- Awong0308 (9/5): - Beautiful and peaceful place .
Thanks for the free bottle of wine .
Nice cottage .
- Meg (10/5): We loved our stay at Seven Oaks Vineyard Cottages and appreciated the warm hospitality! - We loved our stay at Seven Oaks Vineyard Cottages! My husband and I stayed in the Pinotage cottage and we were especially impressed by the thoughtfulness of the details and 'small touches': delicious crunchies in a jar for us to enjoy, a complimentary bottle of wine, hot water bottles to keep warm, wood to get us started with some fires, toiletries in the bathroom, and the Turkish Bath was filled AND heated for us to enjoy as soon as we arrived. The cottage was very neat and clean and we felt very warmly welcomed! The cottage is surrounded by beautiful scenery and we appreciated the privacy of the space as well. We had family staying in some of the other cottages and we especially loved the Shiraz cottage - the outside space with the patio, bonfire pit and Turkish bath, lend itself to relaxing and socialising while soaking in the incredible views - just stunning!
- Marielise (9/5): -
- Steven (10/5): Amazing Secluded Getaway - Amazing secluded cottage, perfect to get away. Free wine tasting was a nice perk and the wine was delicious. Recommend shopping before as not that much around All amenities were amazing, shower needed a bit more pressure but a minor issue
- Leané (8/5): -
- Lisa (9/5): Relaxing, comfortable and memorable. - Such a beautiful area and very homely yet classy cottages. We didn't want for anything, from the firepit to the turkish bath this place was exquisite. We laughed, braai-ed and explored the surrounding area. Thanks for having us! Pillows a bit high on bed (we should bring our own as you are used to that) and only one bathroom which we didn't realise we weren't used too.
- METIG (10/5): - Beautiful cottage.
Well managed by Jacqui.
She is very helpful.
Communication is great.
Very clean.
You have all you need for a peaceful stay.
- Paulina (9/5): Lovely weekend away - Lovely setting, staff were super friendly, the location was absolutely stunning. The cottage was very peaceful and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. The hosts even kindly warmed up the hot tub before our arrival!
- Christine (9/5): -
- Dharmista (10/5): Perfect - It was so serene and the wine was amazing !!
- Kristen (10/5): - We had such a lovely stay here. The peaceful, middle-of-nowhere vibe was exactly what we were after and made it so easy to switch off. The Turkish bath was amazing and definitely a highlight. We also really enjoyed the wine and our walk through the gorgeous farm.
Already can’t wait to come back in the colder months. Thank you to the Seven Oaks team, you're excellent!

- Sharlene (10/5): We had an amazing one night stay, the hot tub was great and we enjoyed star gazing whilst relaxing in the tub. Such a qu - Such a lovely cottage, everything was so well thought out. All extra touches were much appreciated especially the wine and cookies. There was everything there to tide you over when you got there. Nothing.
- Henriette (10/5): -
- Anel (10/5): Perfect, romantic, peaceful... - Spent a weekend celebrating my husband's birthday in this wonderful, heaven on earth, farm. So much detail put into this cottage. We spent a lot of time in the turkish bath, cooling down during the day, taking in the mountain views, and stargazing at night. The host, Jacqui is very welcoming and popped by for a quick meet and greet. A perfect weekend in a perfect place. Will be back for sure!
- Karen (9/5): Great place to stay with beautiful views and very comfortable. - Seven Oaks is set in beautiful surroundings and very private. There are 4 cottages in a row but well positioned for privacy. Everything was exceptional clean and the bed very comfortable. It had everything we need for a three night stay. Jacqui was very pleasant and helpful with local recommendations and the free wine tasting was good. We also paid for the MCC which was lovely. Many thanks and can fully recommend staying in this accommodation. I had forgotten it didn’t have a TV which for some people is a real plus. We did have a laptop so were able to stream some films to watch in the evening!
- Alvené (9/5): - The cottages are cozy and the kitchen is well-equipped. Jacqui really thinks of everything one might need.
- Natalia (10/5): - Very quiet and nice. Would love to return again. No European standard sockets in the bedroom
- Devon (10/5): Beautiful spot with great braai areas and a relaxing Turkish bath. - Seven Oaks was a wonderful stay.
