• Felix (10/5): Idyllische Auszeit für die Seele - Die Aussicht ist einfach spektakulär und ein echtes Highlight des Aufenthalts. Der Gastgeber ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Zimmer ist sehr gemütlich und vermittelt ein echtes „Zuhause-weg-von-Zuhause“-Gefühl. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt, den ich jederzeit weiterempfehlen würde. Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre, Mückenschutz an den Fenstern anzubringen, damit man problemlos bei offenem Fenster schlafen kann.

• Thomas (10/5): Phantastische Aussicht. - Komfortables Zimmer mit phantastischer Aussicht auf die Lagune. Ausgesprochen freundlicher Gastgeber, die Gespräche mit ihm beim Frühstück haben viel Spaß gemacht. Immer wieder gerne! Nix.
• Jonathan (10/5): Very comfortable B&B with great views over Knysna Lagoon. - We had a really nice stay at Paradise Found. The views from the property across the Knysna lagoon are simply stunning. Very good communication with Johan about arrival time. The rooms are very comfortable. No aircon in ours, but a ceiling fan did the job keeping things cool. Breakfast on the patio was really nice, and cleverly managed so that wastage was minimised. In terms of value, this was the best accommodation of our holiday. And Johan also recommended an excellent farm stall to stop at on our long drive towards Cape Town on our departure day - Die Skeerhok Padstal just off the N2 near Heidelberg. We had an excellent lunch there. Nothing, all really comfortable and well organised, with a very friendly and helpful host.

• joachim (9/5): Gerne wieder bei Johan. Er hat auch noch ein 2. neues Gästehaus - Die Unterkunft und die eigene Terrasse war super. Am besten aber fanden wir Johan, er war unsere Nummer 1 unter den Gastgeber in Südafrika. Wir hatten gute Gespräche, er ist sehr auskunftsfreudig und ökologisch orientiert. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen. Eigentlich nichts 😋
• Ron (8/5): Fabulous view over Kynsna Bay - Big attraction is the fabulous view across Knysna Bay. Johan could not have been more friendly, or done more for us. Small patio facing the Bay. Our room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Although the patio had a superb view, there was nowehere to sit and read comfortably outside. The seats provided were not comfortable for any length of time.
• Tracy (10/5): Would I go back - absolutely. - We stayed in the bottom room with a balcony. Lovely big bed and room a good size. Simply fabulous views, good secure car parking. Johan is a terrific host, he helped (and booked) us with restaurants and extremely knowledgeable on the area.
• Peter (9/5): - Johan is an excellent host, and we enjoyed our conversations with him at breakfast time. We had breakfast each morning on the outside decking, a wonderful way to start each day! Johan gave us lots of information about the local area and shared recommendations for places to visit and eat. Our room was clean and comfortable, and our outside decking had a stunning view over the lagoon. There is secure car parking on site and lots of Ubers around for going to restaurants in the evening. There was nothing to dislike.

Johan was so friendly and helped make an appointment to see a dentist urgently. His breakfast is amazing and very lovely sat on balcony overlooking the whole of Knysna. Johan’s knowledge of the area and restaurants was invaluable. Nothing was too much trouble. The garden is gorgeous with lots of birds. A real haven. Absolutely nothing!

A short drive to the waterfront and Thesen island and obviously an amazing view over the Knysna lagoon. The apartment was excellent: spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the facilities you could wish for. Everything was spotless and clearly arranged with great care. The view is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful nature. Waking up to this view every day never gets old. The area is peaceful and incredibly scenic. Johan is a wonderful host. Friendly, welcoming, and always available when needed. You feel immediately at home here. A place I look back on with great pleasure and would highly recommend without any hesitation.

Located in a nice residential area, up at the end of the Knysna hills, overlooking the lagoon. A good choice, even if not exceptional. Rooms good and work well, yet a bit outdated and a relatively "normal" design compared to some of the stunning, African-style stays one gets at the Garden Route. Also, noise of the main street in Knysna remains present - tradeoff vs the great location. Thelen island is more remote, yet also more quiet.

Die Gastfreundschaft von Johan können wir-wie hier schon so oft beschrieben-nur bestätigen. Wir konnten sogar früher einchecken. Zur kleinen Waterfront im Ort sind wir zum Essen zu Fuß gelaufen und zurück mit dem Uber gefahren. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit hier!

• Linda (9/5): Schöne Unterkunft mit Blick auf Knysna - Es war wirklich schön, Johan der Gastgeber, ist total offen und herzlich, wir haben beim Frühstück soooo viel über Afrika gelernt durch ihn, wahnsinnig interessant! Das Zimmer ist außerdem auch sehr schön und hat alles, was man benötigt. Der Balkon bietet eine schöne Aussicht auf die Lagune und es gab auch einen sehr sehr günstigen Laundry Service.

The view from the room is breathtaking when the weather is beautiful. International visitors add some additional vibe. Knysna cuisine presents with a great variety of tastes and flavors. I did not like only a rainy weather which we had for a day and a half.

• Michelle (10/5): 10/10 .. Best accommodation we stayed in on our whole trip! - Everything was just perfect ! We absolutely loved staying in this apartment. It is truly a little paradise and you won’t regret booking it! The owner is so friendly and helpful. We could feel like home and the view over the lagoon is just marvellous. Nothing. We absolutely enjoyed it!
• Andreas (10/5): Great stay overlooking Knysna Heads - Johan is a great host. Accommodation is as advertised with fantastic view over Knysna and the Heads. Nice touches such as topped up filtered water and milk daily and arranging optional restaurant bookings for first few evenings to ensure we had good dining options which we used. Unit also cleaned daily.
• Dustin (10/5): It did feel like we were literally staying in Paradise! - The views were spectacular! Johan was very friendly and attentive, and catered to our needs. He recommended a few restaurants and activities in the area which were all amazing. Will stay there again in a heart beat!

• Frank (10/5): One of the top 3 stays during my 5-week tour across South Africa - The location and views from the accomodation were great, the hygiene was top notch, the breakfast was great, but what I liked most was the incredible customer-friendliness, service commitment and communication with my host Johan. Breakfast every morning was a pleasure, not only because of the excellent breakfast, but especially the information Johan gave about the area and the country. Ask him a question, all the facts , and he has an answer. I learned a lot from him about this beautiful country. If I will come to this area again I would definitely book a stay with Paradise Found again. No doubt about it. I thought I had taken photos of the accommodation, but I seem to have forgotten. Johan, our landlord and very ambitioned and successful biker had always time for us, read every wish from our lips, was flexible and a very interesting person and partner for good talks. • Peter (9/5): Superb - Extremely helpful and informative hosts with trip and food choices (Sirocco restaurant a real winner), Character room with excellent private balcony exception views over estuary and town. Very personal breakfast, quality food. Strongly recommend. Comparatively small to other places stayed on this trip but doesn’t matter. Payment system bad - not the sole fault of B&B. Payment of 50% well before travel created uncertainty - I felt we had paid, host suggested otherwise - created unnecessary tension and wasted valuable time investigating bank accounts to resolve. Booking.com needs to improve this approach as the two worst experiences of some 15 properties stayed occurred when this approach had been adopted.

Brilliant breakfast served on our private balcony every day. Room very comfortable and well equipped for a stay of a few days. Parking included. Great value. Amazing hosts who could not do enough for us. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place in the Knysna area Nothing. Keep up the good work :)