The attention to detail made the experience feel truly special. The Turkish bath with the mountain views and the full moon rising behind them was absolutely breathtaking.
Jacqui was fantastic and incredibly helpful, and we were genuinely disappointed that we had only booked one night.
A really great stay and highly recommended We visited on New Year’s Day, so the tasting room was unfortunately closed, which is completely understandable. We did stop by again the next day, and it really does look like a great experience. The staff were super friendly and gave us even more motivation to return
- Marius (8/5): - Beautiful views, quiet peaceful location, the accommodation was well equipped and its evident that a lot of thought was given into the needs of the guests. Our hostess was very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
- Danielle (10/5): -
- Janine (9/5): -

- Beata (10/5): Most relaxing experience in a stunning countryside setting. - This is sort of place you want to return to time and time again. The cottages are set among the wine grows surrounded by spectacular mountains. The furnishings are comfortable and of quality, everything works, the rooms are spacious and every details has been carefully considered. Beautiful flowers and exotic plants line up the walkways and we loved relaxing and listening to the birds on our own private patio. Jacqui and Patrick are most hospitable and friendliest hosts and their wines are truly superb. We recommend trying them all! :) Our best farm stay so far!
- Ian (10/5): -
- Sonja + Hennie (10/5): -
- Natasja (10/5): - The area is gorgeous! The attention to detail in the cottage was amazing. Wine tasting and cheese platter delicious. Nothing
- Yolanda (10/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Will definitely go back again - Stunning location. Staff very friendly. Wines were outstanding
- Sylvia (8/5): -
- Susan (8/5): We'd love to return to this paradise and enjoy a longer stay. - Everything was more than we expected. From the start, our friendly, helpful host kept in touch and paid a visit to ensure all was well. It had the decor and feel of the wine farm & country surroundings. a great deal of thought had gone into the comfortable accommodation and we had so much space to relax and unwind. House-keeping was excellent. The gardens were well tended and set the scene for peace.... The wine tasting was fun and our hostess there was both competent and welcoming. __ we realised in hind-sight that we should have extended our stay.
- Guest (10/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): Incredible, relaxing to it's max which is what we were wanting to do - Everything was absolutely perfect. From advising location, keys, met with farm manager on arrival to make sure we were all ok. The hot tub had been lit for us, that was a huge bonus as we go away often and the hot tub is a pain to light a wait until it is warm, so we were able to relax from the beginning which is what we went there for.
They offer wine tasting of their wine to the guests staying, that is incredibly kind, we are not big wine drinkers so it would have been wasted on us, but that it was available is very generous.
We will be back with bells on our toes, that is for sure
- Maggott (10/5): Absolutely wonderful and will definitely return - Extremely comfortable and cosy cottage in a very pretty location with enchanting views of the valley and surrounding mountains Nil
- METIG (10/5): - Great place and the host

- Maggott (9/5): I would highly recommend this accommodation - Very comfortable stay and all requirements available.
- Richard (8/5): -
- Maria (9/5): our second visit this year and will definitely return again. -
- Felicity (9/5): Escape from City Life - Location, comfy bed, secluded garden, Turkish bath, free winetasting, welcome gift Flies are a bit bothersome, but it is a fruit farm, so it is understandable. Proximity of the other cottages
- Frikkie (9/5): Excellent weekend brakeaway. - Beautiful location None
- Shelly (10/5): Superb cottage with private hot tub and braai! - The cottage was private, with an indoor and outdoor braai. Fortunately we had good weather so could enjoy the outdoor braai and hot tub each day! Our stay included a free wine tasting and free bottle of wine. If you do the wine tasting, also try the theatre of aromas. It was so much fun! Nothing - our stay was perfect
- Carmen (9/5): It was an amazing stay and I felt close to nature. I will definitely return - views, comforts, games and location I had to pay for the turkish bath because I only stayed one night
- Erin (9/5): Superb -
- Alretha (10/5): Amazing, relaxing & stunning stay @Seven Oaks - The accommodation, setting, views, taste room, and owners friendly correspondence, from the get go was really amazing! The cottage and surroundings are next level, beds were very comfortable, the bath tub is stunning and the hot tub was so relaxing.
Everything absolutely everything was lovely!! The knowledge of the taste room ladies about the history of the farm shows that everybody at Seven Oaks is part of the greater/ larger Seven Oaks family Nothing.

- Radostina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ina (9/5): Favourite part of the holiday! - Love the views with the Turkish bath and the complimentary wine tasting and Wine Safari. It was so quiet and the house was really great. - Marius (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (10/5): Fantastic - Very clean and neat and very well equipped with everything you need. Great views and a relaxing environment.
- Kumaren (9/5): Superb - Well equipped cottage with indoor and outdoor braai facilities.
The star of the show was the Turkish Bath with a view. Watching the stars at night from the Turkish bath was absolutely spectacular, a priceless experience. No tv.
- Rob (9/5): Beautiful break on the Breede - The hospitality was world class! Jacqui made every effort to ensure we had what we needed for our stay, all the little things that we needed to make our stay more comfortable were seen to. The staff kept the place looking immaculate which as a family we very much appreciated The only slight downside was that we booked a cottage with one toilet which is a stretch for a 4 person stay
- Barbera (10/5): refreshing pause - our 5th time here. was a great 2 days away from a busy life just to refresh. .
- Leon (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was just perfect
- Florence (7/5): Good - Location, comfort of bed! Did not meet anyone! Very impersonal! The room was not dressed during our absence. Only stayed 2 nights.
- Darren (10/5): Lovely, quiet and relaxing break in stunning location - The cottages are set in beautiful vineyards with mountain views all round the property. The cottage itself was thoughtfully decorated and very well equipped. The Turkish bath was hot on our arrival, making our first night easy and stress-free. The crunchies provided were delicious and we really enjoyed the free wine tasting that came with our booking. Thanks to the amazing hosts for a wonderful break :-)
- Melissa (10/5): Would visit again! - Cosy and lovely
Everything you would need is there
Turkish bath was hot from the sun - enjoyed a midnight swim without hassles
- Cloete (8/5): Very good -
- Helena (8/5): Very good -
- Brett (10/5): Perfect escape into the peaceful mountains. - Incredibly quiet and private. It felt like a home away from home. The hot tub was amazing. Nothing
- Sidney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leon (10/5): Nice, will come again -
- Corlia (10/5): Wonderful, peaceful, beautiful - Everything was amazing, and the host, Willem, went above and beyond to accommodate us. We liked everything
- Kerry (8/5): Nice homely cottage with views of mountains - The cottage was very homely and was well set up with everything that you might need. Nice views of the mountains and the surrounding farmland. Wished we had booked it for longer.
- Matthew (9/5): Cosy farm-style cottage stay surrounded by incredible mountains - Beautiful location - the cottages are surrounded by incredible mountains and picturesque farmlands. The braai/fire place inside the cottage was a lifesaver with the cold weather and wind we had for the days we visited. We booked the place to use the Turkish bath but the weather unfortunately didn't play along - although the bath facilities were great. Jacqui (the host) was very friendly and informative and the cottage included some treats for guests. Not a big problem but the bathroom is a shared space off the the 2 bedrooms, so just something to be aware of depending on who you are travelling with. The doors to each room off the bathroom can both be looked from inside the bathroom, so there is a system in place that works.
Guests would likely appreciate a few bags of wood being provided with the cottage.
- Jeremy (10/5): There were no problems with anything, which is exactly what I like. Everything was supplied. - Everything was perfect- lockbox opened fine, all the lights worked, enough toilet paper, hot water bottles, small milk in the fridge, a bottle of wine, some crunchies to nibble, plently of wood and braai facilities, towels ... everything! Very reasonable price too. Even the wifi automatically connected (was surprised). And the outdoor tub was already warmed for us! So no stress. We also prefer no tv. I think the beauty is that we did not have any problem which we would then have had to solve, which has happened to me at other places (eg lights not working or dirty or whatever.) Ours hosts also recommended an excellent place to have supper the second night - the Tulbach Hotel. We really enjoyed that. So overall we had a great time and just relaxed, with no pressure or problems. Bless Jacqui and Willem. My partner wanted tissues. No biggie.
- Gert (9/5): Superb -
- Alexandra (10/5): We had a wonderful stay! Would definitely go back - N/A it is self catering We enjoyed everything
